Posted: 09 Oct 2016 04:48 PM PDT Alright, so my friends where talking about the laptops they were saving up for (they are gamers and use high - tech gaming laptops) and I just said , " I m saving up for a MacBook" , because my current laptop is really old and has a couple of viruses on it that we cannot get off. My reasons for wanting a MacBook- - I need a new one because my old one is no longer in working condition. -I use my laptop EVERYDAY for a MINIMUM of 6 hours. - I really don t do much on my laptop, I edit videos for my YouTube channel, watch YouTube, watch Netflix , chat with my friends on Skype , listen to music , listen to audiobooks , and sometimes play minecraft for my friends. They keep sending me links to "better laptops" and they got mad at me when I tried to defend myself by listing the reasons above. I also left the chat , because I got into a fight with another friend over the summer and it caused me to end a friendship. So , i left the chat so that wouldn t happen , and they keep talking about how I m an idiot for wanting a MacBook , and how they were trying to "help me". Am I mad for no reason? Eventually he admits that he's jealous and envious of your success. You get emotional and talk about your struggles and why he should not be jealous (you bring up his accomplishmenst). When the guy's friend-let's call him "Reggie" for some reason-saw us, he got kind of red a little, and seemed a bit high strung. My crush broke away from me to catch up to him, and they started joking around about something. But then when I sat with them I noticed that though they were joking about things, they were doing the bare minimum of connection and weren't looking at each other, just sat side-by-side and far apart, and seemed like they felt awkward and even inhibited. Then after only like a minute of talking, Reggie was about to leave, and my crush randomly told Reggie that he noticed Reggie had scars on his hands as they talked about how Reggie refuses to stay where told and will break out of buildings sometimes. Then Reggie went and sat really far away instead of with us, and my crush shared with me that he and Reggie like to cut class and run outside together to make the teachers mad. Then during the program, Reggie made some sort of gesture to my crush from across the room to tell a joke, and my crush nodded/chuckled, and then he just absently smiled to himself. I don't see guy-guy interactions much, the last time I saw my crush interacting with his friend was 3 years ago, and it was the exact same with the whole joking and no need for deep or long conversation thing except my crush wasn't awkward or inhibited, only his friend. Is this what friendships are like between straight guys? |

I've had this problem since middle school when I was bullied & excluded by other kids for my hair & for acting different from the other kids. In high school, I only had close acquaintances & not friends, & was still an easy target for bullies. My self-esteem sucks & my social skills have deteriorated. In my senior year of college, I gave friendships another try. Because of my weak social skills & naivety, I used money to support a female "friends" (but it's also because she told me stories about how her family was "robbed"). It was only when it was time to pay up that her true colors showed. She would also hate to hang around me & told me that other people at my college gossiped about me being weird. Another close female acquaintance turned on me out & started embarrassing me on snapchat (I was unaware I was recorded, mind you) & picked petty arguments with me during my college graduation. I moved on & made another female friend, but she eventually stopped talking to me for unexplained reasons. Me losing that friend was the last straw. I became angry, hurt, & felt helpless. So I turned into a temporary Instagram hater to cope with my self-loathing (I stopped because I was being pathetic). I've thought of changing my whole personality to make female friends because I think that's why I'm struggling. I do not want any guy friends because I already have male family members, so don't tell me to make guy friends. |

I didn't expect that to be the reason but each time i try to socialize or make friends, there's always a tell that just makes people clock me and wonder what I am. I just failed my Chem exam a 192.9/260, I talked to other people and they said thats average so Chemistry professors separate the "good/bad/best" and that they do this on purpose. But do they not understand the effects on people's self-esteem, I'm honestly so torn and depressed from everything that seems to be over loading me with so much work, that I constantly have to be working and constantly have to be studying. But that doesn't even pay off because I'm failing most of my classes. I enjoy watching and going to every sports game I can (Steelers are killing it right now!). I also enjoy drawing. I listen to a lot of music (Kanye, Chance, Tyler The Creator, Halsey, etc.). I read as much as I can. I enjoy studying (mostly because it lets me forget about the fact that my school is full of jerks). I'm always up for a new challenge. She would call me annoying, team up against me, overreact to small things I do. When she would be upset with something a bunch of us did, she would always blame me for it in the end. I have 3 roommates and 2 of them have become best friends. They go to eat dinner at the dining hall together all the time, go to football games together, talk about each others problems, watch Netflix together, etc. I've tried to become friends with these 2 girls, but I always feel like the 3rd wheel and just don't feel like I can be myself around them. My other roommate I feel comfortable around, but she never wants to do anything with me. Whenever I ask her to go get dinner with me or go to a football game she always says she has too much homework to go. We both don't have much in common either. I can however talk to this roommate about my problems and she talks to me about hers. I don't feel like we could ever be best friends though since we don't have much in common and she never wants to do anything with me. I wanted to send jessy a photo album with all the photos of Joel and I as memory's. I was friends with this guy for 2 and a half years before he stopped talking to me and becoming a bully. I logged into my account today and it turns out he switched my name on my account to his and he was ordering free games for i guess his tablet or something. I got the proof because of "viewed history" in amazon and my boyfriend knows I wouldn't look free games up on amazon. I also switched my password too. He knew my old password when we were friends but I didnt think he would log in and switch my name to his. I feel real upset and i did trust him in the past but i do not know what made him hate me out of nowhere. What should I do? I might reswitch my password to something he will not get :/ |

I feel guilty about annoying them. I feel bad because sometimes I don't give them money when they tell me to. I've watched some videos and short films of hers and I have to say she's really pretty, she has something that catches my attention in some way. However, I don't think about kissing her, Neither do I think about her in a sexual way, in fact, I like how she looks in some of her photos and videos, while I don't like how she looks in other photos and videos of hers. Posted: 09 Oct 2016 08:49 AM PDT My "best friend" Michael and I have been friends since 2008 though we haven't been as close since graduating back in 2012. I have a child now and I'm working on a career all the while being in school full time and working full time. We don't talk as much as we used to but we talk here and there. A few days ago, I called him to see how he was doing and everything seemed fine. The next morning while on my way to work, I get a text from him asking is there any way I could give him $350 because he and his mom were getting ready to get kicked out of their house. As I said before, we haven't talked a lot in a while and I've never given anyone outside of immediate family that much money. I'm also saving for a car and my own place and really don't have the means to just give away my money. I talked to him and asked him if there was any way I could just give him something just to help as 350 dollars is a lot of money. He basically brushed off the other offerings and was saying they needed it urgently.As bad as I did not want to, I ended up giving him the $350. I talked to some mutual friends and close co-workers about the situation and they all agreed that what he did was fake as he hasn't been talking to me and basically called for his benefit. There have been times in the past where I needed help from him and all he could give me was excuses. Should I be done with him for using me? He and his mom also talked crap about me when they found out I was pregnant with my daughter 3 years ago. I just wanted to help but now I feel stupid and I really feel like he used me. I feel very betrayed. I thought he would see that I have my own struggles and that he should've appreciated whatever amount I gave him. This is not the first time he's walked on me. |

These two guys are best friends and they asked me to come with them at lunch and one of them is pretty tight with me now. The other one though, not as much. He jokes about me being a little late or when i do something awkward, he also jokes about how my schoolwork is bad/how i m going to fail and so on, which is fine, because I m fairly thick skinned. Every so often though, his jokes get really personal and it DOES hurt my feelings a lot. recently I ve being struggling with anxiety and his comments, even the innocent ones, are really upsetting me. I tried to confide in him about it, but he essentially told me that he didn t want to hear about it because it s depressing. He still pokes fun at me several times a day. It s come to a point that I just really don t want to talk to him anymore. I know that once i get through this anxious period I ll be fine with the teasing, but for now i find it really difficult. Any advice on what I should do or say to him? I don t want to be a jerk and just stop talking to him without explanation but i just feel like hanging out with him is making me feel awful. |
