So I've been estranged from my mother for about twenty years. My parents divorced when I was young and I haven't seen her sense. Her sister and my father have told me that she was a hooker, a drug addict, and a con artist but I want to believe people can change. She worries that my boyfriend is looking for a green card. My mom and dad love each other but they have marital issues. However, we spend time at their home often. When my boyfriend told my dad last night about the ceremony, my dad said I was being manipulated and I don't know anything about him and it was a mistake.  My parents love my boyfriend and enjoys his company. However, it's a different situation now. I don't understand. Now my dad is saying bad things. We just celebrated Thanksgiving together as a family and everyone had a great time. What to do?

For my bday I was just given a card by my mom. I told my sis that I got a pretty card and guess my parents were short on money this year. She called me to tell me that mom and dad sent her money on her bday, and I got upset about it and yelled at my parents for not treating us the same and showing impartiality. My mom and dad ignored me and my sister said since you yelled at them over this I'm not talking to you. Maybe mom and dad feels closer to me than you and so they gave me more? I am mad at my parents and my sister for her uppity attitude. Btw, I never did anything to make my parents treat me like this at least not that I know of anyway? Me and my friend are both 13 year old girls, we wanted to go out downtown for the day, eat, walk around, and skate board. I asked my mom and she said yeah but my friends mom said no because she thinks we are gonna get kidnapped. We know the basic rules like; don't get in a strangers car, don't take food or drinks from strangers, don't let anyone grab you, etc. Her mom still thinks we're gonna get kidnapped and says no again, I said I'll take pepper spray, a pocket knife, or both. Still a no. We show her an article saying that the chance of getting kidnapped by a stranger are 1 in 300,000 and you're more likely to choke on food to death than get kidnapped. Still a no. We've tried everything and it's already almost 1pm. We want to make the most out of the day since it's our last day of fall break. Any other ways that'll seal the deal and let us get on with our day?

If you ask anyone to describe my mother in law Jill, they most probably would say "beautiful". If someone ask me to describe Jill, I would say she is the best mother in law any guy can have. She is always there if my wife and I need help with anything and she is the nicest person you will ever meet. One day at work, she came by to ride home with me. I introduced her to some of my co workers. The next day these co workers asked me if she was married. I told then no. They ask me if I would fix them up with a date with Jill. I told them someone as beautiful as Jill did not need her son in laws help getting dates. She can get all the dates she wants without anyone's help. My co workers then ask me if I would bring her to the bonus day party they were having after work next week so they could get to know her better. I don't know if I should do that. They would enjoy the party more if she was there as she is really a fun person to be around. Do you think a woman would be interested in guys that are a least 10 years younger than she is? Should I stay out or her love life and ignore their request even if there are some real great guys that want to get to know her better? What should I do?

I have two precious step children. They are ages 3 & 6. I have known them about 2 years and been married to their dad for 6 months. On the weekends, we carry them home to their moms and her husbands house. My husband and I both go inside and interact with them. The kids are very loving to me and we have a great relationship, but something about when I try to hug them bye or have my arms out (mainly at their moms), they don't want to. They always want to hug their dad when I try to. They are sometimes like that at our house as well. They say they love me and hug me all the time at our house. Should it hurt or bother me when they're like that at their moms? Does it mean anything? And should I just hug them at my house and not their moms? Any advice? 

My mother calls her a narcissistic mother. She has a daughter she hates and a daughter she worships and adores. Her son lives with his father, her ex, and she likes him okay but he is not the amazing special one or the hated evil one, rather he is just good and kind of ignored. So is this unheard of or are there a fair number of cases of mothers turning on their own children? All my aunt's children are adults (the son who lives with his Dad is very disabled by severe learning disabilities and autism).

They're always telling me about their YouTube channel is going to make big money someday and I need to invest in computers.  Then they'll tell me they can make money by selling video game money? They make fake money in a video gave and sell it for real money? Acting like they're going to help need retire from trick driving someday... meanwhile,  the house it's a mess, every time I want Netflix time with my family,  they've already seen everything... just how much profit can one expect from YouTube and video games? I'm posting this question while doing the laundry.  My whole family is glued to their electronics at the moment.  I fell so sick about it that I feel guilty just using my phone to post this question.  Should I put an end to their business plans now,  or have a little faith?

I was at a restaurant waiting to be seated when my sister's ex husband Sam walked in. He saw me and came over and give me a hug. We had a brief conversation and he asked me to join him for dinner as his guest. He asked how long it would be before we could be seated and they told him 45 minutes to an hour. He suggested we go someplace where we could be seated sooner. We went across the street to Ruth Chris steak house restaurant. We were seated immediately. When I saw the menu I knew why there was not a wait to be seated. The CHEAPEST item on the menu was $50. Sam saw my discomfort and said ignore the price. Order what you want and I did. It was the BEST meal I ever had in my life. I thought it might be awkward having dinner with my sister's ex husband but it wasn't. We had a great meal, great conversation, and a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. As we were leaving it just slipped out of my mouth. I said this was a lot of fun, can we do it again some time. He said call me any time. When I got home, Oh My God, I realized what I had done. I had asked him for a date sometime in the future. What was I thinking? Should I tell my sister and ask her if she is OK with it. If not, should I forget the whole thing. She doesn't tell me who she dates so should I tell her who I date. As you can see I am REALLY CONFUSED about what I should do. Please advice me. Thanks.

My baby's father showed me a video of him punching his baby's mom in the head then apologizing to her this morning. She  that she didn't want nothing else to do with him because he punched her in front of their 7 month old son. He said THAT she made him do it but he didn't mean to. Which she did deserve it.  Will he hit me next? I never did anything to him...shes the only one that has the smart mouth. 

Is it weird that I can remember being bathed as a kid by my mom, and I even remember how she would wash my penis at the end of the bath saying "Let's wash your dinky."  I was about 6 years old I think. 

I'm stressing out because last year my dad did my taxes for me without my kowledge and never truly explained to me how exactly it works. I am a dependent living with my mom and I did a couple of college classes. I worked full time for like six months out of the year. I have Basicly no savings and I'm really scared that I'm going to pay a lot of money that I don't have. My mother hasn't told me anything either and keeps saying you'll find out what happens when it happens. HELP!

I'm 16 right now, don't know If I should tell my mom about this huge issue that has been going on. You see, when I was 14 my parents got divorced. I was really lonely and felt helpless because of it. I didn't really think I was the reason for it I just think my mom fell outta love, but that's not the point.  When I was 13 they started having troubles. My dad started drinking pretty bad and we did some sexual stuff, I did but I didn't know what I was doing. I've never told my mom about the stuff that happened, cause other then those couple times my dad is a completely normal father. I'm 16 now like I said, nothing like that happens between us but I still think about it sometimes. Should I tell my mom? I don't want him to get in trouble I don't think he deserves it, everyone in my family was going through a hard time and he was drinking a lot (he doesn't drink anymore). Is this really serious or can we get past this?

 Im 29 years old I just broke up with my (38) year old girl and still in doubt that  Just within a month or so my girl started to show massive rage by just saying she is tired and wants to go home. However, this happened to me several more times. Eventually I confronted her and she told me that I seemed to contact my mother and family too much and felt like I'm being too dependent on them as a grown man.I have told her my hardships in the past and it is the reason why I had to take care of my mother by living with me since my father passed away early and the financial issues that we all went through. Finally, she also said she is very concerned that my family is too harsh on me and that she didn't understand the fact that I had to take care of my mom when my sister is also their. She also mentioned how my mom seems financially very irresponsible and that my mother failed to raise me. Every time I tried to question what was exactly wrong with my family she just says they were horrible to her in such away and didn't have a clear reason. I decided I had enough and told her its over. Afterward, my ex-girl friend took all the gifts back she gave me and even though the message was clear she continually attends to the church community that I have Invited her not too long ago (when we were great she refused to come because she was too lazy) I still feel guilty for leaving her and I want to know If I did the right thing.

im 16 and have had bad acne so i started using acne medicine cream and ive been using it for a couple days and my acne is starting to go away however my face is extremely dry and irritated and red and even white under my eyes and it hurts badly so i have to put lotion on every few hours which stings a lot at first but stops the dryness pain, why is this happening? i stopped using acne medicine a few days ago because of the pain but my face is just so dry and painful i hate it

My family has horrible genes and I live everyday in fear of gaining them. All of my family is obese and many have diabetes. COPD, Cancer, and a plethora of mental issues are only a generation behind me. I hate my mom's voice and hair, and acne is prevalent through our family. Most people in their 50's are still dealing with it! Even the non-physical traits I try to avoid. I know I sound really harsh, but I just don't want to be like anyone in my family.  I don't want to be better, I just want to be separate. I love my family, but they've had some bad actions that led to their genes. I had an abusive alcoholic for a grandfather, which caused family dysfunction on my mom's side. My dad's side has gamblers and also they never really care about anything.

Recently,, my patience for my mother has diminished and my mom continues egg me on. She starts petty arguments and threatens to hit me on a regular basis. At one point she smacked me on the head and I pushed her back and slapped her. I told her I wasn't putting up with her abuse and that if she hits me I WILL hit her back. I feel satisfied now but i'm wondering if I will regret it later. Am I in the wrong? I felt like I needed to mention that I am female & 14.

My older sister has always been so mean, but only to me. She has acted very sweet and involved in my little sisters' lives, but hates me. Her tone drastically changes when she talks to me, almost like a dog barking. She always criticizes me for every little thing I do (e.g. "STOP BREATHING LIKE THAT", or when she saw me take a Snapchat minding my own business she said to me "ugh. You are SO into yourself."). She's so mean that I can't be around my family anymore because no one sticks up for me. I mind my own business but she constantly finds a way to yell at me and put me down.  Note: this has been going on for YEARS, and I think it is jealousy but she is 26 years old. She's not mature I think there is something actually wrong with her. Please help I'm about to lose my whole family bc I can't be around her.

My entire family for the last 40 years is nothing but a tangled mess of screwing everyone, having kids, drugs, prison, drama, fights, and BS. I don't have the mental energy to deal with them anymore. I just wish they weren't my family. 

So far I send it to every person he went to college with, should I mail it to every person in his house?  I called his family 10 years after, but the woman on the phone lied they moved out, threatened me with police, screamed and insulted me instead of taking responsability. Now the scumbag disconected the phoneline so that I couldn't complain about his behaviour to hus family.

So im 15 and my whole life I've had depression but it was manageable and didn't come that often unitl around 3 years ago when one of my family members caught me having sex  with a guy my relationships with all my family changed for the worse I had zero freedom no cell phone for a year and monitored my PlayStation no of them trust me since then they have caught me 2 more times and as a result i have basically no freedom at all no technology other than a TV until I turn 18 and zero trust even tho I told them I changed right now I'm extremely misserable and pretty much depressed every day to the point where I think about how better off the world would be without me the only reason I havent gone through with it is because I'm scared of what happens after I die anyway I asked my family could I leave, live with my dad but my mom won't let me because of his financial situation, put up for adoption, or stay at a group home I lived in before, I even thought of emancipation but I have no job I live in a nice house and I don't think the judge would side with me what do you guys suggest I do because I'm extremely misserable and honestly I hate my life and wish it would go back to before 3 years ago

I'm 16 and nearing 240 pounds. I'm well aware of the state of my body, but, my parents act as if 1) I'm unaware and 2) I don't catch on to what, " Maybe a family walk would be nice" really means. This morning my parents both said, " I'm definitely going on lockdown until Christmas", I lost it, told them to back off, leave me alone, said I have it handled. On one hand, I'm happy that I spoke up, but I'm also angry that they allowed me to get like this. I understand they just don't want me to get heavy. How/Should I apologize?

I just got home from picking up my younger brother at his friends house. Since it was warm out and I did not have to get out of my car and was only gone for 15 minutes I just drove my car in my bare feet and left my shoes at home.
