Question: How should I tell my friend she hurt my feelings? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 04:45 PM PDT I have one best friend that I hang out with all the time and shes been my friend for ab 2 years. If I didn't have her I'd basically have no one because everyone else in my life has abandoned me. But sometimes we'll be joking around and she says I'm the only one you have, or I'll just leave you like everyone else has. And shes also said i'm the only one that loves you. She has also threatened to stop being friends with me because I couldn't get over my ex. One time we got in an argument over something dumb and she called me a desperate hoe because I have sex. She is a good friend to me but I don't think she understands that it's not really a joke. |
Question: How to ignore people that judge me? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 04:34 PM PDT I like to dress "emo/goth" or whatever you want to call it. I like to wear all black and combat boots and stuff like that. The thing is I don't want to run people away because they might think I'm weird or make it hard for myself to build friendships. I have dressed that way before but I don't do it often because I'm scared. I'm black and I also get judged by other people that are my race because of the way I dress. I like metal/ screamo music and I don't really like to tell other people that. Or that I'm into white guys. My brother said I'm going through an emo "phase" but it's just who I am and my sister calls me weird and lets others talk about me. They also make fun of me for being attracted to white guys. Can someone help me with my family situation and also just building confidence. I feel like I'm going through and identity crisis because nobody will accept me |

Question: How do I confront them? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 02:58 PM PDT My Bestfriend of 10 years has been hooking up with my boyfriend of 2 years :( I recently found out because my friend from school sent me pictures of them kissing at the mall and a video of them making out at a party I wasn't even invited to. I don't want to loose both of them! I've known them for so long I just don't understand what I did to them to make them do this :( help |
Question: Why does this happen to me? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 02:26 PM PDT Every since I was young, I had a small group of friends which consisted of 3 people including me. We've been friends for more than 10 years now. Many people came and went but we were the "Trio". Lately, they have been excluding me and they seem to have fun without me. *im trying so hard not to cry while typing this* It really hurts; they always leave me out. Out of nowhere, they have been calling me names and saying stuff about me behind my back. I don't understand why, I'm always so nice to them, I've never gotten mad at them, and im always there when they need me. Idk why this is happening, I really don't. |
Question: Why do girls my age dislike me? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 02:12 PM PDT I'm a 21 year old guy. I've always struggled with girls. I was never the "cute" boy growing up. As far as I know a girl has never had a crush on me. Here's a little about me. I'm a hard worker, building a career, I help my family in times of need, I bought a badass car all by myself, I like to go surfing, I play guitar like nobody's business, etc. every girl I meet treats me like I'm nothing. Or like I'm an asexual "puppy dog" instead of "the man" as I know myself to be. What is wrong here? They should be like... all over me. Everyone likes me and thinks I'm cool except for young women. I can't even get a girl to go get a smoothie with me... I just want someone to love and someone to love me. I think I deserve it, my friends think I deserve it, I don't get. I've got family name to carry on here. Not looking good if I can't even get girls to treat me like an adult. |
Question: Something grew in my soy sauce bottle and I wanna know what it is. Can you help? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 01:54 PM PDT I'll send you the pictures I took in an email because I don't think I can post them here |
Question: Is she really my friend? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 12:46 PM PDT I have this friend, and we talk a lot at school, but I get excluded from every event on the weekends. This summer I said we should hang out when she's free but she never responded, and continued to hang out with her other group of friends. |
Question: How do I reconnect with a friend who is not active on social media? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 12:35 PM PDT Shes does not have Instagram ,Twitter, Facebook or any of those other apps. I used to have her phone number , but I lost some contacts when I got a new phone. She is a new resident of Colorado. And even when I type her first and last name into the white pages website, nothing comes up. |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:56 AM PDT Basically at our prom we had to choose seats and one of my friends put me at a table with her which is great, but she didn't put our other friend at the same table for some reason. Should I tell my friend about what happened in advance or should I leave it until the night and see what happens? I know for a fact it will start a fight and it wasn't even to do with me in the first place so not sure if I should get involved. |
Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:36 AM PDT We are all close friends that known eachother for 20+ years. As for every group, there are diff respect levels, and I'd say I'm somewhere in the middle. Not the alpha, but def wont tolerate being the ***** neither. We were playing beer pong when 1 of my drunk friend started to talk trash that I would miss and everyone laughs. Thats when it went nonstop. All 3 of em were trying to come up with the next funny joke to say about me missing. "Johns going to miss here watch. Yup, told u so" everyone LOL. "I only missed to see how John plays" LOL "Watch, Johns going to miss this" LOL "Damn sucks to be in Johns team" LOL Thing is, my partner and I won the bulk of it and I wasn't missing any more than them, just the 1 friend started it and everyone joined in on him for the "fun" |
Question: Verbally attacked by those I once called friends? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 10:40 AM PDT Tonight I was added into a groupchat with 3 of my closest friends. Background: 2 of 4 friends insulted my boyfriend behind his back, talked a lot of **** so I got defensive of course. Us 3 talk about it (them still not realizing what they did wrong but giving empty apologies) and move on. A full month later, those 2 plus 1 of MY (not their) friends invite me to a chat completely unexpectedly and explain that I've changed because of that one incident and that I'm defensive and it annoys them. They want to "help" me. Turns into an outlet where 3 (one not directly involved even) verbally attack me and gang up on me. Bring out other personal issues that could've been easily resolved had they voiced them to me earlier and privately. I'm the bad guy at the end because I explain my feelings on this, apologize for mistakes but stay true to myself and don't regret getting defensive??? Called a liar at least 30 times. Turns out my bff has been sending screenshots of our private convos when we argue to my other friends to turn them against me. I was nothing but open during this conversation but it was hard when i was being hit at every angle. Thoughts? Decided they're not true friends and broke contact with their sorry asses. |
Question: Do you make friends at work? Like close friends hanging out outside of work.? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 09:41 AM PDT I've seen good friends made and drama and gossip friends made. I don't know many people where I live. I've been here for 8 years and I've made a couple friends from past jobs. The only hobby I do is work out and play basketball. I find a bar I like and made some bar friends. I thought about dating to meet people to. Online seems like a waste of time so I just go out every other weekend. I still put some effort into online but most of my messages are ignored. I'm a decent looking guy and do better in real life. |
Question: Is he just a gentleman/ nice guy? Posted: 18 Aug 2019 07:35 AM PDT He is a guy in my school ( a year ahead of me) and we met previously at a party and we chatted for a bit. Now when're he sees me at school he always says hi and he tried to talk to me once about school. Yesterday, I was at the library reading and when I looked up I noticed he was looking at me, so he waved and smiled. Is he trying to be friend or is he interested? |

Posted: 18 Aug 2019 05:54 AM PDT Hey y all, so I work at a children s gently used consignment store, theres plenty of other employees but apparently August and September are our busy months, so my boss has said we re really not supposed to take off during this time. I am planning to meet my best friend of almost three years in person for the first time, for her milestone birthday, and its the first week of September. Normally I d just plan to go another time but I REALLY want to be there for her birthday, so it s very important to me that I go in September. My boss is a very understanding and kind person, but I m still worried she may say no if I stumble over my words and not stress how important this is to me. Some points I think could help aid me in getting my boss s permission to take off: 1. I m one of their most efficient employees, and will for sure be working whenever they need me before and after I go. 2. Really emphasizing that I wont be taking off at all for the rest of the month, I will come in when they need me, I just need this one week. 3. That s all I got and I dont know how to properly phrase all this. Please help me meet my best friend wise yahoo peeps, you re my only hope! |

Question: Can someone PLEASE help me find out the name of this movie? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 11:33 PM PDT I've been trying to find the title of this movie for almost 3 years now. I watched the trailer and do not remember the name of this film. It's about this father who's a famous puppet maker and has a kids puppet show. The father then dies and his grown up son finds a door in the workshop that leads to another world with the puppets from the show?? There was a scene in the beginning with the father making a puppet. If anyone knows what movie this was, please reply because it has been killing me for years not knowing. |
Question: Do you think I missed out? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 11:24 PM PDT I'm almost 21 and I never partied when I was younger. You know, staying out late with friends drinking and then going to Denny's for example. I really regret wasting my teenage years. |
Question: What does it mean when a guy friend continuously calls you amazing? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 10:43 PM PDT |
Question: How can I overcome being jealous of my best friend? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 10:20 PM PDT My best friend and I have been friends for over 6 years and I've always found myself being jealous of her. She's skinnier than me, richer than me, more talented than me, prettier than me. I just don't know how to take it anymore. It's not her fault I know, but I have lost all confidence because of her. I need help!! How can I over come this jealousy and gain my confidence back? |
Question: Do you find these friendships odd? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 09:52 PM PDT I'm a 21 year old guy. Basically, almost all of my friends are in their 40s or older. I have one close buddy of mine my age, but it ends there. In fact, most of my best and closest friends are women in their 40s. They just get me and think I'm cool, unlike most people my age. They actually make time to hang out with me and go for a walk, see how I'm doing, etc. should I just be friends with who wants to be friends? Most people my age are friends with people their own age. People my age don't like me very much. You know how the president has demographics or polls he's low in? Well people my age I have really bad "poll numbers". |
Question: How do I make my friend jealous (No answers like :OH get a different friend)? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 09:34 PM PDT I've had enough dealing with this crap my friend has been giving me for years. I don't want to stop being friends with her, but I want to make her jealous of me. She's always trying to put me down and make everything my fault and I always let her. Now it's my turn. Show me how to make her jealous She had been putting me down for ages and trying to hurt my feelings. She gets mad at me for her own mistakes. She never is happy for me if I have great news. She instead frowns and talks behind my back. Yet, when she is bored she wants to be friends and sticks all around me. I'm tired of it |
Posted: 17 Aug 2019 09:13 PM PDT so I have three sisters, I'll just make up names ig. Nicole and Marie are my sisters that I love dearly. Marie is my twin and we currently live together. I also have another sister (Layne) that is pretty much evil, she's always been a trouble maker. So Layne told me yesterday that she was pregnant and so that caught me off guard. We're obviously not on good terms but I said congrats and also told her that she did us wrong. Well my twin saw her hug me outside and immediately started bawling for no reason. She called Nicole and Nicole was pissed. Nicole had said that she didn't care about me anymore, she had a panic attack cause she was told that I was being nice to Layne. Nicole and her husband have completely ignored me and invited my twin over to go drinking. Nicole is gonna have Marie drive home drunk which has me really scared. I literally have been so depressed lately. These are the people I live around, they make me feel wrong for having good morals. Sorry this is a bit confusing but I just don't know what to do. I don't have a single friend and I live like a recluse. All my sisters now that I have severe depression. But lately It's like I've lost touch with reality. I've been crying all week cause I don't wanna live anymore. The only thing keeping me from killing myself is that I was told I'd go to hell for committing suicide. I really need someone to talk to. |

Posted: 17 Aug 2019 09:03 PM PDT I had to move for family reasons and there were quite a few people I considered my friends but since then, they have stopped communicating with me. Do friends do such things if someone moves away? If I text them "how are you?", they briefly reply "good" and that's it. Last year I sent them a Christmas card but they did not reply to that either. I hardly ever contact them because I don't want to bother anyone. I don't feel like I need attention but I considered them my friends, we got along well. A new friend of mine told me she thinks this is just due to the modern world where everyone is busy and many are disconnected. I do wonder if others have similar experiences? |
Question: My friend is there half of the time? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 08:49 PM PDT So one of my longest friends I have has always had an off and on relationship with me. We have so much in common, yet I always seem like she tries to put me down. One day, we'll be happy and doing stuff together, then during holidays we won't text at all. We never comment on each others posts, and I always feel like I'm there when she needs a shoulder to cry on, except when it's my turn she seems too lazy. I've always come to the conclusion where I'm thinking maybe I;m jealous of her? But I realized it may be the opposite. I always get awards and compliments, but she always seems to ignore them and not even cheer for me. Is she jealous? |
Posted: 17 Aug 2019 08:15 PM PDT Im so tired of getting played. My so called bf slept in the same bed with my female friend and they say they are friends and it's normal. I'm so hurt and feel betrayed I been crying all day. I just want to give up on everything. |
Question: HELP GUYS! IS THIS STRANGE? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 07:08 PM PDT I work with him, a single young doctor I work with (34 and im 29). We've had our spats or when he's told me something he's realized i have a leader personality since i don't take it well when someone gives me orders (also applying to medical school). I was in his office the other day and he said yeah even working in this company he isn't his own boss might as well work for uber I said yes we go to school for 10 years and still not our own boss. Then he said well at least I'm your boss smiling. I didn't like what he said and looked to my side. He said you didn't like that did you and smiling. I said no. He said I know smiling. I said how do you know? He said because no one can tell you anything.. not even your man, looking down and smiling (mind you i've never mentioned a man or anything, we've been workign together 2 months and barely becoming comfortable with eachother. I found this strange I said yes because i'm powerful and it has to be equal and he has to respect me. He said yes but you have to put down your walls a bit. I said yes because I don't let people in, no one's on my level. He said I know no one's on my level either. I said really? he said yeah I have my walls up too. I said then why are you telling me to put my walls down when yours are up? He said because I'm working on lowering my walls too. Why did he have this conversation with me? He also always smiles when talking to me, makes jokes etc. Also, I find that at times he has trouble looking me in the eye, gets awkward and starts fidgeting like picking up his cup of coffee while i'm talking during meeting. Then he said he had a few more things but seemed he had lost his train of thought from being flustered? Why is it that sometimes he gets awkward and can't look me in the eye too long while talking but other times talks as if nothing. I"'m so confused |
Question: Guy friend asks his best friend to take care of you when he goes to leave after drinking? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 06:34 PM PDT One of my guy friends and I were out drinking with his friends. He said good bye, gave me a hug and left. But then he came back in, looked at his best friend (who was sitting next to me) and said "Matt...take care of my Jane" (which is my name). What does that mean? |
Posted: 17 Aug 2019 06:25 PM PDT Tryin to decode a complicated woman I've known years now and still don't understand her ways of thinking and talking. Like she has her own kind of language not like normal people. |
Question: Is my new roommate Islamophobic? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 06:24 PM PDT So I told my new roommate that my old roommate was from Dubai. He then started to constantly ask questions about my old roommate. Was he loud? How long was he my roommate? Does he have a heart? I thought it was kind of strange. He's very fixated on my old roommate for some reason. Like, why does it matter? The question about if he has a heart was the strangest to me. Is there a reason for this? |
Question: Any advice for this person ? Posted: 17 Aug 2019 06:21 PM PDT Do you think a 20yr old who still lives in the town they grew up in would have more friends more connection & more fun than another 20yr old who lives in that same town but only for 6months-1yr ? Should the person who moved to the new town feel down on himself/ or herself for not knowing a lot of people and not accomplishing the same amount as the other person? |
