We discovered that we both liked wine, so he offered to buy a bottle of wine and we could chill. I said sure. I wanted to chill at the park so I suggested 3 parks within walking distance and he said no to all 3 and invited me to his house, it was a little out of my comfort zone but I said yes. When we get there he starts offering me food, to dry my clothes (cuz it rained) and all this other stuff like I was his wife. Weird but cute. Then once we got comfortable I started feeling this aggressive energy as he asked me for some affection: it was out of my comfort zone so I explained to him that I usually don't kiss and stuff on first dates but he wouldn't let it go, so I politely left but kept in touch. For about 1 1/2 months we kept trying to schedule meet ups but we would run into 1 or 2 problems: our schedules didn't match or he would never accept meeting me in public cause I said I wasn't coming over his house again until we established some common ground on dating. So after this went on to long I politely told him I couldn't see him anymore and he BLEW UP on me: saying I used him and I'm a gold digger and karma would get me.... Something in my blood told me that accepting things from him was basically running up an emotional tab which is why I stopped going over, but still felt like I wanted to give him a chance. Idk intuition is weird And the bottle of wine was $15. |

But i am not happy with how the relationship is going but I still like him. He never takes me on dates or buy flowers. He never wants to spend holidays with me and seems very uncomfortable with the idea of me moving in, and so many other things that make me question the future of this relationship. I even think he is ashamed of me because he stays away from me in public and really hates when our mutual friends gossip about us together. I think because of our 9 year age difference, I am 25. I have become very insecure and i do not know if i am making a big deal about this. I've never been in a relationship before this, so i don't know much other than what I see on TV. Do I have unrealistic expectations or is my relationship in trouble? |

Also, he looked disappointed when he suggested we Skype so that I don't have to drive to campus to discuss my paper and I said sure. Why would he avoid me though when we are with others? We have a pretty nice place near campus, and we got parked through our uni housing. I think she's really considerate, and I think I am as well. We both clean after ourselves, give each other a hand when we can, and generally respect each other. But some things are just asking too much, she always asking me to not make ANY noise whatsoever. It's friday night and I'm taking a shower, I put some music on my phone (this is how I relax after a long week) and she's banging on my door asking me to turn it down. Like it's friday. 8pm. And it's not even loud. Am I the one being unreasonable or her? She can play music if she wants on a Friday I really don't mind. And she's always home! She studies like 8 hours a day and if constantly asking me to turn things down. Even my headphones were too loud for her while she was studying. She's really anal and I don't know whether I'm being unreasonable or her? She can go to the library if she is distracted to much. I wanna tell her but I don't want her to be on bad terms with me. She even told me I could never have people over the night even though housing rules allowed us to have guests 7 nights a month. She's always home. She always wants it super quiete. He looked at me too, looked away and then back again and raised his eyebrows. I immediately raised my eyebrows too lol and I said hi in a soft voice but he didn't say anything. He first started talking to me by saying one day how I looked nice and was all dressed up. Then after that we kind of started acknowledging each other a little more. Mostly he talked to me though. He would kind of tesse me about little things including when I got into college he called me miss... and the name of the college kind of like miss America or something like that lol. he seems to give me a lot of attention but sometimes he seems a little nervous when I talk to him first even though he always talks to me after that and seems fine. He has an ex who he still talks to which worries me because I am kind of interested in him. The other day he said bye to me which was unusual because he never does and he seems to be showing up around where I am a lot. But it's been two days and he hasn't talked to me , like he will still look at me and show up but I don't understand. But today I kind of was hurt because our teacher talked about interracial dating and how it wasn't allowed in certain places and I heard him say "im good" he has dated Asians so he could be joking and I swore he liked me at least a little bit but Am I just imagining this whole thing? So we tried to stay friends. He says good morning every day which is sweet. and listens to me. We make each other laugh. but we dont talk on the phone anymore. He over looks it when I ask to hang. He then proceeded to tell me how hes always gonna want me, he thinks about me a lot, no one has ever come close to me, and that im basically perfect in his eyes. He then insisted on seeing me in person and we talked for 2 hours and he just kept telling me everything he liked about me. He also kissed me a lot and told me he couldn't resist kissing me. | Posted: 18 Jan 2019 07:36 PM PST There's a guy at my work that I'm starting to like and I can't tell if the little things are signs that he may also be interested or if I'm reading too far into them because I like him. He's the awkward type like me and doesn't really talk too much to people until he's warmed up to them. I've started talking to him more and we're getting a little closer. He's stuck in customer service so I'll occasionally come up to him to bring broken stuff I find but I'll try to make a goofy little convo out of it, and our sarcasm is pretty matched so he goes along with it. Like one time I brought him some socks without their pairs and told him he looked lonely so I thought I'd bring him some friends and told him their names and not to forget them. A little later on I brought him some more and as we were walking away he turned back and asked me to name those ones too. I have also caught him look at me when he thinks I'm not looking a few times. Another thing I think might be a sign is that we often close together and he'll make sure he says have a good night to me. As in he has stayed behind before just to say it. Or another time on my way to the break room I accidentally talked over him and didn't acknowledge that he said it (don't forget I'm also awkward and sometimes don't know how to react) and when I was on my way out he said it again instead of just dropping it. I know a lot of these signs could be him just being friendly so I thought I'd try to get an outsiders opinion. |
