I have had a best friend literally since I was 6 months old. We don't go to the same school but during the summer see each other like weekly and during the school year see each other like once or twice a month this year. I am a junior in high school and he is a sophomore, I am starting to worry about losing him when I go to college. I don't know where I am going or where he will go necessarily so it is all out in the open. We don't necessarily talk about real serious stuff like this so I don't know how to ask him or how to deal with it yet. How should I deal with this and will I lose him in my life once college and after college hits?

My friend says she can't do it, but my other friends and I can all do it.

So I am a sophomore in high school this year. I have "liked" a few girls within the course of the year. I dated one for an extremely short time because the girl was a b**** and she cheated on me with the guy she was with before me. The girl I liked after her is named Moriah (and the girl I dated for a short time was Maddi). Maddi found out I liked Moriah and told her even though she promised not to. I was going to go to a party at Moriah's house but Maddi told her lies about me and I was uninvited. Skip ahead to a few months later. Her and I are back to being friends. Skip ahead to this month/end of January. Moriah is in my biology class. I was working on my laptop because we had a free period. Well, I wasn't working I was laughing my *** off at Markiplier on YouTube. Moriah came over and set in the seat next to me and at first just talked to a girl behind me. I laughed at Markiplier again and she turned to me. She had this big grin on her face and closed my laptop. She asked what I was watching so I told her. She closed my laptop again and I opened it again. She was about to close it a third time but her hand lingered on the top of my laptop. I slowly pushed her hand off and then she said Pewdiepie was better. I walked away, pretending to be disgusted and offended by that comment. She knew I was joking. The teacher started talking and that was the end of that. A few days ago now, I was in the hallway doing some homework after school. Moriah was actually still there. Continued: She came and sat a bit close to me and we just casually talked for a bit before she walked away. Now today she came in to the choir room (school was over and choir is my last class of the day). I was with my friend Ryan because he had to practice a solo after class. We talked with Moriah and two other girls for a short bit. I sat on the stage (we're in an auditorium with a stage for plays) as we talked> Moriah jumped up on the stage and sat SUPER SUPER close to me She jabbed me in belly a bit and even leaned on me sort of. then I started recording Ryan practicing his solo so that I could put it on snapchat. She poked me in the belly even more. Then just now she texted me and asked if I had been asked to this dance thing. It's called Sadies (idk why) and it's like reverse prom, girls ask guys. We just continued to talk about how I am forever alone.

For a while it was just one girl who would slways says dumb **** like you swallow or you have no life etc and I d just kind of laugh it off and insult them back. Now more people basically mimick her and say oh it s only (anon) he doesn t matter or he s ugly or dumb take your pick. Mostly they say it as a joke but sometimes its more sincere. I guess they think I can take it and that it s funny because I never have good "comebacks". Recently I basically just loose and spit savagery as I insulted them back and then they just acted like what they said was justified all along and just straight up talked **** about me after removing me from a group chat. (Friend told me) Don t know how to react now, thought they were my friends. -I m 17, in fairly good shape and I wouldn t call myself ugly. Don t have much self confidence though.

My best friend and I are always saying the same things at the same time, like answering questions together without even thinking about it, or just saying really random things at the same time. Or, someone will say something and we'll just look at eachother at the same time. We will sometimes just say like 5 or more sentences at the same time, without even trying. Not to mention the fact that we look really similar, too. I've noticed that a lot of best friends are like this. Why are best friends so similar?

Okay, so my mom, my cousin, and maybe more people will be visiting my concert. I had recently got 3rd chair since I didn't have WiFi for some reason when I had to do a playing test online. I told my mom and she (for some reason) seemed fine about it. But, I might make her upset about not doing ABC Orchestra. I forgot to. It's been a long time. How do I explain her this stuff if she is upset? She is going to think that I am awful at this stuff and I am dropping in my class since I won't do any special things that are going on in my class. (Like ABC Orchestra, Solos', Camp, etc.) I am doing private lessons (I am a cellist) in a music store. I am pretty much ahead of everyone except for this one student in the Violin section who has been playing since he was six years old while, I did 3 years of Cello before the rest of the students in my class. I am actually kind of okay if my mom acts like this, because I will have people come over and they can probably start an argument with her talking about it and myself also. But, I need some tips on what I should do to calm her down just in case. I had promised her that I would change my chair to 1st since I always get 1st chair, as well.

I'm in my freshmen year of high school (ew, I know) and I haven't been able to obtain a very stable social life because I have never been able to live in one place longer than three years. I've been able to get the hang of it ( making new friends ) and I've been invited to seven birthday parties in the past year (2015). But on one occasion ( about an upcoming sleepover at the time that already happened ) I told my mom that the host of the party was going to wait until everyone leaves to play Cards Against Humanity with the people that can sleep over. Obviously not in the know, my mother looks up the game and sees the detail of what that game is. My mother, outraged and disappointed with my crude and "dirty" humor that I have, wouldn't let me go to the party, or the sleepover and grounded me for two weeks. Now the real issue that is present is that I have now been invited to party/sleepover from a person that my twin brother and myself knows. The person (I won't say the real name so I'll say a fake one) Jane and I have grown to be really close friends, and my twin, my mom, and me bought a little holiday present for her last year. I presented the invitation to my mom and she basically snatches it out of my hand and skims through it until she finds the word 'sleepover' and when she spotted it she smiled and shook her head saying, "Yeah, ha, no. You're not going to this party because I'm so f---ing done with your drama." Cue argument. Thoughts? I need help with this brawl.

My friend hits me and always wants to play fight when were walking home to see what the kids on the bus would do if they saw someone fighting because they think their thirsty. When I would hang out with my other friends she would really come to me and pull me the other way like I cant talk to them, and she does nasty things and I don't agree with those type of things and sometimes people would even think I would do those type of things just because I hang out with her. My mom never even met her but told me not to be friends with her because of the things she does. Am I otherthinking things?

Im married with a young baby and my home life is great. I enjoy my job if even though I keep to myself a little. I have this friend. She calls me her best friend and these days whenever we have an argument, I ALWAYS need to be the first one to talk to her. This makes it seems like I'm dying for her but the thing is we had one again and this time I don't know the reason. I txt her and called her twice after a couple of days of not talking. feel like people don t like me. i try to be nice, but they always mean to me. I would say I talk a lot sometimes, which I am trying to change. I try to makes friends, but no one want to be my friends. I feel like some people at work hate me for no reason. It hurts so bad, I am trying to figure out what s wrong with me. I need a job, every interview that I went to they don t even call me back. I feel like I am curse or someting.

Well he is not in a gang yet but it's only a matter of time. He and his friends are involved in petty crime. I don't know exactly what but I know it's something illegal. A few days ago someone shot one of his friends in the leg. Talking to him is pointless. You get one word answers and shrugging shoulders. My bf was involved in that world before and he said: "Like with all things in life you can never help someone that doesn't want it. All you can do is extend a helping hand and hope he grabs it". My bf and I had a talk with him. I was kind of hoping that my bf would be a lot harder on him but he was very diplomatic. He said: "He is a young kid that doesn't yet realize how things work. He thinks those people have his back. Code of the streets and all that. To your face they all preach brotherly love. But as soon as you turn your back every single one of them would give you up for $100. At the end of the day that's the name of the game - money. I just hope he gets it before something really bad happens". I have no experience with these situations. I don't know what to do. Where do we go from here?

My best friend wants to be transgender. Somehow, my whole class in school got involved and keep making fun of him. He doesn't defend himself and I wasn't just going to sit there and let him hear all the bad things they were saying. I defended him but the class turned on me. I can't tell a teacher or parent or adult because then my friend's parents will find out that he wants to be a boy and they don't support that. I don't want to be depressed over this. i started my own business last year and since then my so call best friend at the time changed up on me. i do not call her my best friend now or my friend. she is irrelevant to me. But anyway, she started making small indirect remarks about me to other people. saying that since i started my little business, i dont have time for her anymore. even though i was texting and calling her. the crazy thing about it i still worked my regular job (mornings) and she worked evenings. which made it even harder for us to hook up because when she going in i am getting off work. i worked my regular job, taking care of my children, running my business, and going to college full-time. i have a busy life. i introduced my business to her and offered her to join. i was willingly to teach her, train, and coach her the whole way through for her to learn how to make money and be successful and growing a business. she deleted me off of facebook. a month ago she saw me out to lunch with a couple of co-workers and she stopped and spoke to me like we were on the best of terms. here it is January(at the time) and you have not even said a word to me since September. why would she do this? i have did no wrong to her. i was there when her own mother degraded her and did not want to help her.

I am a senior this year and I am allowed to pick my graduation gift, only problem is I have no idea what to get! I really do need a new phone (I have the iphone 4s and the iOS doesn't support so many apps now and its just glitching in so many ways), but my dad told me I couldn't get a phone. I don't want any art supplies or books or money like I've gotten for previous gifts, I want this to be special. My older sister got to go on a trip for a week to see some old friends. But I don't have any friends out of state that I want to see, I can't go to a place that my parents don't know anybody, and I'm not allowed to leave the country unaccompanied. I guess I'm a late bloomer, but I just got started on Facebook less than two weeks ago. I was really looking forward to reconnecting with all my old friends, but he was the one I was looking forward to the most. We were inseparable from the ages of 5-14, when his parents moved to another state. We continued to talk on the phone sporadic for the next two years, but eventually found new friends and stopped calling each other. That was 18 years ago. When I searched and found his Facebook profile, I was elated. But elation soon turned to shock and grief when I scrolled down his timeline. He had passed away on December 29, 2015. I managed to contact his mother, and she and I spoke on the phone for a couple hours. Over the summer, he began having excruciating toothaches. He went to the dentist in September, and was told to see a doctor immediately. He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of oral cancer, which quickly spread to his brain, and killed him three months after his diagnosis. Six months ago he was living happily and had no idea his time on earth was coming to an end; and he left behind a wife and two boys. I am crushed by all this, and wish I wouldn't have waited so long to sign up for Facebook. I should've been there for him, but I wasn't, and it is eating at my soul.

I thought I was ready for an online exam that was timed. I clicked on it and I didn't know a lot of the questions so I closed out of it and got locked out. My instructor reset it and I accidentally clicked on it again. I closed out of the test. I feel like he's not going to believe me and think I was cheating or something. What should I do?

I'm 15, freshman. My father abused me as a child than left me. Now, i always have had my mother but she recently got a bf. She'll ignore me for no reason if I do something she doesn't like. She only ignores me for a day or two, but in the past I lost my only best friend because she's ignored me for almost a year with no explanation. So I wear brown contacts which are not that much lighter than my own but are a slight change, my real eyes are slightly darker. I wear them everyday for my eyesight but this week I decided to not wear them because I need to get new ones and they haven't come yet. I'ts to the point where at social events I don't even invite him around because he's always with her. She's very rude, disrespectful and tends to have this huge ego for no reason. I'ts live the more weight she gains the bigger her ego gets. I'm not fat shaming or anything but she her attitude problem is so bad that even if we are out at the bar or something she will act like every dude is hitting on her and try to get my friend to fight other guys. She has the tendency to do rude **** and think it's funny. One time I left my phone in the kitchen at my house when they were over. You would think my friend would realize but they have been dating for 2 years now and my friend is head over heels for this chick. what should I do? *reminder my parents are strict as hell* My friend bought tickets to see troye Sivan for next month and I ve known since November, my friends mom agreed to take us to see him and even offered to wait in line before it starts, it s on a Friday and I have school that day and the concert doesn t start till 8 but it s general admission so I have to be taken out of school, the only problem I have is that I have to convince my parents or one of them to let me go to get taken out of school and see him, I am an A straight student with all honors classes, and they only recently let me go out with my friends and hang out with them, how am I going to convince them that my friend invited me to go see Troye Sivan in Philadelphia and have to be taken out of school halfway through the day?

My friend has been struggling with anxiety problems for a while now. She started self harming, and not very long after she lost her boyfriend of two years because of how much she had changed (supposedly). It really started getting to her and making her feel like even more of a burden to everyone. She's always socially awkward and she says she hates being around people because she always makes herself seem like an idiot when someone talks to her. Her self esteem is nonexistent and she always says that she's ugly. She always avoids her problems too and I hate it. Is this really a reason for her to be purposely cutting her wrist though? No one is actually bullying her at school, and her family has always been supportive of her. I know she isn't doing it for attention because she tries her best to hide it, and honestly she does such a great job its scary. I just don't understand why she's doing this over what seems like the smallest little things. What should I do to confront her and make sure there isn't something more serious going on? Could she really be telling the truth and that's all that lead her to it?
