My family and i have decided that New York has just become way too expensive. We all have decent jobs and decent salaries. But its still not cutting it. We still live check to check. We get robbed with property taxes, state taxes, etc. and its getting worse by the year. (We live on the border of Queens and Nassau County Long island, and all these taxes/expenses, its not worth it in this location, its an ordinary location, not worth the high prices). Were all pretty miserable and stressed out with the overall atmosphere. I also have no friends anymore. We grew apart after college. We have come to the decision to move to Broward county, South Florida. We have some family there. Its more to look for financial freedom. And for me, a fresh start in life. Im hoping a change of scenery will help me meet new friends, improve my social life, dig out of this depression and be happy in life. But im scared. I was born and raised in NY for 27 years. Im scared of being homesick, i dont know how i can handle homesickness. I have lots of memories here in ny. What if I cant handle the extreme heat/humidity? What if what if what if? Im worried. But also extremely pumped about a new start in life! Any thoughts?

Is it ok if a person that has friends talks to them and hangs out with them sometimes and they all get along great but this person would rather be with their family instead of the friends that they have is that ok? Friendship is not everything right? And also they would only go out with their friends if they invited them places and also the person's friends tell them that they're not going anywhere. It happens to me that for about 4 years I have been shy, but not only did I become shy in person but also on the social networks that I frequent. As for example on Facebook I stopped posting things for fear of what people think about it. I stopped uploading photos, commenting, etc., for fear of "being like a fool." 2 years ago I made an Instagram account, I almost didn't use it, but about 2 months ago I started using it, I started to encourage uploading photos, commenting, commenting, etc. It's like that shyness of social networks went away ... But I have the most important and perhaps the most difficult to overcome ... shyness in person. That is, in the networks I act in one way and in person in another, I have trouble letting my personality flow, I speak with a lot of shame and that limits me a lot to relate to acquaintances as well as strangers. My question is: If I overcome the shyness of networks encouraging me to upload things ... how do you think I can overcome shyness in person? from your point of view .. what do you think you should do? Why is it that I'm always just lovabale enough to be a best friend but no one ever loves me enough to truly love me. I'm flawed, a sinner. They immediately started apologizing saying they felt bad, but I honestly don't think they would've felt any remorse if I didn't find out. They said that they blocked me from viewing their stories because they didn't think I would want to go since I get anxiety when I'm somewhere with a lot of people. But, they didn't even bother to ask me? I haven't texted them since yesterday and I don't know what to do. I'm not in the mood to talk to either of them but, what would you do in my situation?

My friend who got me into rehab wants me to go again because I relapsed. He said you mean a lot to me and he doesn't want to lose me to addiction because he's lost so many people and I'm such a cool person. Is he just being friendly?
