Hey. I'm a very high functioning guy with autism which means that my grades are fantastic, but my social skills are extremely poor. I'm now fourteen years old and obviously I hate my dad. As I already asked my question, what should I do with my dad? I hate him, because he has temper issues. It was much peaceful when my dad wasn't at home. When my dad fights with my mom, I would always get a headache. Also, my mom says that I need to help her out with the drama between my mom and my dad, but I just can't. I can't help her, because I'm scared that my dad will bring me down quickly. I have two dogs. My dog's names is Charon and Chilly. Charon is always peaceful and Chilly always wants to play. Charon was always peaceful when my dad and Chilly wasn't home. When my dad and Chilly was home, Charon would always follow Chilly anywhere at anytime because they're a brother and a sister. It's stressful that my dad would always start a fight with my mom of my dad accusing Charon even though that my dog has done nothing wrong. My dad even wants to get rid of Charon. :( Even the neighbors near our house knows that Charon is always peaceful and Chilly is always active. I truly need help. I'm really glad that I shared my story so someone would give me an advice to get my dad's behavior addressed.

I was 13 and a bit fat with blonde hair and green eyes.. AT first she seemed nice but then I notice something odd. She seemed a bit too clingy and obsessed with me. One time I said I was going to write a book and I was walking away her older bro (age 13) said "Look Look" (indicating my hip fat). I one time ate a piece of chocolate in the morning and the girl said it to her parents and her older bro that I ate a piece of chocolate. (I had PMS, period was near). She and her bro talk about us behind my back, and I have no hard feeling becuz they are just unhappy with themselves and their lives. Their parents are stingy, and their mom has a disease that makes her stay at the hospital for a month at a time and their dad is always working. Their parents dont get along well. Then she started to imitate my hairstyle and my beliefs, & then she started to call me fat & that my hair was dirty blonde. She was aggressive. I understand that she may have self esteem issues, becuz kids her age should normally be having fun or watching TV, but instead she is being aggressive with me. Happy children do not call a fat person fat over 30 times. Is there abuse at home? Child neglect?

I'm a 16 year old guy who really has no clue what to do. My mother has always been overbearing and overprotective, buts it's become worse by the day now. I have a girlfriend of a year and 3 months who doesn't feel comfortable even coming over to my house because my mom won't wven let me close my door. I ask her why she acts like that and her response is "It's inappropriate behavior for two 16 year olds." But when I veey blatantly ask her "Is it because you think we're going to have sex?" She says no. How do I go about this? I feel so embarrassed because I can't even get out of my house without crossing through what feels like 15 nazi checkpoints. I realize she only wants me safe but she's also using every bit of leverage she has to keep a death grip of control over me. She refuses to let me go to my girlfriends house because she doesn't have the nicest family, but she won't make any effort to make her feel welcome or make it enjoyable. She says that if I don't like it, that I can go live with my dad (whom divorced her 10 years ago) To this day, if we argue or fight she still threatens to smack me in the mouth for talking back. I'm not afraid of her but it's extremely frustrating because she treats me like I'm 6. She truly tries to control everything I do in life, and to top it off, she has a 18 month old baby to worry about too. What do I do? Thanks...

My boyfriend and I are both 17 and seniors in high school, and we have been together for 2 1/2 years. we have been having sex since we were together for about 8 months, and both our parents know. I'm on birth control and we use a condom every time. but, anyways, he has this big championship basketball game next Saturday and a bunch of his family members are coming. then we are having a party at his house, and then his parents have to drive his aunts and uncles over 2 1/2 hours to the airport so they canto home. the plan is for us to stay at his house by ourselves that night, since his parents probably won't be home until 2am ish. we have stayed over together before both at my house and his house, but now his parents are starting to put up a fight about it, saying that they don't really like the idea. how do we convince them that it's fine?

OK so we had an argument which she started. Cuz my dad toad me to clean my pig sty room. And I didn't. And my mom b-tched about it and said do what my father says (she has no mind of her own) So I replied that she should do what her husband says (he toad her to iron his clothes, seriously). So she got all mad and was like "what's that supposed to mean". So I toad her. Shes a slave. She cooks and cleans for him and craps out horrible kids for him. And what does she get in return? Nothing. She got cheated on. It seems shes on the bad side of this deal. And she got so defensive, saying she enjoys taking care of the family and my dad and I know nothing about their relationship (lol I wouldn't want to know). yeah I bet the enjoys scrubbing pans and toilets. I said that to her and she toad me to get out of her house. Ovizly I didn't. I went to my bedroom and she yelled that she's gonna tell my dad. What a baby. My dad wood be more mad that she tried to kick me out of the house. So I win. Why is she so in denial

My sister is 17 and im 14. She's gained weight because of medication while ive lost about 10 pounds. My jeans and shirts are literally falling off of me and I've been telling my mom that I need new jeans and I've even offered to pay but always makes excuses about how my clothes fit and I don't need any. My sister clothes overflowing from her room, literally. My mom lies to me and buys my sister new clothes and says that it's for you but I see the shopping bags on my sisters floor. My mom doesn't let me talk about anything revolving weight around her no bikini talk, no prom dress talk, not even about my jean size.

Hey guys. I have always wondered if I was. In my family it's my mom, dad, my brother and I. My dad makes about 50,000 a year and my mom 20,000. I know with just this salary alone this makes my family middle class. But my dad inherited about 2.2 million from my grandparents and bought 5 rental properties with it and has tenants. I'm not sure if this makes my family rich or still middle class? And does it make our family well off?Thanks for the help!!

So my boyfriend is like 5'8 and skinny. We're 15 if u wanna know Whenever we go out he says how starving he is and how he needs to eat. we get food and he eats it so fast, like he's not eaten for weeks. He eats a lot too. Like at my house, my parents ordered food. He ate pizza, chicken wings, fries, these chees ball things, garlic mushrooms and then had icecream and cake. I was starting my second slice of pizza and he'd already eaten all his fries, a pizza slice and several wings. That's how fast he eats. Do u think his dad starves him at home? If he ate like that all the time he wouldn't be so skinny. He told me CPS came to his house once because his dad was leaving him there alone while he went to work when he was 10.

I'm going to be 18 in a couple months. I need help on how to break this habit. When I was 11 I slept in my room up until age 14. The reason is because when I was 14 someone broke into our house and I was in my room alone. It traumatized me. I know being in my moms room at the time wouldn't have made a difference, in fact it would've been worse since they went straight into her room. But I'm going to be going to college in a couple months also and I really don't want to be sleeping in my moms room. She treats me like a child so I understand why she doesn't mind. Sometimes she says "Why don't you sleep in your own room" so I want to know what I can do to get over this fear? I also don't like being alone. Maybe I can get a night light. Help?!

My dad an I do not have the best relationship it s more like friends rather than father and son. He wasn t there when I was little he traveled abroad which made me and my siblings subjects of terable abuse for 7 long years at the hands of my biological mother. So as you can imagine my sister and I do not have a lot of respect for him as a person or a father he s lied to much and dumped me on other people countless of times. He also abandoned my older sister before me and any of my other siblings were born. Most of the time he s hard to be around he s a Acohalic and smokes a **** load of weed he s high or drunk pretty much all the time. So yesterday I missed a therapist appointment and he s really pissed because he still has to pay for it. I just feel he doesn t get to pick and choose when he s my dad I m 18 no and I m not looking for a father figure anymore I m trying to become my own person and finely take control of my life.

Question: My mom asked if I liked my dad more (they're divorced) I didn't have the heart to say say yes so I avoided it and I feel bad..?

Hi I'm a 16-year old male, and my little brother is a 13-year old spoiled brat. Now, before I go any further, I want you all to know I payed the full $350, and I payed for all the games and controllers. Anyway, My brother and I were playing Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and he was raging really bad. We got into a lobby where we were getting spawned killed by guys who were quick scoping. He was screaming really hard, and I asked him to stop politely, but he wouldn't listen. Eventually, our dad came into the living room to yell at us to stop complaining. My little brother wouldn't stop screaming, and threw my controller outside, then stomped on the Xbox One as hard as he could until I ran to stop him. Unfortunately, he already smashed it in pretty bad, and my dad came down to us again. My little brother told him that it was my fault the Xbox One broke, because I wouldn't let him quit the match. I yelled at him, and told him it wasn't necessary to break my Xbox One over a damn game. Our dad looked at both of us, and told me my little brother was right, and I should of quit the game and none of this would have happened. I was shocked, because my dad is one of those guys who is a "there must be equality" sort of guy. I told him that if my little brother won't pay for it, then either my mom or him will pay for it, or I'll sue my family. My little brother cried some more, and my dad yelled at me, and told me I was grounded, and I owe my brother an Xbox One. Do you agree with them?

i used to go to therapy for anger management issues but my family really can t afford it anymore. my parents bust their asses working so we can stay in our house but they re always working. im 13 but i have to make all the food for my sister and i since my mom is usually working from early in the morning to late at night and my dad works hours were we never basically see him. i feel like i don t even know my family and i have very few friends that i often have squabbled with. i try to make people happy and maintain my grades but since im making such unhealthy food my mom has begun calling me fat, smelly, etc. even though i know it s because she s stressed it really hurts. i honestly hate my life and can t remember a day when i didn t want to die or didn t cry myself to sleep. plus, whenever i ask my parents for things they tell me it s too much work or they don t want to. i want to have friends and i want to have a social life, but i also am fed up and just want to end this pain.

I am a 13 year old male. Last night, I had a shower, after the shower I was drying myself with the towel I was using. My mum brought my evening meal up. She opened the door, I was quickly saying: "Whoah, whoah, I'm getting dressed here!" She said she's seen it before. Yes, she's seen it before. But I'm 13!! She didn't listen to me after. Anybody have any advice to actually tell her not to come in after knowing I've had a shower? Thanks in advance.

I'm a very calm,peaceful,positive,determined 17 year old and try my best at everything and generally look to mind my own buisness.Whenever my parents or someone from my family get too much into my buisness and i tell them that they are very obnoxious towards me they start assuming all types of bs how i try to act liek i'm something more than them or that i'm mad at them.I've told them a billion times how they should respect a person's interests and when they try to help the majority of the time they just talk nonsense.I mind my own buisness more often than not and tehy think that i'm ignoring them cuz i'm mad at them or something.I speak very calmly,confidently so they actually get the message,but tehy just can;t get it....how do i deal with that ,am i even supposed to,cuz i rally wantthem to understand how they should repect the fact that i'm just trying my best and want some privacy and make them stop being so delusional,because tehy can;t handle real talk basically they're very hard headed and keep messing up in my htings and wehn i ask them not to they just get offended liek little kids or when i try to talk about how they make me feel they become very closed minded and don't try to undertand me.They keep thinking the wrong things about life and i tell them when they're clearly wrong ,but as i said they're so hard headed...

I've had my facebook since 10th grade (2010), and there's stuff that I'd prefer my friends to see. And my family likes to make a big deal out of everything and they like to talk a lot behind people's backs. I'm not saying that I have anything provocative on there - like I don't have pictures of me drinking or arguing or talking about s*x or anything like that - but there are comments from guys talking about how pretty I am, or me out with friends at a party (no cups) and I'm not wearing "much clothes", talks about my past boyfriends that my family didn't know about, etc etc. And I'm a senior and I hardly use Facebook anyways. My mom, a few aunts, and a few uncles have tried to add me, and I've ignored all of their requests lol. Is this "wrong"?

I tell her really personal things that I'd rather nobody know besides her... Then she texts me saying her dad read all of our messages? Of course I understand he had the right to read his daughters texts, but it DOES intrude on my own privacy. I know he just wants the best for her but he has threatened me with the information that he knows. He says he will tell my parents all the stuff I tell her, even though it's not bad. I don't know what to do? This has happened about 10 times these last couple of months and I'm not a very filtered person. He abuses her physically and verbally and I have been so close to calling DCFS on him but the only reason I haven't yet done that is because I don't want her to not have a dad and she loves hi even though he is absolutely terrible to her. He calls her a piece of ****, worthless, fat and hits her.

So I (13) recently decided to decorate my room by printing out some photos. I specifically out photos of Marvel and The Avengers. My little sister (9) went into my room and said she reaply liked it. So now she is printing photos of the exact same thing. And when I confronted her about it she "acted clueless" even if she knows she is copying me. She also wants to help come clean and invites ONLY her son over to eat at her house, etc. Is this just out of good intentions? so my mom and my dad divorced when I was 3 or 4 (I am now 15) because my father was extremely abusive. He is an alcoholic and he broke my mother's neck, almost completely disabling her. She had a failed back surgery which made it even worse. (Told by my mom) when he got angry at me when I was only a couple months old, he threw me into a pool and when my mom tried to rescue me, he smashed a beer bottle over her head. He was never charged with anything for hurting my mother so I still have to see him weekly but since child support is looking for him. he decided to flee the state. he works as a carpenter in Florida and Colorado but he still calls me every six months or so. Long story short, I'm terrified of him because of what he did to my mom. He's nice to me, but I can tell he's hiding something and that scares me. he recently came back to California (where I live) and he wants to see me next week since its my birthday tomorrow. I haven't seen him in about 9 months. help.

I rent my home from my stepfather. I am 45 and he is 85. He has been violent with me and my mom from age four through 18, when I moved out. Now that he's old, he is no longer physically violent, but controlling. I own a business which I decided to close down at one location, I need to revamp. He is furious. The first thing he does is take my 20 year-old son to lunch, and proceed to unload his disapproval about me to him. Instead of venting only about the business, he is saying what a shame it would be if someone called animal control on me because I own horses. He feels they should not be there, but I am zoned for horses. They are perfectly taken care of. So he is just looking for ways to hurt me. I answered my phone, and all he says about my business closing, (which he loved) is "I TOLD YOU WOULD FAIL!" I don't even want to call the house to speak to my mother, because he will answer. Has anyone experienced anyone like this, and what should I do.

Im moving back to VA( a state where i used to live, i currently live in Utah) and i dont want to go back to my islamic life i freaking hated it. She's gonna put me back in muslim sunday school and i dont wanna do that. Her friends are gonna keep asking me when are you gonna wear the hijab ( scarf)? I keep telling them when im older but im never actually gonna wear it. I feel like in UT i can be who i am without judgement. I know that my mom is gonna say that UT has changed me when really, ive just done a lot of self reflection. Then my mom is gonna tell her friends and they're all gonna gossip about me. Thats what her and her friends used to do. Also i really want to finish school at my h.s ive never stayed at a school at the time im supposed to stay for. Id really like too. I feel like she only wants me to go with her because if i dont she'll lose her section 8 and idgaf about that she's used my name for many things, even food stamps. Someone has also stolen my S.S. number and she doesnt care! All she cares about is getting That Tax refund! Its been stolen for over a year! She wont even teach me how to drive. And my dads side of the family are too controlling and i feel like they wont let me be vegetarian. They say that i have to eat what they want me to eat and they're too strict. And my dad will hit for almost any reason. When i was born he rejected me and he didnt even sign my burth certificate! I really really dont want anything to do with these people! please help me!!

My sister quit talking to me when I was 12. She is 12 years older than me so at that time she was 24 and getting married. I didn t like her husband bc he was creepy towards me. I ask my parents and they won t answer me. I ve sent my sister cards and holiday presents with no response. Do you think one day she will feel miserable for her non-treatment? This may seem extreme, but my dad says he died in a car accident. Whenever he brings up the story he always focuses on his brother's girlfriend who left him for someone better and he never took it well and started drinking, and then out of nowhere he says he died in a car accident, not influenced by alcohol, the girl should have nothing to do with it. Yet he brings her up each and every time he talks about his brother's death and calls her names. I would never ask him for the truth but do you think he's lying? Am I just being paranoid?

My mom has a terrible temper she gets mad over any small thing I do like today I called my dad to see if he could drive me to the mall I told her he said yes she went and called my dad cancelled and hit me multiple times she also told me to stop acting like the victim and got more mad cause she broke one of her fake nails while hitting me anything I do gets really mad I would just try to have a small conversation with her some times she would start yelling over anything if I'm sick she won't ever take me the doctor but if my little brother is sick we go the hospital she calls me curse words all the time and hits me over anything why does she do this what did I do why does she treat me like this

My husband and I have been married for 3.5 years. He has a 9 year old son from his first wife. My stepsons mom died when he was only 2 years old, so he doesn't remember her, but her family have kept her very much alive for him, which is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I have 5 month old twins. My stepson was happy to be a big brother, but once I started getting bigger, my stepson was wanting more alone time with his dad while my husband was pushing more family time, which hasn't gone too good. I'm not sure why my husband is being so stubborn. Sometimes I feel like he's less and less happy to have my stepson know about his biological mom, which makes me sad. I always told my husband I would never be his sons mom and that he deserved to be able to talk about and hear about her. As someone who lost a parent very young, I know it can feel so good to be able to talk about them. My stepson is now becoming very disinterested in the twins and never wants to do stuff with me, which hurts. My husband gets annoyed about it all. They got into an argument last weekend and my stepson told my husband, rather grown up sounding in the moment, that he was his first wife's son, not mine. It's been tense between the two of them since. My stepson is withdrawn and my husband has told me he doesn't understand why he's clinging to his mom so much. I've tried talking to him, but he seems to think it's different for me because my mom never dated or remarried after my dad died when I was 1. He doesn't see me as his mom. I'm almost 21 years old and my mom won't let go... She won't let me make my own decisions and when I do she just gets mad and yells at me and attempts to punish me... I'm going to Florida on spring break and she keeps yelling at me trying to persuade me not to go and says it's a bad idea... I never used to go out and this year I started going out and now she gets mad that I'm never home; most of the time when I hang with someone they come over sooo idk why she thinks that way... And then I'm transfering in the fall and she keeps trying to persuade me to stay instead of go away but she doesn't even care that my younger brother is going away and he's the or tier of the family so you'd think she'd be more worried about that... Ever since 2-3 years ago after her divorce from my stepdad and started dating again she is always mad at me. I make straight A s and occasionally like once every two years a B+ on my report card and I do all my chores (which she has never payed me for) and don t do drugs or alcohol or cigarettes,etc. and I have barely any friends to hang out with. But no matter how hard I try impressing her she just ignores me and locks herself in her room with her newest boyfriends. Then when I buy something she wants with my money I earned from working she takes the item and hides it in her room and if I go in there and get it back she yells at me more. The only time she s nice to me is when she wants something from me. Lately I have been trying to tell her how I m feeling but all she does is ignore me and text then she ll try and make it all about her. So I ve been wondering what can I do to impress her and make her see it my way?

I'm 20. Right now things are going really good for me. I just got my own car, I have a trust fund starting soon. I'm going to buy my own house. I have a good credit score. Great credit cards. Etc... However, my mom is going through a tough time. She quit her job a few months ago and it backfired because she wasn't able to afford anything anymore. Her credit score is poor. She can't get approved for a car, she has to settle for an apartment, she wants a house. She doesn't really have any income, so I pay almost all of her bills. She always asks me for money. And lately she's been acting rather sad around me. She says she wants to be happy for me but she can't help but feel bad because she can't get the things she wants and needs. She always has an attitude around me. Or gets distant when I talk about something good that happened. And I just feel so bad. I don't even know what to do. I bought a car and she says she needed a car more than I do. She makes me feel guilty about every good thing that happens. And my half sister (she has a different dad) gets jealous to. No one can be happy for me. And the only reason I have a trust fund is from my dads wrongful death...

I am an adult and live on my own, got my own invite, but after I RSVP'd a week ago I didn't hear back like "glad you can come". I assume the people are just busy as it is a cousin, his wife, and their new twins the party is for (cousin's parents putting it on). My mother had to decline due to travel so I am very worried my aunt-uncle will think I am not coming and be offended when I show up, however I told them by email twice "see you on the 13th". So my question is should I drop it and just go next weekend or be concerned people will be offended when I arrive next Sunday and so repeat myself a third time

My mom started seeing her cousin about 6 months ago. Before she d even told anyone, to me it was obvious... How they spoke fondly of one another and flirted.. It was gross, it makes me so sick to be Frank. Now he lives with us, me and my two young sisters and mom. I don t talk to him, or communicate with him, unless it s absolutely necessary. I don t want them to think that I m okay with this, my sisters know that that s their cousin and it just grosses me out cuz maybe they ll think that s okay. My mom hasn t talked to me about it at all, but I heard from my dad who doesn t live with us that they are lying and saying that they are really related, which isn t true because he s always at family reunions. They just want friends in childhood because their side of the family is known for that kind of thing, so my grandmother kept my mom away. I swear I'm a depressive person. And I've tried to feel better these last few days but tonight I plummeted back down to ground zero. I had a rap and singing performance. I gave it my all. I brought energy. I gave it my all. But all the crowd did was stand there. They weren't feeling it at all. It was about 30 people in the venue. When I was finished and got off stage, nobody complimented me. There were 2 guys who came to me but that's it. The rest just ignored me as I walked past, continuing with their shitty lives. This isn't the first time that I performed and people didn't like it. It hurts the most because Music's my dream I want it so bad. And it feels like they crush my dream. That hurts the most. And I'll admit, part of the reason I do music is to get girls. But so far I fail again. No cute fan girls have ever came to me and complimented me after my performance. I'm so fed up with life. And there's so much other shiit going on too. It's 1am I'm sitting home alone. I'm throwing ****. Punching walls, going on a rage. I wanna kill myself right now.

My dad is extremely over weight himself, and maybe that's part of the problem. I'm still in high school, so I live with him and he is constantly feeding me and feeding me and he keeps buying all this food and shoving it down my throat (methaphorically of course.) He gets mad at me and actually yells if I refuse food. I have been gaining a lot of weight over the last few years and I'm nearly over weight myself now and I actually go to counseling for over eating because I can't stop myself now. I have a problem and although I don't think my dad is the cause of it, he is certainly not making it easier on me to live healthier and recover from all the over eating. When I try to talk to him about it, he just says that I am not eating enough, which couldn't be farther from the truth. He doesn't understand me and I don't know what to do. Please help.

My little sister is 17, and she is very ungrateful, lazy, selfish and annoying as hell. I am her big sister (18), trying to help her, but she is too much. I am one of three kids, my mother died 7 years ago. My two siblings are cold to my late mothers family, I reach out a lot. When we were kids my mother didn't get along with her family but as a teen I began reaching out and realized how kind her family is. So now I am 29, the youngest of three, and my older two siblings only do things with our Dad's side of the family. My brother for example did not have anyone on my mother's side to his wedding but had all our Dad's side. I fear often as a result that I will look bad because of my brother and sister's behavior. Will I? My mother had two siblings, both are still living, and also her mother who has since died (her father died before we were born). I was close to her mother and the rest of the family but my siblings, while close to her mother, do not interact with anyone else.

I am a 25 year old woman from the middle east I am not a muslim, but i am forced by my countries religion and culture to follow whatever my parents set out, or id be physically abused. My parents are not very strict but when it comes to things like (boyfriends and sex) they are extremely strict (no boyfriends because it is haram and no sex before marriage) I am very lucky with how my mother reacted when she found out i lost my virginity to my boyfriend. She didnt kill me nor did she tell my father she handled it on her own (she hit me with a very heavy shoe, she cried and started blaming herself, she confiscated my cellphone, changed my phone number. She's driving me around places instead of letting em drive and she barely is agreeing for me to hang out with my friends). The problem is, in our culture both parents have to agree to a marriage. My boyfriend proposed a week ago and both my parents had a fit like you wouldnt believe. I m 14 and she s 15 and we share a room which is basically her room, I never go in the room but when I go to bed I m not allowed on my phone but she goes on her iPad which used to be a family iPad which she stole and made her own. Mornings are the worst I can never lay in she doesn t want me in the room so she sings at the top of her voice and plays music really loud and if I do the same she throws things at me like heavy boxes and beats me up and pulls my hair and sprays stagnant water on me! If we re ever left at home together she will beat me up for sure one time she hit me about 10 times with a slate table mat until it broke in half she s also thrown all my things out the window before thrown my makeup in the loo and its for ridiculous reasons, like one time I sat with my friends on the school bus and she said it was too close to her and when we got home she beat me up like sat on me, pinched me, pulled hair, one time at the beach she flicked sand at me so I flicked it back and she force fed me sand, omg it s so hard to explain how psycho she is in a paragraph (sorry it s so long) she s horrible at school I could just be walking down the corridor and shed slap me round the face of pull my hair it s gone to far and I don t think I can handle it anymore my friends hate her (she s mean to them too, and year 7s) I don t even think her friends like her that much seeing as she never goes out she just lays in bed all day! My mums tried to get help for her but she won t get it!
