Question: Do you think this is weird? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 05:40 PM PST Do you think it's weird if adults meets like a cat? Because I was talking to my friend on the phone and she is a lot older than me and I was telling her about my cat that I have and she started meowing. I thought it was creepy but I guess she was just trying to be funny but do you think that's weird? |

Question: How to treat teen with a disability? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 05:18 PM PST Hi! There is this very sweet girl at my school with special needs. (high school). I am going to take her out to get our nails done and get ice cream on Saturday. I was just wondering how I should treat her (obviously by being nice and how I would treat any one else) but how can I help her in case she has a tantrum or something like that. I hope I dont sound ignorant by this question but I just want her to feel valued and like she has a friend |

Question: Can a 14 Year old date a 13 Year old if they are in the same grade? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 12:51 PM PST Do you think there's something wrong with the maturity gap or is it about the same? Like is there a big maturity difference between a 13 and 14 Year old? |
Question: Roommate and best friend hit my car! Help me I need advice? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 12:42 PM PST So recently my actual best friend and roommate backed into my car. I told him it was not a big deal because I wasn't super worried about it, and did not really assess the damage he did to my bumper. I figured it wasn't big, noticeable, and wasn't a big deal so I suggested he give me like $75 for it and call it a day. He refused and I went to assess the damage, and realized my offer was stupid and I was glad he didn't take it. We didn't discuss the accident for two days but suddenly, out of no where, my roommate texts me and is asking my car make and model. I drive a Jeep Wrangler, for door sport. So its not a piece of **** car. I text him that I want to get an assessment like an adult and go from there, to which he gets upset with me and says he is broke and cant afford to get my car fixed where I would prefer it get fixed. |
Question: Needy friend ...how to deal with her? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 12:00 PM PST We've been friends for several years, but lately she's becoming extremely needy to the point where I am doing basically everything but coming out and telling her to leave me alone. She invites herself along when I go places/ I've started changing/cancelling my plans b/c I just can't deal with her. Then she will check up on me to see if I did the plans without her, I feel like I'm being stalked at times. She is exhausting to be around. She whines about her marriage, complains to me about every aspect in her life etc. Shes not going to change her situation, but continues to complain.CONSTANTLY. I've made other friends, but she doesn't take the hint and starts hanging around my new friends too. It's annoying. |

Question: Why do I distance myself when I feel someone getting clingy (friendship-wise)? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 11:15 AM PST I'm introvert by nature. |
Question: My best friend is ignoring me in school? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 11:12 AM PST Hey! So my best friend has ignored me for like 2 days now in school, it started yesterday when she got a" headache" and i asked her what's wrong and she turned around and Said aggressivly "NOTHING I SAID". After that my other friend asked her what's wrong and she Said she got a headache, so i though id be nice and how she is feeling and again she acted very rude. And when i got to school today she was talking to the popular girl in my class witch im also friends with, so i walked towards them and they just stoped talking, i asked them fiendly "what's up" and again she answeared "NOTHING" and i explained to her i didn't mean that in rude way and again she just answeared " NOTHING", it's like talking to a ******* wall. A while after that we where in class, and i just said " hi " to her when she was standing in front of my desk, and she just looked at me and didn't even answear. After that class we had math and when math endes i walked beside and Said again "hi" she just look at me and Said " okay" and walked faster so she could walk with another girl, and i messaged her today and asked her something about school, and she haven't replied. i know i sound very desparate to talk to her but that's only cause im worried iv'e Done something wrong, it feels like she is really mad at me for no reason, or maybe she thinks she is "cool" now that she is friends with the popular school. She have always been a little rude to me calling my butt flat and i don't know what's going on really.. |
Posted: 31 Jan 2019 09:43 AM PST I am a little confused about a situation. I recently made a friend (opposite sex) and I made sure that he knew that it wont be anything more than a friendship. However, I do know that we both find each other attractive but not to the extent where we want to pursue anything. Everything was fine, we were on great terms. texting, he invited me to hang out...etc. I texted him saying that i can hang out and he completely ignored it, I sent out a text the following day apologizing if i did anything wrong and there was no reply. Did I do anything wrong? why would someone just stop replying even without an explanation? I really enjoy his company and I do not believe that he wanted anything more than a friendship. |
Question: Are my friends terrible friends, or am I being a brat? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 09:32 AM PST So basically I applied for this awesome job at NBC. And I asked some of my friends to be references for me, I was so excited!! Well, basically I had to send them an email and they had to fill out a survey on my behalf.. and some of them never did it. They said they would, but I get an email when someone actually does . Am I in the wrong to resent them? I feel really disgusted because I would've done it for them in a heartbeat. Am I overreacting or do I need new friends? I'm very upset. |
Question: Why is she mad at me? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:54 AM PST We're just friends, but she treats me like if we were in a relationship. Like she got mad and is mad because I mentioned a friend she met. That friend and I have this conflict and we don't talk a lot. I talk to this friend more and I always treat her nicely. She changed the subject and when I asked why she changed the subject, she said she didn't but she did. She seemed to get mad that I helped my other friend out but when she helped her friend out, she hoped I didn't get mad which I wasn't. A lot of women were talking to me yesterday in front of her and she quickly avoided them and wouldn't say hi to them when I introduced her to them. She didn't want to hug me like she would always do. |
Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:01 AM PST I rushed at an Ivy League with 13 sororities. Sorority recruitment is not competitive. I'm not ugly. I'm very attractive. I'm not full of myself but people aggressively told me I would get into a top house. This flaw was clearly in my personality. The issue is I have no idea what the hell I did wrong. The first round, out of 4, I got 5/13 houses back, which is pretty bad as this is the open round. I didn't say anything weird. I talked a lot because I thought I was supposed to be "bubbly" and asked a lot of questions but I don't know how that would have hurt me. Out of the 5 I got back, I would've realistically joined 3. I was expecting at least 3 more back because I genuinely thought those convos went well. Only 2 went poorly. I got cut from a house that almost lost my jacket, and another house that said "I'll set you up with my brother" for a networking opportunity. My friends all ended up in the same house and I feel excluded. I know a girl that got into a top house that was ok looking at best and didn't really have much of a personality. My friends are annoyed I dropped but the max I could've gotten back was 9, and I still had 3 harder rounds ahead of me. The probability of me getting 3 of the houses I actually liked back was really low if I took such a massive L on round 1. I have noticed that the types of female friends I make are ambitious, pretty, and indivualistic, essentially not very sororityish. I don't know how I put so many people off so quickly. |

Question: Is it normal to give 3 gifts to my best friend? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 02:10 AM PST Is it normal to give 3 gifts to your best friend? Edit So I wanted to give her an eye palette, a necklace and a set of beauty tools (eg pincers, scissors, some brushes, etc.). I'm undecided whatever or not to do it because afterwards it will seem a bit 'strange if I give 3 gifts while the other only 1. It's normal?? Is it OK? P.S. we also had a fight so I do not know if it's okay |
Question: Did I ruin my chances with him forever? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 02:02 AM PST Exactly a year ago I literally went to my crush without even talking to him before and panicked and asked him why he doesn't talk to me. I did it twice. He thought i was so weird and I don't blame him. It's an embarrassing memory of mine. But since that was an entire year ago, could I have a chance now? Or is there no way? I've been thinking about sending him a candy gram for Valentine's Day at school because I think it'd be funny because of the whole thing from last year |
Posted: 31 Jan 2019 01:39 AM PST She told me "Sometimes he hits me and it hurts." She is 13, he is 16. |
Posted: 31 Jan 2019 01:34 AM PST I complimented a person that is kind of a celebrity. ( complimented him saying that he is awesome - I did not compliment his looks, only his intelligence). I showed to my friends a photo I've taken with him. Then, one of my friends said this: " are you dating him?" And the other friend said: " yes, for what I understood, I think she is". They both know It is not true. Did they get kind of jealous about this simple compliment ? from what* |
Posted: 31 Jan 2019 12:57 AM PST I have this fake friend who I spent two years with and I found out recently that she was talking about everyone behind their backs to a random boy online and her best friend is my crush, and I've already set up a really good foundation of our friendship with my crush and he even said himself that I'm not really in the friend zone, but I'm scared that I'll ruin it all when I unfriend her and I just really need someone's opinion. |
Question: Do you like to befriend very very serious person? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 12:36 AM PST I've been told I have always been very serious person who does things as told and by the rule. I follow the leader (and secretly vet those in power to see how great they are and to what extent they can be trusted; true errors and weaknesses will be pointed out!!); make sure everyone is doing everything right; paranoid, cautious. Errors in my life lead to rule making to prevent the same damage in the future; extremely sensitive and takes hurts deep down inside so i have to protect myself; hide like a turtle and only come out when its definitely safe and even then not entirely because how can you relax and be a guard dog at the same time? I can appreciate playfulness but I compartamentalize it. It is like being a guard dog 24.7 welcome to my world. |
Question: Why can’t I connect with people? Posted: 30 Jan 2019 09:32 PM PST I am super awkward and feel like I have a hard time connecting with people around me. Like I feel like I don't know what to say in simple social situations. I just want to make friends and try but people think I'm weird. |
Question: Is it bullying if you ask someone to keep her opinion to herself? Posted: 30 Jan 2019 09:26 PM PST I was on a group chat for a TV show and a person was saying that she didn't like one of the newer characters. Then, someone asked her to keep her opinion to herself. The people online immediately regarded this as bullying and almost kicked her out of the chat. |

Question: Friend ignoring me because I canceled plans? Posted: 30 Jan 2019 07:47 PM PST So one of my friends and I are kinda notorious for having to cancel on each other when we have plans to hang out. I wouldn't even say one of us flakes more than the other it's about even. So a couple saturdays ago she asked me if I could hang out and I said I would have to see because we do live quite a ways away from each other and on the weekends I'm usually a genuinely busy person with family things. So I replied to her that I wouldn't be able to go and ever since then she has been ignoring me. She didn't respond to my text and hasn't communicated to me or reached out since then.. basically giving me the silent treatment. I really don't feel like it's my my place to apologize because I did nothing wrong I genus couldn't hang out, and for her to get super mad and ignore me seems very petty and selfish to me. It sucks because my birthday is coming up soon and I would've invited her but at this point I don t know right now. What you you guys do? Help! |
Question: What can I do to find an old friend? Posted: 30 Jan 2019 07:33 PM PST I had a best friend in elementary school that I lost contact with when I moved before 5th grade. Her family was more private and 'strict' so I'm not too surprised it's been hard to find any information on her. I did look on whitepages (and pay) but I barely got anything at all aside from information I already knew (full name and current address). I've tried looking through social media but that's hit a dead end as well. Is there anything else I can do from here or is this as much as I'm going to be able to get? I'm not too optimistic but I figured I'd ask anyway! |
Question: Is My friend Being a bad person to me? Posted: 30 Jan 2019 07:22 PM PST So I been having this question since today but around two days me and a friend of mine were hanging out in the lockers and his friend (who is a girl) we re then talking, and after she went somewhere I heard her saying "your annoying" (And she said it in a way like she was saying it under her breath)which I would see it wierd for her to say since we were friends since 7th Grade and she s been nice to me all the time, than another was when when we were in the computer room and she would be nice to me and all but then something coincidentally happened again hearing this time "Idiot" and then weirdly I saw my pencil missing,(which I thought she stole my pencil and called me an idiot for it),I don t know if I m looking at this in an other direction or there a friendship problem we re having at the time. |
Question: Babysitter damaged car? Posted: 30 Jan 2019 07:18 PM PST So our nanny uses our car to transport our children to school and sports. Today she was backing out of our driveway, which I admit it very long and curvy, and she backed into a tree she says it was in her blind spot. It's a small dent and will need some new paint. It will probably be around $200 to repair it. She offers to pay for the repair, but should we make her pay for it or just let it slide this time? It's her third day on the job. |
