Question: Room mating with the opposite sex? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 05:42 PM PST Once I graduate high school I am planning to move to a different state and get my own apartment. However, since I won't have much money I would want to get a roommate. I want to get a roommate of the opposite sex (I am male), but at the same time I don't want people to think that I just want a female roommate for inappropriate reasons. I also don't know how I would find any roommate (girl or guy), since I will be moving to a different state in which I don't know anyone. How can I find a girl roommate without being looked at as a pervert? |

Question: What is the purpose of life? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 05:35 PM PST I have no friends... family doesn't care. I'm depressed when I'm home with my husband. I really wish God would take me. I am no use. I don't want to do anything anymore just wait to die. I just want to be alone. Is it bad I want to abandon my daughter because I'm not a good role model. I don't do anything but lay in bed, she sees her father treat me like crap. What sense is my life? I try to hang in there but i give up. Maybe she would be better off without me. |

Posted: 20 Nov 2016 05:13 PM PST I m a girl and there s this other girl and i really really wanr to be her friend and I m not exactly sure why but I saw her at this other school and my friends all know her but I don t and she doesn t know me, I ll likely rarely if ever see her again because of the different schools thing and I can t just be like hey wanna hang out so I would like to reach out to her somehow, like I said right now I really wanna be her friend and I can t ask my friends that know her for help because a lot of them don t like her and she s not the type of friend any of us would normally have like she s definelty a popular and we are more the awesome loner losers emo nerd kids that get along with like everyone if we actually talked to people we are very likeable people but anyways for some reason I really want to befriend this girl that is entirely out of my social group and she doesn t even know my name most likely and I barely only ever interacted with her when I made a comment on something that was brought up while she was around and that was it she has a Facebook as well and I don t really want to directly just tell her oh you seem very interesting and I m very much interested in being your friend, like I said we are totally different social groups but I just have this really strange feeling like we could be the best of friends so what should I do ? |
Question: How do I solve my loneliness? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 04:53 PM PST I ve noticed recently that I don t really have a lot of friends. Yeah, I know quite a few people, but I never really talk to most of them outside of school and when I do talk to a few people outside of school, it always seems as if I m the one who s trying to uphold the conversation and talk. It s like no one really wants to talk to me, and I m putting in all the effort do make a connection with them. I see all these other people who are so close and have a lot of friends with deep connections, and I m just here, waiting for people to respond to my texts or open my snaps, or seeing them open my snaps and not respond. I just want some sort of friendship that isn t one-sided. Ugh, I feel so desperate and lonely but I don t think confronting people about whether they want to be my friend or not and ask them to contribute more the friendship is going to be the best option. Please help. |

Question: How to talk to people at work with confidence? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 03:54 PM PST Hi, there! At my job I have trouble talking to my coworkers. When I talk to them, I talk way too fast (they always ask to repeat myself ergh), I think too much of what I m going to say and it kinda goes wrong, and my eyes look away from them etc. Oh, and when they come up to me, I freeze. I don t know why lol. I want to be able to make friends at work. I come home feeling bad that I don t talk to anybody there. I m always at my desk while everybody else is talking and laughing without me. I want to stop thinking too much when talking to people. I m fine talking to my family at home. I m more relaxed and funny. I really want to talk to these people. I wish I could be myself all the time. I need help guys. Sorry if this was long. Thanks! |

Question: My friend likes my ex? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 03:05 PM PST Me and my friend were at a get together, and my ex happened to be there. Now, keep in mind we broke up 2 years ago so being around him now isn't a big deal. He started flirting w my friend (not directly in front of me, she told me later about it) and put his number in her phone to play games on iMessage. She told me later that she's attracted to him and wants to see what happens, but wanted to know what I thought. Now, I don't have any feelings / attraction towards my ex. But I would never go after one of my friends' exes — it's just not something you do. I told her I think it would make things weird but I'm not going to try to control her. What do you think? |
Question: New friend won't talk to me anymore. What gives? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 03:03 PM PST I met this guy who's the same age as me, on a penpal website. We used to text and recently started calling each other (only twice so far). Anyway, he just decided to drop contact with me. He no longer likes anything I share on facebook, and just has no interaction with me anymore. It's been nearly a month since I last heard from him. I know I didn't say/do anything to offend him. When we use to talk we got along so great... at least that's what I thought. We had things in common, the very last thing he texted me was a smiley face. What could possibly be wrong? I would ask him that myself but I feel that if he hates me all of a sudden, then what's the point of reaching out to him? I feel hurt by this. because to think you had a great friend then have them suddenly turn away from you....and wonder what could've went wrong. I know for a fact he's single and not seeing anyone. So it's nothing involved with that. He is still very active on facebook.....Spends most of his time on it is what it seems like. He just doesn't interact whatsoever with me anymore. He blocked me once then when I emailed him on the penpal site again, I sent him my email in case he wanted to stay in touch...he replied back "sure". Then he unblocked me, and I never heard from him again. What hurts more is that he was literally EVERYTHING I was searching for in a guy. Because of that I have a slight crush on him but he doesn't know that. He was literally every answer to my prayer (his career, his looks, intelligence, his personality, etc.) Everything. |
Question: Friendships is crumbling. What could be the issue? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 03:02 PM PST I became friends with a guy and he's pretty cool and whatnot. We did almost everything together (party, dinner, drinks, etc) and I would consider him a friend and was starting to turn into a close friend. Everything was fine between us until something happened to me at a party. A close friend of his sexually assaulted me while I was drunk and he's been very distant towards me since then. I pulled him to the side and confronted him about the distance and animosity between us, but he said everything was fine between us. I talked to him again about the issues between us and he says that nothing is wrong. I told him that his personality towards me has changed from day to night and he's denying it. I really don't know what to do anymore. I don't want to lose a friend, but I feel like he doesn't want me around since the incident. What should I do? |
Question: How to Confront a Failed Suicide? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:59 PM PST My friend suddenly started to distance herself. She only texted me during these moments she has where she feels out of breath and suicidal. I have moments like these too but I ve never acted on them and I never expected her to. She tried to kill herself. She used pills. I don t know what to do. I don t know if she wanted her parents to see how badly she needs help or if she truly and utterly wanted to die. But I m worried. I want to talk to her again. How? |
Question: What do you say when a conversation on text is getting dry to keep it going again? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:58 PM PST My friend and I can talk literally for hours except I think we are running out of things to talk about and I know I could say like "have you ever watched this" or "did you hear about this" but I feel like saying that would be random like it wouldn't fit if that makes sense 😂 I don't know I feel like all we say now is "what are you doing" and stuff like that |
Question: My "friend" called me fat? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:46 PM PST So Im a 14 year old girl and I THOUGHT I was friends with this guy(hes stick thin) and we were just talking and he ended up laughing and calling me fat (Im 5'3 and 104 pounds) and I didn't know how to respond so I just called him really thin. My "best friend" who is a girl heard him say that and instead of defending me she just high fives him and said "welcome to the skinny club". She continued to tell him all about how skinny she was but honestly she's about the same as me, just taller and I was feeling pretty upset so I'm just wondering why do guys think it's okay to call girls fat? Am I fat? |
Question: What to do if a friend never initiates contact with you? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:46 PM PST I began talking to a guy a year ago online and we became friends pretty easily. There was even a point where I considered him to be my closest friend, but recently he never seems to initiate the conversation. I always start the conversation because I know that if I don't then he'll never get around to talking to me. We often talk for a short amount of time and then he just stops replying. I'll wait a few days and he still won't have replied so I'll start a new conversation and the same thing happens again. I really enjoy talking to him but I feel like such a nuisance by always initiating the conversation. I'd like to get to a point where I can call him and discuss this with him but I never seem to get the option to bring it up while talking with him. I don't want to be a nuisance and nag him but I'm genuinely confused because I thought he enjoyed talking to me too. What should I do? |
Question: I can't talk to my "best friend"? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:45 PM PST So past the 6 months, me and one of my best friends haven't really been seeing each other that often. One reason is because of her full-time job and the other because I fell out with my friend group. I stopped talking to one girl because she made me miserable and totally disrespected my boyfriend and the entire group, including my supposed best friend, has stopped talking to me. My best friend (let's call her Anna) used to be so close with me. We'd hang out all the time, tell each other loads and have so much fun. However I always felt I was the better friend, she would be more selfish, I would always have better listening skills and would've went out of my way for her more. Since I am no longer friends with 2 of the other girls in the group, in the last 3 months I have only seen her twice. Its always me starting the conversation, trying to arrange things and quite frankly, i feel betrayed that she chose the other girls who I fell out with, over me, despite her calling me her "best friend". They go out all the time without me at weekends, even if its a weekend me and Anna tried to arrange to see each other. I just feel like she never really was a good friend to me and that she betrayed me. I feel like I can't even meet up with her because she never has time for me. What should I do? |
Question: How do I deal with my roommate always bringing her boyfriend over? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:38 PM PST She invites him over almost every day and usually they just make out and talk about sexual things. They both get undressed as soon as he arrives and lay in bed in just their underwear. They touch each other under the blankets and talk about it and make noises, so I know what's going on. And she likes to climb on top of him and pretend to ride him while making loud sex noises, which I think she just does to make me uncomfortable. I am okay with him coming over but them being almost naked and being really sexual is uncomfortable to me. Even when she said they were going to do homework together, it ends with them being madly inappropriate. I told her she should do homework with him in the library, but she refused. I have been feeling sick for the past week and a half and barely even feel well enough to get food from the dining hall, so when they are over together I really can't leave. When I felt better I would avoid the room as much as possible because I did not want to be here when they were doing that. What can I do to help the situation? Also, my roommate is my sister, which makes her think she can get away with treating me like **** because I can't do anything about it. |
Question: How do I cope with him being in Basic Training? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:28 PM PST My boyfriend is in basic training, at Fort sill. Its only been 2 months now, but it is so hard to deal with being so close, and then not talking at all really. He is coming back for christmas, that's great and I am excited. I have cried so much recently, and I don't know why. Just. i could use some advise on how to deal with all of it. Especially since this is only basic, he is not deployed yet. I am in school, and i have job, and i volunteer at my church a lot. I still am very active, but nothing seems to help. |
Question: How forgiving as a friend should you be? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:25 PM PST So... to cut a long story short... I'm longer friends with a girl who more or less treated me badly towards the end of my friendship. We are similar people and would clash often. However towards the end, she not only disrespected me but completely disrespected my boyfriend and generally made me miserable all of the time. I haven't spoken to her for nearly 6 months. Before I cut contact, she started to ignore my messages in our group chat whenever I suggested to meet up. After months of feeling like ****, I stopped the talking to her. I haven't seen or heard from her whatsoever since. However, I'm a person who doesn't like to hold grudges. I forgive but never forget. A part of me wants to meet up with her discuss our whole falling out. I've lost two friends as well as her in our former group (one who was very, very close with me) and I just feel a bit sorry for myself that I've lost two friends because of her. She treated me horribly and the way I look at it, I stood up for myself by cutting contact. So what I should I do? Should I let bygones be bygones and let her pass? Or should I meet up with her and resolve everything? Thanks! |
Question: What should I do when a long distances friend accuses me of things I haven't done? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:21 PM PST So I know this guy and we play games online very often. We became pretty good friends we talk on the phone and play together everyday. But lately he starts accusing me of sneaking around offline and playing with his friends behind his back. I'm not. But every other weekend he blows up and creates drama between me and his friends. His friends are my friends too and although we do play all together I've never lied about it. He goes complete psycho (lying to his friends about me, saying really mean things) but then a few days later he's fine just to bring it back up the next weekend. I know we are long distance friends and we havent met. But he has a problem with drinking and I just want to help. What do I do? He's driving me crazy. He won't even believe when his friends. |
Question: I feel lonely and don't have anyone? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 02:14 PM PST My sister recently moved to another state to be with her boyfriend, my other sister just got a boyfriend, I don't really have any friends, I feel like my only best friend and I are not really that great of friends anymore. My sister that moved was my absolute best friend and we'd do everything together but now that she's gone I feel like I don't have anyone. I'm in college and it's hard to make friends and I'm not the type to party or anything. |
Question: Why did my pharmacist care? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 01:24 PM PST My back was sore from lifting heavy stuff so I went to a drug store and asked the pharmacist what he would recommend for an aching back. He said "Been Gay". I told him no, I had been straight all my life. Why would the pharmacist be interested in my sexual orientation? |

Question: Why does she take her anger out on me? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 01:07 PM PST I've been having a coworker, who I'm close to, take her anger out on me. She's been doing it frequently. She hangs out with two guys- me and this way older guy at work. She always end up mad after being with the other guy, because he hurts her. All I do is comfort her and listen to her. She takes her anger out on me; not me. However, after she does, the next day, she'll smile and wave at me. She'll try to tease me and play with me, but I'll ignore her sometimes. She's been hurt in the past, but she tends to try to hurt me, even though I didn't do anything to her. |
Question: I feel totally demotivated? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 01:07 PM PST I can't do anything! Even doing homework of my favorite subject isn't fun anymore...all the things I loved doing now make me anxious. I can't even communicate with my friends lately I feel like I'm losing them. Everything basically makes me feel bad and worthless. What should I do? |
Question: How to tell and make sure that I don t have or get lice!? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 12:51 PM PST So first of all my friend told me she found out that her friend out of school found out that she had lice then during the weekend my friend found out that she actually had nits because her and her out of school friend shared a hair brush recently before that. They don t know who started it but I was with my friend during that whole week at school and she said she had been itching her head for a while and she said that it might ve been because of the nits. However, she told me that I m the only friend that she s told and she doesn t want me to tell anyone else. Today is Sunday and she said she got rid of the lice and she is coming to school tomorrow. I got coconut oil shampoo and I used lavender body wash today in the shower because I read that those scents keep away lice but I don t know if that will actually work or not. I m scared to sleep in my bed because what if I already have lice or nits? How do I tell if I do or not? Also, I can t tell anyone cause I ll probably lose her trust and friendship because she said she doesn t want everyone at school knowing about this. If I keep a distance from her tomorrow she will probably freak out. What do I do? We might have a snow day tomorrow but probably not.... How can I guarantee me not getting lice from her or how do I tell if I already have it? Thanks! |

Question: Should I make an Instagram? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 12:42 PM PST Some of my friends said I should. I take a lot of artsy pics, so I guess I could post those. But I'm worried I won't have any followers. I have friends, just not a lot. So idk.. Opinions? |
Question: Stupid friends acting like they are superior? Posted: 20 Nov 2016 12:35 PM PST some of my friends are acting like they are superior, insulting others (not me) and behaving as they are gods just because they may have a little success with women. i don't care that they insult others or something like that but what makes me anger is that they are stupid and when you disagree with them they are narrow minded and tell that you have no idea about the subject when you say something opposite. i cannot have a conversation about controversial topics as i know they are wrong but unwilling and maybe unable to understand why. why some stupid people act like this?i cannot tell them they are not clever and to shut up but what can i do? they are my friends i cant insult them heavily. i dont care about saying something to them but then i will have problems with my other mates in the group |
Posted: 20 Nov 2016 12:33 PM PST On Saturday my friend found a pic of naked huy on my phone and i didnt say anything. that night i couldn't sleep of my fear that he will tell everyone about it .today is Sunday and tomorrow i have school .Should i tell him the truth that pic is from 3 years ago and that some random guy on Facebook had sent to me and as you know messenger stores pics from chat on your gallery or will it make matters worse because he will think i am lying to cover up that i am gay. |
