All of my friends have special nicknames, inside jokes, and secrets that they share together. But when I try to join the conversation, it's as if I'm invisible and they continue to ignore me. Then when I do find out something, I get kind of excited, but they say I should've already known.

Hello everyone im 15 y/o and recently Ive been charged with some serious charges and gotta spend 6-12 months in a juvenile detention. Im white, 130 lbs and 5'9. Since im really really skinny and weak i fear i might get gang-raped in the showers or something. if youve been in a similar sitautuion like me please give me some advice/tips. Ive been thinking of joining a neonazi gang or smt since im white and might need protection (im not racist my best friends are black) but idk tell me if its a good or bad idea. Please be serious about this and tell me whats best, thanks.

My best friend is straight and I admitted to having a little crush on her, or I'm not exactly sure what it means because I've never sexually attracted to girls either, but only towards my best friend do I just want to cuddle with her and be with her all the time. We have kissed a few times, like a quick peck, but I've never wanted more than that. But, the other day she told me that sometimes she pictures her cuddling with me or wishing i was there to cuddle with her and then said "is that weird" and of course i said no because i think about it too all the time. But also when we talk and lay down or are with eachother she will play with her lips a lot, like she will hide them or sometimes bite the bottom lip and them hide them again. Is this flirting or are we just really close?

For the past couple years, different friends have just dropped me, either suddenly or gradually. People are so fickle. They act like they care about you, but then they get bored i guess and just leave for new friends (or for no reason that I can see). I'm really sensitive and it always hurts my feelings a lot if something like that happens, or if people are even just mean. I have some friends now and with them things have been going downhill too and I just don't want to go through it slowly anymore, and I decided I'm going to just be the one to slowly lose contact with them this time. I'm sick of people like this. I have one friend I still consider a best friend but other than that I'm pretty much just talking to acquaintances and stuff and ghosting my "friends." Is it wrong?

They overly use the word 'gay' They would accuse someone of being gay or stupid and harass them. They might say 'you're not a man, or call you a male b I t c h' Now I don't know where they get this from, They would move their hand back and fourth across their chest and bully somebody. They would make weird sounds in the persons ear while bullying that person, and they would make weird hand gestures when bullying somebody such as moving their finger across their face and made werd sounds. They do all other types of bullying I don't know where they get it from. They intellectually bully and ruin your reputation also, and break your stuff. They would walk up to you and call you out for no particular reason. They seem to only talk about chicks and beer, sports and they drive trucks that has provocative material on it. Sometimes they might try to dress and act like a hipster.

My one and only friend is a boring texter. Here is an example Me: hey, what are you doing? Him: nothing Me: same Him: lool Me: I'm bored Him: me too Me: I'm going to go eat something for dinner now. What should I do? Should I stop being his friend because he is so boring?

Ik, ik, in order to make friends you have to talk to people... duh!! But, first of all everyone thinks I'm super awkward and it's kind of too late to show people that I'm not and second of all, I can't even bring myself to talk to others because of my anxiety. It's so hard. No it's not because I'm shy, it's because I have really bad social anxiety. I've joined clubs but no one wants to be friends with me. Before I moved here to the states I had loads of best friends, then everything changed when I moved here. Everyone just judges you and doesn't like you for no reason. I'm literally the most positive person ever and so fun to hangout with but no one sees that in me. I literally have 0 friends.. 0!! I have 0 friends!! I have nobody to talk to, nobody to hangout with, nobody to even laugh with and I'm only 14 :( I'm just a normal girl. I miss the old me, I used to be so funny and happy when I had a lot of friends.. now I'm just depressed and lonely. Not having friends is really ruining my life and I don't know how to change it. And I'm actually looking for serious answers, don't just tell me to "talk" or "grow up" or "stop being a baby" or "join clubs" I've heard all those things before, I just need some real advice, thank you. And just want to let you guys know that it was EASY for me to make friends until I moved here. I had a dozen of friends and was living a great life, sadly everything has changed :( Any advice?

We're both interns in this great marketing and advertising event planning firm. This girl *Lily is awful, though. She simply cannot stay in her own lane. She has butted in on my projects multiple times, texting me and calling me to make suggestions that sound more like commands. I never follow them, of course. They're not even good ideas. I really don't know what her deal is, she just barely got this internship. In fact, the only reason she got it is because one intern dropped it at the last minute. She has called people stupid to their face, she can't talk without a bitchy tone, and is just downright awful. I've never met anyone bitchier than her, honestly. Her redeeming quality is that she was HIGH SCHOOL student congress president, she talks about it non stop. Fun fact: I was high school student congress president, too. Another fun fact? We're 22 years old. High school was FOUR YEARS ago, she seriously needs to DROP IT. I'm normally an incredibly patient person, but it's so hard for me to be patient with her. It's gotten to the point where my blood literally feels like it's boiling whenever I'm around her. If anyone has advice, I would love it. I'm worried I'm just going to snap at her one day and say something I'm going to regret... Thanks!

When I was younger, My cousins and I had a friend named Kate Harrison. One night we went walking out all night. At around 1 am a dark red ford van pulled up and she got inside. we never saw her again. My cousin Katy who was with us that night, acts like she doesn't remember her, but you don't just forget about your best friend. Only me and my other cousin remember her. My friend asked me if I could give her 200 dollars to go to Mexico. she claims she will pay me back and she says she really wants to go but she has to pay her car insurance. My birthday is in 2 weeks and I'm going to Paris. I really don't like loaning people money plus my birthday is coming up. Am I being a bad friend.

About four years ago someone who I used to consider a best friend (I had known her for close to a decade) one day just ghosted me with no explanation. The really unusual thing is she didn t just ghost me, she ghosted her own family and everyone else we used to associate together with. She went so far as to block me on Facebook and moved with her husband so I have no way to contact her. To this day, her family will reach out to me every once in a while and ask: "have you heard anything from Teresa?" And the answer is always the same- no, I haven t heard anything from her in years. But, the last couple years every so often my dreams are haunted by her. I dream of seeing her again, talking to her again, or her running away from me upon seeing me. I understand there must be a reason she literally ghosted everyone she used to know and I ve accepted what she did and have since moved on in my life, but I still just wish I knew why. If I knew why I think my dreams about her would stop & I could find peace. The whole situation is just really strange and it s been bothering me for years. What gives?

I've had conflicts with people before, some of them serious enough that I really don't want anything to do with them anymore. It makes me feel bad when I even think of them sometimes. But one of my friends likes to talk about how great these other people are (that I don't get along with) and how he's going to do things with them and how they're great friends to him and stuff. I guess it's petty but I really don't want to hear anything about them.

There is a store that I go to and over a year or so ago. My mom and I started talking to one of the male cashiers. He just asked us questions like what were we doing for the weekend etc. Just general conversation just being polite. So one day I told him I was going to Massage Therapy school. So he told me that if I needed anyone to practice on I could practice on him. So I said ok and gave him my number awhile went by and he never called. So it's been about four months and the other day he called me. Asking when could I practice Massage on him. I told him that I am no longer in Massage Therapy school. Because I decided to change to something else. But I told him I may end up going back next year. So he asked me if I still remembered some of the things I learned I told him yes. So then he said he could come to my house and I could practice on him. I told him I lived with a roommate I actually still live with my parents. He doesn't have his own place but he said he will soon. So then he asks me if i want to hang out and I told him I would let him know. So I don't know what to think about this. I'm not overthinking it I'm just curious about what he wants.

Im in 10th grade and it's the middle of the year and I'm switching from private to public. At school I only have 2 friends, I have one class with them and I'm lonely till schools over, but I'm comfortable there. My best friend goes to my local public school but we probably won't have any classes together. Lunch is so intimidating because I don't know if I'll have the same lunch period as her and I cant leave campus so I won't look like a loner. So for my birthday and my friends birthday he invited me and like 6 other guys over to his house to smoke. Let's fast forward a few hours later and we're all extremely high. I smoked the most so when we all went inside I passed out. So one of my friends decides it's funny to put his balls on my forehead. So he does that and my other friends record this while I'm asleep. Then another friend took my phone and put my finger print in it and sent a bunch of embarrassing photos of myself to their phones and sent them to each other. When morning comes I wake up and they're all laughing at me asking me what I remember from last night. Eventually they fill me in on all the mean **** they did to me and I got pissed off just like any normal person. They said they wouldn't share any of it but the next day they're sending it to our group chats and making fun of me and it just pisses me off so much. Like it was my birthday and they did all that **** and when I ask them to delete it they won't. They pretend to post it on their stories on sc and get me super paranoid and idk why. Not all of them are messing with me but no one will stick up for me. They're making it seem like I'm over reacting when I forgave them but they just keep pushing it.

I grew up not really having a friend. From the time I was 6 my "best friend" would move away. If I had 1 or 2 friends I was close to in school the teachers would separate us but let the other clicks rock. So in my adult life I look around and I have no friends. It doesn't help that my husband doesn't allow me any freedom. It's just work, take my child to school and home. I can't even hold long conversations with my mom. Any type of "friend" I have just stays at work and it's nothing more. What is wrong with me that I can't make 1 genuine friendship. I mean I understand my marriage isn't something ppl want to be around but I just feel damn what kind of life is this with out a sole to confide in. I was looking for a penpal at one point, someone to talk to or vent to when I was stressed.I tried "penpal" sites but instead of penpals it was used as a dating site. So I tried dating sites for penpals.I tried finding someone in the military to penpal, at least I could bring cheer to them if they were overseas.But the only sites I found were dating sites and care package sites.So I found sites for inmate penpals. I wrote to a few Incase one didn't write back.One did, he was in prison for petty charges, nothing horrible or anything.The other two also did.I let them know they weren't the only penpal I had.I fell off with the first one, as getting one email saying "tell me about your day"...and not telling me anything about their day or literally anything at all got tiring.The second one had been in prison on and off for small things since he was 12, and he stated he wanted to create a clothing brand, be a tattoo artist, and own a food stand.He was overwhelming.The third one and I also fell off.Ioriginally looked for a penpal as I have anxiety and depression and get stressed easily.I had read online repeatedly that having someone to talk/write to also in stressful situations could help. The mental health penpal websites had no one in them. I don't write any if the inmates anymore. My family doesn't know, and I don't plan in telling them. But I was wondering people's opinions. Would you one day tell you future SO that you'd once penpal to inmates? Or keep it to yourself? Thanks!

If anyone knew how desperate I was to make a friend they probably wouldn't even want to be my friend Nevertheless I am 21 and I just transferred to a new school and I am getting oppurntunities to finally make friends something I failed at at my old school. However, despite how eager I am beforehand to make friends prior to a scheduled meeting of sorts I find myself at lost at how to make friends and/or just closing off and justifying it in my head that I dont need friends and I dont need to speak to anyone, but once I find myself all alone again I am sad. I guess what I am asking is how can I open up more without losing sight of myself...I mean I do have a personality that perhaps people just don't gravitate to should I keep basking in misery and just cling on hopeless hope that I will find that right person (as a friend) or should I change myself at 21 with no guidance really to help me? I am soooo confused and lost and tired of everything.

Do you drink, do you have a girlfriend, and do you ever want kids? I know people like to be sociable and get to know people but those questions sound a little personal to me in my opinion. I'm not saying it's innapropriate to ask someone those questions. When I was interning, a woman I worked with asked me those questions. I like to think she was into me but I felt like she would have given me her number if she was.

Okay so I'm here thinking I should talk to my best about this but I don't want her to think I don't like him or I'm not happy for her but she's only 18 they been together for a year and a month and I'm just worried that it's too soon and to the fact that the wedding they want is not going to happen they want a big wedding and to the fact they both don't get paid that much they work at a hotel (housekeeping) idk if I should talk to her about it because it seem like I'm the only one that it's too soon and her parents said it's okay and they talking about having a child when they hardly can't afford food and they house and pay the bills I'm just worried am I over reacting or am I right
