Question: Is it normal to fight a lot in the second year of marriage? Posted: 21 Jan 2019 08:15 PM PST The first year of marriage seemed to go by smoothly. We are working on year two and there are times we don't even like each other. We don't have many big fights, just a lot of stupid bickering. Is this normal? Is this just part of "growing up?" He's 25 I'm 22 |

Posted: 21 Jan 2019 04:12 PM PST I recently married 10 months ago in Florida. I was forced to move north..way north because my husband had to finish School. He has been trying to finish school for the past 8 years.. he said he would be done by the summer and we could go back to FL then. He has failed classes and has to retake them. he also has to go to a community college to finish general classes. he says he only has 3 core classes left at his university and that's why he wants to finish there. I am doing online school I'm in my master's program and he is still doing his bachelors, he also works full time. I am going insane in this "apartment" cuz really its a basement remodeled. I brought my car from FL and he crashed it. I have no car to get around. I had a job but I quit because I was depressed and paranoid I couldn't deal. I am freezing in this state. I have 2 dogs and I have to take them out throughout the day, and at night because since I don't work I have to do it. It is freezing my joints hurt my fingers hurt everything hurts because it is so cold. I get nose bleeds because the air is so cold. I can't be out more than 2 minutes because I begin to freeze. Literally, my fingers will lock up... I am stuck in this "apartment" 24/7, I don't see my husband because he works all the time from 9 am to 8 30 pm... His family lives above us but they are so difficult to be with. I have my whole family in FL I miss them so much. I can go but I don't know if it's right leaving my husband and waiting for him there. |
Posted: 21 Jan 2019 03:40 PM PST i am 16, muslim, i was engaged 10 years ago to my fathers friend son (he is 20), i fell in love with another guy and cheated on him (didnt have sex) , everyone found out and we will get married on thursday. my family still believe in our culture and traditions, when they found out they beat me a lot, my fiance stopped them from beating me. he was hurt but he still saved me from them. he said he forgave me, but he asked me if i really want to marry him and i said yes because if i say no i know my father will probably beat me more or even murder me and i cant marry my bf anyway (i dont even like my bf ). my fiance is a nice guy, he is hot and has good personality but i still end up talking to other guys. i dont know if i want to marry him or not, or if i like him or not. i am confused.now i am really scared, on thursday it will be my first night with him and i dont know what to do or how things happen. am i even ready? idk why but i really want to impress him (even though i dont like him), i want him to fall in love with me more (he already likes me). maybe because i am scared and want to make sure he will be nice to me forever, maybe that is why i want to make him fall in love with me, or am i just being a teenager that likes to have control over men or seduce them? everything is a mess, what should i do? help about my confusion and first night. thank you. edit: guys, islam has nothing to do with my situation at all. they are forcing me to get married to him while they know its a big sin to force someone into marriage, abusing you children is also a sin. its all about culture and traditions. thanks @Elizabeth @Bertsta first of all I live in Qatar. secondly its not even my choice I am being forced but still he is a good guy, if I say no i don't know what my father will do to me. if i say yes i will live with a guy i don't like but at least a guy that loves me and is supportive than my family. my wedding is on Thursday, 24 |
Posted: 21 Jan 2019 02:51 PM PST I am currently living in the north east are and I am freezing... the only reason Im here is because my husband needs to go to school... but he has been at it for 8 years when he should have finished 4 years ago. Its only been 10 months of living here and I am already going crazy I don t go out because its so cold my joints hurt and head. I get nose bleeds. I don t even see my husband because he also works full time. I was working before but I quit because I was going through depression and paranoia. I came to live here from Florida. All I want is to go back. I have the option to do so. My entire family is there and I miss them so much. I feel so lonely here and I am trying to find work here but it is so cold. I have 2 dogs and its a pain to take them out when its 10 degrees outside! I m tired of living like this and I just want to go back to FL. Since Ive got here I have not been happy at all. please I need help should I go to FL and wait for him...? |

Posted: 21 Jan 2019 10:36 AM PST My husband decided to leave our marriage to be closer to his 7 year old daughter that lives 5 hours away. I followed him to try to talk sense but he was over it. I accepted it and a day later he begged for me to stay with him. I agreed. He wants me and my daughter to leave our hometown and live up towards him. My daughter has a different dad and is 11 and have a close relationship with her father. I am considering leaving but it feels like my daughter must give up her relationship with her dad so my husband can be close to his daughter instead. He is currently homeless and barely able to provide. I am the breadwinner and have a good paying job. If I leave I risk losing my lifestyle. And jeopardize my daughter having a stable home. I really want to make my relationship work. But the daily pain of it all is wearing me down. My husband is so impatient with how much I miss him and the inner turmoil of feeling left behind and force to choose or lose my husband. Just need advice. |
Question: Married couples with no children on purpose? Posted: 21 Jan 2019 10:35 AM PST Why did you decide not to have any? (My husband and I decided that he would get a vasectomy because we love babies but babies grow into disrespectful teens, and ultimately ungrateful adults. We do not want our finances destroyed by another human being for the next 26 years and be unable to retire. The list goes on and on. What are your reasons? |

Posted: 21 Jan 2019 09:40 AM PST I'm only 21 but I don't really want to do either of these things but am afraid I will feel pressured into it if in the future everyone around me is getting married and having kids and then I'll feel obligated to do it. It's giving me so much anxiety. I've heard so many horror stories of people's marriages being ruined because of kids and then I would basically be trapped and have to stay with someone when I wouldn't want to. It sounds like a nightmare to me. And my own parent's marriage was an absolute train wreck and they constantly argued and just "stayed together for the kids". I don't even want to have a wedding if I ever even do get married. I hate being the center of attention and am so uncomfortable in my own skin. And my mom has already started talking about it. She just assumes I'm going to even though I told her I don't really want to. I also don't think I could raise a child because I'm an introvert who needs a lot of alone time to stay sane and I have poor social skills and mental illness. |
Question: Married...what would you do?? Posted: 21 Jan 2019 09:37 AM PST Hi I am married almost 2 years now and my husband has been in between jobs for most of our relationship even before marriage . We been together 5 years total. One job he was at for 9 years he quit an from there he quit all others maybe one other he was laid off. Idk if it would make me a bad wife to leave my irresponsible husband for not working or stay and keep praying that one day he will get it together. I've tried to keep us afloat and his mom helps too but I'm a little resentful I didn't sign up to pay my bills and his too....help? |
Posted: 21 Jan 2019 08:17 AM PST Other... anyway he said they both liked or joined a place on fb and they just commented on their posts... all photos... but I have discovered that is not all they do... he and she send messages via messenger on fb... sometimes very personal and flirtatious ... but his lie is that they only converse on that fb page to which they joined... I have caught him in the past (not on fb) texting and messaging sexually with other women... should I confront him again and say enough is enough ... bye? |
Question: My husband is driving me nuts? Posted: 21 Jan 2019 08:08 AM PST I am in real estate and my husband is driving me crazy. He has bpd, which i can usually deal with. He quit his job friday so im supporting is for the second time in 6 months but he has taken to questioning me about my choice of lip gloss when i go to showings, and yesterday accused me of cheating with a recently divorced client i had stayed in contact with after he had initially been denied in the process because of an open chapter 13, And just got him into a home friday. I had all the emails and texts to prove it was entirely work related, which i showed him. But after i snapped at him over the last lip gloss bs he left the house and went to wild pitch. He had promised me to stop going to trashy placed like that during arguments last year. He had no idea i could figure out where he was when he went. Hes 2 years away from 50 and im almost 31. I dont feel like i should put up with these games anymore and his excuse? Oh wild pitch didn't used to be like that they used to have male servers years ago, just like 3rd base. Im about to snap! Any suggestions? |

Question: Prostate surgery after care. What to except during days 2-7 after surgery? Posted: 21 Jan 2019 07:59 AM PST My father will be staying at my home after he is released from the hospital because he is traveling hours for the surgery and we live close to the hospital. What can my wife and I do to make him more comfortable? Pillows, ice, things like that. Any help would be welcome as both my wife and I are women and aren't really sure what to expect. |
Question: Why is he getting all huffy about some leftovers? Posted: 21 Jan 2019 07:20 AM PST Sat night my husband had to attend a family reunion meeting with a few of his family members. He's on the committee. They went to a seafood restaurant. He apparently didn't eat all his food so he brought it home in a doggie bag. Last night my oldest son (23) asked him if he was going to eat it and my husband said yes, he was going to take it to lunch. This morning my son noticed that the food was still in the fridge so he asked me if he could have it. I text my husband saying, "Jr, wants to know if you plan to eat the seafood." His reply was, "I already told him last night I was going to eat it!" I told him he didn't have to scream at me. It's just leftovers and if he's not going to eat it to let my son have it. Why is he getting so upset about some leftovers? |

Posted: 21 Jan 2019 07:09 AM PST About a month ago was the 3 year anniversary of my wife's death. It has been a rough road the last few years. But anyway I started dating a few months ago and I met this girl through a mutual friend. It's nice to get out, talk to someone and hang out. But given everything it's hard for me. I don't expect anyone to understand. But I do expect people to respect it. A month ago, at the anniversary, I spend time with my in laws. They lost a daughter, I lost a wife and we still keep in touch. I spent Christmas with them. But she was almost insulted that I didn't want to spend Christmas with her. I can see that she has never lost anyone in life, which is good and fortunate. But she almost thinks that losing your wife is like going through a break up. Sure, technically speaking, it is. You break up, you both move on and you don't see each other again. But in reality it's not quite the same. I also have a necklace with my wedding ring on. I can see that it bothers her. She has other wonderful qualities to her but these things makes me question if I should date her and I also question if I should date her at all. It's been a long time but I can maybe never give my full heart to someone. Maybe I am the one that is being unfair? |
Question: Falling in love with someone when you're married.? Posted: 21 Jan 2019 05:17 AM PST I'm very happy with my husband. We got married about 1 and a half year ago, and a have a one year old baby. We've dated for about 8 years. My husband and I both mostly share our friends. I started getting along really well with one of my close friends. He has a girlfriend which I've actually introduced him to her. I have a very good relationship towards him. I feel like he is also having feeling for me. I really don't want to lose my husband, but don't want to hide my feelings towards my best friend. |
Question: What's with people saying webcam sex is cheating? You are not doing anything phyiscal.? Posted: 20 Jan 2019 07:00 PM PST What do you think of a married man who will sit and talk to a younger, female friend for a while when they're alone, but when they're surrounded by his wife and other people they know, he barely talks to her?
