My Issue is that my partner (m32) will take any excuse to skip work. Anything. We both caught a cold this week, he missed 3 shifts. It wasn't that bad, i made it to all my shifts. In fact, i had to work because we couldn't afford to lose the income if I had stayed home as well. He will skip out on work if hes tired, has a stomach ache or has a runny nose. I should add that he does not work a stressful job, at all. He does not struggle with depression or anxiety I am getting sick of picking up the slack because hes "sick". We both have a cold, yet i worked my 9 hour day and did the housework and grocery shopping. He sat and played video games all day. Any attempt to start a communication with him about this is met with defensiveness. I am called a nag because i want him to go to work when hes "sick". Throughout the summer we snap chatted and had small talk, the time difference in Europe didn t help with our conversations but it was nice. He always liked my photos and viewed my stories and even responded to come of my stories. Then I came back to the states and I text him asking how his summer has been. (He told me when we met that he s a horrible tester FYI) We had a conversation for about a couple days but then he didn t reply. Now we are back at school and I said to him "We should hand out" to which he responded "Yeah Yeah I m down!" and then invited to a party at his house that he s having. I would think that since he liked me he would want to hang out one-on-one but i don t know anymore he has also been short in his text lately, but he s moving back to school so I understand his non-responsiveness... Am I overreacting or does he not like me anymore? |

Posted: 21 Aug 2019 04:59 PM PDT My bf's best friend told my bf's sister after first meeting me that he didn't like me and I didn't smile or laugh enough. That evening, an other friend kept talking about my bf's ex the whole evening, that is why I was not smiling, that girl is not friends with them now, they don't like her. My bf's sister was trying to be over protective and so I do think it had a negative impact on our relationship because she hears I'm not good for her brother. When the best friend admitted he said this to her, I told him that every time we made an effort to see him he'd ditch us while we were on the way out to meet him so he confused me. He also told us years later when we went to get a dog that it would ruin our relationship because it did to his. He was wrong, it was tough when a puppy but it made our relationship better and taught us valuable lessons. I recently won a fitness competition with money and he made negative comments like "did you even really get money, that stuff is all a scam". Sometimes he is such an excuse maker and he blames other things for his problems. Recently this best friend has yelled at my fiancé and acting like his roommate he always complains about that mistreats him. I know he's going through a tough time because he can't support him self and he is almost 40 and all his friends have someone in their life and he doesn't. Should I sit this best friend down and talk to him? How would you approach this? He is a good guy but he is an excuse maker. |
| Question: She doesn't talk to me if I don't talk to her? Posted: 21 Aug 2019 04:57 PM PDT So me and this girl that I really like have been going on dates, kissing, cuddling in bed, etc. and everything is perfect in person. She's so affectionate and loving towards me when we're face to face. But when we're not around each other, she's very cold. I have to initiate texts. She never texts me good morning, rarely calls me, and if I don't text her back, we'll go days without talking. I haven't texted her back for 4 days because I'm waiting to see if she'll text me again and ask if I'm okay or say that she misses me because if I don't hear from her I'll give her a call or something. Should I keep initiating everything and being the glue to hold things together or just let her go? |
