Question: How do I approach my friend who's been "friends" with a guy for 3 years that uses her? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 05:13 PM PST Ok, so I have this friend that I've been friends with since kindergarten, we're 22 and 23 now. We'll she's had this guy friend for 3 years now. She literally revolves her life around him almost obsessive like. Shes in love with him more than I can put into words but it's quite obvious to her friends and family the feeling isn't mutual and that's he's just using her. She's naive and thinks because they "mess around" when he wants to he's into her. But the thing is he wont go out in public with her, shes not allowed to have his phone number (which she paid for the phone and his phone bill) and he has blocked her from any social network site. Their only form of communciation is via facebook messanger. And thats when he wants to respond.. Hes lazy and has no job. He talks to numerous of girls but expects my friend to still split her paychecks with him, and let him use her car and "please him" when he asks. he said if she can't help him someone else can. I've tried to talk to her so many times about how naive she's being but it's to no avail. She becomes so defensive. As much as I hate to say it I'm at my ropes end. By her giving away her checks she's constantly asking me to borrow money which I'm sure 95.5 percent of the time she's asking to give to him.
Question: How to hang out with friends? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 05:00 PM PST Hi. I've been feeling very lonely. The friends I've asked to hang out are saying no. It's like they don't want to hang out with me. I want to be one of those people who hangs out with friends a lot. And I want to do fun things as well not just eating or drink and sleeping like people do on a daily basis. I don't want advice. I want stories, I want experiences. Not the self-made snake oil that gets passed down from one person to another but never actually works. Can someone or some people tell me experiences they've had like this where they've done something that actually works? I don't want to hear advice, I want to hear something that actually works for someone and how it works. Thanks
Question: Is this fair? Misunderstanding over paying for liquor at a party? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 04:51 PM PST I attended a party at a club. Drinks were all paid for already by the host (birthday boy). Everyone was motioning at one point that the vodka was empty. Even the host at one point. Everyone was drunk and nobody could hear anyone. Music too loud. I went and got the waitress and asked for another gray goose. I didn t know the arrangement with how things were paid for. Comes back with the gray goose and a receipt for 240. I handed it to the host. He doesn t say anything. Just takes it. Pays for it. This morning he s still drunk and texts me that he didn t order it, that I did, and I should pay the entire cost of the bottle. I did not drink any of it and everyone else wanted more. I just happened to be the one that went to tell the waitress. What do u think?
Question: Why does everyone always giving me a hard time? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 04:41 PM PST My friends were teasing me that I'm the blame for my dog getting fat. I mean we used to take her for walks but she tore up her color and we used to have a leash for her. My friend was like to my pup, "Aww poor Lena. Was Dana mean to you. Don't snap at me, get angry at Dana, she's the one that don't do it." My sister was like, "Why don't you ever take her for walks?" I told them that I did and we used to. Then my friend said, "Well buy her another one! So she won't be cooped up! Lena is Dana being mean to you?" Then they all laugh. I told my sister they were joking. He said, "No I am so not. Lena is squealing on you! Hahaha." I know they were just kidding but afterwards, I get upset and angry. It's been like that since I was a kid. EVERYONE use to pick on me A LOT. I got angry and the kids would pick on me some more because they loved making me angry. I've gotten better at accepting jokes but I always feel guilty. Then my my friend asked me what I wanted to do Friday night. Then she said, "Hey! Don't be looking at your dad! You're a grown *** woman. You do what you want." I have Asperger Syndrome and people need to be careful what they say to me. They do but what is wrong with me?
Question: Whats a good 21 birthday gift for my 2 guy best friends who happen to be twin brother? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 04:39 PM PST Hey, my 2 Best friends who happen to also be twin brothers are having their birthday come up pretty soon. What is a good gift to get them? I do not want to get them something cheesy. I also do not want something "meaningful" and by that I mean something like "make them a video of how much you appreciate them" We are all guys and like to go out and have fun. They both live together and have an apartment and go to college. Whats a good birthday gift for a 21 years old guy? I could also get one gift for both of them. Any Ideas?

Question: Why does my friend invite me out, then flake w/o notice? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 04:35 PM PST My friend & I are both females in our mid 20 s. She will call me and ask/invite me out (shopping, running, movies, etc.) and we will then agree on what time to either meet/pick up. So when the time comes and passes, she will forward my call to her voicemail, ignore my text messages and flat out won t give me a heads up prior & I won t hear from her until days later. I don t have many female friends due to traits like what she has. I really don t want to lose my only friend but it s aggravating trying to figure out why she flakes AFTER INVITING ME. Like why take the time out to verbally want me in your presence then cancel w/o notice? Does anyone have a similar experience? Could it be something I m doing? Could it be something about me? Do I make her feel a certain way & she thinks about it after she invites me? PLEASE NO RUDE, HARSH ANSWERS! Keep them to yourself if it s not a valid solution or theory. T.Y.
Question: Im having severe birthday anxiety about my 18th birthday please help? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 04:20 PM PST Every year I get sever anxiety about my approaching birthday but ESPECIALLY about big numbers like 16, 18 or 21. Well, I am going to be an 18 year old WOMAN very soon and I have no idea how to celebrate. I had this nice plan of going out to dinner with friends/family on my actual birthday and then the following weekend, I would go to NYC with my friends for a night. I was just told that the NYC thing doesnt work for my friends that weekend and I am crushed. I really had my heart set on that plan because NYC is such a special place for me i mean i was born there! Now I have no clue what to do. I dont want to throw a party because I dont have enough friends. Dont want to spend it with my family. Dont want to do boring things like bowling or the movies. I feel like i'm bound for disappointment since my dream birthday was ruined. Please help I know this sounds stupid and I sound like a drama queen but I only get like this about my birthday its very odd I just get severe anxiety/depression because I want it to be special and it never really is.
Question: Where can I make new friends in my mid 30s? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 03:55 PM PST Almost all of my good friends have moved out of town in the past few years, so I'm having a hard time filling up my social life. I maybe have two friends left in town, but they have lives too and I still don't see them all that much. I feel like a complete shut-in who has no one to do things with (I have my husband and his buddies, but I don't want to make him into a surrogate girlfriend and occupy ALL his time). I work in a very tiny workplace, and athough I don't hate my coworkers, they aren't really my type of people to hang out with. I'm in my mid 30s, and feel like I'm at a loss of where to go to meet new people. I'm not into the bar scene, and I don't have kids, so I can't really use those things in common with people. I like hiking, parties and events, art, music, movies.. I guess all the normal things people like, but I really don't know how to go about making a new group of friends to do things with. It seems like as soon as I might make a connection with people, they don't seem interested in starting a friendship. Everyone seems too busy to make new friends except for me.

Question: My best friend is inseparable from his girlfriend. What can I do? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 03:37 PM PST So I've known my best friend for the last 6 years. About 2 years ago, he met his first girlfriend, and since then they've been together virtually all the time. Now, she's really fond of me and is sure we're best buddies, but unfortunately I don't feel the same and don't have the heart to tell her. She s also extremely sensitive and very easily hurt. The thing is, I can t barely ever see my friend solitarily, I only get to see them together. I don t even dare asking him to hang out alone because his girlfriend will probably be deeply hurt by both me and him. Of course I m glad that my friend is happy, but I feel like I ve lost him. I chose to be his friend, not theirs... Do you think there s any way for me to hang out alone with him, without anyone getting hurt?
Posted: 13 Nov 2016 03:31 PM PST And her bio said pansexual!?!?!? (Likes all genders) This meant I actually had a chance, the only thing is, the only crushes shes had are boys, so idk if shes faking. I would never straight up ruin our friendship by asking her out, but idk if I should bother flirting. Any advice?
Posted: 13 Nov 2016 03:02 PM PST Ok, I remember when we used to be friends with the lowlifes, the daughter's mom said that when my grandfather drops dead, it'll be a gift, and she wants to remember that we were good people who gave them the money, but it was a loan, never a gift. What do we do? Why couldn't she be a good person and pay my grandfather back?
Question: Why does everyone always hang out without me? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 02:49 PM PST I had four close friends that I talked to everyday. Two of them have started to hang out by themselves without me, and I feel left out. Another one hasn't talked to me in weeks and always hangs out with the "popular" girls. Now I only have one close friend, but she has more friends of her own. I'm caring, funny, and I have the highest scores in the whole grade. Why don't I have any friends like everyone else, and why does it always seem like they're excluding me?
Posted: 13 Nov 2016 02:23 PM PST My friend always moves so slow and I don t get it. She is usually late to things and when we want to go to events, I m usually the one waiting on her. This morning we made plans to hang out. This was around 10:30-11. She told me that she was going to go to the gym an then she d text me when we were good. Around 3:30 she texted me and said she would be ready in an hour. It s almost 5:30 and I seriously don t even want to hang out anymore. This happens often. Anytime we plan to hangout, she s always the "slowpoke". Why are people so slow and late all the time? How can I talk to her about it without seeming so frustrated and causing tension?
Question: How do you tell someone you don't want them along? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 02:03 PM PST Alright so a really good friend of mine that I've known since I was a baby was going to come n visit me, now apparently another chick that I honestly can only stand once in a blue moon wants to potentially join. Honestly I just can't stand her. I am a people person with, well, certain people. She isn't necessarily one of those "people". I'll admit, I'm the person people complain about being this so called "fake friend" but I am always there for her when needed but I despise being around her because I can't be me, which in that case a human being who's all about memes, dirty jokes, n perverted glory on top of anime and fanfiction. Me showing my true colors, the ones I explained, would traumatize her n then ahahah jokes on me everyone poofs out of my life. I'm already a person who hates socializing yet likes to know people care, I wouldn't appreciate her finding anything about my true self. She proclaims me to be nice, easy going which I am, nothing bothers me n her bestest friend in the whole world. I just, do not want her to be here with me n if I am going to be around her it can only be for an hour or hour n ahalf max. So please, what is a polite way of making up an excuse for her not to come along? She hasn't asked yet but she's said "hey I hear (friends name) is coming to see n hang out with u" TRUST ME SHE WILL ASK. So, any thoughts of responding n saying yes we are now go mind your own business because I wish never to associate myself with you but I have to???
Question: Teenage girls who can drive would you have done this? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 01:57 PM PST I just took my best friend home. Since it was warm out and I did not get out of my car and was only gone for about 40 minutes I drove in my bare feet and left my shoes at home.
Question: Is it possible to unfriend someone else s friends? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 01:56 PM PST I was recently on my account and looking at a friends profile that my wife knows. I saw all the friends he is friends with, and was shocked that when I selected my wife that I had the option to unfriend. Is this really possible? Did it happen? Maybe is is a glich or a fluke thing. Whatever the case may be, it said she was friends with him, and when I clicked unfriend it actually changed to add friend by her name.
Question: Did I do something wrong? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 01:45 PM PST Let's call her Dana. In August, we performed together at a concert and about 2 months after I asked the band for constructive criticism and I stated criticism for not just me but the whole band. This is where it all started. We're in the same music class and everything was cool up until a few months ago. She started talking less to me and started talking more to a random girl who sat next to us? I'm all about making new friends but she's making me feel like an outsider. During lunch I would talk to her like I usually would and it'd be comfortable but she would just ignore me and start talking to our other friends. Last year, I performed for our school's homecoming performance and after the performance she was all supportive and was cheering for us but this year when I performed it was almost as if she didn't care at all. I don't expect a crazy reaction, but a simple congratulatory remark is normal for friends right? My friends and I love to take pictures together and we would used to take selfies together all the time but now when I join in on a group photo she would put the phone down. I message her from time to time on Facebook (although we messaged each other a lot before) asking about homework or just to chat but she would never look at it? But during class or lunch I would see her go on Messenger and chat with a lot of our other friends leaving my chat ignored? Not just private but in the group chats I'm in she would ignore things I say. What'd I do wrong?
Question: Why is this girl promising me to be friends, but then ALWAYS flaking on me? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 01:37 PM PST We tried to make plans to chill a couple times, but she flaked. She tells me she has this autoimmune disease called myasthenia Gravis which causes fatigue and muscle weakness and she says she needs to rest when she gets flare ups. She told me hot weather causes flare ups and she blamed it on the weather when she flaked. Thing is, she was able to go to house parties late in the evening and spend like 5 or 6 hours there. What do you think her real intention is with this "friendship". The way we became "friends" was when I posted a very depressing and possibly even suicidal post on social media. She inboxed me and told me that she's there if I ever want to talk and offered to help me by inviting me to parties and being friends. It's hard for me to trust her... What's the worst that could happen? I'm not into her either. Im just scared of her and what her intentions could be. Like me telling her things and then for her to repeat them to others, etc. I want to learn from this situation for future reference. On the other hand I do want a good friend, I really need more positive things in my life. On the other hand I do want a good friend, I really need more positive things in my life. What the hell is wrong with this *****? Why would she want to mess with someone's emotions like that?? Even if it's just friendship! Why would she lie? Why would she give false hope? You know what false hope can do to someone in my situation???? WHY ARE PEOPLE SO EVIL I DONT SEE THE POINT IN LIVING!!!
Question: Am I being weird or is it her? I don't get it.? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 01:33 PM PST Last years I had a "problem" with my best friend bc she stopped hanging out with me all of a sudden/brushed me off to the side. Their were 4 of us that all hung out together. So me and C(best friend), we hang out and talk nonstop. We were best friends since we were practically born. We went to the same elementary, middle, and high school. But anyways, me and C were best friends and M and L were best friends also. L was always the one to piss off M and C bc of her attitude. I didn't really know L and we never did talk. M and L were having a fight and stopped hanging out. So L and C started to hang out and became the best of friends. I mean I felt jealous and hurt but she can have friends that's fine. I didn't think anything about it. Then a couple months later I stopped hanging out with them bc I felt left out and L was talkin **** about me and C didn't tell me anything considering that we're best friends. We haven't talked for a couple months now, just here and there. Me and M start to become best friends also, I wanted M and L to makeup bc they were best friends. She doesn't need to be MY friend, just M's. But L thinks that me and M are talking **** about her and stirring **** up but we don't even have her in our mind bc it's been MONTHS. So me and M don't like her, and I started to really dislike C bc she doesn't talk to us anymore and she's changing. What do I do? I don't want to talk to her nor hang out with her. It's been almost a year and I can't get over it.

Question: Roomate Problemss PLEASE HELPP? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 01:09 PM PST So I'm a freshman female in college and I was assigned to a roommate randomly. After seeing the assignment I messaged her on Facebook and we chatted for a bit and I was really excited to meet her and room with her in college! I got to my dorm (she got there first) and we immediately hugged and she was super friendly and we talked a bit and got to know each other. So orientation begins and were assigned to different groups and I really had a hard time socially in my group and didn't make any friends. After a couple days, she invites me to go out with a few friends she made during orientation and I was so excited I said YESSS! She goes to her friends room as I start to get ready and comes back saying her friend's roommate doesn't want to go out and i'm like okay next time! I take a shower and when I come back shes gone for the whole night. I found out later that they went out. (Also i found out her friend's roommate was in my orientation group) Gradually overtime she talks to me less and less and I start hearing her talk about my behind my back on multiple occasions. She says things like I have no friends and I never leave the dorm (not true I promise haha) and shes said this while I'm in the same room trying to sleep. Her friends sometimes come into the dorm with her and don't even acknowledge me. Wtf am I supposed to do about this? I haven't done anything to her and I try to be nice but its so hard to be when she does this. PLEASE ANY ADVICE WILL HELP SO MUCH!

Question: I dont want to be at home anymore but i dont know why? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 01:04 PM PST Im a 15 yr old guy and my parents are both separated and i spend time with both of them each week. Im not having any problems at home and i have good friends and i would say im a good kid. I dont drink or do drugs but i feel like i would if i get the chance. I've just recently started to go out and stay out late and i have never done that before since i used to be an unpopular kid with no friends. I've changed a lot in that aspect which is good but now that i have my friends and im doing fun stuff i dont want to be at home with my family anymore. When school ends i dread going home for the rest of the day so i go and play basketball instead. No matter how late i stay out, i hate going back home. Its like i cant get enough time with my friends and fun even though i've been getting so much of that. Whenever i go to a party or a gathering with friends im the last to leave but im still not satisfied. My parents are starting to tell me that i shouldn't be out that late and nagging me which really pisses me off because i dont like ppl telling me what to do no matter who it is. Can anyone explain why im feeling like this?
Question: Does this girl hate me, and what should I do about it? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 12:59 PM PST I ve only just started to take notice in this, but I used to be friends with a girl who currently seems to be very hateful toward me. I m not sure why this is, maybe it s because I made the varsity team two years ago and she didn t, but that would be petty of her to hold that against me. She has started manipulating my "friends" and talking bad about me to them, resulting in all of them avoiding me at all costs. Now this "friend" group of mine seems annoyed by my presence and I don t know what s going on. We were even working on a project in a group, and she didn t invite me to go work on it at her house. Then, the entire group blamed me for not putting in any work. I m at a loss. We used to be pretty close, but things have obviously changed over the past few years. What should I do? Why is she acting this way? I know I shouldn t care, but it is jeopardizing the friendships I have.

| Question: What does this mean? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 11:37 AM PST I'm new to this school for adults and I chatted to this guy in my class for the first time during the break (I'm a woman). | Question: Should I feel guilty for disappearing on my "Friends?"? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 11:18 AM PST I actually have a logical reason to do that. Because they aren't appreciating my "company" only pretending to like me, and always contact me when they need something. So I just went poof(Of course not magic, but you get what I mean lol) without an explanation hoping they don't need me anymore. P.S. - I just want my own space not to feel suffocated by. Just saying |

Question: My friend thinks I'm blowing her off all the time, but I'm actually just really busy.? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 10:59 AM PST Today she texted me asking if I am mad at her because I am always blowing her off and it's been bothering her because she misses hanging out with me. She wants me to tell her if she did anything that made me because I am a good friend of hers. I'm not blowing her off, I'm just extremely busy lately because I am involved in a lot of things. But to be quite honest, she does get on my nerves a lot. I don't always feels like she wants to be friends and in the past year she has been getting in more gossip than usual and has started hanging out with groups of friends that really aren't her really good true friends. She has always liked drama and it makes me mad.

Posted: 13 Nov 2016 10:22 AM PST My old group of friends would never invited me to anything, tell me to be a man about it when I was down in the dumps and never hit me up. My new friends while they do hurt other people they were always there for me, They provided me with someone to talk to, and when they were down to hang out with me always hitting me up. My old friends are telling me to stay away from them, saying that they will use my skill in the martial arts for their own desires. Now they ******* care!? ******* fakes! Besides my new group of friends say that they don't want me getting involved in the stuff they do. They claim that I have alot going for me. |

Question: How do you get used to a someone who you think doesn't like you in your friend group? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 09:21 AM PST So I have been friends in this group practically for 8 years. We're like family. But there is just this one person which is kinda weird, but he is the only one wear i feel uncomfortable being around. Not as engaging with me as he is with the others and I just get this vibe with him that he doesn't like me very much. To me I really wouldn't care if he was not in my friend group. But he is so every time I see him the thought comes back to me. My question is how do you better cope with someone like this in a friend?

Question: What causes my friend to walk out? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 08:29 AM PST My friend is 15, and at least once a month or sometimes more often, she would walk out in the middle of class. She would either get angry or be crying or walk out when asked to speak. I am her friend but she has no other friends, and we never hang out because she is often sad and has outbursts. What kind of disorder could this be? Also, she is not diagnosed with anything or gets help so I might speak to a teacher about that.

Question: Should I be upset about this or let it go? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 07:24 AM PST I've been talking to a guy for over a month now who I am really interested in. Our personalities and sense of humor are so similar that it makes it even more fun to talk to him. For a while we were talking every day. Then it cut back a little. this past week I started backing off because I felt weird vibes and wasn't sure if he was talking to someone else. The same day I vented to my friends about it, he texted me. So he texted me Monday and Wednesday of this week. Both convos started with something pretty random which made it seem like he wanted an excuse to talk. So I got some of my hope back. I texted him a funny video yesterday morning with a text along with it and never received a response.. but he snapchatted me twice. He had his last game of the season so he snapped me before it and after it saying they won. I'm just extremely confused and sick to my stomach because nothing ever seems to work out with guys. No idea what I'm doing wrong. It's not like I'm sending 5 texts in a row. Before you jump into the "ask him out" "see him face to face" stuff.. it's not that easy considering we're at two different colleges right now.
Question: I need urgent advice!? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 06:58 AM PST So I just recently became friends with this person but we never realy get to see each other outside of work. I really love hanging out with them though and we get along so well. The problem is that they are moving away soon for college. Basically I am sad that they will be leaving and have no idea whether it is worth saying or doing anything about it because they are just a new friend and they will be leaving relatively soon. Please help.

Question: How do i help my friends? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 06:15 AM PST I found out that at least two of my friends that have me as a follower and follow me on social media use drugs and smoke by looking through their accounts. they are ruining my world because they are stressing me. i have been living life without drugs and alcohol every since i was born and i don't understand why they can't do it. my issue with one of them is that they have a bad influencing friend that is uncaring about following rules and uses drugs, but she always says that she is her only friend and best friend. My other friend has a lot of friends and i don't know which one caused him to start using drugs. i want and need to help both of them but i don't know how because i don't have assertiveness in me. i am scared that they will justify what they did and get angry at me. i need to help them without losing friends. i think it may be too late since they're already filled with drugs. they need to get all drugs out of their systems now.

Question: Is this normal for 14-15 year old girls to do? Posted: 13 Nov 2016 06:12 AM PST Ok so last night out of the blue this one girl snapped me. We're friends btw. It said "put your d*** up my nose" which is really weird because this girl is like really Christian and conservative and stuff and she would never do this. So I replied saying I think you sent this to the wrong person, she replied with more stuff like that. I knew this wasn't her. Later I found out this one girl (I still dunno who, but obviously her friend) was with this girl (my friend, the one whose phone they were using) and just joking around. Is this normal? It was pretty funny. Hilarious.
