Question: Time to call it quits? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 09:45 PM PDT My husband is angry & miserable all of the time. No matter what anyone does it never gets better. I have offered therapy or counseling but he refuses. Lately it has spilled over to our kids. Sometimes its just rude remarks but the other day he full on screamed and cussed at my daughter and called her some pretty foul names. He always has excuses for his behavior, its always someone elses fault for his reactions. We literally walk around the house on eggshells and this is no way to live. If things dont go his way he will throw fits, sometimes even break things. If i tell him no he calls me foul names. He doesnt help around the house with anything, but complains about everything. It wasnt always like this, but there were several red flags in the begenning that i overlooked because they didn't happen very often. His rage scares me, he gets very angry & upset over minimal petty things. I never wanted to get a divorce but this isnt just "for better or worse"...I feel like verbal abuse and intimidation to get your way is a deal breaker. He has made it clear he has no intention to change, when i voice my feelings, go on "strike" or leave to get seperation it literally changes nothing...i really wanted my marriage to work but i think its time for me to give up... |
Question: Divorced parents, when does it get easier sharing your kids? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 07:19 PM PDT I'm a recently divorced mom. My ex and I have three daughters together. We split up during my pregnancy and divorce was final a month ago. Our youngest is 3 months old. We do week on/ week off with the 4 and 5 year old. With our infant he gets every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-5 and then every other sat-Sunday. I miss my kids terribly and I don't know what to downtoh myself when they are gone. He is a good and capable dad, I've just never been without them for over a day. Any advice? This was court ordered by a judge |
Question: Inlaws always want me to stay at their homes when visiting out of state, what to do? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 06:54 PM PDT I don't want to stay with them. They wont take NO for an answer. |
Posted: 11 Aug 2019 06:52 PM PDT All my Mom's family is discussing is the uncle and aunt divorcing, thus it is why I ask on here several times a week questions about it. When my Mom's family brings it up tomorrow should I keep participating and recording in my head the gossip or is there a way I should get them to pivot to something else? It is all anyone has talked about since April. At the funeral for my Mom's uncle two weeks ago it was all we talked about with people there instead of about the person who died. It is like an obsession everyone in the family, myself included, has. Any ideas? Or do I just keep participating? Sorry for all my questions on here, I ask the stuff I hear others talking about so I can have input. I am already dreading Christmas and Thanksgiving this year for this reason. |
Question: My husband keeps messaging other women on social media. What to do next? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 05:11 PM PDT We only been married for a few months. But this is the 3rd time he's been caught talking to other women. He told one chick when he goes back home he wants to move her in and put his babies in her. The other chick he was telling he misses her and sorry. He was trying to make arrangements to go spend time with her out of state also. About a week ago he went out of town for wkend and claimed to lost his phone. But all of a sudden phone shows back up. I spoke w two of these women who both said he contacted them claiming he was single and living alone. He had pictures of other women vagina in his phone when I went through it. He wouldn't erase photo out his phone. I wasn't upset with other women only him! He keeps saying I wasn't cheating or chatting with other women. I just chatted! Anytime someone calls me he wants to know who it is etc.. I've told him if I'm not the one he wants to be with then leave and go on by his business. Not to pay no bills in my home next month so he'll have all his money to get a new place for himself cause I'm not going to jeopardize my health. If u talking to other women and sleeping with them. He claim he doesn't want a.divorce and didn't marry and move 5states over to be w/me. I don't trust him and honestly don't feel like he loves me with all this going on cause if he did he wouldn't be doing the things he's doing. Very stressed out!!! |
Posted: 11 Aug 2019 04:17 PM PDT My husband exhibits many narcissistic traits, and he's very possessive of things, including food. At first I thought it was kind of cute, but now that we're going on five years of marriage, it's getting old. His mom is the same way. My husband's aunt often gives our daughters gifts, and if she happens to ask my mother-in-law to give the gifts to us, she'll keep them and never give them to us. If we ask her about them, she argues that she wants to keep them. The other day said aunt asked my MIL if she ever gave us the teething rings she left with her and my MIL proudly retorted that she's keeping them at her apartment for whenever we go over. We hardly ever go over because she works. What good are seldom used pacifiers? Our central air recently went out, and we've been relying on window units. Needless to say, our home is VERY hot right now. One of his friends let us use a fan and told us it was for the family. Well, the other night I moved the fan to the kitchen where I was doing dishes. The next morning my husband saw it and asked why I used HIS fan. Instead of being happy his wife was cool when doing the dishes, he just thought of himself. He even ranted and raved all day long today because my mom drank his can of soda, even though he didn't tell anyone it was his. I've never met people like this is in my whole life. Is this normal?? |

Question: Is there any way to protect money you've earned during a marriage? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 03:19 PM PDT It seems like prenups only cover assets before marriage. It makes me not want to get ever married because it incentivizes divorce just so one spouse can get the earnings of another |
Question: How to stop shaking when I’m having an anxiety attack? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 02:11 PM PDT My problem is that whenever I'm around men I start shaking like a crazy person and I have anxiety attacks immediately. I went to my surgeon for a follow up and he asked me why am I always nervous and scared, he said it's not normal for a person to be fearful all the time. I told him that I always get nervous when men touch me. He said what men, I told him the men that my husband makes me have sex with my husband gambles and makes me do stuff with his friends and strange men for money. My surgeon is a Muslim and he told me this isn't normal so he called a social worker, she tried getting me in touch with a human trafficking advocate but I told them I don't need that kind of help. Please don't judge me and tell me to leave my husband because this isn't what I'm here to hear, I can't leave home because of my Arabic/Muslim background and I love him plus we have 5 kids and I've been with him since I was 12, that's 20 years ago, we've been through so much together. My question is... how do I control myself from shaking and acting like a retard when I'm around men? The only way for me to be intimate at this moment is when they tie me up (bondage sex) Thanks for your time |
Question: Is the silent treatment really abusive? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 01:22 PM PDT My wife has the maddening habit of constantly interrupting me and talking over me--most of the time, the only words I can say are "Can I finish my sentence?!?" Anytime I rehearse in my mind something I am going to confront her with, I always have to plan it around being interrupted. Finally, I decided I had enough and flat out stopped speaking to her while ignoring her when she tries to speak to me. Same goes for any texts and social media posts. I have had ENOUGH! Lately she posted a share on Facebook that said that the silent treatment is a manipulative form of abuse meant to demean and reduce a person....which is NOT my objective. It's just my way of saying "I'm sick of your shìt!!!" What is your opinion? |

Question: How can i get rid of my moms husband? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 09:08 AM PDT I know she's the ONLY one who can ultimately get rid of him, but how can i assist her? He is the worst human being I've ever came into contact with in my entire life- he needs to go. She agrees sometimes, but he's manipulative. Maybe frame him for something? He's too ugly to ever cheat. He won the lottery with my mom and that's why he won't leave. I need some good ideas ;) |
Question: My wife has completely changed angry person? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 08:26 AM PDT My wife has always been a very calm and level headed person. We moved in April 2017 to a new state. When she moved here she had a great job. Unfortunately, just 3 months into the job the company closed. We then lost our home in a fire in October 2017. In 2018, a company hired my wife just to fire her when their niece finished college. They did her very dirty and when they fired her they laughed and said "family comes first." Since then, she's been unable to find full time employment and is working at a daycare making 10.00/hr. 20 hours per week. We are struggling to get by on basically just my income and are starting to drain both our savings account. My one income is not enough. This area does not offer many jobs. She's become a very angry person. She's gotten into fights with people recently, she has verbally threatened to kick someone's a** in a store, she's become verbally abusive towards me in recent months. I honestly don't recognize the women in front of me. We talked about it and she told me it's all pent up frustration/anger from being here and choosing to move to this area when we were warned not to. We have a home here that's paid off so I really don't want to relocate. Plus I do have my job here too. I d told her to look for a 2nd job she's completely unmotivated to do anything she's put on weight, not doing her hair, not going to the gym. Granted, we can't afford those things at this time Any advice? I'm concerned for my wife |
Question: Are most unmarried women in their 30’s crazy? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 07:51 AM PDT I'm 27 now and my aunt told me to be careful of dating women who are in their 30's and have never been married. She told me most women who are in their 30's and have not been married generally have serious baggage/issues and that there are reasons they aren't married/men don't want them. Is there any truth to this? Should I stick with dating women between 25-29? |

Question: Are these excuses not to commit after 5 years together ? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 06:36 AM PDT I'm 30, live with bf Been together almost 5 years So I've been hinting at a proposal for the past year and have had nothing. Going overseas next month and he knows it's my dream to be proposed to overseas and still nothing. The other day I stopped to look at rings in a store window to see his reaction and he didn't want to go in after I suggested it.( broke my heart) I brought it up with him and he says he was scared to go in and marriage is a big thing. When I Asked if he had any plans to propose in Japan he said he won't take a ring overseas. Told him I need to move on because we are Cleary not on the same page and then he breaks down saying his been depressed and doesn't like his job or weight and that I haven't even noticed his feelings. Said he does want to get engaged but has been so slow and stupid to make it happen (which I now don't believe) These are all excuses right? I feel I'm being manipulated here any advice appreciated |
Question: Husband cheated with less attractive girl? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 06:15 AM PDT Okay she's beautiful but over weight and I have a nicer slim body. I have a degree and well paid job She barely finished high school and okay job I have a very high sense of fashion She dye her hair with crazy colors and dress like whatever mostly cartoonish shirts or bright colors clothes and cheap purses She shares some hobbies with husband and I figured out they known each other since younger age but they broke up before we get married and here she is again I went to her to talk and she was nice and said she would never take him from me and that i am the number 1 in his life and she's only history and more like friends and would never ruin our marriage But I didn't take it because i saw him as a different person with her than he is with me. What would let a man cheat with less attractive girl? |

Posted: 11 Aug 2019 05:21 AM PDT She said it more than once during the conversation we had at her recent birthday party she invited me to. She was never this friendly with me before. She is skilled, good looking, has a highly paid job and is happily married with her husband. What do you think is going on? Any advice? |

Question: Are ultimatums okay in a relationship? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 01:25 AM PDT My husband and I have been married for 2 years and we just went skydiving for the first time together. We both really enjoyed and I want to do more jumps. Later that night after skydiving he tells me that I have to pick between travel (my passion) and skydiving. Is this fair to ask? |

Question: Boyfriend has no job, should I let him live with me? Posted: 09 Aug 2019 09:49 PM PDT My boyfriend flipped on his boss at his job and he chose to resign. He had a good union job of 20 plus years. My boss lost his cool on his because he and I were having an argument. He ended up leaving his apartment and moving to his family lives which is another country. I bought his ticket and did so much for him because I felt so guilty about the situation. Instead of being angry at him, I now miss him so much. He doesn't have a degree or a direction where he wants to go. He believes in gambling in the States would allow him to do well. I don't know how I could miss someone so much since he's gone. He now suggests that he lives with me and becomes my 'housewife'. We don't have any children. I don't see myself doing any better without him and I'm so happy now. But him living with me without a job terrifies me. I should be married at this point with a family. He doesn't want to be legally married but married in an alternative way. I am not sure what to do. |
