Question: Sister in law may be coming on to me, how do I tread? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 12:42 AM PDT My sister in law, I fear, is trying to lead me on so she can get her husband to be jealous, and it's annoying me. She is pretty, so yes, I have snuck a few glimpses here and there in the past. I never thought of her as anything more than a sister in law. Her husband and I have become best friends over the years of knowing each other. Every time I go hang out with him, she would tag along. She would always position herself in front of me and stare at me while I'm talking to him or reposition herself if I turn a different way to talk to someone else so that she can stare at me or see if I'm staring back at her. I see her staring at me, and she would get mad if I don't acknowledge her staring at me, but if I do turn towards her and lock eyes, she will brighten up suddenly. One night we were playing party games, so she sat across from me by her husband, and she kept staring/glaring at me then looking away quickly, I kept ignoring her, but I could tell she was getting mad so I gave her a few eye lock and some funny jokes to lighten the mood. She would giggle at every joke I make, funny or not and would always want to make me the center of conversations. If I talk about how pretty other girls are and my what ideal types are, she would get jealous and quickly compare herself to it. She does all these things in front of her husband. I don't know if my best friend (her husband) is just dense or he doesn't care. Should I just shut down my best friend every time he's bringing her? |
Posted: 09 Aug 2019 09:24 PM PDT I'm 24. It took my an extra year to graduate from college. My major has an average starting salary of $65,000. My current job pays $55,000/year. I just graduated from college. I could get aa better job eventually. My dad acts extremely unhappy about those things. He wanted me to graduate from college sooner and he wants me to have a higher paying job. He wants me to get a job that pays over $80,000/year. His job pays about $250,000 per year. Since I don't have a job that pays that much, he act extremely unhappy all the time. He always says I can do better. Where I live, someone can buy a house making $55,000/year. Probably not a really nice house, but not a bad house. I feel like he always treats me like I'm not successful. For example, one time he said how he has a real job and I don't. Another time he said how he knows a friend of his and her daughter is a doctor. |
