One of my very close friends recently moved houses and school. Though not far from the rest of us, I can see how this saddens him, but not enough. I don't know how a lovable cheerful guy is secretly hurting himself. Even the one time, we came over to his house, he kept me and another friend out in fear of us finding the knife. My roommate and I hang out with a group of girls and there is one girl, how we met the group, just ignores me for no reason. So I'm a freshmen at a small/medium sized college and am having a really hard time socially. I haven't gone to a single party and have made no friends. I struggle with social anxiety and every time I talk to someone new i get extremely nervous and become someone I'm not. Hi I'm 15, female, from America. Please read all. I was friends with this girl in grade 4 and she was so mean to me and always made me cry when I got home. My parents knew she hurt me with her words and tried to help. I even called a helpline once. After we weren't put in the same class in grade 5 (much to my relief) we drifted apart. In grade 7 we were in the same homeroom, and she asked to be my locker partner. I didn't want to be mean so I said yes. Then we were in the same class. I thought she'd hang out with her own friends at lunch but she began to hang out with me, and my friends, who at the end of the year became her friends. Honestly she is annoying, and one of her old friends in grade 7 came up to me once and said she was finally happy that this girl wasn't always following her around. So in grade 8 i wasn't in the same homeroom or class with this girl, and she actually seemed pretty cool to me in grade 8. She wasn't mean or annoying to be around. I still remember not liking her though, like if I had the chance to stop being friends with her I would. I couldn't though since she was friends with my close friends. I became friends with more people in grade 8, really close friends near the end of the year. In grade 9 I thought maybe the girl I didn't like would hang with my other close friends because they would usually go somewhere else at lunch (the only time we would get to hang) and I liked to sit in one place. But to my bad luck, she became friends with my new friends who she never talked to in grade 8. I was stuck with her AGAIN because she became friends with everyone who was my friend. She began to become very cocky, and she thought she was better then everyone else. She would bring me down again, and some other people in our friend group, and once again became the brat she always was. I would tell her that what she said hurt, but she would just brush it off. The worst part is we give her a ride in the morning to school and she gives me a ride after school. It's torture because she never talks in the car because her dad is there, and we always have to sit in silence. Now it's grade 10, and it seems like she's become even more mean. She is a total and utter, and I feel sorry for saying this, b#tch. She is so mean, and if you call her out on it her face becomes red and you can see she feels bad but she brushes it off. So, I m currently in high school and I honestly just feel like I don t fit in. I m kind of awkward sometimes because I m always thinking of what others think of me, but at the same time I try my best to be outgoing. I just feel like it s not paying off. I don t have a best friend and I ve never been/felt like anyone s closest friend or favourite person; I always feel like some kind of understudy. Like the person who you go to when you re real friends are unavailable. It kinda sucks. I try pretty hard to be friendly and make others feel wanted but it just feels like it s just not paying off. I just can t wait for graduation and college, but it s three whole years away. Sometimes I look at these people with all these friends and wish wish wish that I was them and not myself, which I guess means I have low self esteem even if I am an outgoing person. I do think I have low self esteem sometimes because I m not particularly smart or pretty or sporty or whatever merits friendship in high school, even though I d like to be. I just want to be confident and not care so much what people are thinking of me (the kids in my school are SO judgmental) but I find it so difficult. In grade 8 all my teachers ever did was tell me to smike more and it was really annoying. Now in grade 11 my teacher is starting to say "smile" at random times in class to me and it's really fricken annoying. I am a guy college student that is always short of cash. The only job I could find to fit my hours was at a legal brothel. I maintain their computer system. At first if anyone asked I would tell them what I did. No more. I tell anyone that ask about what I do that it is just a job I do on nights and weekends that pays my way for college. If I could find a job that pays more and has flexible hours I would take it but I can't. I don t particularly enjoy being around this person, when we were kids we were friends but we drifted apart and didn t have anything to do with each other for YEARS. My roommate showers a lot.... by that I mean me and my other room mates have counted 3-5 showers a day. She doesn t work out or do any physical tasks that would make one sweat. She just showers all the time and at least 20 minutes each. One when she wakes up, one before she leaves the apartment (meanwhile since her first shower in the morning she s done nothing), one when she comes back, sometimes another one in the afternoon, one before she s leaves to go out at night and one before bed. None of us have said anything yet, because it hasn t bugged us really cause the hot water heater does a fairly nice job... however today my alarm went off at 6 for me to do my morning workout, which she got up to and took a shower after I returned from my work out (around 8) she was in the shower again... (this could be the same or second shower).. so I decided the cool down in the room and get my stuff ready to shower, she left the bathroom and as I was getting ready still to take a shower, thinking I had plenty of time because everyone else was still sleeping... she went in the bathroom closed the door and the shower turned on again... I had no hot water now for mine... between my other roommate and I this morning she took 3 showers between 6am-9am... and will be back for at least 2 more... what could she possibly be doing (we have our suspensions but we don t wanna seem crazy) and how do we say something...

Ironically enough on Election day I stopped by my closest( best) female friends house to say " Hi". I was in the area for a job interview and because I always have time for my friends and would never be around without stopping by, I did. I knocked on the door and realized there was someone there visiting her. She has been to the hospital for this many times and I just have to persuade her to want to live but it only works until something doesn't go her way. And then it's right back with wanting to die. She doesn't want to live in the first place so it's like tryingredients to barter life when she hates everything I'm offering. This has been goion on for four years and it is only getting worse. How do I fight this??

I have some casual friends that I don't really talk to much and that aren't apart of me and my future husbands lives that I sent a save the dates to, but I have to cut down on people due to space and I was not going to send them an invitation is that super rude and should i just not send it or should i tell these people why?

I have moved into a new school and i have been there for 4 months. During those 4 months i have hung out with the popular group and i would say the weird group. In my old school i would always hang out with the weird people and i would have think no second in joining them in this school, the thing is my first friend i made since i came to this school is very pretty, sociable and funny. I am none of those things. As expected, she fit in with the popular group right away. she has been my door to the popular group. But i dont really like it. I dont fit in with them. I am more of a introvert who is honestly really weird. The thing is im afraid of what people would say if i joined the weird group. Haha.. this is really stupid, i know.. but i feel like im backed up in the corner. What do i do?
