Question: What does this man want? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:59 PM PST I've been going to this store and I've been talking to this cashier. My mother and I talk to him while we are in line paying for our order. Sometimes he'll ask me what's new etc so I told him I was going to massage therapy school. And then he said I could practice on him. So I gave him my number and he said he would call. So he called me asking me to give him a massage and I told him I wasn't doing massage anymore and that I was in Dental school now. He asked me if I still remembered some things I've learned. So he asked me to hang out but I don't know what the man wants. I told him I'd think about it and call him back so I called him back and told him we could hangout next week. He said he'd call me back in the next few days to let me know since he's currently doing physical therapy. I just don't know what this man wants. |
Question: How do I get my friend to stop being clingy without hurting his feelings? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:47 PM PST I have this really good friend. We've been friends for a couple of years. He's somewhere on the Autism spectrum, but for the most part he's high functioning. You probably wouldn't be able to tell from hanging out with him, that he has it. Because of this, he doesn't really pick up on social cues and I try really hard to understand that and not get pissy with him. Last weekend, he (I'll call him Tim) and I and 4 other friends hung out for hours. Before Tim and his bestie showed up, my other friends were saying I unintentionally flirt with Tim too much (he has had a crush on me for a while, but he knows I don't see him that way). I told them to have a code word they'll say if I'm becoming too flirty. Throughout the night, he kept trying to poke me, even when my best friend was sitting between us. Every time my best friend would get up from the couch, Tim would come sit next to me and even lean on me, being very clingy. If I wasn't paying attention, he'd say something and include my name..even if it meant picking on me and making the others laugh at me. -_- It was really getting on my nerves and I tried to show that by not reacting to him much. The past couple days, he's been blowing up my FB notifications and trying to flirt and I am actually talking to this really great guy and I worry he's going to see Tim's flirty comments and think something is going on with me and Tim. How do I get Tim to stop being clingy without hurting his feelings? He's VERY sensitive. We're both 27. By the way, I have in fact told him I just see him as a friend and I talk to him about my guy issues lol. I call him "fam" and "buddy". Nothing I've said or done has implied interest back. Also, when he hugged me goodbye this past weekend, I swear to you his hand grazed my butt, but I didn't say anything as I didn't want to make it awkward. I'm not sure he even noticed he did it. |
Question: Boyfriend slowly replacing me with his best friend or am I just jealous? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:41 PM PST His best friend is a boy. I met my bf a month before college (dating 6 months now) and he knew this guy from a mutual friend but they didn't get close til November (we all go to the same school and live in the same area). We have a really good best friend type relationship and it was obvious we were eachothers best friends in a genuine friendship way on top of our amazing relationship. I get along with his friend too. Anyways, he has started calling him his best friend in front of me and saying the stuff he used to say to me. Yes, I admit, im jealous. His friend takes him to pats games and they're spending our schools break staying in hotels seeing basketball games. I'm not gonna see him at all that week. Over break, they hang out everyday, I see him usually twice a week. My bf has started inviting him to his family breakfasts, which I'm not invited to. Basically, he's doing all the things I wish I could do with him. He spends the same amount of time with each of us at school (if you count the time I sleep in his room). It's gotten to the point where he's spending half of my birthday at a sports bar with him. I'm jealous, but I know voicing my jealousy will only make him want to hang out with the funner person more. What do I do? I also don't wanna break up the bromance obviously. I just miss my best friend. |
Question: I eat lunch alone help? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:41 PM PST So the thing is i HAVE friends and I would love to sit with them but since I'm in middle school our teachers tell us what tables we can and can't sit at. It's humiliating since I have to sit with people I just am not friends with them so I look lonely. I usually draw or look at my phone but I'm just mad because it's so unfair. My best friend literally sits at the table in front of me and it's almost torture watching her get to sit and hang out with her friends and it makes me so sad. I literally asked to go to the bathroom and spent my whole lunch there :( |
Question: A friend hasn't replied to a text in a week -- should I text again? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:40 PM PST This guy and I were really good friends, then we tried being a couple, didn't work, we called it quits but no hard feelings. We go to the same uni, we both had some troubles our first year but by now, I have done all of my exams, he, however, still has two left. One of them was a week ago, so I asked him how it went - which I have done before and he usually replied within a day. But now, it's been a week and he hasn't even seen it. I'm wondering if he maybe just didn't want to talk about it because it didn't go well, or should I take this as a hint that he wants to cut contact with me because it's awkward because we tried dating or something (but that was 3 months ago, and, like I said, it was a mutual break up with no hard feelings)? Should I text again and remind him of the message (like "Hahah, ignoring me much?" or something like that) or should I just leave it be? |
Question: Will I get in-house suspension, suspended, or anything else for this? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:12 PM PST full story: There's this very obnoxious boy in my class. He's usually the "class clown" or the "kid who usually gets in trouble" I suppose (because he says things that considered "funny" which I find offensive and annoying. he also gets in trouble for fights with other students or misbehaving with a teacher). He usually says something like "so and so shut your bubblegum dumb dumb looking a** up" or "bet" or something I find obnoxious. He's said some annoying things about me and I wouldn't really care. Today, I wasn't having it and when that class I have with him rolled around, he shut my laptop off. I got so mad (because I had to sign back in again and try to retrieve my important tabs back up). I have anger issues so I pushed him. He then tripped and hit somewhere near his collarbone on the corner of a table. Usually girls push him and he doesn't get hurt, but when I did it he started tearing up on the ground. I panicked and immediately asked if he was okay. A lot of other people gathered around and he was grabbing onto his collarbone. Everyone looked at me and was kind of shocked or just giving me looks I really can't explain. My teacher took him out of the class and didn't say anything to me. She never told me I was in trouble or that I would go talk to her. All she did was tell the whole class about things like this happen everyday (pushing, shoving, being too loud). I'm not sure if the guy reported me for what I did, but it wasn't intentional for him to get hurt. |
Question: I don’t know how to talk to my friend? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 03:57 PM PST Okay so about six months ago my friend told me personal stuff about herself, and someone got on my phone and Screenshotted it. I also messaged her to much by accident(my own issue is the cause) she knows it was him but things have just been tense,I choked all semester to talked to her, and this semester I don't have any classes with her anymore, I want to talk to her but I can't as I don't see her or rarely see her anymore. |
Question: How to stop my brother from trying to hangout with my friends? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 03:39 PM PST So I have recently became very close with a group of people and we hangout daily. Previous to this I've gone literally 3 years without having people over or hangout with anyone. My brother has tons of friends and always has. Whenever my friends come over he try's to hangout with us and there is nothing I can do to stop him. My friends seem to like him a lot and voice it. I don't want my brother to become good friends with these people because they aren't his friends they are mine. he is also a very more laid back funny person and that's what I'm trying to be around them and it sets things up for comparison. I do get worried that they will want to hangout with him more or that he gets included in things that aren't at my house. Is there anyway to get him to stop without coming off as mean? |
Question: I have a crush on my boss? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 03:37 PM PST He teases me a lot (he teased me about a customer and refers to him as my boyfriend) or he'd remember things that I've said or overheard. The other day my coworker asked me how old I was and my boss immediately answered "23" and then looked at me nervously asking if he was right or close. Other times he'd throw random things at me (but he does it to everyone else so I'm not sure about this one) he's somewhat awkward around me when he talks, he tries to hold eye contact but other times he avoids it (I think he suspects I like him, I'm not too sure) Today, as I was making sandwiches at work, he walked over and stood really close to me and helped me make some sandwiches. I moved the slip (customers ticket to let us know what to put on the sandwich) and placed it closer to his sightline and he said "I almost stabbed you with the knife" and of course I laughed it off and he started rambling on about how he would have to drive me to the hospital. Then I told him he's probably going to go out drinking and laugh right after he drops me off. He said "No, I'm going to hang out with you for a little bit and see if you're ok then I'll go home" that's when I went "aw" He's such a sweet guy. Even though he's 14 years older with two kids (I'm 23 and he's 37) he's single though. Also, I won't stay with this company for long since I have other job interviews. So I'm hoping to start something, maybe friendship first. What do you guys think? |
Question: Why will my friend read her facebook messages , but not respond? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 02:33 PM PST I'm starting to think something is wrong with me because I was doing a friend break with this girl because she has been overly-sensitive and now that i think about it the things I say are kind of mean but when I say those type of things to my other friend they don't take it personally .But the thing is I was going to still be friends with her but our other friend never talks to me anymore and she claims its because she doesn't wanna be in the middle of it and they have just been hanging out and that just makes me mad now i dislike both of them....am i in the wrong..? |
Question: Is it racist to say "American friend" in my situation? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 02:28 PM PST I was born in Thailand but moved to the U.S. with my parents when I was six. Now, I'm in high school, yet still feel lost since my school has mainly blacks and whites; I'm pretty much the only SE/E Asian. When I travel to Thailand every summer(for six weeks), my relatives ask if I have any American friends. Do you think they're being racist? I'm a girl, not a guy. @LIEH |
Question: Why these kids at my school yell "James Town!" at me? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 01:13 PM PST Their not nice about it either. It's annoying. I feel bullied. What does it even mean? My name isn't even James. |
Question: Friend/colleague is acting weird and annoying.? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 01:10 PM PST She complains about people in her life, but when I try to talk about something that bothers me, she takes the side of the other person. And, unlike her, I only complain about incidents involving people not the people as such. I have often heard worse accounts of other people from her (than the things I would ever say). For example, she was telling me how happy she is that her ex-bf's roommate lost her job and went through a break up. And this roommate did nothing to her, except share an apartment with her ex-bf (she is jealous). To explain what happened - I went through a small surgical treatment on monday. She came to visit me. In fact this was more work for me, since i had to sit with her while she worked on the laptop (I could've slept meanwhile). I also had to go and get food from a floor below although I was advised to take rest (because she was busy to leave the computer). Then, when I was telling her about something which bothered me about my officemate, she immediately started saying "that is a small thing to make a big deal about". So I said I do not appreciate that and I could use some listening rather than criticism EVERYTIME. (This officemate and I get along well, despite these disagreements.) I said it nicely. Still she just got up and left! I never heard from her again. I do not regret saying that. But given that she holds grudges, I am worried. She also works with me, so I am afraid she might badmouth me or alienate me from others. What do you guys think? |

Question: How do you properly let friends go of 9 years? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 09:54 AM PST I'm sharing an apartment with one of them. Lease will be up in October. He was cool when we first began chilling out together. Met more of his friends and brother. I guess after awhile, I realised all if most of his friends are junkies in a way hopped up on pills. Me. I like to smoke weed and drop acid on weekends only. But I also work abd have a college degree. I'm 36 and my friends seem to kibda live life like a rap video and are hypocrites to each other. They cheat on women all the time yet get all butt hurt when a girl cheats on them. The brother who's older got with a woman who has 3 kids and now they got a kid together and he now says he doesnt like his girlfriend. Lmao. Omg what has life become and how do I gwt away from these people? |
Question: Help! My friend tried to kill him self....? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 09:05 AM PST Long story short. I'm living currently with two roommates. A friend and his girl. We've been living together for a year. A few months ago various things led up to his girlfriend cheating on him with two people. We remove those "friends" from our lives. They try to rebuild their relationship. From the outside, the looked fine again. But last night, his girl told me she's been scared to tell anyone but, that he had tried to kill his self a few times. Put a knife to his throat and the only way she said she could get the knife out of his hand was if she said she would kill herself too. Last few weeks he's been fine she says. But here's the thing. He doesn't exactly know the full truth. He thinks she slept with one friend and the other was just the start of a bj that stopped quickly. But the reality is she ****** that guy multiple times. She's scared to tell him now. Also, there may or may not have been lsd, and a very manipulative person involved that led up to all this **** going down. She isn't just a lousy whore. 2 years out of highschool. Young and dumb right now. But in my honest opinion i think she is sorry and would never do something like that again. It was just a really bad mistake. So to ask my question. Any advice? Should i confront him about his suicide attempts? Going behind her back? Or just try and let her tell him when the time is right? Or do you have something in mind? I just would hate myself if he actually did it and there was something i could've done. |
Question: How to deal with people mocking me behind my back? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 08:54 AM PST So I've had a feeling these sad people in college have been gossiping about me for some weeks now. They hang around with some people on my course I'm friendly with. Small things give it away. Body language, glances etc. Yesterday I decided I wanted to be certain so I left the table in the canteen and stopped behind a wall separating us. In the space of 30-40 seconds they had insulted my clothes, my interests and grades (although they're high so yeah, mock me for being smart like!). What was more hurtful was that my 'friends' were indifferent to it. One was quite happy to go along with it and the other did nothing to stop it. I'm fuming but know approaching someone in anger may not be the best approach. Any advice? |

Question: Why do boys giggle, gossip, spread rumors, back stab, exclude other boys and stir trouble? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 07:42 AM PST I mean in my school its mostly boys that act this way.. not girls. Boys will make fun of other boy's clothes, shoes, hair, social economic status. Last week some boys came up to me and said that my friend was making fun of me and calling me names behind my back and then a few hours later they went to my friend and told him I was insulting him behind his back! Also when some boys were making fun of my clothes and I decked him, he just laughed and then spread rumors that I am mentally ill. Since when do boys behave this way? |

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:55 AM PST I don't have a key to this room but my coworker is allowed to have he key, but I needed something and I was suppose to get something from the room so my coworker gave me the key for the morning. Anyways he came back and when I told him I am not suppose to have my own key to the room and only you do, he said "maybe I need to check your pockets" in a joking way. Was that flirting or just being friendly as a coworker? Hard to figure out... |

Question: What should I do with this 'friend'? Posted: 23 Jan 2018 07:33 PM PST My 'best friend' since middle school who is 19 years old started dating a 14 year old last summer. I personally think it's weird and obviously illegal to an extent but he has been ignoring me and lying to me more and more just to do things with her. Should I just drop him or what? |
Posted: 23 Jan 2018 07:19 PM PST no one seems to realize that i can't be around this person anymore. i've tried to ask 2 people for help and they only end up making it worse. i cant explain the feeling this person makes me feel. i need someone to help me with this situation. the person won't stop clinging onto the friendship. i've tried to stop talking to them for days going on to weeks and they still won't leave me alone. and in doing that it caused questions as to why i'm not hanging out with them and i can't tell people why because everyone i know is a blab mouth and also friends with the person. the person is also in my friend group obviously so i'll never be able to escape this. i need some advice please. |
Posted: 23 Jan 2018 06:25 PM PST For the holidays, got a bird house as a gift-put it up on a stake. Left town, when I returned, this neighbor has the same color bird house (LOL), sitting on a table on her front porch. I've seen her open her blinds and take pictures with her phone of my yard many times. What is this? It's getting creepy! Don't give me the flattery thing. I think it's jealously or something. A hater? What do you think about this small but weird problem? |

Question: Why do I feel this way? Posted: 23 Jan 2018 06:06 PM PST A friend of mine that I see sometimes hang out with cane over the other day and we talked about our friends (who are now my old friends of the past) for a little bit. He even mentioned one of my old friends that I used to like with him saying we used to like each other (when it wasn't mutual). After that, we didn't speak of them again, but ever since that day, I've been like on a nostalgia attack and can't stop thinking about it. I've been stalking a few of my old friends mentioned above and I just have this rush feeling inside my stomach, almost as if I'm in love? What is this? |
