So my best friend asked if I would be the best man of his wedding. I said yes of course. Kicker is the wedding is in Hawaii and it s going to cost me a lot of money. I m starting to think I shouldn t go because I m in the process of saving for a ring and eventually a wedding of my own. Is it bad if I told him I cannot go anymore? The wedding is scheduled for April of 2017. I will feel like a complete jerk if I don t, but I m also looking out for myself financially

Shouldn't both be the same as isn't the only difference that you don't know the date of a funeral until a few days before whereas wedding is planned in advance. What makes weddings more private and more expensive? Funerals have receptions just like weddings even though there is no band. So why are weddings invite only but funerals almost always open to anyone?

People advise me after she finishes uni.. but I know that there will be all kinds of temptations and parties etc, so i figured best before uni so that shes already settled and not distracted from her studies

I am a 27 year old woman and i have a friend who is getting married but she is getting married in Spain. Now obviously it will cost to get there, my wife and i think it may be a good idea to turn it into s holiday. The wedding is next year and it is around the time that my wife and i have our abroad holiday each year, because we usually have two holidays a year, the first is a holiday that isnt abroad then the second is a holiday that is abroad, last year we spend 2 weeks in London and then later in the year we spend 3 weeks in New York. So the wedding in Spain, we are thinking of going to the wedding then to spend a few weeks in Spain afterwards. My wife and i made a list recently of all the places we would like to visit and Spain was one of them. So we are thinking of taking our official holiday after going to the wedding

My fiancee broke off with me and gave me back my engagement ring. Now we re back together but working in different parts of the world. I don t have my engagement ring which she gave back to me with me. How do i show her that she s still engaged without the engagement ring i bought for her in the beginning ? Any advice for gifts? Edit: I must have confused the situation. She broke off the engagement by handing me back the ring. I've kept it with me in another country where i am working at the moment. I've came back to my home country now for a week and felt that i should have brought the engagement ring back with me because we were sort of getting back together through talking over the internet/web/phone etc. It's just that i don't have the ring with me but i'd like to show my sincerity. Is there a different gift? EDIT2: Is there another gift i can surprise her with now as i don't have my engagement ring with me and give it back to her when i see her the next time. Or is this not needed.
