I think this guy's friend told him that I don't like him that way and now he is avoiding me. (He used to make conversations and now doesnt). Why can't men and women be friends? I see him talking to his other female friends.

im 18 and i had no friends my entire life. I am a very shy person.. i guess i was used to being lonely.. im an only child so i was always by myself or with my parents.. when im home, i had my parents to talk to and i also had my dog who made me laugh all the time.. but now i go to college out of state and i pretty much dont talk at all during the day unless my parents call me and i just feel so lonely.. i started going to church to make friends but i cant blend in with them.. i tried to talk to people in class but they stop talking to me as always.. and im tired of being by myself. im embarassed and sad that no one likes me.. i go to places by myself, i eat by myself, i do hw by myself, i go to field trips by myself, i do projects by myself.. i suddenly just feel so sad and.i want to cry.. i just feel so tired so i just sleep.. i cant do my hw, i get annoyed easily, its hard for me to smile unless its really funny im starting to get suicidal thoughts and if i tell my parents this they will be so heartbroken and upset, they cant know about this.. i have only one friend to talk to about this but she doesnt really seem to understand.. i go to an art school and im just so bad at everything.. i cant draw, im not creative, idk how i got in the school anyway, idk why i wanted to major in art, idk what to do.. i did talk about this with my parents one time about me having social anxiety and depression but they took it as a joke and laughed it off and told me it was a normal phase of life.. they wont let me see a therapist or psychologist and i really want help.. im not sure if its weird to meet and talk to people online and be friends with them bc i know thats dangerous but i feel so lonely i just want to talk to someone and relieve my pain and stress.. everyday is the same.. i go to school, eat, do hw, sleep. on weekends i just stay in my room and just watch youtube videos and waste time. i just wish i had one friend who will greet me and talk to me in class..

I know this probably isn't the time and place to discuss my problems but, like, i seriously don't know what to do about fake friends. I had this 'friend' (let's name her bell) and my best friend sent me streaks on snap chat saying "respond if you want a tbh from me, girl 1, girl 2, and bell." So i responded. (keep in mind i'm 13, in the past 7 months i've been scouted for modeling by 3 agencies but my mom turned them down bc 'i need to focus on school' no matter how much i want it.) bell responds with something along these lines: "you're ugly, your hair is nasty (my hair is long) and you'll never get a modeling career or contract, quit trying.' girl 2 responds with 'damnn'. Bell then proceeds to send me streaks as if nothing has happened. In school she even acts as if we were friends.. what do i do? i don't wanna fight her or anything like most people tell me, i'm just not that type of girl. any other advice?

I have been going through a rough time and i have always went to my best friend for advice my best friend and i have became close in the past three years,but slowly we began to come closer in these last two weeks. My best friend and i have kissed a few times as it became closer for me to move away; my best friend turned into someone i never expected him to be. We have a friend who drinks almost every day. When I am around him, I'll have a glass of wine and before I finish that one, he's already had like 3-4 beers. This friend also abuses cocaine regularly. She also stopped hanging out with our mutual friends.. she's starting to hang out with friends she only knows. In situations when a friend of yours is crashing uninvited in your place while you are having breakfast. Or all of he takes her on our usual cycling rides, fishing and other things we used to do in our close circle. She feels totally uncomfortable and is like a total stranger . There was this guy standing besides, who had make up on, was wearing tight clothes, & he gave me that gay look, "biting his lip". I straight up ignored it and left the place asap. Okay, so I'm a sophomore in high school and I have this one girl in my group who is a total witch. Let's call her A. She enjoys making me feel bad about myself. Every time when I don't get something she has to make a snarky comment like, "that's because you're stupid." She has called me fat and ugly before when I know I'm not. She once even told me maybe my parents "dropped me on the head as a baby." Once things for sure, I can't stand her. Hi, I'm 14 (M), and my friend 13 (F), has an online friend who is 18 (M). We will call him B. Me and my friend like to play Splatoon, and whenever she is playing a battle, he always has to be in the same battle with her. I feel like he does not like me, as he constantly targets me in the game. He also tells her she is a "good girl", and a "silly girl". Her phone constantly lights up with notifications from him, and she has told me before he gets on her nerves. While I know I shouldn't throw myself into this, she has always been like a little sister to me, and I just worry something will happen. I feel like his life revolves around her, when he does not even know her in real life, and only knows her through a screen. Am I overreacting? Or should I be concerned?

So, I m currently in highschool, and I cracked a joke about drinking alcohol on a group chat I had. This group chat included my boyfriend, and my best friend. Turns out my boyfriend s mother reads his texts. She ended up freaking out and somehow turning the joke into me being an alcoholic. She ended up telling my best friend s parents, who are completely not allowing her to have any contact with me whatsoever. I have the name Emma. The most popular name in America. It sucks. I love the name Emma for other people, just not me. It's too bland for me. I love the nickname Bear. I always wear "bear buns."
