Question: What happens at a Justice of Peace wedding? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 09:25 PM PST I plan on getting married in about a year, specifically in Texas. I've looked up what all we need but I want to know little details of what it's like. I know people who have done it but all they tell me is that it's like a regular wedding. Problem is I haven't been to a wedding since I was a little kid and I have no memory of the actual ceremony except sitting in the back getting distracted by everything. I have social anxiety and it's stressing me out not knowing what to expect, what will be said and all that. If it were up to me we would just sign the papers and be done. |

Question: Who should be my maid of honor? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 07:28 PM PST It's been so stressful planning a wedding that's to happen in nine months but my fiancé chose my brother to be his best man. I would like to choose my sister (she's really my cousin but my parents raised her so she's always been my sister), but my brother also has a fiancé and I've known her for a really long time. I love them both and we've all gotten along pretty well since we've met. She's also like a sister to me. I know that neither will mind who I pick, but it's just hard because I still don't want any of them to be upset. |
Question: Advice for planning a wedding in five months with a limited budget.? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 06:14 PM PST Were planning our wedding for the end of April 2017. We are going as simple as possible but Im still having a hard time planning with a budget of 5k max. I already plan to DIY pretty much everything and Ive basically opted out of a lot of flowers. How do I pay for food and entertainment all while staying in this 5k budget. What about a honeymoon. We have talked about moving it to 2018 instead but we really dont want to. I really need suggestions. Any ideas? |
Question: Can my footman also be my best man? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 06:07 PM PST Is it proper? If I had a footman* |
Question: Little response for my wedding, what can I do? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 04:58 PM PST I am throwing a destination wedding in Iceland this February. We sent out the invitations 3 weeks ago and all the responses so far have been "no". I find it rude, as I have attended every function my friends and family have thrown. Doesn't etiquette mean anything to people any more? I am on the verge of writing a letter to the people who have said no, pointing out what events I have attended of theirs and tell them that it is not appreciated that the favor is not returned. Is this a good idea? Or what should be the course of action? |
Question: Ideas for outdoor locations to hold a wedding in Las Cruces, NM? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 04:57 PM PST me and my fiance are trying to find a nice looking outdoor area to hold a wedding, free or not to expensive the better. can be anywhere in Las Cruces. ideas? |

Question: What do you do with people who show up to a wedding when they didn't RSVP? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 02:23 PM PST Should I set aside a table for people who might show up who didn't RSVP or have them ushered away from the reception? What is the protocol for people who just show up with no RSVP? I've called to follow up on the invitations, but some people are not even returning the call or follow up emails. The invites were sent in the regular mail. None were returned from the postal service as a bad address. I tried to follow up with about 3 couples with phone calls, then resorted to email. |
Question: Will I ever find a husband? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 01:32 PM PST I'm in 10th grade. Last year my crush liked me back, but we both stopped liking each other. In 7th grade, I "dated" a guy for two weeks before I ended it. Are we all caught up? Great. I've never kissed a guy. I don't even have a crush this year. At this rate, I doubt I'll ever find a man to marry. Is there still hope for me left? |
Question: How to tell my parents that I'm getting engaged? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 12:17 PM PST Im nervous to tell my parents that I am getting engaged simply because they are rather strict and they aren't as open-minded about things; I am 23 by the way. So how can I start this conversation leading to my engagement? I need help any help please!!! |
Question: Why are people offended, when you don't invite their kids to your wedding? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 10:04 AM PST We are choosing to not invite any kids to our wedding. This is primarily for financial reasons. People are mad and offended that were not inviting their kids. They want an explanation, and we feel that we don't owe anyone any explanations. We feel that they are more than welcome to decline the invitation. We want a quiet, classy, undisturbed wedding. |
Question: Can I get married at 17, even if we love each other? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 05:15 AM PST I m By What Rules Or Guidelines Do You Live Your Life? not from America I m from another country. We re neighbours n its difficult to see each other because my father doesn t like the gentle man next door whom I loved, we can t take this anymore we cried alot for our love, because my father embarrasses me in front of him and in public with persons. I m struggling to love him I really do.so can anyone help me I m not here to get any negative verdict. But I have a strong feeling to get married because I love him n I know to relate my points to persons. |
Question: What's the point of having bridesmaids on your wedding day? Posted: 07 Nov 2016 04:38 AM PST I just think this idea is so stupid (no offense). I think this only exists in America, because i have not seen it anywhere else (i'm foreign). I just don't get it, the wedding is supposed to be a special day for the bride and groom not for their friends. The bridesmaids do the same things as the bride except they dont wear a white dress. |
