I stopped hearing from him and before I did again, I had the idea of living in that building far away from him. They have a referral program for referring friends to live there. When i took a tour, the landlord asked if he had referred me. I said no, even though I wanted to say yes. I didn't consider it a referral because: 1) He didn't actively do anything. I just happened to know the place by knowing him. 2) He didn't recommend I live there or give me the idea. 3) I had messaged him asking if it was okay to move in, and he said nothing. So I had never talked to him about living there. 4) He never told me anything about the place, especially anything good. I feel very bad about him not getting reduced rent. However, I didn't think it would be fair to the landlord or honest for me to say he did refer me. Those programs are set up to get a tenant to do something they wouldn't do anyway. Would it have been dishonest to say yes it was a referral? |

Posted: 19 Nov 2016 05:36 PM PST My friend is feeling sad because me and her were watching the Top 10 Worst Tornadoes there was a tornado back in 1999 in Moore Oklahoma. There was a newborn blown away from her mothers arms. A few hours later she was found. That made my friend cry. She's kind of shaking a little. She's scared of tornadoes she doesn't know what we'd do if we were in a tornado but were thankful were not in a tornado alley. We're in south east Ohio where we don't get many. Ohio doesn't tornadoes much. If we do its mostly up north. There was a tornado a few years ago that was in Ohio without warning since then she's been scared. Every time it rains or there's high winds shes scared to go anywhere. If its bad weather she wouldn't go outside or go anywhere. Everyday in the spring and summer she checks the weather. Its almost bedtime the wind is kind of blowing outside she's kind of freaked out. They say night time tornadoes are the worst. She's scared to go to sleep. She's going on the National Weather Services website. She's trying to learn more about them so she won't be so afraid but she's afraid because we live up on a hill in a trailer we don't have a storm shelter we only have closets so if it happens were screwed. But I doubt its ever gonna happen here. Like I was saying its rare Ohio gets tornadoes especially where we are. But she's still scared and upset. How can I comfort her ? She wants to know why does Oklahoma get so many tornadoes ? And how can she learn more about them ? By the way she wasn't born in 1999 she's only 15 |

We were best friends during college but when I had my boyfriend back then she used to invite him to the bars and I even didn't know. I was 20 so I couldn't get in and my boyfriend would show me her Facebook invitations. At the time it was no big deal but while I was dating this guy he became really good friends with my friend and after I broke up with him, he was using her to get to know my whereabouts. He stalked me for five months after my break up and I was devastated. I needed someone to be there for me and she was all of the sudden gone. One year passed and no one cared about me, no text messages from anyone, no one even came to check if I was alive. I tried to commit suicide four times in a year. At my last attempt I gave up just hating my life. I contacted her to hang out. I was hurt that she hadn't been there for me but I also had no other friend. We started to hang out again and I tried to let the scars heal. But she hurt me again. When we went on a trip and she had new friends she let her new friends insult me and she was leaving me alone when we were in a group. She now acts like she doesn't know why I don't want to hang out with her. We haven't talked in four months and today she invited me for lunch because she is leaving to another country in three weeks. |

Of course she asked how I was, if I was okay etc.. then she started skipping around subjects talking about her family, troubles, problems occurring, stories of when she was little, about how she misses her parents etc. her procedure. it was a great long talk, I listened and gave her all my attention. I understand people need to vent or need advice but why come to me? That day I sent her flowers to show my love and support. It s been stressing me seeing her go through so much, I want her to be alright and have great health. She s always so supportive to me. We both always send encouraging texts, she s always liking all of my social media posts, we send inspirational stuff to each other, etc.. We re very close. She s a very blunt lady and will tell you like it is. She s always giving me compliments, telling me how amazing I am, so I take it to heart. But she s never really said if I ve helped her. I do all things with love and expect nothing in return but I wish I knew if I was a help to her or if I am doing something good. Sometimes I feel useless like I ve done nothing good for her. I just don't know if its just me but I feel like this place is just full of assholes. Ever since I moved here i have had no real friends like those friends who care about you and call you on daily basis to hang out. All the people I've met here are my almost best friends for like 1-2 months and after that they just leave me and never call me or anything. Its like they just skip me for another friend and this has been happening for a long time. But now that I get to really know them they really act disrespectful towards teachers, they swear and seem to have this idea that they are in the center of attention, that they are more important. It's like they feel entitled to their opinions, and anyone that thinks otherwise is "retarded". So they think that teachers who give them actually useful advice are stupid old people. Most of them already seem to smoke (from age 15 or earlier), and they seem to have this "gangster" style and act like they're very popular and mature (they don't need their parents) and it's starting to piss me off. I am not sure if he likes me but..He sits next to me in all of our classes (we may be the third ppl in so 35 seats open around the room but he'll wait 2 see where I sit & sit right next 2 me), if we don't sit next 2 each other cuz of a project then he'll STARE me down from across the room, he will always try to talk/ask me the weirdest questions about class (he knows the answers half the time), whenever I talk to other guys in the class he gets uncomfortable and acts off..ETC. That said, I do try talking to him, but I'm not that forward of a girl. It's also been hard cuz he would always get SO nervous..especially at the beginning of the year, he could barely even keep eye contact with me or hold a 10 second convo without getting red or stumble across his words..which was SO weird cuz he is EXTREMELY goodlooking/has had a lot of girlfriends. He's also not like this w/ others in class. Hes gotten more comfortable now cuz we've talked a lot more, but he's still a little awkward. We r on thanksgiving break now & when we go back we have our last week for the term. The following week is just final exams. We are in college so if nothing happens in those 2 weeks chances are I may never see him again. Idk what to do cuz I rly like him but I'm not the type of girl 2 ask a guy out. Since it was warm out and I did not get out of my car I drove in my bare feet and had no shoes with me. | Question: Would you say my friend's an ***? Posted: 19 Nov 2016 09:10 AM PST My friend plans outings and rarely invites me (even if I plan those outings with her). She would do them and when I ask why I wasn't invited, she would say I thought you wouldn't wanna come or I forgot or blah blah. For example, we planned to go out today and then she said she can't make it because her mom's upset that she's been going out a lot lately. I understood her situation and said it's fine. At 7pm, she talks to me and tells me how she went out without her mom's permission and how she went to the same place we planned to go to but with someone else. I asked why didn't she invite me and she said it was last minute planning (she always says this) even though they planned the outing at 5pm and I believe she could've told me. I then showed her that I'm upset and she replies with "sorry *laughing emoji*" and I tell her that I got used to it. She then says that I'm being dramatic because LIKE ALWAYS, IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL. I still feel hurt by this. I always think about inviting her to outings but it's not the same with her. What do you think? Shut up, Anonymous. Nobody cares about your existence. I've always had to work hard to get to where I am in life, while everyone else had good things happen to them without effort. People always tell me I'm beautiful but I can't keep friends. Although I always stand up for others, help them regardless of who they may be. I never excluded everyone ever. I've made my mistakes but I've always looked on ahead and atoned for my sins. All throughout my life people have stolen my happiness, excluded me, bullied me and made fun of me. From a young age I was forced to leave my country and travel abroad with my parents. I grew up in a foreign country being bullied and made fun of for being different. I've never fit in anywhere. Whenever I found someone who understood me and accepted me they either died or disappeared from my life. I'm a good student and I study 8 European languages. I don't have any real friends and I'm a shadow in school expect for being acknowledged by the teachers for my good grades. The friends I have aren't even a part of my class. They're older than me and we only see each other twice a day, when most of the time I'm all alone nobody even bothers to care. I've tried my best to fit in, to make friends and become accepted my class. But they simply never took the time to acknowledge me. I'm not your typical teenager. I don't care about peer pressure. I don't pretend to be someone else to be accepted. I don't smoke or drink to fit in. I don't party or go to discos. I don't have a crush on anyone and I've never liked anyone in my entire life. I've always done my best to stand where I am now. I've always been a lot better off than other people but I've never found happiness in money. You can't buy friendship or love. Money doesn't make anyone happier..it's the opposite.. |

Posted: 19 Nov 2016 06:54 AM PST First off, Im 18, and I can't post everything that's happened with us, but when I got to work Monday my 34 year old coworker was walking over, since he can't drive due to DWI convictions, and instead of telling him how I feel about his advances through text message, I figured I wasn't going to get away from him without anything happening, so I let him kiss me. He ended up putting me against my car and started kissing me/my ear/my neck and started grabbing me. When I stopped him he tried showing me how to french kiss, thinking I just didn't know how to, and I think my facial expression said everything I was thinking because he said "Too much tongue?" And I nodded, so he said "Okay." gave me a normal kiss, but started kissing my ear and neck again instead. He started grabbing my upper half and didn't go down my pants but he moved to my thigh and started feeling around and pushing up with his fingers, which hurt, and I took him to stop. He decided to go inside since that was a good five-ten minutes and I went in after texting a friend about it, just to let her know in case something else happened. I just keep switching between feeling indifferent and mortifiication and don't know what to think or do. |

I say harsh things because that's just the truth and I want best for the person I say these things to because world can be cold and harsh as well. I mean good but people seem to not take it very well. I can take criticism very well and I'm very hard to offend so naturally I don't really think other people can't handle it. I've been trying my best to not do this because my friends get hurt but that just results in me always being quiet and nodding.
