Question: Please help ! Parents arguing, driving me crazy? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 01:28 PM PDT Hi guys, please help me. The other day my parents argued loads. They agreed to divorce. The house was full of shouting and swearing and I'm 16. I started screaming at my dad every single thing he's done to us. He's never ever been grateful for the wife and kids he has. He always shouts at my mum in morning or me and my brother abt money etc. He prays for my mum to get cancer every morning and he'll scream it. I never ever complained to him abt anything , even when I'd be in school starving for weeks I'd never say a word. I rely on myself now I have a job. I exposed the fact that I sAw him messaging other women when I was younger out of anger which is true. I held this secret for years. I'm so physically mentally drained- now my mum and him have returned back to normal. At the time he told me "I'm a little ****", "a dumb *****" I should "**** off" and how he could "never stand me" I've lost my respect for him and can never forgive him. What shall I do? Pls help me I feel so alone and worthless |
Question: Should my parents take my little sister to a psychologist? How can I help her? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 12:48 PM PDT My sister has really bad attitude problems, and snaps at people in a really nasty way. She gets mad at everything and her anger turns really violent. Three days ago I was arguing with her and she stabbed me on the shoulder in front of my parents. We lied about what happened to the doctor. I told him I fell down while holding the fruit knife. She was crying and apologized to me. But I still think my parents should take her to a psychologist or something. My parents told me she was fine, that those are the hormones. She's 12 years old and I'm a 17 year old guy who have friends that are girls and when we where that age, they weren't violent at all. My sister is always angry. How can I help her? |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 12:09 PM PDT I have only seen him once since I was aged 3 and that was when I was eleven and my grandmother (his mother) died. She had stayed in touch with us so we went to the funeral. Our Dad was cordial but acted like we were distant 2nd cousins and not like we were his own two children. He did not hug us which I recall hurt me. He wants to reach out via Facebook and I see on his page that he has kids now and a new wife (wife #4). He has lung cancer it shows on his Facebook page. |
Question: Why does my boyfriends dad hate me and refuse to speak to me, I’ve done nothing wrong? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:38 AM PDT I've been with my boyfriend for over a year and we are expecting a baby in a couple months. I've met his dad at numerous occasions now (family events/popping over to the house) etc, probably about a handful of times. Anyways, from the first ever time that I met him he didn't even say 'hello, nice to meet you' and this was at a huge family event (a birthday party) so I was pretty uncomfortable and nervous anyways and I go to say hello to his dad and I just got nothing back. He just talked to my boyfriend as though I wasn't there stood right next to him, like I was a ghost lol Ever since then it's always been the same whenever we've run into him or been at a family event like christenings and weddings etc i just feel as though he hates me and wants nothing to do with me / doesn't give a sh*t about me. He doesn't acknowledge me or say hello, so naturally I feel as though I can't approach him and even start a conversation. I'm pregnant now too and he never once has asked how I am, or how its going, how long do i have left, I'm excited etc. The usual stuff you say. NOTHING What can I do. My due date is nearing and at this rate I won't want him anywhere near me or the baby. Im not going to want to go to family events where he's there, and I don't want that to affect mine and my daughters relationship one day either. My boyfriend just says it will get better naturally but I really don't see it happening. I want him to speak to his dad but he just says it will cause arguments. |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:36 AM PDT I have met a guy who is extremely caring and loving but is Indian. We have been together for 9 years and my parents are not happy about it. My dad keeps blaming my mom that it is her fault and that she was suppose to make sure I behave. But I think she is not. She works and takes care of the house. All my dad does is shout and blame her. |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:28 AM PDT My mom is a working woman she works and contributes in the house expenses. She does everything while all my dad does is complain and verbally torture her. No matter what the child does my mom is blamed for it. He does not wish her on her birthday nor anniversary. All he does is blame her. My dad says he is the one who just provides money and my mom is the one who has to make sure the kids do not go on the wrong track. What to do? |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:19 AM PDT I don't like my sister. |
Question: Do birthmarks determine personality? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:08 AM PDT My uncle has the same birthmark as I do. He has always been considered as 'the weird brother'. He likes weird music, and he's fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, German, and Russian. I have the same birthmark as my uncle. I'm also 'the weird brother'. I like weird music, and I'm fluent in Spanish, English, French, Hebrew, Mandarin, and Japanese. My nephew has the same birthmark as I do. He's known as 'the weird neohew'. He's 8 years old. He listen to weird music on Youtube. He's fluent in Spanish and English, and is starting to pick up Japanese from seeing me watch Japanese stuff on Youtube. All three of us with the birthmark seem to have the same personality. Do birthmarks determine personality? |
Question: I feel jealous of people's happiness and I have no self confidence? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 09:14 AM PDT I mean since I was 13, and I gained weight me and mom we used to go on vacation she would start insulting me about my weight and my smell then we would fight. Im 20 now I traveled for 6 months overseas for college but it didn t work so I came back. I can graduate on time, but I feel mad at myself. I see other people smiling and happy; I know one classmate she got married. Im still nervous and anxious sometimes so some part of me is jealous of people s happiness and I m always angry. I feel like a failure since I don t know how to be happy or have self confidence. |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 09:11 AM PDT She says things like "your so annoying" "Stop" "no one likes it when you do that" "NO ! Stop Alex" "can you be quiet please" "you better not put that on Facebook" . She is bossy and belittles. I never thought I would dislike a family member but this sister I dislike and likely always will. She is a mean and immature person that our parents spoiled cause she was the youngest and they had stresses around the time she was born. So what do I do as she abuses me so not to escalate the conflict? I am only going cause my grandmother is going and she is ailing. |
Question: How to understand this? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 08:56 AM PDT It goes way back, probably about 8 years ago, when I was a young child, like 7 years old. I was thinking lately and realized. My cousin, who was pretty, my uncle would hug and cradle her on his lap and talk to her, and giggle, and just have a grand old time. But he never made me feel pretty and held me like that. I don't have memories of being a pretty little girl or getting love from my family like I see other people getting. People only shower love and compliments to good looking girls and pretty ones. |

Question: Help, my laptop is behaving really strange? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 05:57 AM PDT first of all, even though its plugged in and the charger is not broken, its not charging. secondly, its very unresponsive. some user interfaces don't even work. most annoying of all, i can't even tab switch unless i click ctrl+tab. nothing happens if i just click on the tab in chrome. thirdly, unexpected popups occur, especially the white rectangle with black words and lines that say new, print, etc. fourthly, my flashing cursor (the thing that blinks when you type) keeps mysteriously switching places, even though i didn't move it or click any button or key. i constantly restart it and clear search history, and refresh the page, but it barely does anything. by the way, my operating system is windows. and my laptop is hp envy bang and olufsen. is it possible that there is a virus or should i replace my laptop? (note that none of the hardware is broken, and that ive had it for almost 2 yrs) thanks for your help! |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 05:51 AM PDT It would really really hurt to be the loan one left out of the grandkids but I'm scared that's going to happen since my parents are away and my two siblings don't live in the area. I would not be able to get over the hurt of feeling less than the other cousins. |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 05:37 AM PDT I leave for college next Sunday. I'm going out of state, and I'll have more own dorm. I say this because I'm only staying home temporarily. I didn't tell my parents that I'm going to sleep over at my friend's house because I didn't want them to ask me a whole bunch of questions just to say no. I'm an adult now, and I do respect my parents. I've never spent the night at a friend's house when I was a teen. Always had good grades, and for the most part, behaved good. I'm dreading going home because I know I'm in trouble, but I don't think I should be. Yeah, I didn't tell them where I was at, buy I apologized for it. I'm 18, I should be able to do what I please, reasonably. |
Question: How do I discipline this old lady? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 05:07 AM PDT So, I look after this grandmom and she's always touching my stuff, without permission and it's getting on my nerves. When I came to her house I put my coffee down (it was almost finished) just to see that she took it and washed the cup and I said "where is my coffee" and walked in the kitchen just to see that it's been washed. I said "goodness sake"... you took that without my permission. I paid $3 for that. The next day I came back to see that she's trying to "fix" the kettle. I was like "can you not touch that? It's fine": Ugh I don't know what to do |
Question: How do I get my father to stop lying to me? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 03:42 AM PDT This winter he said we would go to Washington State, now he has lied and said he might have to wait another year. This summer we were going to go there until he said "just kidding". He always lies about family activities and he always lies about making contact with someone for me. Yet I can't help but to have my hopes up that he is being truthful. How do I get him to stop lying to me? I really dislike him cause of it. Now he says we will be going to Washington State next summer, I know that is a total lie. My Mom says it is why she left him. Yet he complains about his contractor Bill being deceptive and I thought "Dad, Bill is exactly like you" and indeed the Bill guy is (I know the Bill guy a little). |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 01:28 AM PDT My grandma has been my biggest influence growing up. My grandpa is an awesome grandpa but he's an emotionally abusive husband. My grandpa was an odd kid and didn't have many friends. In high school, he met Harry who became like a brother to him. They joined the Marines and graduated college together and were the best men in each others weddings. My grandparents met because my grandma was friends with Harry's future ex-wife and they all went to college together. Harry was a very important part of our family. He was like an uncle to my dad and his brothers and he was always around when I was little. When I was five years old (14 years ago), he committed suicide. My dad told me that a year or two prior to that, my grandma had started cheating on my grandpa with Harry. She almost left my grandpa for him. My dad and his brothers told her that they did not support her leaving my grandpa for Harry and were disappointed that she chose the actions she did, although they understood that her marriage was abusive and they supported her leaving my grandpa. She ended up staying with my grandpa and telling Harry she couldn't be with him. Within the next year, Harry had killed himself because he loved my grandma and had betrayed his best friend. Long story short, I understand the circumstances of my grandparents marriage but the fact that she chose to cheat with Harry, which led to his death really makes me angry and I don't know how to deal with it as she doesn't know that I know. |
Question: How can I get my painfully shy and weird 17 year old sister to come out of her shell? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 12:36 AM PDT |
Question: What does dreaming about your deceased mother chasing you out of her house mean? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 12:35 AM PDT I keep dreaming of my recently departed mother fighting with me and trying to kick me out her house. Once, she even went so far as to stab me in my kidneys (I had pain there when I woke up, I m prone to kidney infection). She is angry and trying to kick me out of her house and telling me her husband should be there and not my brother and I. For context, in reality my mom s husband ran away from their house last year and only came back just before mom would die. My mom never saw any faults in him and waited patiently for over a year for him to return before she died. Meanwhile I ve never liked that guy and hated him more especially when I realized my mom was dying because he gave her HIV. And that he left her even after he infected her. But I m tired of dreaming of my mother yelling at me and taking his side and kicking me out. I would leave the house immediately if I could but my finances don t allow me. |
Question: Does my wife want a baby? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 12:11 AM PDT My wife says she doesn t want to have a baby for at least 3 more years. But she always tells me when she s ovulating and doesn t let us use any protection during that time. I m not sure what she wants ... She says no baby s any time soon but her actions (our actions) would make a baby. |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 12:06 AM PDT I am 16 going on 17 in April. I have known him ever since I was only 9 or 10 years old. For years he would treat me like dirt and my mom allowed it. Before they got married she asked what my brother's and i's opinions were about him and he didn't care but i said whatever makes u happy makes me happy. He ignores me, yells in my face saying he dont give a **** about my well being, is neglective towards me, yells at me saying "if you were my biological daughter i would of smacked you already". |
Posted: 17 Aug 2019 11:37 PM PDT Does it seem she wants another kid? Conversation my mom, she brought up my friend. Shes with a older guy yet when I was with an older guy how she judged me. I started to talk with my mom about how my friend said when your passed 40 how your at high risk of having a kid with down syndrome. My mom stop me right away that she didn't want to hear about it. She said I hate when people repeat but yet we always repeat things. Mom is 44 i'm 20, two younger sisters 10 & 7, not long ago I found on the computer chance of getting pregnant at 44 etc.I freaked cause I'm a nanny to my siblings & it's been a lot on me I had to move back home to help. She said she doesn't want more kids but they don't use protection. Now my mom told me she felt like I was rubbing it in her face about when your passed 40 risk having a kid. I told her how is that rubbing it in her face if I was saying if I wanted kids with someone in their 40s taking that chance for me, thats for someone that wants kids how am I rubbing that in your face for you? She said "I don't even do anything, I'm worry about myself right now. That time you went on the computer thought I wanted more kids you know when you press something on the computer and it takes you to other things. You thought I want more kids you keep rubbing it in, coming from a whole whack job place. Don't need someone controlling". told her it wasn't for her, she became nice & I'm left bothered she keeps making up excuses gets away from me not to talk about now |
Question: As a step-parent, How can I gain custody of our son from his father? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 11:16 PM PDT I am currently engaged to an amazing woman. She is still legally married but has been separated from her husband for 5 years now. Together they have a 3 year old son. The father is.... not good for him. He went through some hard times so I offered him a place to stay with us to help him get on his feet so that he could be there for his son and to be the father that kid deserves. The problem now is that his father would rather do drugs and party than to be a dad. Since we got together, with her help, I have provided everything our son needs. Financially and emotionally I have been there for him. Paying for food, diapers, clothes. Taking care of him while his mother is at work, putting him to bed every night. I have gained a love for this child and consider him my own. My question now is how can I petition the courts for fatherly rights. And how would I go about proving that his father is unfit so that I can be there for him. |
Question: Is it bad that my sister likes to sleep with me in my bed? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 10:57 PM PDT My sister is 15 years old. And I'm a man, 27 years old. We are only two. We don't have any more brothers or sisters And she likes to sleep with me in my room. She likes to sleep with me and hugs me when she does. Is that normal or is it bad? |
Posted: 17 Aug 2019 10:55 PM PDT people repeat them en masse . he wants to kill me so that when my father dies my sister gets more inheritence . it's got nothing to do with white girls at all . why do the americans not understand this ? |
Question: What to do if my sister threatens me? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 10:20 PM PDT So me and my sister got into an argument about a necklace(I know this sounds stupid and all) but that necklace meant a lot to me since it was my first gift from my boyfriend mom. In my home we have cameras everywhere and I saw her go into my room and steal it. I rushed home and confronted her about it and she said she isn't giving it back for a couple of days(she wanted to wear it for a party?) ibut every time she borrows something of mine it's either damaged and ruined when she brings it back, and the necklace my boyfriend mom bought me was expensive and I didn't appreciate my sister for stealing something that she didn't ask permission for when she couldve. Well anyways, we got into a argument where she scratched my arms everywhere and even charged up against me and threatened to beat me up and give me a black eye and how she was going to let "hood gang friends" come beat me up to show what it's like to get beat up. at this point I don't know what to do, i know she's my sister but she does not care about me or my family and I don't know if I should file a police report on her just in case if something actually does happen. |
Posted: 17 Aug 2019 09:39 PM PDT I am Someone with high Functioning Autism that cannot tolerate family members any longer so do I have the right to disown and cut off contact with them completely even though I dont have a lot of money since none of them are understanding due to none of them having high Functioning Autism like me |
Posted: 17 Aug 2019 09:06 PM PDT I am a 22 YO who lives at home with my family; my father runs an Antique business with a friend which has no documented employees. Their has never been a contract signed that obligated me to work for their business, but my parents basically force me to wake up and work at this store doing manual labor with no direct form of payment and if I ever don't want to work one day I get threats of being made homeless. I work at a different job that pays for all of my basic necessities but I work at this antique store so frequently sometimes 50+hours a week that if I made minimum wage I would make roughly 1300 a month. I can't bare to have this burden hung over my head sometimes, should I demand a clear form of payment for my services and risk being homeless or just keep doing what I'm doing and wasting time that could be spent doing more productive things. For profit business don't usually have volunteers as far as I'm aware. |
Posted: 17 Aug 2019 08:29 PM PDT just to give some details,I have 3 brothers and i had 0 sisters untill i met a girl online in 2015. shes alot older than me and she helped me with my problems. in 2016 i asked her if she would want to be brother and sister because we where close and she said yes. however 3 years later she cut contact with me in 2019 and there's nothing i can do to convince her to continue being family. i feel like this has left an emptiness inside me where im so used to having a sister that i cant live without having one. does anyone here know where i could find something like this? or would anyone here want to be my sister :) |
Question: I’m scared of growing up? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 08:26 PM PDT it's scary to me that soon im gonna have to pay bills and drive and have a house and stuff like that. and that i'll be out in the world without my parents. i don't want my parents getting old either. cause that means one day they're not gonna be here. and i won't be able to watch movies with them or make them coffee or talk to them. i just can't imagine a life without them with me. i want to be a kid again |
Posted: 17 Aug 2019 07:39 PM PDT I'm a 14 yr old boy. My sister is only 6 years old, so I assumed that she receives extra protection because she's so little. But my friend says it might be a PERMANENT thing that'll last throughout her teenage/adult years.... because shes a girl. When she was born, i felt like I got less attention. I waited for her to become a teenager so my parents will loosen up. But someone broke the news to me that age isn't the only factor. It can have to do with her being a girl, female, a daughter, etc |
Question: I don t know what i want: dual nationalities problem? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 07:13 PM PDT Im a 16 year old student in japan. My mom is japanese and my dad is malaysian. I moved to japan 2 years ago and haven t go back to malaysia since then. I moved due to some family problems so i was relieved and happy when i first move to japan. Of course being a student here isn t fun. Japanese schools have long hours and a lot of homeworks. I still keep in contact with my family in malaysia in this 2 years. My family in there always ask me to spend a vacation there but im busy with schools and im actually don t really want to go back because i didn t have a good memory when i was leaving malaysia (my dad is the problem) but also i love my other family (grandparent, aunt, cousins, etc) and want to meet them. |
Question: It makes me mad when my mom insists on making dinner, but takes forever? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 06:18 PM PDT Like, I like to eat ramen, and stuff like that, but she always insists on cooking, and will get mad if I'd rather eat something else I bought. I wouldn't be so bothered with this if she didnt wait until 6 pm to start dinner, and finish at 7 pm. I like to eat at 6 or a little before. Just now I got up to check how dinner is coming because I'm starving, and she said it will be another half hour. I felt like screaming. Am I wrong for being irritated? |

Posted: 17 Aug 2019 04:13 PM PDT My mother had her sister and very sweet sister come over after a life threatening situation , however things are okay but the sister and husband want to help out as much as they can because the mother is a recent widow less then 5 years.
