Question: Soon to be ex-husband put 'It's Complicated' instead of single, divorced, or separated? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 10:13 PM PDT HE wanted the divorce, and yes papers are signed... but as a means of a 'break'. Yes, a break. He wants me in his life in the future (as more than just a friend) but wants time to reevaluate his life and have fun, meet ppl, but he's felt strangled in our marriage so wants to reassess but doesnt want to lose me I guess. It 'is' complicated' I know, sounds dumb. I am wondering why in the hell he put 'its complicated' in his status? Instead of single, divorced, separated...what have you. ??? I could ask him but don't want to add fuel to the fire so wondering your takes on it......??? |
Posted: 10 Aug 2019 07:41 PM PDT I was in a toxic relationship for several years and i'm realizing that I can't keep settling for less just because I don't want to be alone. i'm keeping my standards high. no one is perfect, but i'm no longer dating emotionally abusive and controlling men. im 27 and the men with all the qualities that i love are taken. heres an example : my coworker who I met is extremely kind, courteous, we have a lot in common, he's well spoken, he dresses nice, hes ambitious, educated, he's also extremely attractive. he's married smh my guy friend who i have known for 10 years is also extremely kind, courteous, funny, owns multiple buisnesses, educated, well spoken, dresses nice, laid back, extremely good listener, affectionate, he's also extremely attractive. etc etc.. he has a girlfriend of 6 months. he's only been with her for 6 months so i might have hope with this one. they might break up. but it's still irritating that he's taken at the moment. I'm not shallow but i think attraction is important and I want to be attracted to my man in every aspect so of course i'm not dating someone i'm not attracted to. dating someone you aren't atracted to is a disservice to both partners because they are always going to feel like you settled for them. Also, when it comes to sex and you are not attracted to them that can pose a problem. This guy that lives in my city is always messaging me and he's nice, hes single but I'm not attracted to him at all. see, stuff like this always happens |

Posted: 10 Aug 2019 06:45 PM PDT I know women hate making love with their husbands for reasons such as: 1 " I'm tired " 2 he's " unskilled " 3 it's boring Etc But what about ONLY kissing and hugging everyday ? Is that something that you hate too ? Does he have to be " skilled " at giving hugs in order for you to enjoy it ? Thank you for your answers . |
Question: Married couples: how do you make your spouse feel appreciated? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 05:02 PM PDT My partner is someone who needs to feel appreciated but gets very uncomfortable when I tell him I appreciate him. I think this little quirk is charming, but I want to show him my appreciation rather than telling him if this will make him feel less awkward. Any advice? :) |
Question: My husband thinks I need to get my brain checked out? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 04:51 PM PDT He thinks I have schizophrenia but I think I'm normal. I see a lot of scary things that he doesn't but I think I'm just paranoid. I have always been paranoid from a very young age. My husband thinks I'm too isolated but I don't think so.. I talk to a lot of people actually but my husband doesn't believe me. He thinks it's all in my imagination. It's not.. I don't trust anyone. I think everyone is trying to kill me. My doctor tried to kill me but my husband doesn't believe me. I feel like I'm losing my mind. I can't feel what's real and what's not anymore. Things that I see that are there.. my husband can't see. I feel like he's playing with me.. he's lying to not see it to make me think I'm the crazy one..I don't think there is a problem with me because I feel this way my whole life. I see a lot of weird things but my husband can't see them. He don't believe me. I don't have any picture up on the walls because they laugh at me and stick out their tongue at me. I got so frustrated and put them all in a box tucked away. My own wedding picture laugh back at me. My husband was right there when it was happening how could he not hear anything or see this? Makes it so hard to tell if it's him or me with the problem. Does this seem like something is wrong with me or just paranoia? |

Question: I am having marital doubts or am I crazy? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 04:01 PM PDT Hello I need a little advice on my situation. My wife doesnt show me enough or very little affection or little sex at all. And she just ignore me like she is in a bubble dont talk. Just sit on the couch talking to her friends. I have tried to work on my marriage with her and she blames me for not showing (what couples do) at all. I cheated on her a year and a half ago and felt really bad. And when I leave her alone to give her space she confronts me bringing up the same old story. I understand that. I feel lost in my marriage. She wants to move to California with our kids as she says her and her kids and not me included. She want me to go for opportunity but I have strong doubts about it in my gut. I have no family there and what if everything still the same. Her friend says he will provide a house for her for 6 months free until she get back on her feet. He owns property. My uncle said mor to go because I dont know her intentions. I have one kid but we together have 6 total. She making plans without me included and telling everyone that she gonna leave. But nothing is set in stone. No action just talk. Any advice will help. |

Question: How do I go about talking to my husband about swinging or opening up our marriage? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 03:01 PM PDT So I'm 24 my husbands 28 we've been married for almost 5 years now and I love my husband more than anything in the world. I'm really big on fulfilling both mine and my husbands fantasy's but I'm scared to tell My husband that my biggest fantasies involve threesomes, orgies and group sex. I really would like to open up our marriage and ideally become swingers but I have nooo idea how to go about having this conversation with him or how he will react. I definitely don't want him to doubt my love for him. |

Question: Any advice please . I’m so depressed? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 02:29 PM PDT I honestly thought things would have changed with my husband , for the best but it's a everyday thing . He constantly getting aggravated with me ( making a sound of aggravation ) he continues to ignore me for hours ( when him and I have a disagreement about something he just leaves it alone for hours in a day and won't resolve until I say sorry first ) constantly gets his attitude with me and when I'm so hurt by it and begin to cry he then walks away and says I'm to sensitive. I ask him can we cuddle more and spend more time , basically to bring back the romance in our marriage but he says he's too tired from work and rather play video games until bed time . Once bed time comes I ask can we talk about our marriage, he then states he has to wake up early for work in the morning and tells me not to be selfish and let him sleep. This happens to me every single day . I have been married to him for 5 years. I'm afraid to ask him things at times because I don't want to argue or get my feelings hurt . He's only nice moments throughout the day. When I tel him our best option is divorce he says " pay for it " knowing I don't have enough money . I don't know what to do anymore . I really feel stuck and really depressed. |

Question: I’m 22 and mourning the death of my husband, I am depressed and don’t want to live.? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 01:15 PM PDT My husband died exactly one year ago today in a motorcycle accident and today has been one of the hardest days of my entire life. This entire year has been just excruciating. Me and him had been married 2 years but together for 6. We had just gotten a house together and everything. (Which I no longer live in). My entire life crumbled before my eyes in the past year. Lately I have been feeling extremely suicidal. Trying to find a new man makes me even more depressed so I've just been sleeping around and drinking so much. Like pretty much every night. I don't want to live anymore. Specially without him here. Life sucks man. Any advice? |

Question: Does this mean he doesn’t care about me? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 11:57 AM PDT My husband noticed everything about everyone except me. We'll be out and he'll noticed a woman with a pink shirt on. I wore the same shirt on for the past 3 days.. he asked me if it's a new shirt because he never seen it. I told him it's from my childhood being sarcastic. He just noticed I had very nice teeth and a good smile. We have been married for 6 years. I'm starting to get so annoyed how he never pay attention to me but to other woman. |
Posted: 10 Aug 2019 10:38 AM PDT We're latina btw. So my sister came to visit me and my husband (we got married recently and this is the first time she visited). On the first night we three have dinner together, she brings up "twin flames", and so we have a brief conversation about it. The reason why I find this weird is because when my husband and I were still dating I told my sister one time when I was very emotional that I felt my ex and I were "twinflames" (twinflame is just another word for soulmate, btw). I never cheated on my husband, but there was a brief period when I wondered "what if" about the ex, which I ended as soon as my husband and I became serious and now believe my husband to be the man for me. I had these "what-if" feelings but never acted on them or anything, so I don't feel like I did anything wrong, but I feel like a moron for telling my sister because that's absolutely not something my husband should ever know. I just find it bizarre for my sister to bring "twinflames" with my husband there. I now live with a paranoia that she was trying to sabotage my relationship or something (she's single btw). Anyways, thanks for reading! Not sure if this is just in my head or not. Also when we had the dinner she had a low-cut top and she had cleavage with her bra slightly showing -.- I briefly mentioned the cleavage when my husband wasn't there, but my sister said I was being a prude. |
Question: Need some relationship advice? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 10:01 AM PDT So my gf of 6 years who I also have a 2 yo with has lied and cheated so many times. The most recent was about a month ago when one of her old coworkers wife told me that my gf and her husband had an ongoing affair for almost a month over a year ago. I asked her a long time ago if anything ever happened and she lied to my face about it for over a year when this persons wife had to tell me. This isn't the first time she has lied or cheated. In fact she's lied too many times to even count. I have asked her so many times not to lie to me and yet she still continues. Even with now having a child. And the most messed up part of it all is that she turns it around on me and manipulates the situation to make me look like the bad guy to her family and friends when I confront and yell. Apparently I'm not allowed to yell when I've just been lied to for the hundredth time and cheated on again. And that's her way out so she doesn't have to be sorry or do anything to make up for what she's done. I'm at a loss bc I love my family but I also need to stick up for myself as well. |
Posted: 10 Aug 2019 09:39 AM PDT Anonymous --- No one's business by uncle's, WHAT ABOUT HIS WIFE? Do only men get business? And what about his 3 poor children having to witness this? Didn't you top to think about the innocent children? |
Question: Would you tell your partner? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 09:12 AM PDT I've been working in the same office for five years. There has always been the same delivery people during that time. There's one man that always says hello or waves at me when he comes. Over the years, he has learned my name but that's it. Just recently, he has been lingering when hes making his delivery and I notice he always seems to look for me. I don't acknowledge these things because I am married. Yesterday I ran into said delivery man and he began to ask me what I am doing during the weekend- like small talk. Then he stepped forward and hugged me! Worse, he planted a small kiss on my cheek. I froze and couldnt move. He told me to have a good weekend and then he left. I ran to my office and shut the door. I felt and feel like I did something wrong! Now i don't know if I should tell my husband or just let it go because I have a feeling this will upset him. It would upset me, too. Please advise. :( |
Question: How can I get my husband to be more gentle with my breasts? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 09:09 AM PDT We have been married for 2 years and together for 4. He is very energetic during sexy time and likes to grab and squeeze my boobs. I prefer him to be gentle with them, maybe soft caresses and kissing, but he likes to pinch twist and mash them. I don't want to hurt his male ego by complaining about his lovemaking (and in other ways it is great) but he just doesn't know how I like my breasts treated. After sex I always have a sore chest for awhile, and I just don't get pleasure from rough handling in that area. |
Question: My husband has a female friend I can’t figure out and it’s driving me crazy... help? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 08:46 AM PDT Background: He has a single female friend that he met at work. He told me all about her and their friendship. Situation: Recently, my husband was upset for several days and I didn't know why. Finally, I asked him what was going on with him and that's when he told me that the reason he was so upset was because they had gotten in a fight over some stupid misunderstanding. When he told me it made so mad because it makes me realize that he really cares for her... maybe too much????I don't think he should be so impacted by another woman unless...he has feelings for her... am I being stupid? Does anyone have a similar situation? Am I overthinking this? |
Question: I need help saving my marriage? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 08:22 AM PDT I met him n two months into the relationship he deployed it was hard when he came back I got military orders so we got married i came back and we were fighting but we also were happy most of the time he's sweet and I took care of him and he did the same, he's a little closed up. I started getting jealous and insecure even though I know there's nothing going on our fights escalated and I always end up stopping him from going anywhere unless the fight is resolved a few times it got a little physical, We spent an unhealthy amount of time together n my criticizing and questioning everything he did was getting out of my control finally last Saturday I was drinking n damaged his laptop and got upset at him and through his clothes in the tub after we took a bath in it and he was worried I was gonna harm myself so he unlocked the bathroom door from outside to come make sure I'm ok. Sunday was a day of fixing things so we bought a new laptop I bought him a new wallet cleaned and washed and folded his clothes. Monday he kissed me before work and I came home to him moved out with a letter and his wedding ring saying he's not good enough and that he's not strong enough took me off all social media and blocked my number had his family block me and only communication was email where the next day he stated he wants a divorce and he has 0 faith it can be fixed and that I'm emotionally abusive I'm in pieces, I've been seeing a counselor and I'm willing to work on it. |

Question: Why is my husband upset that I signed up on match.com? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 03:57 AM PDT We are separating but still living together. He took his ring off first, as a matter of fact we were in counseling and he would come back act nice for a few and go back to his usual self days later. And he cheated on me and still denies it to this day. which is why I got fed up. After counseling he said I'm accusing him of cheating so it's over between us. I didn't budge, he antagonizes me with our kid. Does a hot and cold, went to Facebook changed his relationship status to none. Pretty much has been acting like he is single. Couple days ago I tried a match.com account for 3 days. That was a free trial but they took .01cent out and since it was through my PayPal it went to our joint account, just like two other purchases that same day. I knew he would see it so I told him ahead of time. For all 3 purchases. He comes this morning and asks me if this is really what it is. Then he says I guess he could do the same too. Expecting to get a reaction out of me. Was he thinking I was going to sit and wallow, continue to cry over the way he treats me and not try to move on? Why does he act like he is hurt? |
Question: My husband does not help with chores or cooking.? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 02:03 AM PDT I recently became disabled and he was fired from his job. I thought he would start helping more, but it has only gotten worse. My neurosurgeon instructed me to not do ANYTHING, not lift anything over 2lbs. I have a leak in my spine causing my brain to sag, requires spine repair. I have debilitating symptoms. He still expects me to wait on him hand and foot. He sleeps all day and wakes up demanding food. If i express my feelings of wanting him to help or saying no he gets verbally abusive & throws tantrums. He feels because he pays half the bills he doesnt have to do anything else. He even belittles me in front of family. Before this i worked full time and he didnt help then either. He rarely cuts our grass or cleans up our yard. He says since I bought the house and its not his hes not going to put in the work. He wont even clean up after the 2 dogs he bought. I am pretty sure I married a narcissist and I think its time for me to call it quits? |
