But people used to love me for that at my old school. Everyone liked me and was my friend. But ever since I came to high school that changed. I was kinda timid and scared because I didn't know anyone. But after a while of only a few friends I decided to be myself (the weird and goofy self) but I could tell people didn't like me or were annoyed by me. Ever since I was shamed for being weird, I tried to be normal (but at the same time I don't wanna be basic!). I'm trying to change myself to make more friends, but still no one seems to like me. (However I did make a few friends, but all of them drink and do drugs and I don't wanna be around that sort of people) How can I be more social? How can I get more popular? I drove w them a few times to lunch and stuff and after my parents said i cant anymore. Because of this, i miss out on soooo much stuff and constantly have to reject invites. The thing is on top of that my parents never want to drive me to get wawa or to other places. I miss out on sm fun stuff since i need a ride from my parents. They say they cant trust them bc theyre teens but theyre expirienced at least a year and we dont go farther than 10 mins away. So far, in the past two years of my life, I have gone Three places: the gym, school, home. now I don't even go to the gym because my membership expired so now just two. Everyday is the same. I wake up, go to school, come home, do he, worrry about some stupid test, study for it, go to bed, repeat. Sometimes I wake up and wonder, why do I even bother? I used to be a happy, outgoing straight A student. After I moved away from the adventurous streets of NYC to boring Texas, my life wasn't as great as it was. I miss being happy, going places. Now I feel locked at home all day, alone and sad. My dreams for the future is to travel across the world, meet new people, learn a new language, eat exotic foods, have fun, everyday is a new adventure. But it seems my life is the complete opposite. Everyday I notice people. People look forward to the weekends, on the weekends they go to the beach, the pool, a friend's house, out to eat, laugh with their friends. I only have two friends, they're pretty ok. It kinda makes me sad. My parents are workaholics, working all around the clock. My brother is 18, and ever since he was in middle school, his life was great. I was jealous of him. He went everywhere, he had fun, made memories, laughed with friends, etc. I just don't feel like livin anymore? What's the point? I've been trying to be really supportive of her since she's just been having a really busy time in her life. We don't get to hang out very much like previously mentioned, so I email and text her sometimes, but I don't know if I should stop. On one hand, if I do it will show her that I have a life and other friends too and that I'm not needy (like I think she might already think). On the other hand I should try to be supportive of her and be there for her thru these tough (I don't really know if they're that 'tough' times though because she seems to be having lots of fun with basketball and all of her friends and activities) times and show her I love her. Back in band we were in the same section so we hung around a lot, in fact, I felt very close to them. After I left band though, when I said they could text me (I gave them my Kik, Facebook, Phone number, you name it), they never did unless I texted first. The first guy replied to me whenever I texted but he never actually tried talking to me or ever sought me out to hang whereas guy number 2 took days to reply and when I told him I was picking out a graduation gift I was left on read. I thought we were all good friends and even though i'm giving them brand new stuff I bought on a whim, they're still worth like $30 for each present. I would actually gain something by reselling it but I also thought it'd be nice to give as a graduation present but now i'm not so sure, it doesn't even seem like we're friends at all nor would they care about me when they leave. Should I still give it? P.S. I'm asking this because I did enjoy last year with them a lot and it felt like we were close. |

Apparently, we had misinterpreted a part of the rubric and for that she would take off 20 points. My group and I worked very hard on this project and we asked her if there was anything we could do to which she responded with a firm no. I feel like an idiot because I know that she is right (we should have read the rubric more carefully). Moreover, all of my classmates know about what happened, and I believe that they also see me as an idiot now. This class does not have a lot of grades in it, so there is very little room for my grade to go up. I have been working hard in this class all year long and I feel as if I have just thrown away all of that hardwork because of this one mistake. Additionally, this is my junior year of high school, meaning that grades are very important for college. Overall, though, I have not been very happy this year. For the past 3-4 months, I have been very depressed for a variety of reasons. For the past two weeks, things have started to look up. But now, all of my sadness has returned and I do not know what to do. Just thinking about how happy I was this past weekend only makes me sadder. I have not told anyone about have I felt for the past 3-4 months because I have no one that I can tell (my parents would make it awkward). I'm sorry for listing all of these problems, but I just don't know what to do. |

My brother lost his arm and got teased really badly so he killed himself and my best friend was murdered that same year. My parents chose to volunteer for relocation when my dad s job asked for someone. I got here and got picked on like crazy. I was bullied half my life for being different and I have a lot of health issues too because I was born premature. The problem now is that my best and ONLY friend doesn t believe me anymore and I feel like I m being attacked. I don t want someone to believe my "story", I just want her to be my friend. I met a few cool people, but they're not in my class and have a different schedule that I don't really know (my classmates are nice but I didn't really connect with anyone). I do spot them during the break sometimes but I find it hard to approach them because they're quite a large group (I only met 3 of them) and they've known each other for months now so it feels a bit awkward to be like "hey friends !". Also I just don't really feel like Berlin is "my city", I mean it's cool and I probably haven't explored it enough yet (another thing, I find big cities super intimidating) but I'm just not really warming up to it (maybe because it's still f*cking freezing haha). For example, the one who I would consider my closest friend out of all of them treats me like dirt sometimes, like she snaps at me all the time and if I try and give her and hug she will tell me to get off of her, but she is always giving hugs to the other friends and allowing them to touch her. Idk why, but just cause she's a little better than me she gets all these special privileges and she got into the top choir faster than me and I'm not even in it yet cause she's in it and they don't need me. We are more friends with benefits. I'm 35 and I want to have a baby with him but he keeps telling me no. A month ago he even went as far as to have a vasectomy. He usually works nights and for the last 2 weeks he's been on days. He went out drinking with friends Friday night and I wanted to go with him. Instead he stopped responding to my texts or answering my calls for the rest of the night and all morning. I didn't hear back from him until around 1 p.m. the next day. When did finally call he was very upset and told me to stop obsessive calling and texting and that he would get back to me when he's ready. He was yelling and he's never talked to me like that. I told him that I want to his baby and he said I'm not giving you no damn baby and hung up the phone. We've been going back and forth about it. I'm not sure what to do here. He hangs out a lot and rarely invites me. |

Someone proposed to my crush, I only seen my crush wear the ring on his left hand only once. Couple days after the proposal it's been on his right hand. The person who proposed to him switched the ring from left hand to right hand to left hand. I question if they are actually engaged? The person who proposed to him came to my work with their father and was extremely happy to see me. (This was before the proposal) they wanted to talk to me. Does it seem like they are actually engaged? Why would you switch the ring from your left to your right and back to your left hand? I thought the smell was fine but she kept insisting that it smelled bad and I should go ask for a replacement, I went to the cashier and my friend told them that my salad smelled bad and so the cashier smelled my salad and she say it did smell terrible so she would bring me another one. Whenever I text her she ignores me and tells me to shut up and she hates me. She says she's gonna block me on Snapchat but only uses me for streaks. When I was depressed she told me to kill myself and that I'm stupid and she copied everything I do like she literally has one friend in school. I keep trying to stay friends because we knew each other since 5th grade but she literally tells me to kill myself and to shut up whenever I text. I unfriended her on sc and blocked her on all social media except iMessage. She also talks behind my back and told my other friends in school I said things about them when I didn't. She's literally an anorexic Indian with social anxiety and I want to punch her. She'd been ditched by her friends and her phone was dead, so I ended up giving her a ride home, and her Mom treated me like some kind of hero, and later asked if I was interested in babysitting. So now I see her all the time. We became good friends. She opens up to me now, talking to me about school and boys and asking for advice on stuff that I don't think she talks to her Mom about, asking me not to tell her, like how she wants to go to Planned Parenthood...still not sure if I should break my promise on that or not. Cause she really trusts me now. Sometimes she falls asleep on my shoulder or calls me late at night. Like we talk as much as I do with some of my closest friends now, and when I mentioned her to my cousin, he misunderstood at first, and was like "Who's Hannah, huh? You gettin' some?" And I was like "Dude....no." Yeah don't worry it's nothing like that, like I don't think she has a crush on me or wants to date me or anything. Sometimes she'll come downstairs in her towel, or ask me what I think of certain outfits, but she's got a boyfriend. (Or whatever you'd call it at that age.) But is it weird or creepy to have a friend or close friend who's younger? Like, in sixth grade? It's pretty much the exception not the rule for me, most of my friends are early twenties. What's the deal with Hannah, anyway? Any advice? |
