My upcoming roommate is a pretty big marijuana user. I don't really smoke myself, however, I am worried that if he were to get caught or his paraphernalia was found in our dorm, I would get in a lot of trouble as well. We are good friends, however, If I were to leave /switch rooms, my friends would probably call me a b*tch and I would probably ruin my friendships because they would know full well on why I switched rooms. So in school we had to write an essay about a friend who's our hero and I wrote about my guy best friend. Okay so i have a friend/coworker at work named Angela. She is sometimes really nice but she has had some moments where she has been so mean and snobby. So on friday she told me to cover her shift 2-6 tomorrow and I told her yes, I can come in early because I am already working tomorrow but with her shift I can make it a full shift 2:30-10:30. Turns out she already got it covered but forgot to tell me. She literally wasn't going to tell me until I asked her about it. But she still needs me to cover her last hour and work 5-10:30 instead of 6-10:30. This makes me so mad because she did not tell me until after I already made plans to work tomorrow. I had class and I even emailed my professor saying I'm not going to class. So I am thinking of telling her no I can't cover her last hour, but I think this will ruin our friendship, even tho we don't really have one, but still. What should I do? Should I talk to my manager and see if I can work the full shift? But I don't want to sound like I really need the hours.

Ok, so first of all she's a year or two junior in my university, and I got to know her from a mutual friend's wedding. If I describe her personality, she is a spoiled rich (black money) brat, but would be all nice and bubbly and social to everyone. I personally find her to be a snob though. She might be friends with people, but at times I feel like she might look down upon certain people, though she's friends with them. Me for instance, was born in raised in a family of first class government officers, touched 3 continents within the age of 8, only child, could be spoiled and bratty at times but understanding, the girl who would always be dressed up by her Mom since childhood, the apple of her family's eyes etc. No one really has a clue about my family background (considering the fact that I'm lazy and prefer staying casual most of the time, while other girls nowadays stay all dressed up and showoff, though for me I dress up whenever the mood strikes) So this girl, we did some courses together in uni, we became friends and all. Once I bumped into her when I was all dreessed up in a classy way for a conference, she complimented on my look that I look good. After she left, my bf who was nearby, got pissed and said that she seems to thinks that she is something and she looked at me like I was nothing. So I got conscious about her ever since. I started to do well in my extra curriculars by the Grace of the Almighty God. My Internship was done at a very reputed and world-renowned organisation in the middle of my university. She got interested into wanting to join there, asked me whether she could do part time or not, since she did not want to miss on classes. She later did not go for it. Then given our subject, we were to choose on whether we should do Research/Internship. I later did my Research under a faculty member from my university, along with many other students. We were preparing for a Research conference to present our papers. After that friend got to know about it, she got interested and asked if the faculty was taking any students. Before that, she became nterested in the leadership trainings I had been doing. I have been part of a reputed international organization for over 3 years now, she recently even got interested for that She is very ambitous btw. The reason why I'm pissed, I have been underestimated by people like her all my life, since I was shy and quite while growing up. Now that I'm doing good, I feel like people are wanting to do whatever I am doing. I could have taken it positively, that they wanna follow me. But I feel like, they might have an attitude that if someone like me did, then they can do better. Someone even told me once after hearing about the previous observation that she thought that she was something, and looked at me like I am nothing, that she might want to copy me for wanting to do better than me, since I have been excelling in these areas Thanks to The Almighty God. I was laid off and had a hard time finding another job. A friend recommend me to his friend who hired me. My good friend Lisa and I met 15 years ago through an ex husband. She was the girlfriend (now wife) of one of ex's childhood friends. His answer was vague. Ex then wrote to me specifically - he could see that I was invited too - and said it would be nice to see me after all this time. I want nothing to do with him. We don't share children, so I was able to escape that situation physically right away (I moved an hour away), and emotionally with years of therapy. I asked my friend why she invited him and she said she believes ex has changed - it has been 10 years. And I shouldn't let my ex keep my husband and I from coming. What would you do in the situation? I don't want to overreact, but I was disappointed to see his name on the guest list. I do understand that it is her party, her list. I am seeking advice on whether to attend or not. I have a friend that asks me a lot to come and hung out with me. and like, I usually say I can't (whenever I say I can it's probably if I feel bad saying no all the time or at school breaks because I don't see her everyday). basically, I can almost all the time. but it's just that I cant spend more then 3 or 4 hours with a person. and school is enough for me. My friend and I have tentative plans to go to a music festival this summer. However I just realized she might want to invite her girlfriend to come along too. Her girlfriend is cool, but I've only met her a few times, and don't know her well enough that I would want to spend the whole weekend with just the two of them, out of fear of becoming a third wheel. It would be fine if we had a fourth person there, but I'm not dating anyone and none of our other friends can make it, and it's a lot of time/money to spend to potentially end up third wheeling for a weekend (train tickets, festival tickets, hotel). It's not like they would ignore me, but I feel like it will just naturally be a little awkward or I'll be a little left out. At the same time, our plans aren't set in stone yet so it's not like I'm really backing out. I have discovered that I will be alone this coming Christmas. I don't have any family. Last Christmas my best friend dropped by for a few hours. Usually, we just talk on the phone. I have gotten very close personally to a co worker she has given me tons of advice helped me listened to me and is very good at painting as well. Rude comments keep to yourself. I just turn 21 a couple of days ago and I never felt so down. This is suppose to be the best time of my life. I no longer talk to most of my friends. All of them missed my party and didn't even apologize for it but came up with lame excuses and I know they are lying because they was on snapchat. The person I fall in love with treats me like crap. For example, she hates gym class and doesn't seem to put an effort to it. I'm not a huge fan either, but I still want to do my best. oh god, i m feeling nauseous just typing this. so, i have a guy friend, we ll call him Henry. Henry and I have been best buds for almost three years. Okay I'm 15 years old and everybody always says how teenage years are supose to be your best years of your life and its when you should have fun with friends and go to parties... Well I'm the opposite. I can never be bothered to meet up with my friends and don't really like it! It's not that I don't like my friends...I get on with them really well. But I see them everyday at school and tbh I'd rather sit indoors on my iPod and tv then having to go out. I also hate sleepovers. I just feel really uncomfortable in someone else's house also when ever someone's at mine! I also kind of have OCD about using other people's cutlery and I don't like eating anybody else's food apart from the food me and my family make and in restaurants. So I force myself to eat food or else I feel rude. Also I'm really shy and don't like talking to new people. I get so stressed out about school and friendships and it makes me really depressed which is one of the reasons I prefer to be alone in my spare time. I also have low self asteem so I don't like to go out because I always feel like I'm being judged and people are looking at me an thinking rude things, even when there not. I have really bad anxiety over it. Today I added some one from school on facebook, I don't really talk to them but we know each other. My friend saw and tried to say I was immature for adding people I don't know, blah blah blah and he said that I will never grow up because I add people who I know but don't necessarily talk to, because that makes a whole lot of sense right? Another instance is where I told him that I might not get a part time job at the start of college because I am not in need of the money, my parents are pretty rich and that my top priorities are my studies, and he told me I was wrong, I tried saying that everybody is different and approach things different, and he kept on saying you're just afraid to admit I'm right. It is starting to piss me off because he always tries forcing his the way he wants his life onto me and says the way I want to live is wrong. What should I do?

I'm a woman going nowhere in life. I need help, but no one wants to help or do anything. People in my family literally say "No one wants to hear you whine, go away. You are getting on my nerves". I need to make believers out of them and do something that will seriously scare them into helping me considering nothing else works. I'm always lonely at school. And to be honest I like it better that way. I hate people and think their way too blinded by life and society. I'm always in my head and I'm always thinking. Well this all started yesterday when I was sitting down on the library table for math class.(Lets call the girl A and btw im in 8th grade) Well I looked around and saw her talking about me and looking and this boy came up to me and said she said I have witch hair. (Because i had just put my hair down to re-do my bun) btw I think shes jealous because I have beautiful long hair and hers is just plain and short.Well I said something back and the boy kept going back and forth telling me what she said and telling her what I said.Btw she also started talking spanish about me to her friends and all that.She is mexican and knows a little bit english.But then when the bell rang I went up to her and asked her if she had a problem with me and she said that the boy said I was talking **** bout her when I wasnt and she started it so she thinks I was talking **** and I told her I wasnt and she was about to swing I guess or do something idk then her friend pulled her away.And my friends saying I was gonna get my *** beat and all that and im scared to fight her.Her friend came up to me saying A said she ready to fight you and all that but I ignored it and proceeded with my day.Then today I was sitting with my friends at the library on the computers and my friend (getting in our buisness trying to make something happen) asked her if she wants to fight me then A said That im scared and I cant fight and all that and then my friend said you gonna let that slip if you do then your a puss-y.I then got moved by myself to a table and then was scared and nervous knowing when the bell rang I would fight her by force.And then i decided to get my mom to pick me up fast before it was time to go.So I used a teachers phone and she picked me up and now im home wondering whats gonna happen tomorrow.I dont want to be known as a pu*** and she now thinks im scared of her but I want to prove her wrong but my mom told me if theres a problem again to tell the office but that would be snitching and everyone would know im a snitch ! I dont know what to do people are probaly going to do the same thing trying to make us fight and Im just sick of it.And my friend should be supporting me not saying shes gonna beat my asss . It feels like I have no friends now and im by myself which had me scared and Im now home but tomorrow im not getting picked up or nothing.I dont know what to do im scared if we really end up having to fight that I would get beat up ..all because last year i was play fighting with my friend and we ended up fighting like a real fight and i got a black eye and was known as the girl that got beat up by a really skinny girl ! I feel weak I want to be strong but what do i do ? HELP everyone thinks im scared ): btw if i handled it better first i could have avoided but i was stupid and now how do I get out of it?
