Question: Ancient Israelite marriage? Posted: 08 Oct 2016 10:27 PM PDT I ve been reading from the Bible as well as other sources and I m still not clear on if, when ancient Israelites got married, that the groom s father was given money to basically "take the bride off of her own fathers hands" or if the groom s father paid the bride s father. If it s the former, why did the father of the groom need to be paid if they re already getting a new family member? Or am I just missing something entirely? Is it also true that if a woman was raped before getting married that the father would ask for a lower price for whatever groom would want her afterward? |

Question: I'm thinking about proposing, but I need help ladies!? Posted: 08 Oct 2016 05:17 PM PDT My girlfriend and I have been dating for a little over a year now, and I'm thinking about proposing soon, but I need some ideas on what to do! I really want to be able to make it a special experience for her, but I'm totally not a romantic person at all, so I have like no idea what kinds of things girls dream about when it comes to being proposed to. We don't really do anything super over the top when we're together, mostly just hang out and talk, go to dinner, or watch movies together, so any and all ideas (where to do it, how to make it a surprise, things I should do or have, anything really) anyone has will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!! |

Question: Shouldn't the bride pick a dress that is affordable for everyone ? Posted: 08 Oct 2016 12:28 PM PDT The dress that my friend wants everyone to purchase is 700 dollars. I unfortunately don't have that kind of money to spend on a dress I'll only wear for one day I'm also only 20 years old with a minimum wage paying job the bride is one of my good friends ive met in nursing school her wedding is 4 in a half months away would it be rude to drop out of the wedding party? I do want to explain to her that I'll still attend her wedding as a regular guest Whats a nice and appropriate way i can do this?? I also spoke with one of the other brides maids who said that this was rude to do i do want other's opinions i feel the bride should pick a dress affordable for everyone she even asked and we all agreed on 100-350 which is way over and i know it's soon to drop out but we literally started looking at dresses a month ago and she wants to add extra bows and jewelry, padding ect ect to the dress that brings up the price we barely found out the price last week |
Question: Which petticoat should I choose? Posted: 08 Oct 2016 12:06 PM PDT My wedding dress is a ball gown with train. Here is the link of my Morilee dress: https://www.morilee.com/product/bridal-wedding-dresses/morilee/classic-tulle-wedding-dress-with-crystal-beaded-alencon-lace-appliques-and-wide-scalloped-hemline/ I want to wear a petticoat because I think it would make it easier to dance. They will add bustle to the skirt. I was wondering if you think any of these petticoats work? Six hoop ball gown or a petticoat with train. Here are the petticoats that I found in Amazon. So, I can return if they do not work with the dress. 1- https://www.amazon.com/MISSYDRESS--line-Floor-length-Bridal-Petticoat/dp/B00CCESCLQ/ref=sr_1_11?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1475953424&sr=1-11&nodeID=7141123011&keywords=petticoat 2- https://www.amazon.com/Bridess-3-layer-Ruffled-Mermaid-Petticoat/dp/B018JGNF08/ref=sr_1_4?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1475953985&sr=1-4&nodeID=7141123011&keywords=petticoat+train I think I would buy this one from ebay. How do you like it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-Styles-A-Line-Ball-Gown-Bridal-Petticoat-Crinoline-Underskirt-Slips-White-HOT-/141121386951?var=&hash=item20db7d79c7:m:mzbrag9uwV8G94qhUoti1uw |

Question: Wtf is my brother's problem? Posted: 04 Oct 2016 10:03 AM PDT So about 30 minutes ago I was practicing guitar while singing and my brother suddenly yelled at me and from the tone of his voice he's really mad. He's literally a bum and has no job and he just drinks beer and eats all day. He finished collegedon 2013 and has never gotten a job ever since, not even once. His belly is big now and he hasn't been taking care of himself because he got depressed and I think until now he still is. His reasoning is that he doesn't want to be a slave/drone in a 9-5 job and he said he has no motivation to even work because it's just all pointless since we're poor. He even said, "Why the hell would I work? I don't have a plan to have kids because my genes are inferior." For months now he started treating me poorly since July, we used to be really closed though. He used to be very supportive of me but I can see in his eyes whenever I approach him he gives me that hateful look but I didn't do anything to him. He would walk away when I'm nearby. He said to me before he's jealous of me because I started having my passions and hobbies since I was in high school. He said he wish he was talented like me but every time I bring up the idea of me teaching him guitar he refuses, he says he's too old. I'm 20 and he's 26. What should I do :< ............... |
