The only class I really have bad social anxiety is in my 7th period because the 3 people on my table are all facing me and it just makes me so anxious. I can't even talk or make eye contact with them. Or when I try to talk to them it just gets awkward and I've known them for 6 months. I have never had to deal with problems like this, I've always been a very talkative and confident person but my face gets super red when they talk to me and I literally can't make eye contact with them... like at all. Before I go to that class I tell myself "You can do this, you've known them for so long, just talk and stop being so awkward and nervous" but I just can't LOL. It's kind of embarrassing tbh, when you know people for that long and still get nervous and anxiety when talking to them, it's super awkward. I hate having social anxiety, it's ruining my life. They're literally the nicest people on earth and I love them so much but I just can't talk to them, like what?? I also can't really make any friends outside that class either because of my stupid social anxiety.. HELP?!!!

My friends (who are 13 and 14) have been staying at an empty house over the weekends and smoking weed, drinking vodka, and vaping. I told them to stop, but they think I'm just a dumb loser who's trying to stop their fun. A lot of my family abuses drugs and alcohol, and I just don't want them to end up like that. How can I tell them without seeming too controlling and mean?

I have two guy friends who I hang out with a lot and I kid you not, they always undermine me and knock me. For example I just went from tha IPhone 4s to the 8 Plus and they said my iPhone is wack I should of gotten 'android' etc when both their phones are old. My friend mentioned a story where he knew i was there (it was us 3) and he said he doesn't remember who else was with them (leaving me out on purpose). When I got a new job, I got $800 worth of free clothes in the store for my uniform, and they laughed in my face and said 'hahha you only have 6 clothing items' when that was the store standard. I'm getting real tiredness of them knocking me on my accomplishments. Are they jealous?

I heard him talking to someone in the university hallway. When he passed by my class, I waved at him but he just put his hand on his mouth and quickly walked by. He didn't even wave back. Why is this? I'm sure he knows some other people in the class too.

There is a store that I go to and over a year or so ago. My mom and I started talking to one of the male cashiers. He just asked us questions like what were we doing for the weekend etc. Just general conversation just being polite. So one day I told him I was going to Massage Therapy school. So he told me that if I needed anyone to practice on I could practice on him. So I said ok and gave him my number awhile went by and he never called. So it's been about four months and the other day he called me. Asking when could I practice Massage on him. I told him that I am no longer in Massage Therapy school. Because I decided to change to something else. But I told him I may end up going back next year. So he asked me if I still remembered some of the things I learned I told him yes. So then he said he could come to my house and I could practice on him. I told him I lived with a roommate I actually still live with my parents. He doesn't have his own place but he said he will soon. So then he asks me if i want to hang out and I told him I would let him know. So I don't know what to think about this. I'm not overthinking it I'm just curious about what he wants.

So this fall I moved into college and it hasn't been one of the best experiences with one of my roommates. Things got pretty worse after that. Me and the other roommate who I do not have the issue with became good friends with me and have had a good time thus far. He moved out for the first quarter, and didn't come back almost the whole time. At that point, me and my other roommate decided to just take the whole room as ours, and asked him if it was ok and he was fine with it. He moved back in for this winter quarter and things have been pretty shaky. First of, it's our sleeping schedules that have taken a toll. While we go to sleep at around 10PM, he usually comes back at around 1-3 AM and stays asleep almost the whole morning, and although my roommate tends to be quiet, I don't feel like I need to be quiet for him to sleep because of his bad habits of sleeping. The worse part is, we don't even talk to him. He's never spoken to us the first quarter, so it's sort of like winter quarter was our first time living together. It's really uncomfortable at times, and I don't think me and my roommate have to in a sense deal with this issue. I was thinking maybe call Residential Services to switch him him out and give us a better roommate. I'd be happy to have another roommate that would talk to us and be complaint. But at the same time I don't feel he's done anything too extreme to be moved. In the end he did pay to stay here, so I can't just "kick him out" NOTE: I don't have any intentions of kicking him out, as I can't do so unless something bad goes on, obviously. So I apologize for the misunderstanding. Another point to take into account: A couple of months ago I was at the gym and some of his friends came over and wanted to talk to me. According to one of my friends, they said to him that he doesn't like me. Although this may or may not be true, that's surely something I do want to take into account.

My brother and I have to babysit this total brat all the time.It is really ruining my social life. I can barely study because we have to watch this stupid kid.I am a teenager and this is so unfair. He is always walking in on us when we are having sex with our dates. His mom is never home and we always have to be with the brat. He doesn't know how to do stuff that we are good at and we both end up arguing with him.My mom told me to deal with it because we are getting free food and everything. We also have to pick up the house all the time.Sometimes I can bully him into cleaning, but his mom figures out he did it all by himself. He is 7 and has a nicer phone than my mom. Sometimes I take it off of him because I can and he gets really pissed. I tattle on him a lot and his mom always believes me, but he gets me back.He told on us both for having a huge party and locking him in the laundryroom. My brother lied and told his mom he did something bad so she shipped him off to his dads for a week, but he is back. How do I get rid of him permanently? Also his relatives call and visit and don't like how we act?Can they call the police on us? We have both tried to tell them our point of view but they don't seem to believe us? I am homeschooled, so we like never get a break. If we try to sneak off without the kid he finds out and throws and fit so he can come.I do feel a tiny bit bad for him because his mom never spends time with him. no relation. I've known this guy for a couple years, we met online. We both don't have a license right now (for different reasons), so we've never met, especially since he lives an hour and a half away. He's had feelings for me for a while and it even got to the point where he confessed his "love" for me. He said it wasn't puppy love, that he really loves me. He is a VERY negative person and I've told him a few times that I don't like negative people, but he still remains negative and then complains about not being able to find love (hm I wonder why he can't!). I'm just so freaking done with him, but I don't know how to ditch him without hurting his feelings. My friend is usually always sad about something and it actually makes me upset? I'm always the one she gets to lean on and I ask nothing of her but for her to listen to my problems, and she never does. I understand that she has problems of her own but for her to just flat out not listen to my problems hurts me. It's bad enough that I have to bear the weight of her problems too. Ugh.. My friend had her birthday party last week. Since she loves palm trees and the beach, everyone coming has to wear blue or green aloha shirts. So at her big 21st bday party, out of 60 people..........ME AND 5 OTHER PEOPLE were the only ONES wearing BLUE!!!!!!! It just felt weird that while i was talking to my friends, I was the only blue guy.

My best mate from childhood started using drugs (the hard stuff) and ended up losing everything. Him, his wife, and 19 year old daughter moved into my basement because they were homeless. I did not charge them anything for a year but then he started stealing from me, and later I found drugs hidden in my shed where he spent most of his time. I contacted the police and when arrived they found a gun on him, so he has an automatic 5 years in jail. I had a fling with his wife for a few weeks but I found out that she was using drugs too. She stated to look horrible and now she is strung out and living on the street. His daughter is a good girl, and we have developed feelings for each other. She stays in my room now and we have been living as a couple for 3 months. Some days I feel guilty even though I didn't contribute to their downfall. This sounds like a movie to type all of this but I never thought that things would end up this way.

So im not a total weirdo. I do have some friends, i get along with most people, im friendly and i do have goals/go to college. I am totally capable of behaving very normal- as society accepts it. But the real me is just kind of strange. I dont really know how to describe it but i am just different, and i never really noticed it until everyone constantly mentioned how weird i am. It doesnt offend me, i actually like it. But what i dont like is that i feel people dont take me seriously sometimes, or im just that odd person to have around in the group but im not really important, or im completely excluded from everything because im different than the rest of the group. Ive always had difficulty fitting in which is why i wonder if i should work on being more "normal?" so im finally accepted? Whenever we hangout she kind of vents to me a lot, but when I have anything to say she doesn't really become interested in what I have to say. Sometimes I speak and she interrupts me, or she'll start talking to someone else when im talking and forget I was saying anything all together. I feel like she doesn't really care about a whole lot about me. I dont know how to feel because she always has helped me out and been a good friend to me, but I do find it rare she really cares about listening to me say anything. Me and this guy had been acquaintances before and recently about 2 months ago we started becoming really good friends. He's always subtly flirted with me here and there but I didn't really pay much attention to it. Recently, we started talking more and more and i'm starting to like him. When he's out with his friends he'll tell me where he is or if he's out with his family he'll send me pictures, etc. We've hung out like 2-3 times and the other day he was with a group of his friends when he FaceTimed me in front of them and then handed the phone to two of them for me to talk to as well. If i end the conversation by sending an emoji or something, he'll make it a point to start a conversation. At first when we were aquiantances, i noticed that when we would run into each other he would just give me a one armed side hug but ever since we've been talking more and all he's been giving me a tight hug and holding me for a good minute or so. The one time we hung out at his place, we just chilled and talked for over an hour. He's so respectful, hasn't made a move or anything. But on the other hand, he hasn't officially "asked me out" either. I've just been confused

To make it clear I used to be friends and date people online, I was really lonely then. I didn't have very many friends in real life and I lived in a small town isolated away from people and my parents didn't let me go anywhere besides school and back. I came across the wrong people online. For instance I had this ex who two timed me with another girl on there and it turned into hell in a hand basket and she's been stalking me online for the past two years and my ex has been using profiles to try and contact me and he gives it away by saying " Hi I'm from Egypt" so I just block him. And that's not the only person there was another guy who I talked to for some period of time contacts me every now and again because he's a creepy perv who's bored. As of now I stopped interacting with strangers, I moved out on my own and met people in person. I'm now in a relationship, pregnant and due in two months. My point is that I don't want contact with these people at all! I just want to live my life and use social media in peace without people from my past. I regret talking to people online because they don't want to back off.

My friend and I have been good friends the last 6 years. We both went off to college and seem to be slowly drifting apart. However, our colleges are only about 20 minutes away from each other so we try to see each other once a month but it doesn't help much. A little over a year ago, in our senior year of high school, he started dating a 14 year old girl as he was 18. They are still dating and the longer he dates her the more he ignores my messages and lies to me about hanging out or talking because of her. Next month, he got our old high school to take him and a few other of our friends (with the rest of the school) to LA for a week trip but I was never invited or even informed by him.
