| Question: Older kids on Halloween...? Posted: 31 Oct 2016 05:41 PM PDT Had a pair of kids walk up to my door this year. Seemed like maybe freshman/sophomores in HS. I opened the door holding the bowl of candy, expecting the "trick or treat" that usually comes with the opening of the door, but got nothing. The kids then reached in and one grabbed the only full-size hershey bar in the bowl while the other grabbed one or two smaller ones, and the second kid was the only one to say thank you. As they went down the steps to leave, I said to them (with a bit of sass) "Trick or treat!" with no response. I then turned around to go back to doing my work (finishing college applications), forgetting to close the door, and called the first kid an asshole in a voice that I thought was sufficiently under my breath. Apparently, the kid heard and glared at me. I never meant for him to hear, but is that tag justified? Or is that too far? |

Anytime I leave something lying in the common space he will throw it into my room. He even throws food into my room if I leave it out. Right on my bed. Drinks he throws into the floor. He only does dishes that he uses and he throws the rest into my bed. I told him I had enough of it and he said ok then clean up after yourself. My room is completely trashed all the time. Im looking for a new place to live but Im having trouble finding something for now because I have bad credit and can't afford to live without a roommate. I was going to do it right back to him but he's such a neat freak that he always cleans everything before I get the chance. What can I do while I look for a new place? |

He used to have such a big ego since 5th grade and now the people he thinks are his posse only hang out with him as a joke and they told him and he was upset. I was giving him evidence and statistics about the percentage of fatherless house holds with those kids growing up to become some type of thug or rule breaker. Now that kid sees me as a racist and wants to fight me. He mouths words like "I'll beat the **** out of you" and I respond with "you're all talk". That is most of our arguments in class. Now back on topic, I don't want to fight this kid because I could cause him a long-time injury since I am much stronger than him. I don't want to have to feel awful every time I see him with something fractured. But if I don't fight him, I have to put up with his insults and gossip to other kids around the school. He's beginning to tell people that I'm a white supremacist which I am not. What should I do? What would you do in my shoes? |

I thought this was somewhat normal. Even now at 16 no one texts me unless I text them and I never get invited to go out. Which means that my weekends and holidays are lonely, the people I usually talk to are My family. Around the time I was 14 I met a person who I thought would be like a real friend but I see that she hangs out and talks to other people a great amount more than she does to me. I think I m quite a nice person and I m bubbly and easy to talk to and I m up for anything and can easily engage in conversation, so I don t understand why I don t have any real friends I have tried but it seems like they lose interest I guess and would use me as a last result. I can t tell anyone about it because I m quite ashamed as everyone I know has real friends. Is there any advice for me that you could give? |

I used to work in a very social environment and had no problem identifying who I should or shouldn't be close friends with. I developed a circle of friends that I trust with my life. Problem is a few of them are moving away or too busy. I'm making new friends but we only hang out as groups. I don't really hang out with them individually and I don't know what to do when hanging out. Used to I'd get baked with my friends and watch cartoons and these people really became my family. But I don't do any of that anymore. My new friends frequent the bar on the weekends and I'm trying to get more comfortable with that kind of setting. I don't go out as much as them so they all are growing closer to one another and I'm drifting away from everyone. It's also hard because I know nobody is flawless but my old friends I never saw their flaws. Maybe it's because I was never sober. But a few people in the group I know all their dirt. They're great people around me but I see the couples fighting, I see the childish rejection of other friends of friends for no reason. All this stuff that really bothers me just in the way they treat each other or other people. But they're good to me. I'm wondering should I go out on double dates with them, get closer, and form those strong bonds, or am I going to step into drama? Or should I just see what happens? I hope this makes sense. |

| Posted: 31 Oct 2016 01:34 PM PDT My friend dropped out of my wedding the day we were suppose to pick out dresses she did this via text and said it was about the money I had asked her in June to be a bridesmaid and she has been pregnant and was pregnant then when I asked her she said she wanted to be one and I even questioned if she really wanted to be one because I knew she was pregnant I basically gave her an out and she insisted she wanted to be one As a side note she won't be pregnant on my wedding wedding is in July and she'll give birth in December Her text basically said she knew from the beginning she should say no and not to be mad Side note she was just in another one of our friends wedding year and a half ago and in her boyfriends brothers wedding a few months back I have been a good friend for years and attended her baby shower, birthday parities, her kids birthday parties. I didn't always have the money for everything but I came up with it because that's what friends do. I feel slighted and now suddenly she keeps putting up posts that's she's putting in a new kitchen and took her daughter to a fair and stuff I feel so upset It seems like she has money when she wants to Now I am invited to attend her sprinkle this week I am going to go and bring a gift but I feel so hurt like Shr doesn't have time or money for me but I'm suppose to have it for her Just sucks any advice would be appreciated How should I feel /handle this ? Okay so....When i was younger in 5th grade i use to always be able to hang out with people..But i use to always got in trouble and then in 6th grade i got in trouble at school with people non stop etc....It has happend most of my life and same with 7th grade. He never had a relationship before, and he's from a very poor country where he told me himself there is nothing to do in his country. I don't know if he'd be jealous or not if I tell him about all the fun stuff that I do here in the USA (amusement parks, skiing, dirtbiking, etc..) Any ideas what to talk to a new friend about? |

She's 56 and I'm 24 and she used to be my supervisor at the last job that I had but they let me go because I wasn't fast enough but they do like me as a person. Anyway me and her were texting one day and she asked if she could be my friend and I told her yes and that was over a month ago and I have invited her over to my house to hang out with me but she told me she couldn't and she said its nothing against you I just have to let my dogs out because they're in her house all day while she goes to work and she said but I can come over to her house. She has invited me over to her house before but I wasn't feeling good and I just get nervous but I'm trying not to be that way anymore but should I still be her friend even though she never wants to come over to my house? | Question: Why do I get bullied everywhere I go? Posted: 31 Oct 2016 10:43 AM PDT In grade one I was bullied on the bus and I was excluded from other girls in my class and I had no friends. In grade three and four I was bullied by a boy and the whole class made fun of me I was called nicknames because I was fat,ugly and quiet which made me and easy target for bullying and i was known as a loser. And in grade six my friends ditched me from their group And I got cyber-bullied by them a lot they I remeber being told by them that I am a loser,ugly cry baby. In grade seven I moved to a new school and I managed to start a new life there and forget the **** that happened in my old school but I got bullied really bad even worse than my old school and it affects me till this day it stared off as girls picking on me and teasing me about my looks but it got even worse than my old school when a relative I am friends with bullied me and told my crush that i like him and told him the nicknames they used to call me in my old school then he told the whole school what she told him and in that point the bullying got really bad even boys engaged In the bullying they all started calling me the nicknames I used to be called in my old school and I remember being pushed on the ground two times and they even stared throwing my stuff around and playing with it |

Posted: 31 Oct 2016 10:38 AM PDT So, a person who I thought was my best friend invited me over to her house for 2 weeks, and I've known this girl for 10 years and last night I heard her say she doesn't even know why she invited me over for so long and she wishes she could tell me to go home. Also, we were supposed to go to the movies today and she said she didn't have time but then she ended up going with her boyfriend instead. I've been keeping my mouth shut about it all but now I don't even think she wants to be friends anymore because for the last week I've been trying to make plans with her and she keeps saying no but then makes plans with her other friends. I'm not gonna lie, it's really hurting my feelings because I've known her for so long and now she all of a sudden doesn't want to be around me. I want to ask her why she's acting like this but I don't know how to bring it up. Could you possibly tell me how I could stop this or something? Thanks. |

She got closer to a different girl and then started to claim her as her bestfriend. she pretty much replaced me, after everything we went through together. we hardly even talk anymore. most that we would talk would be 2 times a week, and its not even "bestfriend" conversations, is more like "wyd? nm u ? same, ok" that's it. I hate seeing her name on my phone. like I hate when she watches all of my snapchats and likes my pictures on Instagram. I just feel betrayed and I can feel hate building up. for example, I lost my grandmother last week and my family went out the country for 2 weeks so I am by myself. only time I heard from her was the day that my grandmother died. She was only with me for like an hour saying " if you want ill sleep over and I'm gonna check on you".... blah blah blah . but I haven't heard from her since. isn't she supposed to be there for me? I am 19 years old and I feel like this is childish to keep someone in my life like this. I don't want to keep waiting and waiting till she decides to fix our friendship. like I love her as a sister but it just seems like she doesn't care anymore. only thing stopping me from blocking her is hope of fixing the friendship but I know it is not going to happen. should I block her? also, is she worth sending her a message about how I feel? |

Unfortunately I got grouped with this annoying person (let's just call it "x"). So we started working in groups and dividing tasks. Me and my friends in the group have all got own tasks and we really needed this X's help. So we asked him, but he always had reasons not to do the tasks we asked. And he's really weird like he got two different accounts of him in our group chat like wth? Recently I asked him something important about the assignment, well I asked everyone and everyone replied but he didn't. And I got so upset I deleted one of his account in the group chat. He completely lost it, he got so angry he blamed me at the group chat. So childish. He started a drama and I really hate drama. I didn't want to start a problem so I ended it, I said "I was just asking why were you so mad about it, weird" I just don't want my other friends in the group hate me. I just don't want this to become a long problematic drama. What should I do? Was it the right thing to do? Should I care about what other people think? Sorry this is so long but I hope you can help me, by giving some advices. |

My relationship with both girls have been up and down but we've shared some nice moments as friends and we are okay now. However, will it be awkward asking them to come out with me and a few other males to celebrate my birthday without asking their boyfriends because in all honesty, I don't get on with the boyfriends because we never talk and they aren't people I want to celebrate my birthday with? Posted: 31 Oct 2016 09:16 AM PDT I'm avoiding 4 of my friends because recently, everytime I text them, they are always making big unnecessary fusses about small life problems. I try to support them very much, but I feel like I'm being used for a pillow and I'm sick of their whining. I've dealt with similar problems to theirs, but they really act childish about things as small as "My brother is annoying me." and will turn it into a big depression speech. I can only "parent" them to a certain limit. I don't even feel like talking to them at this point, because all the advice I give them, they never use it, and sit and cry like some lazy infants. I'm also afraid of hurting their feelings since they seem so "sensitive". |
