She's gotten pushy and demanding about making plans. She'll expect me to drop everything for her and constantly be available to hang out. A lot of the time I'm caught up with work or school, so I can't and she'll act sad. I enjoy making plans w her, but her behavior is pushing me away. I don't want to feel pressured into a friendship because she "needs" me. Should I distance myself from her? What would you do? |

I'm 15 but I have to make my own meals, do the laundry, clean the house, I do basically everything for myself. I'm okay with that but my 16 year old best friend has it so easy. My parents are seperated and her parents are happily married. Her parents do literally everything for her and all she has to do is take the dog out maybe once a day, and plays a game on her computer the rest of the time. I just find it annoying how I'm 15 and have so much responsibility, and she's a year older and has no responsibilities. |

I know this is gonna be alot to keep up with but please take the time to read. I was at the age of 18 years old gonna come out with my own magazine because I used to be a very good writer I'm still a good writer but whenever I write something now it's about God. I'm not saying anything is wrong with it but I had the ability to also write short stories, short movies scripts, and do almost about anything dealing with the arts when I was in highschool and college. I drew out my own fashionable heels and one day I wanna sell it away to make money because I'm so tired of being poor. I currently live at home with my parents, no driving license, no car, I pay rent, I don't have a house of my own, but I'm stuck on social security income mostly because I'm not gonna drop it and only make $8 an hour job when I can keep the money I get. Plus I get the Medicare with it. I mean who wants to drop Medicare? I need advice or help on how to make 10 figures everyday and live a blessed life the way it was meant to be. It's affecting my life and my health. I live with my older sister who supports me financially because its been 3 years since I graduated from university and I cannot find a job. I feel so alone even though Im surrounded by people everyday. I hang out with a group of friends, but the only reason im there with them, isn't because I was invited but because they invite my sister and she doesn't want me to sit alone at home, so she asks me to join, otherwise I dont think they enjoy my company as much and I feel like they really dont want me around them. I try talking with them to get closer but I feel like they try to push me away and they dont really care what I have to say. I try to text friends but nobody cares. I look at my phone everyday to see if anyone texted me or called, but the only messages i get through my phone are from advertising companies. Ive been rejected by every guy I like. I feel so unloved and its making me feel like a worthless piece of ****. Even the guy I like right now doesnt even notice me. He hangs out with us everyday but he never invites me or talks to me.. even thou I try talking to him. He talks to my sister everyday, invites her and gets to know her emotinally even thou I was closer to him first but now he started drifting away from me. Mind you, I was getting my hair braided into two pigtails to the back with weave added. Anyway, my cousin finished one of the braids and then told me to look and see if I liked it. I looked at it but said, "nah. I think my forehead is too big for this style." And she disagreed but said okay. My classmate butted in and said "Uh, didn't you used to wear pigtails in school?" "I remember you wearing pigtails in school." And I said no. I told her that I WORE a PONYTAIL in school . There is a difference. One is one and the other is two. Was she trying to be funny by asking me that? Or am I overreacting? I guess I think she was being shady because I used to get bullied when I was in school and i still hate seeing old classmates. They were kids in high school (around 15) and she befriended the girl and did whatever she did to get her boyfriend to break up with the girl. It happened and the high school girl was crying and my sister didn't care but the thing is that this girl is threatening to call the police and get our parents involved. My sister didn't verbally abuse, threaten, or harass someone. She just isn't a very good friend to have. As in, she isn't there for her friends when they want someone to talk to and is likely to take advantage of someone if she really wants to. A few kids stopped being her friend at her middle school because she wasn't being a good friend. If this kid calls the police, will they talk to our parents about this matter? We live in London and the police will charge people who call them over things that are not a police matter or waste police time. |

Then she found out that her brother, who's a year below me, was friends with me and that instantly ticked her off. Ever since then her hatred has been growing for me, she'd look at me like I was awful, even though her brother has been completely thrown out of the picture. I met her during field hockey, and now that's over, but in the spring I'll be playing softball with her. It just feels bad to be hated. Is there any way I can gain her friendship? I mainly hang out with the 6th graders (even though I think some of the 8th graders there fit my personality type) because theyre less intimidating. Before I thought I was spending Thanksgiving with my friend and her cousin, but she recently told me her grandma is in the hospital. She hasnt cancelled yet but I am only going to assume she wants to be with her family. Not on campus. So now Im pretty stumped on what to do. Don t really want to be alone in my dorm and I have no food anyway. Unfortunately I havent really made that many friends here, so I was kinda depending on her. I m 21 btw. I know a international exchange student on campus who I also invited, I told him the dinner may be cancelled. Which sucks cause I really wanted to have a good time. So could potentially be with him but we would honestly have nothing to do and we have no kitchen or food. Everything on campus will be closed. So whats there to do in this area around Thanksgiving? I think he has realized what an impact I made on his life (he's very insecure and has many problems I have helped him through) so what now, how would I go about starting to talk to him again? He hasn't even cared to ask if I was okay when I had clearly shown I was upset. |

But I noticed a bit ago she was always upset but never told me why, until later she told me that her hair Was been falling out due to stress and she's only 24. Now I said something and she took it the wrong way, She was soo mad at me. And told me to leave her alone and she blocked my number. I sent her a letter to her house to apologies but she never replied, its been one month since we talked. Does she really hate or will she talk to me with time?? |

I don't have any money. I have a friend who will let me stay with her for a while. how do I prepare for that? what do I bring with me? I'm gonna need clothes and ugh its hard to understand. During this time I found out that he was also dating the same woman that my brother was going out with. When my brother found out he immediately stopped seeing this woman however, I continued to date the guy. He told me countless times that he was done with her. My brother told me where she lived which was only a few blocks from me. I walked over on her block and sure enough I saw him coming out of her building and getting into his car. When he saw me he ran in his car and started it up. He didn't have anything to say. I still continued to see him after this. He had a bday party and when she saw us together she tried to start a fight with me and threw a drink on him. My friends told me to leave him alone that it was all too much drama but I stayed. She once showed up to the place where him and I were on a date at and she started a huge fight with him. Again he told me he was done with her. After that we spend a very romantic weekend together in a nice hotel, the movies and a nice restaurant. I caught the flu and few days after and asked him to come take care of me. He said he would, and then refused to answer and return any of my calls all night. I walked over to her block and sure enough there was his car parked in front of her building. I was so furious that I slashed 3 of his tires. We haven't seen each other or spoken much in 2 months. We have alot of mutual friends so can we be friends after this? |

I'm willing to help out others and favors but at times it ends up badly. I had some friends that thought I was such a sweetheart and fun to be around with but they NEVER EVER invited me anywhere and also when we make plans and they just blow me off. Some lied and said they had to cancel or work but in reality, they went to other events and they even said it right in front of me. I didn't want to look upset but I just brushed it off and told them it was ok. My dad has been warning me that those people aren't my friends and he's seen the way they have treated me. My dad told me that the problem is is that I'm way too nice to people and you forgive them when they hurt me and sometimes I'm going to have to be a but rude to avoid being hurt. I don't like being mean. I'm too nice, soft and polite. I always obey my teachers, follow EVERY rule and I just can't be mean. My peers got very annoyed with me because I never get angry when someone does bad to me or don't get into trouble. One of them said, "Jeez, do you EVER get in trouble?" Anyways They invited me to a graduation party and said they would call me. I went home and got ready. I called them but they didn't answer. I called 4 times and they didn't answer. Then I called the house phone and her dad picked up and told me she and her friends left an hour ago. I was hurt and shocked and ended up not going and missing the party. I heard the girls encouraged her not to call me or not have me tag along. I was HURT when I say that. My dad was like, Shut up! Just shut up. I don't wanna hear it. I TOLD you they weren't your friends! I've been trying to tell you that for months. To put it bluntly, you need to stop being so nice and be more assertive!" My mom said, "We tried to keep you from getting hurt and you got MAD! You had no right to get angry at us. You wouldn't listen. Time to find some new friends." |

Posted: 23 Nov 2016 06:58 AM PST I have a friend who I have gotten close to recently, I really enjoy talking to her and she is always so fun and actually hilarious. However, there's this one thing about her... She always invites herself over to my house and I stay with my parents. She plans out stuff for a particular weekend and always invites herself to stay at my "parents" house with me. When we have allowed her to stay, she often makes a mess of things around her like eating her food in the living room, leaving dishes, half eaten food in the fridge and not wiping up her mess. My parents weren't happy about this and honestly I wasn't either and we dont want her staying with us anymore. Recently, I made some arrangements to go on a vacation to Chicago but, it's for a deaf event I'm attending and she said, "I am going with you." Actually, no she cant and if she does I am not providing her transportation as I wont have any and she needs to get her own hotel as I'm sharing with someone else who's actually invited. She always relays on me for transportation as she doesn't have a car and not only that, she wasn't invited to go to the deaf event. I also planned another trip, to visit family in New Mexico and said, she wants to come and I told her no she can't since it's a family reunion. What should I do to set some boundaries with my friend who invites herself to these things?? She's a nice friend to have and everything but, this is becoming too much!!! My parents can't necessarily help, I have to tell her in their behalf she can't stay there. I'm an adult who is currently staying with my parents. |

Luckily my house is only 5 mins away and it was 3 at night, there are backroads leading to my house so I said **** it. And now I wake up to text messages from all my friends saying how stupid I am and how this is the last draw and some more bullshit. and I realized that what I did was not smart but I am about to lose all my friends because of this stunt I pulled last night and I don t know what to do. Or how I should apologize to them. |

Posted: 23 Nov 2016 06:32 AM PST So for the past 3 months I've been wanting to try a vape pen because they look interesting, (not to seem cool around my friends or something stupid) but my parents won't let me get one. I could get one anyways but I would rather go the safe way and ask my parents if they could get one for me instead of me getting one myself from a friend because you have to be 18 to buy one from a store in Florida. I've been begging my parents and Christmas is coming up and I feel like I would ruin Christmas if I asked for one. I am a good student, never have i not gotten honor roll, always almost straight A's, I've never gottten in trouble in school, never suspended or even gotten lunch detention. My dad does not like anything that like this. When I first asked him he gave me a rant about how hes never gotten tattoos or smoke (which I probably won't ever do cuz I'm not stupid) or get drunk etc. My mom thinks it's a joke and is kind of getting fed up with it. I really do love my parents, but sometimes I felt that they are being too strict. I could be out doing drugs or having sex and getting girls pregnant but instead all I do is leave a fork in the sink or get a C on a test. I know I probably sound petty by saying "OMG my parents won't get me a vape AHH they are so annoying" but that's not how I'm trying to get it accross. The more they try to keep it from me the more I want to do it ya know. And I don't want it to get to a "I'm only doing it to rebel" thing. Sorry that was so long. Thanksss |
