I'm part of a volunteer book club and we are always looking for people who want to go around and tell stories to nursing home residents. One member stopped coming to our weekly meetings and didn't show up as promised to one of the nursing homes. They were expecting him and then said our services were no longer required. He said something came up and never came back for 6 months. Meanwhile, I saw pictures of him at another book club on the same night.  Suddenly, I received 2 emails from a couple of people who said they heard about the club from him and want to join us. I didn't turn them down and invited them but am not thrilled that he spread the word as I just don't trust him in any way.  Also, he now emailed me saying how he recommended them to me and has more people interested. He wants to return after New Years. Frankly, I don't want him as I can't trust him. But, I feel like he's got me over a barrel because he recommended people.  What should I do? So one day this girl was being really nice to me, so I began to open up to her, which I normally wouldn't do. So I'm trying to be nice because she was nice to me first. And then she started making fun of my phonics saying I sounded like a robot. I know certain things you're not supposed to take too personally, but it really got to me, and I really felt offended. I know I shouldn't but my pride is getting the worst of me. And I really don't know what I'm asking, I guess why are people so hurtful? I'm starting to think she was never really my friend if it comes that easy for her to offend me.

Okay a friend wanted to make a bet with me and he said "winner gets x" and my response was "I ain't going this far but I'll still beat you" is that self explanatory. Did I make myself clear that I didn't agree with him and I wasn't going through with the bet 

One of my closest friends happens to be gay, and that's never gotten in the way of our relationship before. I'm not homophobic, and as long as we have fun and make each other better people by being friends that's all I look for. However, he recently stopped answering my texts and deleted me on Snapchat. I emailed him and asked him what the problem was and he said his boyfriend (who he's had for a year) was uncomfortable with him hanging around another guy. I've established with his boyfriend that I'm not gay and won't go after my friend romantically but he still doesn't want us hanging around each other.

So I was 95% sure that my friend read my diary. I then confronted her about it, and she said that she didn't, and that she wouldn't betray my trust like that. I cautiously believed her. But to "back up" her this statement, she then added that she didn't know I had one, which is a complete lie. I've talked to her about it many times before and I know for a fact that she knows about it. So I'm thinking that she was lying to me. Do I confront her about it again, to try to get the truth out of her? Or do you think she'll still persist? I don't want to lose our friendship by being aggressive, either. I can't sleep at night because she's one of my closest friends and I keep wondering what to do, it's bothering me so much. It's bothering more that she's lying than that she actually read my diary, at this point.Any words are appreciated!!

So I m transgender (female to Male) and I m not out to my family and like my two friends one of them being her and her mom is super chill and nice so I asked if she could buy the binder and I pay her back her mom AGREED so I was super excited and when the weekend came we were talking and I got sick and wouldn t be better till Tusday (it was a Sunday night) and she got mad at me saying " what the hell I promised my mom the money would be here by Monday you need to get it to me asap as in Monday" and I was sick so I told her I was sick and she flipped and said this " MY MOM DOESN T MAKE ANYTHING AND SHE COULD VE SAID NO TO IT AND SHE WORKS SO HARD" and I wrote back (this was texting" " could I put it in a envelope and like drop it outside or something like I get it I totally understand your mom works some hard hours trying to keep my cool but was already crying because her and our other bestfriend was the first real like girls to get me out of my comfort zone and she just kept yelling/Texting how she promised her mom that money and it was just all to much so I turned off my phone and my light and anything that was makeing noise and just sat there blankly and then then when I finally turned my phone on she stopped but my other bestfriend told me to calm down as if I was the one yelling and this name me even sadder so I stopped looking at my phone and wrote letters to her mom and her and keep in mind she sometimes will stop talking to me for no reason so please help please......

So I joined a private school for hs. Starting freshmen year I met this girl and she lemme join her group. she then became more attached to me and relied on me for her mental health problems but also managed to make me feel like I was the reason she would pretend to hurt herself. She would tell me she would think about killing herself because she had lost her other friends and that I was her only hope and so I felt extremely responsible for her suicidal tendencies. At the end of freshmen year it was constant anger from her and I couldn't handle it. I Stayed home from school often for the last semester and only came for finals. I told the office all the info and they talked to both our parents and the school came to the conclusion that there's nothing they could do because of lack of proof. This girl had a way of manipulating where she'd only tell me this horrible stuff irl so she wouldn't leave a trace and I hated it. I left the school for soph year which is where I am right now. I'm happy with this school but I'm not doing well academically compared to how I did in the private school, so I have to make a decision on what to do from here,  I think I'm going back to the private school but here's my question, how would I deal with her being there for junior year? there's only 22 people in our class. She's friends with all my friends and it's really hard to think about. How would I deal with her being there without making any contact at all? The whole school is about 100 people

I could tell there was something there. and then we became friends and it hurt neither him or her told me. Why? By a thing I mean I could feel something, so I asked and found out they liked eachother. Then I got a feeling, found out they got physical. and we are all best friends now. and it just makes me so umcomfortable, that I got married made her my friend and I didnt know anything.

What is the difference between having fixations and having obsessions? 

Me and my friends came across this blind guy and his friend with serrated teeth. One of my friends is blind in one eye and thought that this guy was gesturing rudely to us. So he told me and my girlfriend to close our eyes because he didn't want us to see what he was about to do. So while I had my eyes closed I could only hear them as they presumably had a fight and I heard my friend fall in some water and start grunting and I asked him if I could open my eyes and he said that the other guy's eyes were still on and that he didn't want us to see them before passing out in the water. His friend with the serrated teeth said that was dangerous for him to use his eyes and told him that they should go before someone else got hurt. My friend has been in a coma for ten days straight and hasn't woken up. What happened? I was also smoking a cigarette while this happened and the blind guy was coughing.

What should I do about this?

He introduce his friend to his parents, but he doesn't want you to meet with his parents. Moreover, he doesn't have meal at restaurant etc...together with you. You cut tie with him?

I used to communicate with them often and it's like I don't depend on them as much for anything. 

my friend's birthday is near the end of the month (almost christmas day) and i wanna write them a little letter in hopes of us getting closer but currently we're not that close and i would like to know if calling them my "Christmas present" is weird

So basically I'm looking for a house with a couple of friends of mine. I have two offers, from two different groups of friends. The group I said I would love with originally consists of a couple people I'm close with, and two people I don't know too well but I've met before and I like them. This group, let's say group A, wants a house. Now, group B consists of two of my really good friends and another good friend of mine, and they want an apartment, which I would prefer. I would honestly rather live with group B, but I already told group A I'm down to live with them because I got my offer from group B later. What do I do? Do I stay with group A or do I go with group B?

Ok so i have this issue with my friend. It all started when she got me this gig to make some money, however when i asked her twice where the place was, she failed to tell me because she was partying with her friend! So I put my Alarm at 7am and went to sleep with the hopes that she would answer because she never answers phone calls. So I ended up not going because i never knew where the place was so she got mad because i made her look bad! A couples days later, she posted 3 posts basically calling me ungrateful and that i ****** up and to never text her again so that's what i did because the last thing i need is drama. What should i do?

I'm a lot younger then my boyfriend, just some more info. Anyways he hates most of my friends. I don't know why cause they never do anything wrong, they make me happy and we have good times.. I think it might be because he's jealous but he won't ever admit that. I ask him about it, why he hates a specific one, but he never gives me an answer. It's fine if hes jealous I just wish he'd admit it. What should I do? and is it stupid that he hates my friend for no reason?

Okay, that's a little misleading. The bully spoken of in my "what should i do" question won't quit and tomorrow is Monday, meaning I need a way to combat him. I told him that people make friends in different places and that didn't work- so now I've got comebacks lined up (might as well defend myself, right?) and I can't prove that my friends exist. I'm not necessarily going to try- he won't hear my side, and he's a piece of **** who doesn't deserve my time- but he's in all of my classes but the first two so I'm practically stuck with him all day. Again, not actually going to try and prove to him that they're real, but for future reference, how would one go about it?
