I have just decided to invite a few close friends, just something simple. Then dinner afterwards. Between 10-20 people (that includes photographer, wedding planner, us, guests and thier children). I was thinking of maybe just invitig family around for a bbq when we return from out honeymoon.

I would like to have 2 wedding receptions. The thought of having both sides of my family in the same room together makes me feel sick (my parents split up when i was a baby and their has been nothing but hostility ever since) i was thinking of having everyone at the ceremony together. Then having everyone, friends and family from both sides , have afternoon/high tea. i am assuming it would go for about an hour? Then later in the evening i could go for dinner with close friends?

The place we are wanting to go to is expensive however ($150-$200 for a full course meal). How would you word this on a wedding invitation?
