| Posted: 27 Nov 2016 05:40 PM PST I ride the bus to school. I'm always the last one on, meaning that there are rarely seats i can sit on that are empty. I also go to middle school, meaning kids are growing up and reaching their adult height, meaning its very hard to make 3 people fit in a seat, but that is what i have to do. When i sit in a 3 seat, half of my rear is hanging off of it. Whenever the bus turns, I have to hold on to another seat to prevent falling off. When i ask someone nicely to scoot over, sometimes they don't, and i have to keep asking other people if i can sit down. How can i find a way to be more comfortable? |

I have grown made new friends and has been in therapy for a lot of abuse that has happened since I waS a child. I waS bullied by my own family at home and I had to get away and get my life together. Now my family still think I'm a liar, they still talk about me like trash, and paint me out to be a bad person. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing to them. I'm trying to build a life for myself... I feel like my family will try to come out here to California to ruin my life and tell everyone about the childish dumb lies I've told. I never lied about anything serious and I never lied on anyone. I just want to be happy. Now what? What if my friends find out about this and think I'm this crazy liar or something? I actually take others shifts because I just enjoy it. I'm at the register and we have credit goals and I always tend to compete to get the highest number and when I don't make it, it makes me sad. Like yesterday I got 11 so I was really proud and I got my manager to compliment me and then today I barely got 3. I just don't get it but I love working. Is it weird? |

I have her in my first period music, second period advanced algebra, third period science, and sixth period art. During those times, she gets so stalky and she legitimately stands next to me like I'm talking to her… She might be a nice person, but she left the stalky-est impression ever. Our school is very cliquey, and let's just say she's a loner (Very ironically, there's a loner group), and I'm one of those people who have plenty of friends. I am friendly and personable. I am not too self conscious but I don't have a big ego. Some people say I am too nice and I feel my opinion is valued. However, no matter how hard I try, I have never been able to fit into any group. I try to talk to them but they always move into another conversation with other people... I am never invited to any parties or get-togethers. Sometimes I will be in the center of many people and there are always groups around me with only me alone! I try to get in on some conversations but quickly get pushed out and ignored. I don't have one close friend like others do either. The only times I am able to feel somewhat included is in conversations with older people who are 40+ years old. They say I look and act very maturely for my age..Very rarely guys my age show interest in me... Most often however older men try taking to me. I just want to know what I am doing wrong. Before you think of it as this it's certainly in no way teasing/flirting it's definitely been like brother and sister from the start. We care a lot about each other and if one of us is really down the other will always be concerned and help but in general like we say horrible things for a laugh back and forth and hit each other. At first it was jokingly tripping each other up or slaps but now it's escalated into full force whacking kicking kneeing etc. I didn't think anything of it because we both do it pretty evenly we can both take it as it's the same as I am with my actual brother, but I spoke to someone who said this is wrong and really weird and that I shouldn't let him hit me cause he's a boy? I get if it was nasty and he punched out of anger or something that would be completely different, but even though it is quite intense I've just always seen it the same way as I do with my actual brother yet now I'm feeling paranoid. We chatted as we walked to class & I mentioned that I started a business. A few days later the professor assigned us to groups for a project. She just so happens to place me with him (the much older man). We all exchanged email addresses to each other. After the group members left, the man asked me about my business, & said that he wants to help. We had a long chat after class talking about business. He told me he know a lot of people, and can help me with whatever I need. Immediately after he left the school he emailed me asking if he could treat me to lunch to discuss more business and he left me his number. We have met up for lunch about 4 times afterwards. We talk about everything! He's trying to help me with everything even outside of the business. Anything I ask he'll do. I introduced him to my mom, but she think he's a perv. He told me that's odd because all of his girlfriend's mother loved him. The last time we had lunch he texted me afterwards and he said he wanted to put his jacket around me shoulders but he thought it would be too forward. He's also married. What exactly does he want from me? I'm having a hard time reading him. |

I am very independent and like doing things on my own, as well as being alone in general. Other people in my grade are... well, cringey, annoying, popularity divided and just act a lot younger than me. I personally dont like going to the parties and dances and stuff, I mean, I m an introvert I guess. I would like them but they just aren t fun at all. I feel like I have my life mostly put together: I dont want to explain it all though, that would take forever. And my life currently is being shaped by my past. I have delt with tons of ****. But I even have better understandings of what to do, sort of morality, than my older sister. I really don t know how to desribe this but basically I am ready to move on in life and I feel stuck. I have grown out of my best friends, and have started to drastically dislike them. I d say I am quite fearless of the world. I am also a heathen, I don t believe in a lot of bullcrap. That said, I know it sounds like I am a bit conceited and in a teenage phase but really, this is just how I am but I don t get it. I feel alone, but I have a great outlook on life and I am the one who keeps myself moving. Anyone know whats wrong with me? |

I was with my dad this weeked so he was going to drop me off. He wasn't going though, only my mom and grandma where. So he picks me up from my moms house because its close to the place but it was late like 12 pm I believe. The next day there was an after party and he was taking me there. Right before we got there i texted my friend to make sure some people were there so i wasnt alone. When we were literally out front my dad said, You can let me get down and see if someones there or have a friend come outside and get you. I was like what's the point of that? My friend had already texted me people where there and there should have been no problem, he said it in a very angry annoyed tone. So I was like why do you have to be like that? And then he got mad and ended up not going when we were literally right there. |

She vented some of shear stresses and asked how I was doing, that i was on her mind. Although she's gotten very quiet, she always randomly blowing up my notifications with "likes" on my posts. I sent her a Thanksgiving message thanking her for helping me all the time and how thankful I was for her being a friend etc. I wasn't expecting a huge response but all she put was "Happy Thanksgiving to you too" Do you think I've annoyed her? I am in year 8 in secondary. my first year was very hard because no one from my primary want to that school and being the girl who is tall and a bit chubby with a funny name is hard. It took over a year for me to feel accepted only for me to feel like an outcast again. I just don't to social trends. I don't have snapchat or instagram. I also love reading. There is actually no one in my year I can call a close friend. I associate with people but if I have the choice I wouldn't. I just need partnets in drama and stuff. Which I also love. I feel much more mature than them as well. So I have decided that there is no point me sitting in a circle of girls I don't even fit into or really want to. I would rather write and read all day. I will distance myself from people and do just that. Even if people from my primary did come... they are not ideal either. I go to an all girls school. Yay (!). I love making people smile but I will never fit in. The only other reason forfriends except for company for me is just to eat lunch next to. How do overcome, if it were to occur, any feeling of loneliness? I want to try make friends out of school. But last time tried it didn't and weĺl. Where can I start? No not the swimming pool. A few times he came close to leaving, and he still left for stupid reasons. He's tried talking to me since the breakup, but has had a couple new girlfriends since. About a month ago, he tells me he can't message me anymore because it's "cheating" to his new girl (although I wasn't exactly talking to him in the first place) so I just never responded. I'm not friends with him on FB, but all his stuff is public and my friends tell me it still says he's single and still has my pictures up. Since I've ignored him, Thursday night he sends me another message asking if I knew anyone who cleans houses because he needs his cleaned. Super random and didn't really make any sense, but I just told him no and he proceeded to say Happy Thanksgiving, etc. So why does he first message me telling me he can't message me anymore, then proceed to message me a month later? I wouldn't care, but I guess I'm still not over him. He gave me the clear answer to move on because he did. But then he does this. |

I just feel horrible. I used to get on webcam and talk to people more often and that helped, but for some reason my computer blocks the site. UGHHHHHGHGHGHH!!!! I tried to talk to my parents but all they care about is my education. Im asking because it seems as if i get into this situation quite often where someone will do something to me that will offend me and im expected to just drop whatever it is that is bothering. But in return if i was to do what was done to me to the other person it wouldnt be acceptable. I noticed that im having this issue with certain people and its starting to eat me up inside bc i find myself turning cold bc of it. In the past i would have been considered a door mat! People did all kinds of ****** up **** to me and without any remorse! And i would grin abd bear it just for the sake of relationships, friendships, familyships and now im fed the **** up. Posted: 27 Nov 2016 12:12 PM PST I have a friend who's addicted to drugs and i want to help him but i don't really know how other then telling him to stop. We are both in 8th grade and two nights ago he told me he's gonna stop because he's been told by his doctors his liver is decaying. But last night he started smoking again and i asked hi about what he had said and how he said he was gonna stop, and he said "i can't leave being high" he wants to stop but he can't stop. The thing is i'm worried about him. He goes to a different school then me and he hangs out with drugies at school too. One of his good friends od'd last week and passed out and i'm worried that's gonna happen to my friend. He's a good friend and i'm glad he is my friend & i really care about him but i don't want him to die at 13 years old. Please help me. |
| Question: I Refuse to Live at Home? Posted: 27 Nov 2016 12:09 PM PST My parents get mad at me for picking at my skin. It is something I really cannot control. I have Excoriation Disorder, and I enjoy picking my skin. They get mad whenever I do, but I seriously can't stop. They think it's just a habit and don't realize it's a real problem. I want to be homeschooled. I cannot handle the emotional stress from being at school. I hate being there, with kids I hate, who hate me. I don't have friends at school. My only friends are online. My parents are upset that my only friends are older and are online. "They're too old for you," they say. It doesn't matter to us what our ages are. We are friends and enjoy each other's company, and that's what matters. There is a reason that I don't have friends in school. I don't get along with them. I get along with people online, so that's who I'm friends with. My mom gets upset over clutter, and my lack of motivation. I have serious memory problems recently and forget stuff like no one's business. She doesn't understand how horrible constant nagging is. She annoys me with other stuff, too. She just nags and doesn't understand my problems. She's a hypocrite. I haven't told my parents I've loved them since I was eight or nine because that's when I realized I didn't love them. I don't enjoy their company, and I don't enjoy being around them. I have a friend who said I could live with him, but my parents would never let me. I deserve to decide how I get educated, and where I get to live. I Refuse to Live at Home. What Should I Do? |

We talked for two years and one of them I know for five years. The reason I want to break that up is because of mostly myself. They are good people, but I don't feel a connection with them and I feel like our friendship is blocking me from developing as a person. A group of us students like to get together in the evening and do our home work. When we started this we would rotate whose house we went to do the homework. Now the guys want to come to my house to do the home work all the time. I thought that was probably because if we have a problem we can not solve, the guys ask my mom for help and she always has the answer or maybe because when our homework is done, mom give the guys homemade pie and ice cream, cake, or cookies. I was curious so I ask the guys why they always wanted to do our homework at my house. What they told me just blew me away. They said it was because my mom was so nice, so beautiful, so hot and so sexy they wanted to be around her. It is true mom is VERY BEAUTIFUL but she is not hot and sexy. She has a great figure but she NEVER shows any cleavage or wears tight sweaters. How should I feel about what these guys are thinking about my mom? Are all guys this way? |

I used to be "queen bee" in elementary school with them. But now they kind of are we just randomly stopped talking. In my dream she said "Hey "name"!!!" And her friend was just standing smiling saying "we found you!!" And "how are you?" And I answers awkwardly like I would in real life "heyyy! Um.. yeah I guess I'm good ummmmm how are you?" Eventually, things got to the point where they would argue over who I should hang out with. After a series of events, I ended up being majorly Ava's friend and I didn't t help the sibling rivalry. We lost contact when they moved away and a couple years ago we found eachother on facebook. We (Eva and Ava) still talk but Eva and I are not as close as I would like to be and I don t know if that s because we ve grown into different people or because of past issues. Ava are not as close either but I know that s because she s so busy which is great for her. So, should I apologize to Eva or let sleeping dogs lie? I don t want to bring it up if it s not going to help the situation. I ve been wanting to apologize but I just don't want to make anything even more awkward. |
| Question: Should I ask her out? Posted: 27 Nov 2016 09:35 AM PST Sorry this may or me not be a long story I don t know yet. So I m 15 and she s 14, we re both freshman. We started texting back in December of last year and we really hit it off. (Almost) Everyday we got back from school we d text non-stop until midnight sending hearts to each other and saying goodnight. (I don t think there was any love connection at this time since we never once gave the hint that we liked each other besides the heart). Problem was we never really had any classes in school so all we did was text. This made our "friendship" a lot weaker than it would have been if we actually did talk. So at this time it may seem simple, we were obviously good friends and there was nothing standing between me and her.But that s where I was wrong. There was actually two guys that posed a threat with me asking her out. One of them is my best friend who started texting her right after I did (Do I know why? No.) and there was also this other guy that she used to have a thing with that she had a hate/love friendship with at the time. Thing with this second guy was that his family and her family were best friends so they saw each other all the time. As we reached the end of the school year my friendship with her and the 1st guys started to decline. She texted us both less and less and started to text the second guy more. It came to the point that we didn t even text anymore. I admit, I did like her at several points throughout our friendship but never actuallygot the guts to telher So we started texting again when the school year started and what do you know, we actually had classes together. Now this guy is still in the way because he likes her more than ever and she "slightly" likes him. I'm in love with her more than I've ever been and I'm so confused why she chose him over that short period of time. I'll admit, I'm not the most attractive person either but we were still amazing friends and sometimes even more. I'm pretty sure i should wait but i want advice. |

Posted: 27 Nov 2016 09:01 AM PST my friend would go weeks without talking to me and when he needs something he texts me, and as soon as i recieve his text i know for sure its going to be a request.. like today he didn't talk to m for a while and then sends me a message asking how i'm doing then asking me for a favor i understand that it is part of friendships to ask when you need something, but to never ask how i'm doing... he even would ignore my texts an only answers them when he is going to be asking me for something |
