Question: Why is my friend Dorian such an a**hole? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 02:37 PM PDT Okay, so I have been tight with my best friend Dorian for several years, but he is becoming more of an a**hole over time. Now he has taken it way too far. He has been exploring the Atlantic Ocean and is trying to destroy the world. He is planning on destroying the Bahamas and Florida for no reason. I know me and Dorian got into an argument before, but I never expect him to come out and attack me and destroy the whole state of Florida. My ex girlfriend Irma did this a couple of years ago, and I don't want my best friend Dorian to go down that same path. Can anyone try and give me suggestions on how I can help my friend Dorian before it's too late? |

Posted: 30 Aug 2019 12:31 PM PDT I was put into an unimaginably terrible situation where about 5 of my friends attacked me saying I did something wrong (they all had separate issues, not one, but they all blamed it on one thing about myself). I had a bad reaction initially of course and wasn't given the chance to tell them what I truly think of this situation. They also handled it terribly, by all ganging up on me, calling me a liar, accusing me etc. I thought about it a lot and I think the whole thing was caused by a lack of communication and a misunderstanding that never had to be made this big. Before I could get a word in, they all left me because they are so stuck on what they believe is the truth. Can I blame myself for not reacting the best in that situation, and should I clear up the misunderstanding even though I'm positive they won't want to hear it and continue living their lives like I'm a bad guy? Or should I move on with a bigger lesson in mind? |
Question: I need help with this? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 12:12 PM PDT when you ask your best friend if they want to hang out sometime. Is it rude if they say I don't see why not |
Question: Watching a show with someone who doesnt watch but reads spoilers? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 11:07 AM PDT I hate spoilers. Ive been watching this show thanks to my sister since its first season. At first it was something she forced me to watch, then i grew to love it. I'm binging the latest season now, still hasnt finished, but a friend of mines is interested in the show. At least for conversation sake. I told him I'd share my streaming password so he can watch it with me, but he's already seen how it ends thanks to the internet. Even worst is that he keeps trying to ruin it for me when i say i dont want to know. "Lemme give you a hint". I dont mean to sound mean, but i find it so annoying. I just wanna watch it alone now, but his feelings get hurt, then he does it again. I think maybe by accident sometimes💀. Im thinking I'm just gonna watch it first alone, finish the season. Then when we watch it together I'd just act surprised, but why do ppl do that?? Be interested in watching something but then watch the spoilers to see how it ends?? |
Question: Is he just being nice? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 10:58 AM PDT I met a guy at a school party and we chatted for a bit. Now whenever he sees me at school he always says hi and he tried to talk to me once about school. He talked to me last week, and I was surprised that he remembered my name since we last met was few months ago and we only talked for few minutes. Yesterday, I was at the library reading and when I looked up I noticed he was looking at me, so he waved and smiled. Is he trying to be friendly or is he interested? |
Question: My friend was raped? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 10:04 AM PDT my friend was raped and she confided this in me but she confided this in her old friends they took it to the police and she denied it as it was someone close to the family and she thinks it was a one time thing. How do I go about getting her help |

Question: What do you do when your drink at restaurants and want to drive home? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 09:28 AM PDT I live in Louisville Kentucky, drinking at restaurants and driving home, is that an ideal thing to do? |
Question: Is it okay to show some skin on a date? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:46 AM PDT I'm going out to dinner with this guy that I've hung out with before previously. I was thinking of wearing jeans with a black bodysuit that is backless! I'm normally more on the "conservative" side when it comes to fashion BUT I wanna switch it up a little bit! Would this be okay to wear? |
Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:32 AM PDT He's a guy and I'm a guy. And I wanted to bring it to him and his family |
Question: How to make new friends in freshman year? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:22 AM PDT my first day is next tuesday and i'd like to make some new friends. what are some do's and don'ts so i don't look like a weird person ? |
Posted: 30 Aug 2019 07:56 AM PDT I wanted to drop off a fruit platter for him and his family ( mom and dad ) from my family. And leave a card on it too. Tell me what you think, thank you |
Posted: 30 Aug 2019 07:00 AM PDT Also, keep in mind that he and his friend are from two financially opposite backgrounds: the guy who resembles handsome celebrities, is an only child who came from an upper-middle class household (lived in a 3-bedroom house). His mother was a legal administrator. The possibly envious friend comes from a middle class household (lived in 2-bedroom apartment). His mother was a middle school teacher. Ironically, both of these guys' living arrangements were reversed when they moved out of their moms' pads: the "handsome" man bought a 1-bedroom apartment in an upscale neighborhood, and the "envious" friend bought a condo. I know what you're thinking -- "How could he be jealous?" Well, apparently he is resentful towards the "handsome" man for getting his own place while having dropped out of college. To top it off, he now has a well-paying job in an office instead of "flipping burgers." So, the "envious" friend basically "struggled" in comparison, and he seems to not like when someone gets things handed to him, especially someone who grew up in a bigger house and is an only child. Could that be why he told his "handsome" friend that he looks like an ugly celebrity? FYI, the two are friends, but not close enough to insult each other out of terms of endearment. Therefore, the "ugly celebrity" riff was definitely not out of love. |
Question: When is someone isn't worth your time? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 05:34 AM PDT Like if someone is being mean to you, is mad at you, someone is a bad friend to you, someone negative, or even a toxic friend. |
Question: Why did my friend unfollow me on Instagram? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 04:39 AM PDT This might sound super petty, but I feel really upset, confused, and even a little angry. I thought this girl and I were friends. Not best friends, but close enough to be considered friends. We've known each other since for around four years. I just got an Instagram, and I requested to follow her. She accepted and followed me back. However, the next day, she unfollowed me. What bothers me even more is that she follows my older sister, and my older sister posted something with her friends (after she had unfollowed me) and she liked the post. What should I do? I was thinking of unfollowing her and requesting to follow her again, but I don't want to be petty or b*tchy. |
Question: I don’t understand what I want from life? What do I do? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 03:27 AM PDT Maybe a good family life is what I'm looking for and Rn my family is a mess. Everyone's fighting all the time, we're all not even in the same city. I had to leave my friends because I moved to a new place. I wish things were easier. And my college is starting so I'm stressing over that too. Pray for me. Please. I hope things would get better. |
Question: Why does she hate us? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 03:14 AM PDT Me and my partner rented a room out to a friend of ours. It wasn't working out as she went to bed later than us, couldn't clean at weekends as she worked so would only clean through the week and sometimes went for the occasional night out. We asked her to move out, preferably as soon as possible. She didn't speak to us and moved out without telling us or paying the rent. Now I have found out she has been telling people we aren't nice, didn't offer her much time to find a new place and could have screwed up her education with the short notice we give her. We were more than kind by not telling her through Facebook by speaking to her in person and letting her know it was not personal. |
Question: How do I stop being such a weirdo? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 12:26 AM PDT I feel like such a weirdo. I don't know how to have a normal conversation with people. I say like all the time and I stutter and I can't make eye contact. I want to talk and I want to have friends but I get so anxious. I just want fun memories and "glory days". I always feel like people are annoyed with me or think Im weird or have mental problems or something and it turns into a self fulfilling prophecy. I have no friends at all. I'm so lonely. I feel like I'm just wasting my life. I don't see the point. I always imagined I'd have at least one close friend and we could have a really beautiful poetic friendship and we'd die for each other and all of that **** and now I don't even ******* talk. I've been trying to get better and I have been talking but I feel like it's only made it worse. I always feel like everyone is better than me and everyone else can just tell that there's something wrong with me. I don't know how they do it. I don't know what it feels like to be normal. I don't know how to stop caring what people think. I'd do anything for friends I swear to god. I don't want to lose my individuality because I'd rather die alone than be one of those ******* empty emotionless robots just going through the motions and falling in line and doing what they're told, but sometimes I think that's the only way I'll have a friend. Maybe the whole concept of friendship died with social media (which I refuse to get) I don't know, I'm just so sad and lonely. |
Question: How do I talk to my roommate about cleanliness? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 10:50 PM PDT This is kind of a two parter 1) so this is our third year living together in a dorm situation. In the past I've just left it be since how she keeps her things is really none of my business in my opinion. But since we're in a room sharing situation it has progressively gotten worse. The floor on her side of the room was sticky yesterday when I walked over in my bare feet. Her coffee pot has a small puddle accumulating underneath it. She leaves soda bottles out. She has a frozen pizza in my fridge that I am genuinely concerned is going to go bad since it's been in there so long. Additionally I am pretty sure I am the only one who has ever bought trash bags, disinfectant, swiffer pads, etc 2) we both have not super duper hygiene habits. We are both mentally ill. So I have in the past tried to not get on her case since I am at times just as bad. However! Even on my worse days I wear mens deodorant. She uses Teen Spirit & it is not effective. Plus she has a chronic condition that one of the possible side effects is chronic BO. So I don't want to be a dick about something she can't control but when I came home today i opened the door & was hit all at once by what our home smells like & unfortunately it is not coconut vanilla. If it were me I'd want someone who cares about me to tell me. So I have no clue how to talk to her about any of this. I don't know if I should break it up into several short awkward conversations or have one serious sit down heart to heart. |
Question: Did I make a mistake by sharing this information with my boyfriend? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 10:40 PM PDT We've been dating for 3 months. Before we started dating I was single for nearly 3 years. We get along great. I broke up with my ex 3 years ago. He started dating a new girl a year or so later and she stalked me. She came into my work, she sent me harassing messages etc. This was all unfounded, I'm not a threat to her, never talked to her, never talked to my ex. She had no reason to contact me at all or to come into my work. The new guy I'm in a relationship with happens to live in the same small town as my ex and his new lady. It's about 25 min from where I live. He lives downtown in a nice apartment near a lot of shops and restaurants.I spend a lot of time with him on our days off and we've been to coffee shops and a couple of restaurants. My ex's new girlfriend sent me a message and said "stay out of my town" I'm 30 so I'm not really used to this kind of drama since this kind of thing hasn't happened to me in 8-10 years. Most women my age don't do stuff like this. I showed my new boyfriend the message and a photo of the girl on her instagram and said to him that she was trying to start drama with me so if we saw her anywhere in town when hanging out to just ignore her. I was worried she might make a scene or try to start a fight with me.She's 21 and my ex is 34. So she's at the age of internet drama, threats, all that lame stuff. My current boyfriend seemed irritated with me and didn't seem sympathetic. did I make a mistake bringing it up? |
Question: What does it mean when you are the best of the best? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 09:59 PM PDT someone told me "you are the best of the best" what do they mean by it? |
Posted: 29 Aug 2019 09:41 PM PDT My so called friends never invite anywhere. They all invite each other to their houses and to casinos, but never me. Yet they still say they're friends with me. Well I finally called them out and they felt bad so they invited me the next time they did something. Since then I haven't been invited anywhere again. It's hard for me to find new friends because I'm a shy person. What should I do? |
Question: Ex friend keeps talking badly about me to those new people i'm trying to befriend? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 09:04 PM PDT This ex friend was a very bad friend to me. I kept her around because at the time I had such low esteem that I thought, this friend is better than no friends. When I say she was horrible she was. I left her behind 7 years ago. We live in the same environment. When ever she hears or sees that I'm talking to someone new, she moves in quick to talk badly about me. No matter how I get off with a good start with these people, they tend to believe her because she's good at manipulating others and paints a happy life when it's not so people hold her to a believable stand. How do I stop others believing her. I don't want to have to defend myself by giving bullets of points of how she's the horrible one and its not me. I feel like doing that makes me look catty. I'm not interested in bashing my ex friend, I just want her to leave me alone and stop talking badly about me and spreading false rumors. |
Question: Why can’t I connect with others? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 08:48 PM PDT Why do I have so many problems connecting with people, I try talking I try listening but I just can't seem to connect. I just want friends. |
Question: Should I text my best friend or wait for her to text me? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 08:42 PM PDT My best friend has a new boyfriend and it seems like she doesn't care if we are friends or not. She recently lied to me that she couldn't do something for me because her dad wouldn't let her. I found out she actually was hanging out with her boyfriend. I texted her and confronted her and she didn't answer. Then right after this she found out someone died and had to fly home and go to their funeral. She is commenting and liking stuff on Instagram like she's doing okay. She still hasn't texted me. Should I text her confronting her about the lie while she's at home dealing with a funeral? Text her that i hope she's okay? Or just wait until she texts me? I just feel like she never tries to reach out anymore. |

Question: So is this proof about us controlling ourself and knowing without technology? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 08:05 PM PDT Think about it, the part of your brain that sees is in your control and it has to be in your control in order to see, everything you can do is in your control and has to be in your control and if it wasn't then you wouldn't exist. Also mind control technology is real and it is easy to use today but don't be afraid right now because if you was under control by mind controlling technology then you would know because your whole brain that is part of you is still under your control. |

Posted: 29 Aug 2019 02:35 PM PDT I apologize for all the info but plz read: So I've heard (I'm a guy btw) that apparently using the "wave" feature on facebook/messenger is considered "cringy." However I wave to my friends on facebook all the time and it hasn't been an issue so far. It's not like I go around just waving at random people that I don't know or haven't seen in many years, I just wave periodically at friends as a way of saying hi and they often wave back and it's no problem. However today I waved to one of my other guy friends who proceeded to get highly annoyed, saying "waving is a bad start" and "anyone will tell you that waving is serious cringe". He also said apparently not to wave to women either as that's also considered cringy. In all, his attitude seemed to be that something as basic as waving is considered uncool or inappropriate. So my question is, is using the wave feature on facebook, especially among guys considered inappropriate or "wrong"? I've been using FB for a while and have never heard of it being an issue. I also get waves from friends and never think anything of it, but is there some sort of unspoken rule that I'm maybe not aware of that it's just something that's considered inappropriate among guy friends? Or does it sound like maybe this other guy just have a personal problem with it? Any advice is appreciated thanks. |
