Posted: 03 Mar 2016 03:12 PM PST periodontist say that? And it wasn't a joke. My hygienist was serious about it. She even asked me: you don't wanna come back, do you? |
Question: Shy and uninterested but eager to please? What is this personality about? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 02:51 PM PST This coworker has this mixed personality that I don't understand. Overall he comes off as a little shy, uninterested at meetings and even a bit grumpy. At the same time he's brought work home to finish over the weekend for me (despite me saying there was no hurry at all), he's started sending cheerful emails and I found out he went to my boss and said he didn't how to manage once my temporary position ends. At the same time he wouldn't tell anything of this directly to me really, instead he seems to literally back up when we talk. What is this personality about? |

Question: Why do a lot of straight guys pretend to be gay for attention? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 02:41 PM PST At my high school a lot of boys stare at me and go out of there way to call me a f@gg but will never say it to me, They some times pretend they like me and will get upset if they think i'm dating someone why is this?? They also lie to there girlfriends and tell them that i want them. |
Posted: 03 Mar 2016 02:32 PM PST My mom's abusing us constantly and making fun of me 24/7 cause I was born with several birth defects. And I have a serious food Intolerance. And I'm done. Just done... I don't want to be here anymore. How do I leave? My BFF said I can stay with her and I'm going to accept it. How do I sit her down and talk to her about me leaving? I'm 14 years old. |
Question: Am I obligated to participate in my boyfriends brother's wedding festivities? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 02:19 PM PST My boyfriend of 6 years younger brother and his even younger girlfriend of 3 years are going to be getting married in a few months. I was invited to the bridal shower but I don't want to go. Nor do I want to go to the wedding. First of all it will be like I'm back in high school when I had a class with no friends in it or on field trips when I would be separated from my friends. Because the only people who I know will be busy with the actual wedding stuff as my boyfriend is the best man. Ill be miserable sitting by myself in the corner. Secondly, I don't really like the bride. She is obnoxious. In the past 3 years I have probably only said about 1,000 words to her tops. I honestly have no affection for my boyfriends brother or the bride. They are really nothing to me. If roles were reversed I wouldn't be up set. I would have no reason to be shes not family. So basically how do I get out of it with stirring up as little drama as possible. As for the bridal shower? I am taking the gre the next day and I should spend the day before studying right? |

Question: My son was spying me, what do I do? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 01:58 PM PST We have a walking closet in between the bathroom and bedroom, it has his/hers closets with slat doors. This morning I undressed, showered, came out and was about to put on my underwear, when I heard a noise in the his closet. I opened the door and my 13 year old son was in there, no clothes on, and obviously pleasuring himself!! I screamed at him and chased him out of the bedroom into his and told him he was in big trouble. He left for school and has not come back yet. How should I handle this from here? Should I tell his father? |

Question: Is my ex boyfriend a sociopath? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 01:39 PM PST Me and my ex were 4 months together. He was the one who was mentioning marriage and kids and how much he loves me, and I was taking it slow and careful. Were both 27.In the last weeks we had a lot of issues, and decided to meet up and talk.He picked me up,and I got a little emotional because it was the first time i saw him in the whole week after all the fights and breakup talks we had daily in that past week and started crying a bit.He pulled the car on the side, and I thought that he would try to console me,that he wanted to talk to me and make me feel better. But instead he was just staring at me like I was alien and like i should be ashamed that I'm crying and i felt so embarrassed, because i could see it in his eyes that he was disgusted by me crying.(He was also crying some weeks before being scared of losing me and I hugged him,and told him everything will be fine) I told him I'm fine and to continue driving. But he didnt want to drive anymore, but instead told me: I dont think its in your interest that we go.And then calmly, coldly repeated the same.I asked if he wants me to leave, and he didnt reply. So I stood up from the car and left all hurt.He didnt call me after.Nothing. He then told me via text message later that I looked like total **** that night(!) and that i couldn't take care of my looks (not true)and that i cried like a baby and that he is done with me.I was so hurt like never before. And he blocked my phone number and messaging. Its been a week. Is he crazy? |
Question: Reasons you'd HAVE to go to your aunts babyshower? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 01:05 PM PST I have a strict boss, and he hardly lets me miss work unless it's very important. I consider her shower very important to me, but I don't know what I would say to let him know it truly is important and why I have to go. What could I tell him? (Also she's not my blood related aunt, in case that makes any difference?) |
Question: How do beautiful things happen in your life when you distance yourself from the negative? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 12:46 PM PST |
Posted: 03 Mar 2016 12:35 PM PST I am in 8th grade I was planning on staying at school today to finish up some work but my teacher was busy. So I took the bus and went home. At the bus stop my mom went with my brother chase to pick up my brother Garrett. So as I got off my seat this kid Spencer says "hey Taylor your brothers Gay on that tractor" so I slapped him upside the head and his head hit the window and hard. I think he started crying too. I didn't see because I just left. It was like forced anger. I couldn't help it. He called my 4 year old brother GAY I just don't know what to do. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get detention tomorrow in school. |

Question: My dads new wife aka my new step mom. Thoughts? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 09:16 AM PST Basically what happened was she was an intern at his work, he's a manager, they started hooking up assuming she would benefit career wise from it. She got pregnant, had the baby, finished college and now her and my dad got married. My dad was planning on retiring in 4 years at age 60 due to his health issues with kidney stones and arthritis, but now he says his going to 65 because she wants a couple of more kids. |
Question: If spending time with him makes me happy is it a waste of money? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 09:02 AM PST I'm 29 and I had sex with a 42 year old almost year ago. He and I live in different states. I wanted to see him again while I was in his state last week. He wanted to but I got really pissed off at him so we didn't meet me but I'm still thinking about him but I did see him at the park. I want to experience that feeling again I don't know what to do. I still want to see him again maybe sometime this summer. Is it a waste of money going to see him? |
Question: Why does the neighbor's son always seem to be outside? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 08:37 AM PST Our neighbors have a 20 year old son, and it seems he's always either outside, or comes outside whenever we do. Our kids are playing catch in our back yard, he's in their yard playing catch with his dad. Our kids are playing out front, he's in their driveway working on his truck. I'm walking to the mailbox, he's walking around the block with his mom. Just this morning, as I was pulling out of our driveway to take the kids to school, he walked out front to take recycling to their trash cans. Am I being paranoid, or is he going out of his way to be outside whenever we are? |
Posted: 03 Mar 2016 05:38 AM PST She only gets belly aches whenever he is around and she has a change in her whole attitude and she becomes extremely quiet. She does have a history of childhood abuse. He only ignores her and doesn't really treat her as nicely as he treats the other children. Should i be concerned? Is her sudden sickness caused by abuse? |

Question: You have been through so much John? Posted: 03 Mar 2016 02:02 AM PST With you parents, with diabetes, with me, whatever my intentions were, and however noble I've put you through so much... Then you became a dad at 21, with a n immature, bitter, vindictive stranger, having no financial security... Nothing about how you became a dad you have to like...Nothing...You only have to be mature enough to understand that baby John is here he is a perosn and none of it is his fault... I promise you that him and his matter, no matter how she decodes to handle herself will only provoke mature, loving and protective urges in me... I want to be there for you and help you have a betetr, happier life and fatherhood. I'm not going to let her push ym buttons... I'm not jsut a victim of lunatic brutality and psychopathy I do have my better and more stable sides... A child will bring that out in me... I think he will bring us closer together rather than further part... I also think that it sucks you had to became a dad at 21 and that what she has done was insanely irresponsible, and you don't have to like it.. You can sway talk to me about any of your feelings they will never leave the room we are talking in, and I will never blame you.... You have done nothing wrong... I am not focusing at all on the fact that you had sex with someone esle.. To me she is only a mum of my son...I look at this as having a husband and a son I never met...I am yet to meet. Doesn't matter how I got my son and do i like the very process of it... He is your child that makes him my child. I love you John. Part of the reason why I wanted to leave you was I felt I was ruining your life with my PTSD and all the misunderstandings we've had...You fought for me and saved me and now I am here waiting for you to come take me home and I am listening tell em what you need me and want me to do... I'm not just the programmers victim or a victim of a deranged, evil former mate and 10 rapists idiots... I am still me and the guys said I am suppsoe to be pretty amazing...So I will try my best OK?. |

Question: Desperately fed up with social anxiety?!? Posted: 02 Mar 2016 10:41 PM PST I'm about to be 25 years old and all i do is go to work and stay in bed. I struggle with making friends. I'm not that comfortable with my coworkers, but have known them for a year. I participate in conversations sometimes but one on one I tend to freeze up. When I'm by myself I think of what I should've said. I struggle past the small talk. I can't make new friends. People seem awkward around me sometimes because I'm quiet. All of my current friends have moved away or have their own lives. Tried many meds, am in therapy but I've seen so many I dont think anyone can help me. I'm so tired of my boring life but I am too afraid to do what I would like to do. I realize i think negatively, which makes me self conscious and sets me up for failure. Help with being able to start a conversation and connect with people and deal with negative thinking. I'm boring when I try to keep a conversation going. Please nothing too obvious or unhelpful. at this point i dont know which direction to take in my life. i struggle to talk with family, friends, coworkers, find romantic relationships, find new jobs, do anything in life. whats the point. |
Question: Why does my "gay" guy friend act sexual with me? I'm a girl? Posted: 02 Mar 2016 10:41 PM PST Okay me and this guy are really good friends to the point that we will touch eachother's butts and he will playfully grind on me i guess you could say. We basically have like no touch barriers at all like we touch each other all the time like its nothing and he will say that "my boobs look nice today" or something like that. I'm just really confused because he says he's gay and talks about guys alot but at the same time he's basically almost making out with me etc. I'm straight so i obviously like it but idk about him do you think he is just doing it to playfully flirt cause he's gay and its fun or is it something else? |
Posted: 02 Mar 2016 10:28 PM PST How so you deal with the anger and upset over something that happened long ago and you can't change, you're just screwed? And the people involved are still in your family and don't care that you are upset? |
Posted: 02 Mar 2016 10:25 PM PST When I was 12, 4 years ago, my dad and i were wrestling, then his hand went up my shirt, and grabbed my boobs. then i left the room and went to take a shower. When i got out, he was in my bed and i tried to turn the light on and he told me not to, because it hurt his eyes. then he told me to go to him, so i did. then he out me on top of him and had me lay on his stomach, he kept stroking my hair, then he kissed me. on the lips but it was more of a passionate kiss. then he rubbed my back and kept moving me around on him. that was it then, but thought the years he would accidentally touch my boobs over my shirt. I don't know if this really counts, so please help... i need to know because, i don't want to talk about it to anyone if it wasn't... |
Question: Why dont his family & friends like me? Posted: 02 Mar 2016 09:58 PM PST So Ive been with my boyfriend for 5 years now and it seems like his family is still talking about me and judging my every move. I have been nothing but good to my boyfriend. We live together and we have been through a lot together. His family banned him from their house and they have done so many bad things to him and hes always had me to help him out. I dont know why we can t get along, especially with his brother. His friends also talk about me behind my back and at this point I feel like confronting them, but I know that they are sensitive and it will start more problems. What can i do about this? This is mentally exhausting! |
Posted: 02 Mar 2016 09:05 PM PST My fiance and I have been together for 9 years and have a wonderful 7 year old boy together. Recently he got moved to third shift at his job and he s made a few friends. He started adding them all to Facebook and this one girl in particular caught my attention because she was very pretty and the only female from his job he friended at this point. I voiced my opinion of it and told him I was uncomfortable with it, he assured me it was nothing more than a work friend. Well, here we are a few months later and I found out he posted on her Facebook wall and was hiding it from me, has conversations with other men at his job about how attractive she is, and he then gave into peer pressure of this one guy he works with that knows he has a family at home to message her on Facebook while at work just to get a rise out of her for a laugh. He has since acknowledged to me that he does find her hot and he refuses to stop hanging around the guy who peer pressured him, I asked for a shift change or look to for another job, he has refused. Am I overreacting and being to emotional to the situation? I know being attracted to another person is normal I just feel like he crossed the line when he messaged her and hid it from me. |
Question: Should I take driving lessons from a stranger? Posted: 02 Mar 2016 08:33 PM PST So I failed my driving test (I had to pay for lessons, for the uber to and from the driving place, the tax collectors fee, the car rental, and etc). It's costing me so much money to learn how to drive. When I took an uber back from the driving lesson, I was really upset b/c I can't really get better. I don't have anyone to help me (without paying so much). The uber driver offered to give me free lessons b/c I was so upset. Would that be a good idea? My friend says no, but I really want to learn So I actually did take one lesson from the person and then they started asking inappropriate questions like do I have a boyfriend, and am I virgin and things like that. that's not normal is it? |

Question: I don't want my kids to have a hyphenated last name.? Posted: 02 Mar 2016 06:40 PM PST My boyfriend is from Guam and has the last name Leon-Guerrero, which is a common surname in that area. It actually started out as compounded (Leon Guerrero) but when his family moved to America, a hyphen was added. It is his biological fathers last name. We aren't married and I am not expecting, but we are talking about all of those things. He has a lot of pride in his heritage and wants his children to have both last names, but he also strugges with the last name. He frequently goes by just Guerrero to make things easier. I'd really like our children to just use Guerrero, but I worry that he will be upset by this. What are your thoughts? |
Question: Why do people care who comes to funerals? Posted: 02 Mar 2016 05:54 PM PST I've never understood this. The person you care about is dead. They don't care if you're there or not - they CAN'T care (because they're dead). The only conceivable reason to attend a funeral is console one of the other people there, but it would only make sense to do that if you cared about that person. If you had a very close relationship with the deceased, but you didn't know (or didn't care about) anyone else in his or her life, then why would go to the funeral? "To pay your respects" doesn't mean anything - you're just begging the question. *to console *...would you go... [I type fast and don't edit] LilyRT: For what purpose are you doing that? To be seen doing it, so that someone will notice and do it for you (remember that when you're dead, you won't care, either)? |
Question: How can I get a boyfriend? Posted: 02 Mar 2016 05:34 PM PST I'm shy and kind of chubby.. No guy has ever liked me, and I've never ever been in a relationship, and it makes me soo sad. I really want someone to just show a little interest in me. Even if someone "fake" liked me it would be ok, because I feel like I'm never gonna find someone who will genuinely like me. I just want to feel normal, like somebody loves me, even if they don't. More like I know. Because It just won't happen. People say " oh, the perfect one will show up at the right time." for me there isn't a right time. He'll never come. Why wait? I don't really know what else I could possibly do, because I've done everything to make myself the best version of me. I'm trying to lose weight (even though it hasn't been working well lately), and I already lost 30 pounds. I've joined sports, and I've became really popular this year. I'm friend with some of the most popular girls in my school, even though I don't hang out with that clique of people. My friends and family say I'm pretty, but I think I'm the ugliest girl on earth. I have horrible acne, eyebrows, and my face is off completely. And my side profile is the absolute worse. Quiet, and ugly are the two worst to have a combination of. I just don't get it. All of my friends have boyfriend after boyfriend, and I haven't even had my first kiss yet. I kid you not all of my friends have boyfriends, and it's super depressing. All I see everyday is couples everywhere. I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong I don't want to wait till college either because No one will like me there either, and I would feel bad my entire life that I never got to experience the high school relationship experience. Not only that guys will think I'm weird for not ever being kissed, or having a boyfriend. They'll think it's cause I have mental issues, or problems that I need sorted out. |

Question: What is the right thing to do in this situation? Please help me decide? Posted: 02 Mar 2016 09:30 AM PST I got a call from my ex wife who I am still on friendly terms with that she had a problem and she needed my help. I was surprised to get her call as I had not talked to her in over a year. She said her current husband was going to be laid off from his job if he did not learn to use a computer system where he worked and that would be a financial disaster for them. They could not make the mortgage payments if he lost his job. They had priced computer training in their area and is was very expensive and they did not have the money for it. She knew I was knowledgeable about computers and she wanted me to train him on credit. I told her I would do it for free. I cautioned her she MUST check this out with her husband. She called back a week later and told me her husband would not take the training from me even if it was free because it would make him feel like less of a man. I told her to call me back if he changed his mind sometime in the future. Shortly thereafter she called me back and told me that since her husband had not met me he would not know what I looked like. She wants me to pretend to be someone else and train her husband and not tell him I am her ex husband. I am really torn on what I should do. I do not want to see her suffer from a layoff but I don't want to deceive her husband EVEN IF IT IS FOR HIS OWN GOOD. ADVICE PLEASE on what is the right thing to do. |
Question: Locked eyes with my male coworker? Posted: 01 Mar 2016 07:27 PM PST He knocked on my cube when I was working in front of the computer, I turned to him and looked at him waiting for him to ask me a question or something work related. He just suddenly became quiet and looked at me for like a few seconds. I was waiting for him to say something, so I looked at him too. It seemed so long, eventually he seemed came back to reality and looked down quickly and told me something non work related. We had an usual conversation afterwards. The locked eyes felt very weird though, his expression was like he saw something he s never seen before, but we are working and talking on a regular basis. Any ideas what was happening? I'm definitely not reading too much into this. Since then, when we talk he looks at me and then looks down but still listens. When I see him walking pass, he looks at me and then looks down. It is so obvious. One time I saw him looking at me, he immediately looks down. |
