Question: When a woman refers to a man as “big guy”? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 05:50 PM PST If she refers to a man as big guy to his face in a non flirtatious tone, is it an insult? I was at my little nephew's birthday party the other day. This woman who is not a family member was there with her boyfriend. She saw my nephew come to me first out of everyone in the room. She said "you want to be with the big guy!" People in high school wanted me to play football. |
Question: Why do people get so angry when you just don't want to talk about things? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 04:44 PM PST My friends are always wanting me to talk about my problems. I'll say I'm fine, and they'll say "no you're not", or "we're worried about you" or "this isn't you" or "stop pushing us away". I just don't want to talk about it. It's nothing they need to know about and I'll be fine on my own. I don't need their help. |
Posted: 10 Jan 2019 04:39 PM PST I was at school and this who sat next to me finished her mast test and got a %100 and I said "Nice Job!". She responded by saying "Shut up you peasant." It hurt me because I was just being kind. Especially when I was told by everybody to respect women. Am in the wrong for this? |
Posted: 10 Jan 2019 04:26 PM PST I haven't discarded him and he hasn't discarded me either as he's not approaching the two of his female friends so I don't discard him, however i told him on a Facebook post(he sees everything I post) that I'm kinda moving on and going to travel to express myself and meet a new man. It's because those same female friends have been manipulating him so he doesn't approach me(they know he's into me). Back in high school they would send their friends or show themselves in places where me and him were to hijack our interaction. I don't think he's that ashamed of being seen as gay since he has a cross dresser on his friend list, so he doesn't have excuse to fear being exposed, he already exposed himself. I accidentally said outloud I was going to message him, now I can't because like I said earlier, he has these 2 women on his social circles(including Facebook) that are manipulating him so he doesn't approach me and they're capable of hacking his messenger to intimidate him and me. They're not saying it but their silence language says it all, and I have been explaining this to him yet he's doing nothing despite not approaching them so I don't discard the engagement, but again he's pretending to be ignorant and I got tired. As I said earlier, I'm moving on, I'm about to travel to meet a new man and he knows this, I told him in my posts, I'm giving him a challenge, however, now he's trying to shame me for kinda moving on. Who's being more reasonable here? |
Question: Does my best friend like me? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 04:26 PM PST my best friend gotten closer ever since my birthday when he protected me over this kid who touched me unwantly. he asked me out and then next day changed his decision real fast because he didn't want it to ruin our friendship. then after christmas break at school he's like all over me, hugging me, holding hands, eye contact and seems like we are dating. then his roommate kissed me and we have little thing because my best friend seems like he wants to just be friends. well then my best friend told me 3 nights ago he wants something with no commitment, no string attention, and that we can both hook up with people. both of them told me it's just thing and i'm not cheating or feel guilty about it. bc there's no string attach. now my best friend won't talk to me. after he told me you can hook up with other guys. i'm confused |

Question: Should I give my (ex) friend the money she claims I owe her?.? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 03:49 PM PST So my (ex) friend bought a trailer in August. She asked me to move in with her so I could help her out with her Bill s. I helped pay for her utilities to be set up and everything about ($500), and she paid for things we both were going to split it. Both of us are on a property lease. Both of us paid a security deposit for the property we were renting the trailer on. She ended up kicking me out so her convict brother could move in. I got so upset that within a day I moved out (Dec.27). She had been repeatedly texting me saying I owe her ($200) for a trench digging rental, her groceries, and Bill s that are in her name. Everything except for the lease has only her name on it. Now I m currently trying to save up to buy my own place, but I am being harassed by her. She has no proof that I agreed to pay her ($200), and has even tried to scam me by saying " if you give me $200, I will give you your security deposit". Which is BS becuase our landlord can give me my share of the deposit not her. I don t want to give her money since I helped pay for things that I shouldn t have been paying for becuase I was only a tenant. But I feel bad about not giving her money too. Would I be stupid to give her money even though she kicked me out?. |
Question: No friends to sit with at lunch and class? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 03:30 PM PST So basically, at school I don t really have friends. Yeah, I have maybe 3 girls who say "hi" a few times or smile at me. The problem is that I don t have anyone close or that I trust. I wouldn t say I m weird, just that I m shy and awkward. For the most part I don t mind sitting at a big table alone at lunch. I usually just read. After all, I look busy and occupied, maybe a bit unapproachable too. The girls can be very rude at my school but it s always so indirect. They ll give me dirty looks, stare at me, ignore me, try and annoy me etc. Recently someone even broke my locker so that it can t close. I ve only ever sat in the bathroom during lunch once. It wasn t bad because only a few other girls came in and I was just playing on my phone. & please don t say that I should try and be social or join a club/sport. Trust me, I have tried so hard. I like music, art, reading, you know normal stuff like that. School just isn t enjoyable anymore. Literally the only class I like is art and I only have that for a few more weeks. Our school is huge and nobody has ever attempted to be my friend. I find it quite unbelievable. Anyway, I need to know what I should do during lunch (continue sitting in the bathroom w/ my phone, suck it up and sit alone idek) Oh yeah, I also tried to go to the library during lunch but wasn t allowed to. Please give serious advice and consider the fact that I m antisocial, shy, introverted, get anxious & am sorta disliked by everyone. |
Question: I feel sick thinking about my friend? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 02:38 PM PST A lot of my friends have met my other friend. None of them like him. They have all said that they feel ''very uncomfortable'' around him and all told me that they do not get good vibes from him at all. I have recently found out that he has dark sexual fetishes and enjoys playing mind games on people which I really don't like. I have recently found out too that he has created fake social media accounts also pretending to be a girl online. I also have went through his phone one day to find loads of screenshotted photos of me in an album. I was very disturbed and said nothing. |

Question: What's the point in going back to school for fun? WTF is "personal enrichment"? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 01:50 PM PST My wife who works full-time told me now that the kids are starting school (oldest is going into elementary, and middle child will be in preschool in August), she wants to back to school for "something fun to do away from, away from the kids". What does that even mean? There is absolutely nothing to gain professionally by her going back to school. Technically she's in a dead end job, but has been "studying" (over a year) by correspondence for her management license to become an LCAM. But now she no longer wants to pursue that career. It's not fulfilling, she says. So why spend more money on taking classes that aren't going to get her anywhere professionally? She has her bachelor's. She never went for her master's because she said she didn't feel it was worth the expense. So why go back to school for fun? She should go to exercise class with her friend (well, my friend's wife who invited her to go with her) and work on her pre-kid body to back into shape. That, okay but regular school for "fun"? Before anyone says I'm being a d*** or should help out at home, we BOTH do drop off and pick up, we BOTH take care of the kids, I cook while she does the homework thing, and I do most of the cleaning while she does her side job and laundry on weekends. |
Question: Should I report my BFF s Bf? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 01:46 PM PST My best friend is currently dating someone who was charged for masturbating in public, it was 2 years ago and hes on probation for it. She recently found videos of him recording under females skirts. Should I report it? Shes not going to. But I also dont want to loose her trust or friendship. |
Question: How to get my roommate to move out? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 01:27 PM PST I am living with my best freind in a house that he owns. His girlfriend lives with us and we have three other roommates. There is one roommate that my friend and his girlfriend and I all hate. However he is friends with the other two roommates. We want him gone but my friend said he won't kick him out unless he has good reason ( such as not paying rent etc.) What are some things I can do to get him to move out, preferably things he and the other two roommates won't know I'm doing so they don't get mad at me |
Question: How can I get over socially one sided conversation what am I doing wrong? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 12:53 PM PST Im a very outgoing friendly person, and to be honest, it pisses me off when I try to meet someone new and the conversations almost never work out Which makes me just wanna be bymself because I hate the awkwardness of one sided conversations it just pisses me off. So theres Gotta be 3 things that im doing wrong if this always seems to happen. 1. My Breath Might Stink- This pisses me off though because I really take care of my teeth, how many times do I have to brush my teeth/Tounge so it smells good all day and if this is the issue, ill go to a dentist and hopefully they can fix it. 2. The people might just be shitty people and or just don't want to be bothered. The one sided conversations don't happen all the time it happens with the majority but some people realize that I am nice and they do have conversations with me so maybe my breath don't smell bad all the time 3. Conversations- I always try to talk to about the person first, but then I go back to me if they give me nothing then I try to go back to them to make it even. So either what im saying is just so annoying to people Which is why they aren't giving me the time of day Or there just assholes. Cuz to be honest, I really don't try to make it about me in conversations I always try to ask the person there interests first but If they don't give me anything how am I suppose to work with it? Like I said before Not all the time this happens but most of the times it does and I just wanna know what im doing wrong |
Question: How to tell your friend you don't want to go to church with them without sounding rude? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 12:35 PM PST My friend invites me to youth group a lot, and I actually don't mind it for the most part. It's just the leader guy. He always makes me talk when I don't want to or makes me participate in all of these games. And a while ago, he was talking about blessings and stuff and told everyone that has both biological parents living with them to raise their hands. So I raised mine. And then he went into you should count your blessings because you're so lucky and some people would do anything for that. I got sorta pissed because I would do anything to get out of the home I'm in because it's absolute hell, and it was super rude of him to just assume that because we have both parents at home our lives are fantastic. I don't want to go back, but I also rarely see this friend and I'd feel bad if I didn't go. I don't mean to offend anyone that's parents aren't together. It's just my dad isn't so kind to me, nor is my mother. And they argue so much everyday I wish they could get just get divorced. It hurts more knowing it's going to happen and having to listen to them fight every single day. |
Posted: 10 Jan 2019 12:29 PM PST So yesterday my friend lied on me saying I posted my teachers pictures of her in a group in the messages. Everyone know I didn't and that she posted it because she have an Iphone X and you can see the features of her screenshotting. My mom's mad because they called her and I dont know what to do because I have nothing to do with that. I still have that proof in my phone. Tomorrow, I'm having a parent teacher conference with the security about it. Should I show that proof in my phone that she did it because now they're taking away my privileges in school? What should I say? What should I do. Need help |
Question: Do I expect too much out of a friendship? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 11:12 AM PST I am 20 year old college junior. I don't have a true friend. I have a few acquaintances, but that's it. I always thought I would meet my life long friend in college. But, it hasn't happened yet. My ideal friend would be someone who I can trust, someone who values loyalty, and someone I can do fun things with. When I tell someone my expectations of a true friend , they tell me my expectations are unrealistic for people my age. They say people in their late teens/early 20's are inherently selfish. Is that true? I see people my age having the time of their lives with their friends, and I feel like I'm missing out on everything. I'm starting to feel depressed. |
Question: Friend keeps asking to borrow money which ruined the friendship the first time? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 10:58 AM PST My friend keeps asking to borrow money but when I need the money back he doesn't give it. Last time when i was friends with him he'd ask me for money every time we hung out and I would dumbly say yes and it basically ruined our friendship the first time because of him bumming off me and expecting it. I've been kicking it with him more recently since we became friends again and I tried giving it another shot, but he's doing the same exact ****. My dumbass lent him $5 the last 2 times this week and I don't understand why you would continue doing that when the friendship was ruined the first time. Im debating on just blocking him out of my life. I have good reasons right? Side note: when he asks for money he doesn't ask like 'oh hey sorry to ask can I please use $5' like with respect, he goes 'aye put $5 for my gas yeah?' And doesn't even say thank you. He ******* expects it. |
Question: How do you know when you know someone very well? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 09:31 AM PST I think you can tell when you know them "well", but how would you tell when you know them "very well". |
Question: Ex-friend uses suicide to force friendship? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 09:27 AM PST We used to be friends/coworker until he started becoming toxic. When his dad died, I was there for him, let him vent, etc. But it got mentally draining for me, hearing the same thing everyday and he expected me to be there for him anytime. He crossed my boundaries many times even though I gave him so many chances to change. He also got fired from work, and his relationship with his family is really bad. I tried reasoning and he just didn't listen. When I blocked him, he started harassing me and even threatened me. He even used suicide and told me that even if I change my number, he knows a way to get my new one. He called me selfish for abandoning him at his worst time when I told him I'm trying to take care of myself. I advised him to seek professional help which he told me is useless and only being friends with me would help. I recently told him I'm giving him a few months break to let him change for the better. I told him during this time he can't contact me, which he agreed. But now he still texts me whenever and expects me to respond. I told him if he does this again, I'm really done with him. He he does it again, and I told him off. I told him the break is over, there's no more chances for him. He begs for one final fair chance. When I said no, he calls me selfish and that I never truly valued the friendship. He used suicide again to force me. He is basically not giving me a choice. I'm so stressed and I don't want to be blamed if anything happens. I really need advise. |

I have been home for the break and my roommate left around same time did. Everything else is a flat rate besides electricity and gas. How should it be split and discussed? |

Question: Tired of high school socially? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 12:19 AM PST I had moved school couple time. And I always get that "popular status" because of my looks and ability to get girls. I had recently moved to this school a year ago, Once again, Starting of the year a lot of people talk about me and its annoying. By the days goes by I became more introvert and I don't talk in class. Now its became difficult to make friends because im so quite in class. some of kid noticed that I am became awkward and not fitting in.in history class we always do group work and I don't have any friends. Teachers always put me in random group and its so awkward. Today I heard a group of kid I history class talking about me that I was popular and they noticed the changed. WHY people have to judge another person by their looks . I just want to be alone by myself. Its getting more awkward every single daay |
Posted: 09 Jan 2019 11:44 PM PST We used to text for hours at a time with massive e-mail-like text where she was engaged but for the last few days, I'd be lucky to get two (disinterested) single sentence text from her. But we still meet up every morning before school to hang out and nothing has changed in that area. I'm so confused. Should I be concerned or say/do anything about it? myfavouritelucy: She initiated in the beginning, she's never been so absent, and-oh yeah- we're FRIEND'S. There's nothing bizarre about texting a friend. Today was literally the first day in months that she ever only sent me two text. |

Question: Anyone else like being a loner? Keeping to themselves and having 1 or 2 friends.? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 10:24 PM PST I'm in my 30's and I've been on my own now for 2 years. I've made friends when I was younger in my 20's. I had fake friends and decent friends. I still get out and try to be social. I go out to bars every other weekend on my own. I can start a conversation with anyone on my own. I go to the gym and work out or play basketball. When I had friends most of them were drinking buddies. Now that i'm 38 i've cut back on it. I think going to someone's place is boring to get drunk. I go out to bars to see bands or a game on tv. I also try to meet women on my own. I do it in the daytime to. I go downtown area when I go out to lunch, gym, bars, online. I feel that if I start dating then that will be easier for me to meet people. |
Question: Do you think he'll still have sex with me? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 09:32 PM PST This is a reply that this guy sent to me. After I sent him a picture of a woman giving a guy head. I told him that I wanted to do that to him. But that I had met a guy who I wanted to date but that I want him more. I know he lied about taking a girl to the Opera. He just said that because he had asked me a while ago to go with him. But I didn't go because I was busy with school. . Below is what he replied with. I want you to do that to me. And god, the things I want to do to you... I went to the opera last week. I promised someone a long time ago that I'd take them but I wish I would've asked you instead. I understand it's been months but I really only have had a bit of breathing room for about a month. With that time I've been trying to reconnect with my boys that I haven't seen in over a year and my sister who needs way more attention than I give her. Thank you for the card and coffee. You're so thoughtful and I wanted to be your first, so you could see how a real man could make you feel. I can promise you a night in December where you will be mine... if you're still down. |
Posted: 09 Jan 2019 08:43 PM PST Needless to say, I am all in my own here in terms of clubs. My friends and I have no similar interests in clubs, though same majors. I am very socially awkward, but I am dedicated to making new friends this year. However, I feel very bad that I might be too intimated by other people's group of friends that I might not fit with any of their groups. |
Question: How can I stop feeling disappointed in myself? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 08:40 PM PST I made a resolution for this new year that I will get out of my bubble and explore new things. As a current freshman in college, I planned to join some clubs this quarter, however, I made an attempt to attend one of their meetings, but I got too intimidated by the amount of people that were talking to their own group of friends that I backed off the club, going home, feeling very disappointed I had turned around. It doesn't help either knowing that neither of my friends are willing to join the club with me. I am very bad at making new friends, and the larger their friend group is, the more I feel I am going to be excluded in their conversations and events. Now I am just very disappointed in myself for not fulling my word and have the courage to attend the meeting, even if it meant to be awkward. |

Posted: 09 Jan 2019 06:22 PM PST Ex boyfriend blocked me Sunday and he NEVER blocked me bfore and what's strange is yesterday before he blocked me I was on a singles site where I also met him a while back and a guy messaged me but it awfully seemed like my ex with same age and height. He asked to ask then sent his phone to text I said I couldn't already move on to texting, 30 minutes after I wrote that 9:30 am my ex blocked me on viber at 10 am and I know because his online status was no longer visible. When I tried calling the number the guy gave with s blocked number it was one of those made up free numbers from an app. Does it sound like it was him? My ex would also use apps like textfree to get a number form and text me. Why did he block me? Apparently I hurt him and I tried going back and he complained how I hurt him so he expected me to keep trying? I asked earlier December to meet and he couldn't because he had to take his dad the alterations... Does this mean despite this he still had feelings and hopes to get back together? What would make him block me? |
Question: Does she even miss me???? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 06:11 PM PST I need some advice on a problem, I'm a 24 year old guy and I began getting along with this woman from work since April of last year. Her name is Mariana, We would always talk, we always had something new to talk about and I could tell I would always make her laugh. Deep down i began liking Mariana but i never said anything because she was married and I respected her. But apparently a lot of other staff thought it was inappropriate for her to be close friends with a guy when shes married. So staff began complaining and her manager got pissed off with her because she spends more time talking to me other than working. Mariana is now under investigation because Alot of staff have been throwing her under the bus. Her manager doesn't want us to talk anymore, but one of my friends keeps telling me that Mariana looks miserable and that she can tell that she misses talking to me. I would still see Mariana in the hall and she would at least say hi to me. But I ran into her on Sunday a few times but she said absolutely nothing, She wouldn't even look at me in the face. Maybe my friend is wrong and Mariana doesn't want to talk to me anymore, because every time she saw me she smiled and now we are strangers My friend told Mariana last week, that I feel as if she doesn't want to talk to me anymore. But apparantly Mariana said " that's not the case, she is just being controlled by coworkers and supervisors so she wants to wait for things to calm down." |
Question: Could this woman like me? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 06:07 PM PST So a few days ago, we all celebrated my nephew's first birthday. He got a crate of plastic building blocks for a gift. So I was playing with the blocks trying to build something for him. So this woman who is engaged to my brother in law's dad saw me playing with them. She said "you're doing a good job with those uncle." I said "i don't know what it's supposed to be but the pieces fit" she didn't say anything. I love playing with my nephew. She probably saw me playing with him most of the day. One of my brother in law's brothers was playing with the blocks too and she didn't say anything to Him. I caught her looking my way from across the room. There was nobody sitting behind me and there was nothing interesting on the wall behind me |
