He found out i was allegric to peanuts because he observed what i was eating when i stayed ghe night at his place. My mom emailed me that her TV had died and she wanted me to help her find a new one. She was afraid the salesperson would take advantage of her. Monday I got an excited call from her that said our TV buying trip was off. When she got home there was a new big screen TV in her house. There was a note on the TV screen that said. "This is just a small payback for all the wonderful things you did for us when Joan (me) and I were married." It was signed by my ex husband. I was shocked beyond words. Some days we have to eat what was made for lunch/dinner the day before for each meal days after. Most of the food is from food stamps at the beginning of the month, cant shop after. Im not sure whats going on bc my family doesnt tell me things since I naturally get stressed out easily. All I know is that things are way different now. Im gonna cut right to the chase here. I don't do too well in school. I am 13 years old and my brother is 22. Yes a very big age gap. I know. But. My brother and mum mainly insult me cause I have bad grades. My usual grade is a C (3). My brother goes to college in another city. He is there for about 3-4 ish days and the second he comes home he starts annoying and teasing me. He never stops. He always kisses my mum and dads ***. Just so hes always right. I am a big fan of our local sports team. I go to every game I can but I can afford only the cheapest seats. One day at a game, I heard someone say "Hello Ann". There is a fashion fad going on at my daughter's high school of the girls not wearing a bra. My daughter asked if she could join in. I told her NO HOW NOW WAY. She said what every teen tells there parents "All the girls are doing it". I still told her NO. I know how important it is for teens not to feel different but this fad is WAY OVER THE LINE. This will be somewhat long, sorry in advance. I recently turned 18, started uni and got my license. I needed a car as my uni is too far to walk to, and if you live in Kuwait, a car is a must. A little backstory, both my parents are pretty terrible at parenting, they got divorced before I was born and made it their mission to make me hate one another by constantly telling me bad stuff about the other, they got me involved in their business regarding child support and legal matters that shouldn't have been my business to begin with. I'm not sure where to go so I decided to ask here because it seem to like the most logical way and I could stay anonymous. Let me just start off by saying I know I'm not the best but I do know what's right from wrong and I just can't tell where I went wrong here. I'm 19 and my younger sister is 17. We're both really close, but sometimes I get jealous of her. I don't want to be jealous of her and don't want to hold her back. For example, she just got her SAT scores back today and she got a really high score (98 percentile). She is probably going to get into all of the colleges she applied for. She applied to the same colleges that I did when I was her age and I didn't get into some of the ones I wanted to. I want her to choose the college that I'm at now, but I know that she can do much better. I know that she achieves these things by hard work and that I could have achieved the same things as her if I worked as hard. I don't know how she has so much willpower. I think that's the main thing I'm jealous of. Another thing I'm jealous of is that she ran her first half-marathon last weekend in a great time. I want to be able to run like that and have that kind of motivation. When she goes to college she's probably going to succeed in a lot more ways. I just feel terrible about all of this. How do I not let this bother me? It makes me nervous when she does this. She used to get downright mad, now that I am an adult it has turned into a sarcastic irritation, not downright anger. I feel nervous because I remember the days she was mad when I was a kid. I try to keep it a secret when I see my step-mother but it is hard when she senses I am like holidays. We had a class meeting for parents a few days ago but my parents couldn't make it, because of their work. Today my mom went to get her eyelashes done at one of my classmate's mom's place. The mom told her that our homeroom teacher had told everyone that my parents beat me and WHIP me if I get bad grades(not true at all). Now I'm very upset because I don't know what the others will think of me and my family ;(

Ok, so my little sister (12 years old, has ADHD, for reference) announces somehow or another every month when she's on her period. Me (her 16 year old brother) and my dad don't want to know about it, and my two younger brothers are too young to know about it, at 7 and 8. My mom has tried and failed to get her to keep it private, and to teach her to properly dispose of her hygiene products, but they lay open in the trash, which worries me cuz my brothers are 'dumpster divers', periodically fishing through for toilet paper rolls. Is there any way I can approach my sister about keeping it private, and it be effective, and is there any way to approach my mom about her disposal problems?

Question: I'm feeling very emotional?

I grew up in California then moved to Pennsylvania at age 13. Everything was fine till this major change took place. I'm not blaming this place for all my problems. But it sure isn't at all like home. I had the happiest memories in California. Literally I was such a happy kid. Then when I moved here I went through many obstacles. Racism, bullying ok I actually dealt with bullying in my hometown but it wasn't as serious at all. I get depressed during the winter and I do think about moving back but my family is here now. I'm 22 and the oldest of 4 my lil brother is 20 and 2 sisters one is 11 and the other is 16. My dad is 60 and mom is 50. I just don't see any other choice for me right now. I have never been able to adjust to this place at all. And honestly I can't imagine raising my own family here. But when I think about leaving I get sad. Because my family will probably look at me differently and I love them very dearly but this place just isn't where I wanna be honestly I hate it here. Also most of my family is in California/Mexico I only have a few cousins here in the northeast..

My 7 year old cousin always used to spy on me, copy me, and worshiped what I said. I was 13 at that time, even though they were kids her age.

She hates me and my other aunts even though we were nice to her. I was 14 at that time and she seemed envious of me. She didnt want me to lose weight, or have good grades. Where does such maliciousness and hatred come from? She always seems mad for a reason. Why is she so aggressive?

Question: My Dad lets me down by lying frequently, should I just stop expecting that what he says is true?

He breaks promises routinely He is otherwise a good Dad, just he has a habit of chronic fibs. Never lives up to what he says he will do, does this to my mother also.

Question: My brother will not talk to my parents for ridiculous reasons. He has also been in legal trouble, they bailed him out, can I be mad?

Can I not just be mad at him but do I have the right to be disgusted that he is treating the parents who spent thousands on his legal feas this way? Or am I being too hard on him since he is family? There was no fight or anything, he just stopped talking to them. At first they didn't hear from him and feared he was dead (10 days went by) then another sibling of mine got a hold of him so he is alive, just being a dick. So do I have the right to be mad or am I being too hard on this brother?

My sister writes poems. At least that's what she says they are. To me they are just random, unconnected words that make little sense. She recently had her first "book" published and she wants to know what I think. I love my sister. I don't want to give pat, "they are good" type of answers. what's something nice I can say to her that won't sound fake?

Question: My Dad always tells me he will do something and then his plans change (he changes his mind). Is he a liar therefore?

Often he tells me stuff I get excited about and then it is "up, never mind, plans changed". Is he a liar because of this even if his intent isn't to lie at the time he makes the promise? His plans change for trivial reasons, not emergencies like death in the family or cancer or anything like that.

My daughter for the most part is pretty mature and responsible, but has never driven more than an hour solo her 4 years of driving. These are mostly freeway miles, but I worry about her falling asleep, car troubles, bad weather (rains here alot this time of year) etc. I will feel horrible if I let her go and something bad happens, but I want her to have "adult" experiences, grow and learn. Any advice to help me feel better about this?

Question: I live out of county from CCM and took all my pre reqs at another county college. Is there a waiting list for the nursing program?

I'm a 28 year old woman and still living with my parents and younger sister. I've been job seeking since I was 17 and still couldn't land a stable job, even with qualifications in Business Administration. Anyway, about my family situation... I never visit or am visited by my extended family, and that includes cousins, aunts, uncles. It wasn't until 2010 till I found a lot of relatives in my area and interstate that I had never met. Still we don't talk online, and no visits have ever been arranged. Once my city apartment went on fire and me and my family had to live in hotels for a week, and nearly ended up on the streets. Still even when I mentioned this on Facebook, none of the relatives reacted - they seemed indifferent, if they were even listening. So now, I'm depressed that if anything happens to my parents, me and my sister will be on our own. No financial help, no emotional support (not that we ever got it anyway), and no job, it looks bad.

Question: Was it okay for her to do that?

My mother and father is divorced. Mother remarried and fater is dating.. so it was my 21st birthday.. and i took a picture of my mother, myself and my father.. and posted the images on facebook.. and my fathers girlfriend told me to remove it.. but i did not upload the pic alone.. i upload it with 150 other 21st pictures. And she specifically asked to remove the 1 only.. she did not tell me directly.. she told my father to tell me to do so .. was it correct for her to do so and what should i have done?

What I mean by this is that they literally let people walk all over them. My parents have backstabbing relatives who just mooch off them and they rarely do do anything or think about something before they do it. They blindly lend lend money to my relatives who just take the cash, aren't even grateful for it and then lie to them. My mom really loves my grandmother and she's the only person in my family that supports her financially. She think her brothers a really good guy who cares about her mother. She couldn't be more wrong. She believes everything he says even though her mother is saying something else. Now she regrets it. What's wrong is that her brother and his wife is living in my grandmothers house and they act like they own it. My uncles wife is literally the mastermind and my uncle blindly follows her.They never take care of my grandmother, like calling her to breakfast or even driving her to a nearby hospital since she's in really bad health and has to walk with a crutch. But my mom doesn't know that, my uncle and his wife act like the care whenever my mom visits so she's completely ignorant of the situation even though my grandmother tells her and she doesn't believe her anyways. My uncles wife even ignorantly said she'll never get out, sell or even let my grandmother stay in her own house!! my mother still doesn't believe it even though I tell her. She does now and she deeply regrets it. Same with my father, we own work at a store, with a contract and we have a worker that we hired. She's lazy, doesn't do anything even openly talks back at my father and he doesn't do anything about it. Even brushing it off like it's not a problem. I need a serious answer please. I want to know why my parents trust people who lie to them and cause problems for them and me at home. My money is involved too so please don't say I shouldn't stick my nose in other people's business. My parents have a bunch of arguments at home because of my relatives and sometimes I get caught in the crossfire. Let me rephrase this question why do my parents trust people who lie to them and take advantage of them and me? I would appreciate it if someone with experience in this answers. no troll comments please.

I think my dad is having a affair because he picked me up from school on monday and he went to meet with this women he said it was "business stuff" then i seen the same women come to my house after my mom was sleep at 10pm my dad was outside talking to her on top of that he always says if the house phone rings to not answer it and he'll answer it upstairs so idk i think he is maybe cheating and im kinda upset with him i wanna tell my mom but idk if i should i also want to confront my dad but idk how good of a idea that is either my dad has cheated on my mom in the past when i was a kid and i no because my mom talks about it with my aunt and i think it still bothers her so if he is cheating again she will be heart broken what do i do im only 15 so i dont want to seem like im in their business but i dont want to see my mom hurt shes been through alot

So about a year ago my husband took me on a trip to visit his family. He chatted away about his favorite cousin and how much I'd like her. Famous last words. When she found out my cat had been killed by a dog she said her one had been too but not to worry she fed it chocolate through the fence and killed it. I'm a complete animal lover and though I'm for the destruction of dangerous dogs, i believe it should be done humanely by a vet. Anyone who intentionally harms an animal with malicious intent is beyond evil and someone I'd stay the hell away from. My husband knows this but he keeps trying to convince me she's a good person and that if i forgot about the dog I'd like her. I don't want my kid near this psycho but we need to visit his Nana who lives there. Ideas?

I just got back from dropping my daughter off at school. Since it was warm out and I did not get out of my car and came right back home I drove barefoot and did not bring my shoes.

Question: My mother is always sarcastic and irritated when she senses I might be seeing my step-mother, how do I get over this?

How do I not let this bother me? It makes me nervous when she does this. She used to get downright mad, now that I am an adult it has turned into a sarcastic irritation, not downright anger. I feel nervous because I remember the days she was mad when I was a kid. I try to keep it a secret when I see my step-mother but it is hard when she senses I am like holidays. She especially resents that I still see her after my Dad's death (my Dad died in 2012). I know I can't change my mother's bitterness and jealousy but how can I change mine so I don't feel so nervous when she roles her eyes or makes these sarcastic comments? It is like I know the anger boiling inside her (my mother). My step-mother supposedly doesn't like my mother but she does not bring me into it so I don't feel nervous or anything. My mother resents I am nice to someone who dislikes her (a friend tipped my mother off my step-mother's sister said my step-mother doesn't care for my Mom, all 3rd hand gossip).
