Posted: 17 Jan 2018 05:55 PM PST So, my friend lives in Nashville, Tennesee, and he recently moved into this apartment. And upstairs there are a people who are (some presumably are kids) who are running around, stomping, and banging and being loud up there and this persists for hours and even is just as loud, if not louder, when past midnight. My friend has attempted to talk to the polcie about it but they said that there is nothing they can do (even though I know that the police are lying about that, as that is not true). It has gotten so bad that he has been getting barely any sleep (if any at all) for the past couple weeks. Does anyone have any ideas or advice on how to help solve this problem? Also, he s attempted to tell them to be more quiet on several occasions. Usually they will say either that they will and still continue to be noisy or they will say "we ll try and keep it down, but you aint got no room to talk, ya ll loud all the ******* time". The latter being a complete lie, as yeah I know he can be loud at times, but nowhere near as loud as them (and even then he goes to bed at no later than 10pm so he s not noisy after midnight, unlike them), and I also know for sure of that as I ve played games online with him, and it was so loud I could hear it plain as day in my headset and it got so ridiculous that I had to stop because the banging noises gave me a headache rather quickly. |
Question: How do I stop being jealous over a certain friendships? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 05:53 PM PST So when ever I make a close friend I get very obsessive of what they think I don't really bother them with my thoughts and I'm not very clingy either but like I always feel that I'm not their friend because they pay more attention to others and o know they have other friends who are closer with them but I can't help to feel jealous in insecure and like I don't have many friends mostly because I'm really closed off, but like Idk how to explain it any better than this? |
Question: Were we ever really friends.? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 05:22 PM PST We've been lovers & friends for 3.5yrs. He told me his ex wants him back and he has feeling has for her and is confused. Im probably going to End things with him which would end our friendship. I love him too much to see him with someone else. I also hate losing someone I talk everyday to for hours, who I spend time with 2-4 times a week. We are each others shoulder, we share everything. He said if we ended and I stopped being his friend then I was never really his friend. Was I never a friend?. |
Question: What should i get for friend s birthday? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 04:58 PM PST my friend is turning 15, what should i get for her? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 04:55 PM PST I could hear them talking and the girl was being a brat. She was laughing with her friend. And I could hear the girl saying how she hates how her brother is her legal guardian. Her brother told them to quiet down but they didn't. He said now you're not having a sleepover. And the girl was saying really really harsh things. I think she deserved to be slapped but did she deserve it in front of other people. What do you think of this ??? |

Question: Can we get cool with our roommate, or is it too late? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 01:01 PM PST So, this is my first year in college and I have to live in residential halls since I'm not really from the area. I share a triple with two other guys. So on Move-in day, I started getting to know my roommates. One of them seemed really outgoing and kind of like me, but didn't really like to talk to others in the hall like me and my other roommate did, to which we've already come to be real good friends. However, he did the opposite and instead moved out the first quarter and completely ditched us. I was pretty salty about it because also no one in the hall got to know him. He seems pretty rude as well sometimes, not really giving any nice gestures and whatnot. This quarter however, he's decided to move back in and things are as awkward as they could possibly be. I'm not saying we need to be the best of friends, but is there anything we could do to break this awkwardness between him and me and my other roommate? Also one time some of his friends who I personally don't like told another friend of mine that he doesn't like me. So that's also another reason I don't bother talking to him as well. |

Question: Will I make friends at University? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 12:24 PM PST Hi. I'm in college now and throughout all my school years I never had a solid friend group (I'd hang out with a group of people, then hang out with a different group because somethings happened etc) At college I'm pretty lonely as nobody is sociable at all even if I try, so I may be leaving. Now I'm just wondering if I move to university and live there, do you guys think that I will find a solid friend group? And if any of you have found friends at uni please let me know. Thank you |
Question: Is this considered “cyber bullying”? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 11:40 AM PST This girl that picks on me in school kept giving me dirty looks then I messages her later and told her to fix her face and leave me the f alone. |

Question: Why would someone give you all the signs that they're into you, then go date someone else? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 09:33 AM PST This guy I'm close friends with seemed to have feelings for me, I did too but I didn't want to push him into anything he didn't want. We're still close friends and he always says how special I am to him but now he's got a gf that I didn't even know about until recently when I asked him. |
Posted: 17 Jan 2018 09:29 AM PST I told a friend that they had upset and hurt me over text. They replied that i shouldn't text them that because they may be "having a bad day". I am starting to think i should not have randomly confronted them.Thoughts? |
Question: I got my friend mad? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 08:39 AM PST So Today my friend said she wants to talk to me at a coffee shop so i said yes but then she actually called me to speak to me about lending her a big sum of money. I said NO straight away because i have the mortgage, bills to pay all myself as a single mom of two. Then she stormed off mad as hell she said never speak to me again. I called her name over and over but she just left. What should i do? |

Question: What to do about plans with friend? They never follow through annoyed and confused? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 07:16 AM PST Okay so one of my best friends never follows through on plans with me. She always says let's get together and here I get all excited clear my schedule and it doesn't happen. I try planning things in advance something weird happens. What do I do? It's just getting annoying and discouraging because I do want to hang out with her but it just doesn't follow through, do I ask on the day of or day before to get together? I mean what's the point of saying something and not going through on it in the first place? |
Question: Are people nicer/kinder to good looking people than ugly ones? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 06:52 AM PST Im a good looking guy (not to brag) and ive noticed that people treat me better for that and are nicer than what they are to others. Im also a kind person myself so that is likeable. |
Question: How to start a conversation? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 06:08 AM PST There's a girl who I know has many things in common as me. She seems really cool, I want to become her friend. How do I start a conversation about about our similar interests? You can't just start a conversation about that out of nowhere. Or maybe you can??? |
Posted: 17 Jan 2018 01:48 AM PST My freshman year instarted going to school "A". Now school A was a really highly rated public school, the top in its state. I didn't go to the middleschool the year before so i didnt know a whole lot of kids. I was looked down upon by almost everyone (no super-obvious flaws that turned people away) and this made my social lofe pretty boring. I was in sports but got no attention from the coaches because my parents werent a donor to the athletic fund, despite being a(n extremely) strong kid. This was for football. Halfway through the year, no one really cared for me as a friend, and everyone was a two-face to me at achool, amd outside of school refused to acknowledge me. I left the school at the end of the year to go back to a small private academy that I had went to the year before and fit it very well. Now, when i go to football games or even see people on the streets, they act like they dont know who i am despite (i thought) being close friends. Recently, a group of kids that were especially harsh at my attempts at friend-making (and some bullies) walked into a resturant and were sat down at a booth behind me. I had changed the way i looked a bit, so i didnt hear or know that they knew it was me, but since that day i have been having non-stop, extremely vivid dreams and signs of the school that i had left. I miss it and the football i played (and other sports) but i am happy im going to my current school. How can i get over this? |
Posted: 17 Jan 2018 01:37 AM PST Me and this guy had been acquaintances before and recently about 2 months ago we started becoming really good friends. He's always subtly flirted with me here and there but I didn't really pay much attention to it. Recently, we started talking more and more and i'm starting to like him. He'll text me every single day and tells me details about his day as well. When he's out with his friends he'll tell me where he is or if he's out with his family he'll send me pictures, etc. We've hung out like 2-3 times and the other day he was with a group of his friends when he FaceTimed me in front of them and then handed the phone to two of them for me to talk to as well. If i end the conversation by sending an emoji or something, he'll make it a point to start a conversation. At first when we were aquiantances, i noticed that when we would run into each other he would just give me a one armed side hug but ever since we've been talking more and all he's been giving me a tight hug and holding me for a good minute or so. The one time we hung out at his place, we just chilled and talked for over an hour. He's so respectful, hasn't made a move or anything. But on the other hand, he hasn't officially "asked me out" either. I've just been confused |
Question: How to stop bullying? How do I make myself be confident and strong? Posted: 17 Jan 2018 01:12 AM PST I'm being bullied. Why am I getting bullied? Is it because I'm ugly and not the thinnest? Is it because I'm shy, weak, and submissive? Is it because I'm not the best at speaking Japanese? Is it because of the way I smell? Does people think just because I have long hair doesn't mean that I don't take a shower? Is it because of something please tell me. Please tell me what to do because I'm tired. I'm tired of this happening every single day. It's not the WORST CASE SCENARIO. Sure I'm getting bullied VERBALLY but I'm human too. I have feelings. How do I become strong and confident? Strong and confident that I wouldn't care what they say or do to me. Please help me. I don't need any unnecesarily answers. Thank you. |
Question: Girls: How would you feel...? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 11:06 PM PST How would you feel if you met this amazing guy, but he had a girlfriend, and he said that he has been really unhappy with the relationship, and asked if you would wait on him to ask you out because he wanted to get out of his current relationship first? |
Question: What is this body language? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 10:26 PM PST I heard him talking to someone in the university hallway. When he passed by my class, I waved at him but he just put his hand on his mouth and quickly walked by. He didn't even wave back. Why is this? I'm sure he knows some other people in the class too. |
Question: Why Is My 'Friend' So Hypocritical? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 10:12 PM PST Anyways, so I'm a sophomore in highschool and I told this 'friend' of mine (I'll call her A) I wanted to see one of her friends' drawings (I'll call her friend B; friend B is also an old friend of mine) and she just replied with, "nah, she's just as bad as you are." So I told what she said to the other friend (B), and this friend (A) gets mad at me for telling on her and calls me 'immature.' Also (A) is mean to friend (B) in art class. Later on I get kind of upset at (B) for something she said to me but then we apologized. (A) consistently calls me stupid, or ugly, or just plainly insults me for no reason. But then she has the audacity to call me the immature and rude one. She also said I'm the one who should be nicer to my friends. This is getting ridiculous. What's her problem? Also I'm tired of her walking all over me and letting her get away with insulting me, so that's why I told on her to her friend because I want her to learn the consequences of her actions. |

Question: Why is my friend that’s a girl getting intimate with me? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 08:58 PM PST Hi my names colleen and I'm 14. I was having a sleepover with my friend Mia who is 13. We have been best friends forever and always talk and share stuff. So I asked her to borrow some socks so she let me. We were sitting in her bed and she started to get really close. She then told me to take my socks off. I said I didn't want to be then she said they were hers so I should give them to her. So I said fine but she has to take them off for me. She took them off and stared to tickle my feet. She then started to climb on top of me. I tried to get her off but she sat on my chest. She then took my shirt off and started to kiss me. I didn't mind it. We started to make out and she took her shirt off and pants too. She took my pants off and we made out and tickled eachother. Does this mean I'm lesbian? What should I do about her? |
Question: I don't want to be friends with my depressed best friend anymore? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 08:35 PM PST in the beginning we had an amazing friendship but, Over the years shes been more & more depressed&shes lately been having fam problems. iv always tried my best to help bt I cant do much since any advice I give, she just says is pointless.&because iv never dealt with a depressed friend b4 so its hard to come up with different solutions every time. I come up with just about any excuse to not go over anymore because I got tired of ALWAYS being the one to go over to see each other.&then she complains that we drift apart just because I dont go over to see her but its usually because im still in school&have classes&homework. shes home schooled btw.&overall shes such a negative and pessimistic person which I know is common in depressed people, but iv always been an optimistic person&hearing negative thoughts about life on the daily really gets me down sometimes. I know this makes me sound like such an ****** but I just got so tired of this friendship always being about her. I feel like I cant ever talk to her about my own stuff&family problems for advice because its always about her&her problems. we also dont get to do any stuff I like, just her because everything I like to do she deems as boring. I just dont want to leave her completely alone bc now that her bf broke up w/ her she says she has no one. I love her very much and dont want her to end her life which shes tried b4 but I also dont think this relationship is healthy for me, just her. |

Question: Drunk texts from ex. Should I reply? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 07:36 PM PST We dated for 3 years and he broke up with me 6 months ago cuz he didn't love me anymore. Last night I woke up from my nap to 3 texts from him. These are the texts in order: "I miss you so much. I regret breaking up with you. Please take me back.." "You should let me have some fun with you. You used to love me in bed for hours remember princess ;)" "I love you.." I still care about him a lot but he messed me up when he broke up with me out of nowhere. I don't want him back plus these texts are so DISRESPECTFUL. We never deleted each other off social media cuz I find that childish. I saw his snapchat story and him and his friends were taking shots so I know he was drunk.. |
Question: Could this woman I used to work with like me? Should I try asking her out? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 07:29 PM PST Back in the summer, I was interning at this bank. There was this cute woman (who is also a single mom) who asked me if I drink, if I have a girlfriend, and if I ever want kids. She also complimented my shirts from time to time. She along with the other workers who were mostly women said I should come back and visit them sometime, this was on my final day. I've been meaning to visit them but they're so busy there and with the holidays and everything. I was attracted to her back when I was interning but I didn't want to take the risk of making things awkward if she said no. I needed to intern to graduate. I like to think she was interested in me but I'm bad at reading signals from women. I have all of their business cards |
Question: How to tell someone to stop bugging you? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 07:14 PM PST So in calculus class, this girl next to me, whom I'm somewhat close with(but not best friend close) keeps bothering me in math class. Not as in bother, more like ask a question every thirty seconds. It's really annoying because I can't understand anything in math because she constantly asks me questions and then during quizzes or tests, I spend 3 hours studying since I have to learn the whole chapter again. She doesn't know simple equations or not even addition and multiplication, and she doesn't even know what freaking page we are on. I help her that much in math and she goes and gets an F on every test. And not to be rude and all, but her breath smells too, and it bugs me that she breaths in my face. She is just so clueless and I wish I can change my seat but theres no more seats left, its all full. I haven't seen anyone like this and I just want to straight up tell her that she should stop bugging me and ask the teacher ( which she has never asked.) Then when I she wants to copy my notes, I tell her I worked hard on writing this and then she calls me Rude in a mad way. I'm not your tutor and I already have a stressful life as is, and I can't teach you basic math that you needed to learn in sixth grade. Bonus: Always before a test, she tells me to facetime her and help her with math. I'm not your savior right before a test. Sorry , I just HAD TO get this off my my chest. Any advice ? |
Question: What does it mean when a guy asks if you want to hangout? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 07:11 PM PST There is a store that I go to and over a year or so ago. My mom and I started talking to one of the male cashiers. He just asked us questions like what were we doing for the weekend etc. Just general conversation just being polite. So one day I told him I was going to Massage Therapy school. So he told me that if I needed anyone to practice on I could practice on him. So I said ok and gave him my number awhile went by and he never called. So it's been about four months and the other day he called me. Asking when could I practice Massage on him. I told him that I am no longer in Massage Therapy school. Because I decided to change to something else. But I told him I may end up going back next year. So he asked me if I still remembered some of the things I learned I told him yes. So then he said he could come to my house and I could practice on him. I told him I lived with a roommate I actually still live with my parents. He doesn't have his own place but he said he will soon. So then he asks me if i want to hang out and I told him I would let him know. So I don't know what to think about this. I'm not overthinking it I'm just curious about what he wants. |
Question: I saw a cute guy but he didn't notice me? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 06:57 PM PST People always tell me I'm pretty etc but when things like this happen I wonder, he walked past me, I was at the checkout counter at the grocery store and he was entering and he didn't look left or right just kinda smiling to himself, I could tell he knew he was good looking does this mean I'm not good looking enough? |
Question: I have no friends, I'm so tired of being alone, I hate it. I'm just so done ugh!? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 06:48 PM PST I used to have so many friends before I moved to this stupid country called America where everyone is so fake and judgmental. Why can't people just be friends with me? I'm such a positive person but have lately been super awkward because of my social anxiety and depression due to NOT HAVING ANY FRIENDS!!! I just hate my life so much, I miss my old friends, I miss the old me, miss being happy :( |
Question: What to do about bestie?? 10pts? Posted: 16 Jan 2018 06:12 PM PST I have a bestie for years that I'm really cool with. She's going to be my child's god-mom soon. She's very kind. The thing is she complains/rant about everything from ppl, family, college, roommates repetitively for years. I don't mind the intimacy, but I don't need to know every detail of everyday through Snapchat. Ex.the girl at Starbucks bumped her, complete book of all her classes throughout each semester. I find myself complaining a lot also, but my mindset is changing with baby on the way. How do I kindly let her know I care, but I have my own life/college/work I'm quietly stressing over. |
