Well I recently had 2 friends at school but now they always hang out together and they never talk to me only if I say something to them. And whenever I walk past them looking sad (I do it on purpose for them to realize I m mad they ditched me) they just dont give a f***. One of those people I hung out with for years she was my best friend but now she doesnt even say a word to me. The other one she came to my school the beginning of last year, we hung out often but then this new girl came, thry became bestest friends and so now she ditched me. But theres a girl at my school and i guess we are "friends". But I dont think were real friends, she always hangs out with her "boyfriend" and only comes to me when hes not at school. Im so lonely that it has gotten to the point where I sit in the bathroom stall at recess and go on my phone looking up "I m at school right now in the bathroom stall cause I have no friends I need help." Seriously. And at recess I see everyone else hanging out with friends laughing and being happy. I have never done anything bad to my friends! I never said anything mean, I never ditched them, I shared my stuff with them, I never told their secrets! Maybe am I just a boring friend? I want real friends. Friends that like me for who I am. I am very mature for my age and we all got along very well. Because I am mature for my age, I don t exactly get along well with kids my own age. I am pretty lonely and really miss the conversations I had with some of these people. I want to reconnect with them over Facebook (they live from an hour away to five hours away) or by texting them, but I don t want to bother them. I'm tired of how your man treats you SO good and you probably have too much good sex! One day, you'll break up and come crying to me!" I couldn't believe what she said. I was like, "I know you did not just say that to me!" she said, "What truth hurts? Just because you have a good man doesn't mean you have to make me keel jealous!" we got into a huge fight and we aren't speaking to each other right now. She's gotten pushy and demanding about making plans. She'll expect me to drop everything for her and constantly be available to hang out. A lot of the time I'm caught up with work or school, so I can't and she'll act sad. I enjoy making plans w her, but her behavior is pushing me away. I don't want to feel pressured into a friendship because she "needs" me. She'll also make the conversations all about her, and I'll come out of the conversation feeling drained. Nice people, friendly and all. But the problem here is that they don t talk to me, I am not one of their friends. Its very strange as I have done nothing wrong, but I am excluded from many things, it feels like they just don t like me. Let me give you an example. I met this girl from my class at the bus stop, she looks at me and nothing. Looks ahead and walks away. This is the same person I have spoken to multiple times, joked around with etc. I mean she is my class fellow but its very strange. There are a few others that do the same thing. And I know for a fact that 3 of my friends will be in a room together and the other two will be together, and it is 4 to a room. So if I go with the group of three I will be guaranteed a bed with someone I know (there's 2 beds), but I will be ultimately ditching the other group of two. And if I go with the group of two, we probably will have to share the room with someone I don't know. I don't want to ditch either group, and I'm equally close with both. And both think I will be with them so I want to at least have an idea of who so they don't just chose then I'm stuck with the other. I know this is a year away but I want a general idea. Thanks xx |

He passes by where I work at, but doesn't say hi to me like he used to. I smile at him, but he doesn't respond or smile back. We got into a small fight with me telling him to stop doing nice things for me. He would make lunch for him and me. He would also treat me with respect, but I was afraid he would hurt me. Turns out that he meant all the stuff I did with genuine meaning and I just pushed him away. Now, he's been hanging out with some other girl at work. I heard she comforted him after he was sad from what I told him and from ignoring him. So, now, he's ignoring me and only really saying hi and that's it. Like, he'll only say it and then walk away. He brought thank you cards to people at work, but I was one of the few people that didn't get one. He would also write me thoughtful letters, but he's stopped after what happened. |

Recently a friend asked me to do something this holiday weekend. i messaged back that i was sick again (since this person has invited me out several times, and i couldn't each time go out due to my illness). Problem is, people know i work too. I have a flexible job so it allows me to work around my illness. I think friends get frustrated with me because they think I'm blowing them off when I'm not. Ive even tried showing friends proof of my medical bills to show I'm not lying. These people still stop calling and wanting to hang out. I don't get it...shouldn't it be the other way around? I mean, if my friend were ill, i would ask if there was anything i could do and go out of my way to help them....not fall away and stop communicating! I've only ever had one actual best friend (7th-part of 8th grade) but that drifted away after a year. We were still good friends in 8th grade but now we don't talk much anymore. We just stopped talking & I think it was because we never talked about important stuff we just laughed and talked about stupid stuff, never serious. I'm afraid this is what is gonna happen with all of my friends because I'm afraid that i am just unable to become close to people so they drift away because on the inside i wanna talk about my feelings but on the outside I never do, I just laugh with people and talk about stupid stuff. I have a very funny, social personality that people like but does it keep me from becoming close to ppl?Last year in middle school I had a ton of friends (still not close) that I always talked to but I'm afraid those are even drifting away. I miss my old group of friends that I met in middle school (included my ex best friend) and they're basically gone, some more than others (there were six of us) now I'm sad and by myself & only really have acquaintances and a couple good friends, no close or best friends. I started realising this and how bad it made me feel last week when I was in maths class. I was sat next to a girl who is supposed to be my friend. Then the new girl who's only been to this school for a few weeks is sat next to her too. So my friend is in the middle. We start doing the work and they are talking and laughing and my friend has her head completely turned away from me to look at her. later I ask a question about the work because I don't understand and I completely get blanked. Then when she wants an answer she asks me and I just say what? and then i don't know? cause I don't want to tell her when she is so horrible to me. Also this same "friend" she never goes in the same group as me in sport class.I often get ignored when I ask questions or when we're in a circle talking someone stands in front of me and I'm cut out of it. or they don't move so there's enough room for me. I find it so rudeA lot of people at my school have started to annoy me being so rude with body language and just plain ignoring me. Once even a teacher said "put ur hand up if u want me to stamp ur work" and I was sitting there with my hand up for over 10 minutes. She looked at me and saw me and then just went to people without their hand up and asked if they needed stamping. It made me cry lol because it's how it's been my whole life. |

Whenever he wants to he starts kicking me in my legs and stuff like that for no reason , i told him several times to stop , and if he doesn't stop i usually leave. Also he is a very violent and angry person and if i start punching him or something he'll probably beat the holy hell out of me . I also smoke occasionally , but he doesnt smoke and i think he was the one burning my jacket with a cigarette whether he is smoking or not , he probably took a cigarette from someone and on purpose he burned my jacket with it. So , in the end here's the deal : If he doesn't go out with us , everything is fine , since no one has a problem with me , but when he goes out i feel that i need to leave basically. Posted: 24 Nov 2016 10:24 AM PST So, my very good platonic guy friend asked me to meet up with him and his gf for thanksgiving. I explained that I've been very sick, and have to work on Thanksgiving. Truth be told, i have had an ongoing serious illness for about 3 years. He kinda knows, but doesn't know that much because i keep it to myself. In the past, i have lost friendships because I'm too sick to meet up with friends and they don't believe me because i still work. The reason i can still work is because i can work when i want too....when i feel good. My illness i believe is related to an autoimmune disease that has times of "flare ups" and other times when I'm feeling better. I sent my friend about 3 fb messages, and a copy of my recent medical bills showing proof. My medical bills this year have totaled over $80,000 from surgeries, ER visits, and other problems. I could tell he saw my messages since it said "read" but he isn't responding back. Im devastated. I don't want to lose a good friend over my legitimate illness. I don't know what else i can tell him since i even gave him proof. What should i do? Why wouldn't he respond to me even when i have given him proof? |

Been earning my own $ since age 14 and have always had small hookups (non-penetrative) small circle of male friends but around age 21-22 I got tired of spending time outside of work hanging out with females who acted surprised when I advanced on them and made a conscious decision to sever any and all ties with all of my female friends. I am 23 and getting tired of women my age who seemingly all seem to be hanging out at tue bar but it also makes me nervous about my future because we are only getting older. Eventually, things got to the point where they would argue over who I should hang out with. After a series of events, I ended up being majorly A. s friend and I didn t help the sibling rivalry. We lost contact when they moved away and a couple years ago we found eachother on facebook. We (E. and A.) still talk but E. and I are not as close as I would like to be and I don t know if that s because we ve grown into different people or because of past issues. A. are not as close either but I know that s because she s so busy which is great for her. So, should I apologize to E. or let sleeping dogs lie? For the past week I've been hanging out with my new friends who are slightly younger than me I want to take care of them so they don't end up in the bad crowd like I once did. I haven't shown up to our usual hangout spot for the past week but I've been trying to talk to her but I haven't seen her in school. She hasn't been replying to my fb messages either. Why is she mad at me? I'm just trying to make more friends. |

Many times I have arranged things for our meetings and had to deal with it myself, last time I had a reservation that she cancelled a night before. This time there was not even an excuse she told me that she was not in the mood I can figure out myself how to cancel tickets since my sister arranged the event. Recently another friend of mine that always meets up, cancelled just an hour before the event when I was about the leave the house, we agreed same day to meet after 6 hours. She apologized profusely many times. Later when my flaky friend heard this happened, she told me to stop having contact with her and never see someone who bails last minute! I heard her out at the moment. Next day I texted my flaky friend since she never gives me space to speak out. I told her that she is a very good friend but I want to set boundaries from now on, because she has bailed me last minute multiple times. Later I got a text with I can not believe how you can say this to me! You know I have so much stress and work!.. but don't we have that all? Anyway she gave me an ultimatum about whether I want to end our friendship and she is waiting for me to answer. I have no idea how to react on this, she is always there when you just need to talk to someone but then again I am tired of being treated this way. What's the best way to handle this situation? And why this ultimatum? |
| Question: My friends ignore me and never ask to hang out? Posted: 24 Nov 2016 08:25 AM PST I have this big group of friends (all girls) and they are all nice to me. I laugh and chat with them just like anyone else does. We get along well at school. But as time went on, I started to notice little things they do. I started seeing that some of them are using me. They'd ask for money to go buy some food and promise to give it back later. Well they never do unless I ask them where my money is Now I see that if I ask for a favor or something, they don't do it. I give them everything and they give me nothing When it is the weekend, I always want to go out and be social with them. Except I NEVER get asked to hang out with them, ever. They'd go to cafés or the beach or just celebrate someone's birthday somewhere and I'm never included. Id find pictures of them on Instagram and snapchat and all that jazz and they all seem to have such a great time I probably haven't gone out in weeks or even months because they never ask to hang out. When I think about it I cry. They've never cared about me yet I care so much about them. They even FORGOT it was my birthday. It's very hard for me to find friends because I live in an area where all my friends or boys and girls all go to my school. I basically know everyone in my grade and it's just them (my "friend" group) that I hang out with because I already know everybody else. If I leave them, I'll have no where to go. And if I confront them, they'll say I'm talking ****. I'm lost and depressed :( I need someone |
| Question: How do i help my friend? Posted: 24 Nov 2016 08:18 AM PST My friend is talking about suicide, and its serious. I think she has a plan and she is posting about it on instagram and i can't get her to stop or change her mind and I'm really upset and nervous. I don't live in the same town as her so i can't physically do anything to change it and shes not answering me anymore. I get how serious this is and I'm not the only person who knows about it. I've said everything I can and shes gotten professional help in the past, but it didn't help her much. I'm getting really worried please give me some advice |
| Question: Why is she ignoring me? What should I do? Posted: 24 Nov 2016 08:08 AM PST We hung out weeks back and things were fine. However, slowly she got more and more distant with me. I would text her, just ask her a question, or ask her to hangout, and I would get a reply, VERY late. Now, I didn't say anything or do anything to hurt her, in fact, I helped her, repaired he phone for free. Now, I just try to send a snap, be jokey, and nothing, she doesn't even open it, yet she's posting online. The weirdest part, is she will text me, randomly, ask a question, start a conversion, or tell me something, and then I reply, and she just leaves me on read and never responds after that. My head says to just stop contacting her for a little while, but I feel like if I do, I will just be forgotten, and poof gone, a friend I have held close and care about would just be gone. Usually when I'm upset about something I try to hide it but , they try really hard to get me to tell them what's wrong. I try not to tell them because we both are going through a very simular situation so I don't wanna make them uncomfortable but they always insist until I give in. Everytime I give in and tell them what's happening, they never reply to the message and they stop talking to me for a day or two even though its never about anything that they did. I think it's because it makes them uncomfortable since they can probably relate but they don't know what to say, but they still always insist that I tell them what's going on. Recently when I told them what's wrong instead of immediately ignoring me they tried to help by saying that it's not my fault. I disagreed with them and I think that offended them somehow because it's been a while. They saw the message but chose not to respond for the past several days this time. What should I say now? Everyone in my grades adores him (I'm in 8th and he's in 11th) and thinks that he lives this awesome like cause he's really funny and cute. He's gay thought (Im not "interested" in him so well yeah) I know the real him tho and he said to me that I'm like his best friend cause he doesn't go to any other people's houses. My mom knows his mom and that's how we were introduced so my mom and him are really good friends too. A couple things about him are that he has a septum piercing and he likes dogs and cats. I like to spoil my friends so that's an option. We love going to hot topic and stuff like that. He can't take any jokes at all and he always gets what he wants. I REALLY hate him. He doesn't stop untill you say "Oh, yeah, you're right" (Even though he isn't). Oh, wait he doesn't even stop when you say that. He says "Yes, why did you even start the argument at the beginning if im right. - And I'm thinking "When aren't you?" He drives me crazy! Even if you come up with arguments that obviously prooves him wrong, he goes on and finds a way to make it invalid. Is there a way to beat him? |

And I was just wondering what to buy for this friend that I got. He's a guy, he plays basketball and volleyball, he loves art and starbucks. I'm not that close to him, so this is all I know. I have a budget of $15-$20. I'm going to get him instant hot chocolate for sure (with a mini recipe on how to make the best hot chocolate attached to it). Some other ideas are bath bomb, sports wristband, scarf (it gets really cold here)... But they all seem pretty cliché. I want to give him a legit gift. What's something creative and awesome? I don't mind giving him homemade things, but I just don't know what to make. If anyone has any ideas, please share! Thanks :) P.S. We're high school seniors by the way. |

But then later we pass by again at the hallway & i turn around to look at her but she hide behind her friend. Posted: 24 Nov 2016 04:36 AM PST I've never had many friends and I've always been okay with it, but sometimes it can be a bit frustrating when none of them can go out or they all have other plans and I don't want to stay at home. Sometimes I really want to get a drink at a bar but I'm kind of scared to go alone. I don't mind going to concerts alone or do things during the day, but going at a bar alone seems a bit sad. Plus I have social anxiety and I'm always afraid of people judging me. I know I shouldn't care but it's just how I feel. I also really want to meet new people because I feel like I haven't met anyone in a really long time, and I kind of miss it. I know that being alone makes me more approachable, but most people always go out in groups so it's intimidating for me... Any tips on how to motivate myself to do more things alone and meet people ? |
| Question: My best friend is soo conceited? Posted: 24 Nov 2016 03:56 AM PST She's been my bff for 6 years and we're sophomores in university now . And ever since we started uni she gradually changed to be so conceited . Ok i admit she's gorgeous and her personality is unique and cheerful but that doesn't justify this . If someone complements her (which happens often) she'll say that she was ugly and didn't even try to put on something nice that day . And when no one pays attention to her she'll do anything to get it back to her like complimenting herself . She has this annoying habit of bragging about how many boys asked her out and how many people she knows and then proceeds to tell me that i know no one but her . It's annoying i do know people other than her but not as much as her . She likes to tell people what to do as if she knows everything. She even told my dad once how to do his job And he was really annoyed . To people it sounds like she's joking and even to me sometimes but ever since i started to tell her to tone it down a little - in a nice way- i discovered that she wasn't joking at all . She really thinks that she's the best . And what's worse is that people listen to her , like if we were at a parking lot and she wants to park and there's a car ahead of us that wants to park there , she would just get out of the car and tell him/her to let her park there and they'll usually do it gladly . I tried doing that once and i got some really powerful glares and a no to my face . This is just an example of many. What do i do? |
