Question: Can you help with this? Posted: 25 Jan 2018 01:23 PM PST girl frustrated cus the guy isn't in her life? They were talking bout weddings, and she says there's no hope for her getting married, and she's into someone. Do you think she is saying that because she wants to marry him, and her mum says never say never? Is her mum comforting her? ☆ Sent from iOS Dr. Know! 1.1.04 |
Posted: 25 Jan 2018 11:48 AM PST My ex husband (father of my children) has never been your typical dad. He sees his kids once a week for a couple of hours and will often drop them off early if something else comes up. I have no issues with this however my husband gives me a hard time saying I should require my ex husband to take his children for the visits he's scheduled for and not let him off easy. This is also so I will have time to run my errands and get my work done, etc. My husband also seems annoyed when my ex calls to speak to his kids before bed every night for a few minutes. My husband says this is invasive and his kids should call him if they want to, not the other way around. Is my husband being controlling? My ex is just trying to be a good father to his kids. |
Question: How to deal with a clingy mother? Posted: 25 Jan 2018 10:00 AM PST My mother is single and has been for over 20 years with the exception of an on again off again guy she's been dating well over 40 years. I'm 27 and now dating someone that's very special and things are getting serious. While she likes him it seems she's now doing everything in her power to cling to both me and my sister but more so me since my sister is married and has a family. It's beginning to make me miserable and I find myself getting easily irritated with her and in turn it makes me feel bad. I don't want to say no to things she asks me to do with her so that I don't hurt her feelings but at the same time my patience has grown short and it almost feels as though resentment toward her is beginning to develop. She has a sister to go out and do things with but never does because she clings to my sister and I so tightly. Any time I do have some sort of disagreement or express how I don't want to do something she guilt trips me about putting me through college as a single parent and brings up things she did for me and may not have necessarily wanted to. It would be different if my mother were the positive laid back type but she isn't. She's a good and giving person but she's also typically negative and very controlling but doesn't see it at all. I don't want to disrespect her but I'm feeling smothered. |

Question: Dont like child's mothers boyfriend! He's a cop? Posted: 25 Jan 2018 07:52 AM PST My ex, my child's mother, we were never married. She is dating a cop, and I don't like him. He seems to have a cocky attitude with me. All my ex says well he more of a father then you have been. All because he takes them out the movies, and other family events. . He's always over at her place, and hes always helping her family. Its My job to doing family things. He makes me look bad because he forks over money before I get a chance. Yet he just has a cocky attitude with me, and just had to drop by on my visit to bring my ex coffee. He claims he was on Patrol. Says after he brings a coffee, and hot chocolate for my ex to call if she needs anything while he looks at me. I don't like him, and throwing money towards my child. That means to has a gun in the house they decide to live together. |
Posted: 25 Jan 2018 06:51 AM PST So, I live in a 1 room door with a shared bathroom, and we recently started our 2nd semester. While I have to wake up early on MWF, she gets to sleep late and when she wakes up early on TTH, I get to sleep late. At least that's what I hoping when I created my schedule. However, on her early mornings, she's gotten a new habit of microwaving her food atfrom 6am-7am. Since its one one room, I sleep right next to the microwave and it has not failed that I've woken up to it. She also has a habit of opening the curtains so she has light in the room to do her makeup. Would it be unreasonable to set hours for the microwave? I find it a bit inconsiderate, especially because when it's my days to wake up early I try to make every accomadation in my power to stay quiet. I understand she needs breakfast, but there's also a number of options that don't need to be microwaved. What especially bothers me is I know she's not even TRYING because she doesn't even attempt to stop it before the ending beeps. What should I do in this situation? Do I talk to her about it? Or do I just suck it up and accept the fact i won't be able to sleep in this semester? |
Question: What are the effects on a young girl growing up with no mom.? Posted: 25 Jan 2018 05:02 AM PST My gf of 8yrs was abandon by her mom at her dads at 10yrs old only to pop back when she was 16. What kind of effect could that have on a girl. Me being a male I don't understand fully. |
Question: How do I get my mom to back off? Posted: 25 Jan 2018 02:19 AM PST My mom has always been very strict simply because I'm a girl (15 btw). I can't even go outside by myself, because apparently (in her delusional mind) every man out there is a rapist or sex trafficker. And honestly, I'm scared to go outside by myself anyway, thanks to her. She's been instilling this fear for years. I'm worried... How the heck am I going to be able to be independent and function on my own as an adult?! |
