I am a 30 year old woman from India, who is lawyer, and I have been in the country for 5 years. Over the years I adapted to American culture and made many great friends, but dating is still very hard. I am very tall and full figured at 6'7 300 pounds, and I still have an accent. I would ask out men and get rejected. I met this guy who lives in the neighboring apartment, whose 23 and works as a bartender and fitness instructor. He moved here from Italy and we developed a friendship being international and adapting to American culture. I give him life advice and am his older mentor he goes to about his problems. He is a VERY handsome man 6'2 220 pounds all muscle. After 6 months knowing him I admitted that I was attracted to him and asked if wanted to have sex. He said that I was not his type and he wasn't into women taller than him. I told him that I respected his boundaries and his preferences. I told him about my struggles dating, and he offered to help me with dating and Introduce me to other men. We still hangout as normal friends, and know each-others friends now. He respects the fact I have sexual feelings for him, and is ok with me touching myself when looking at his photos. I respect the fact he isnt sexually attracted to me. He constantly has women throwing themselves at him and sleeps with 2-3 new ones a week. I still struggle with men, but he is actively helping me. Even though there is one sided attraction, we still support each-other and have mutual friends.

We work together and honestly whenever we talk obviously looking at eachother with eye contact and as I continue to look him in th eeyes and talk then he manages to look away or look somewhere else then bring his gaze back or has difficulty to talk and keep looking me in the eyes. He always looks away randomly like at a wall then looks back at me or today i turned around and looked him straight in the eyes while talking and he looked up like wth lol. Why could this be? The other day he also said something like "yeah in this copany i'm not even my own bossy I said yes then he smiles saying well at least here I'm your boss" Then he looked at me and said you didn't like that did? I said no. He said I know i said how do you know? he swaid because no one can say anything to you. Not even your man smiling and looking down. I said yea i'm strong he has to respect me he said yeah but you have to lower your walls. I said yeah I have walls (but i was blown away that he even noticed this and thought about and brought it up) i was like yeah i'm very picky, no one is on my level. He said no one is on my level either i have walls too. I said well then how would you suggest to bring down my walls he said i don't know i have my walls up too. I said then why are you telling me to bring down my walls? he said because I'm working on mine too. Why is he acting like this?

They seem to support me in person but I found out recently that they just want to criticize me to other relatives, they had a fit about fox news on in a restaurant while I sat there quietly and was a little annoyed at why the relative was acting out, they look down on people that aren't well educated, that are not the 4.0 GPA type, and they did not like it when my brother joined the navy but assumed that he would quit school. They also make fun of Republicans, they deny that Jesus died on the cross and rose again, they are pro-lgbtq and get mad at people that are even kin but say that they do not think someones sexuality should be broadcasted, and are against pro-life people. I have prayed for them to believe in Jesus but idk if it is his will

Bueno empezaré a decir .. mi ex y yo terminamos el martes qué pasó . Bueno le empecé a decir cosas , de unas de esas me dijo que le dejara de hablar . No le hable después , me bloqueo en Facebook y en whatsapp . Tenía tentación de mandarle mensaje pero no lo hice porque yo lo hice antes . Bueno ayer como en la tarde me mando a decir esto : "Solo te quería contar y decir que tal ves algún día de estos nos miramos o no creo pero solo te quería decir que cambiare de número y que entre dos días me iré para los Estados Unidos donde mi papá y pues espero algún día verte sola mente ya no te quito tu tiempo ⏳" . Y no le creo nada . En las peleas que teníamos ante pasadas me decía que no me iba decir nada cuando cambiara de número y que me tendrá bloqueada . Bueno no se en que creer Ps; se que no se entiende nada de lo que dije pero trate de ponerlo bien en español .

What was so racist about them?

I'm African-American and I was light at birth, but got darker as I got older. Why does this happen and is it common? I am lighter than both of my parents who are both dark-skin and I am light to medium-skin. Is this commonly occur in the black race? Is it common to be lighter than both of your parents?
