I've been trying so hard to be a better person, but some people don't seem to notice. They look at me like I'm still 13 years old, like I'm still the same person I used to be. And I absolutely hate when my friends and family keep bringing up stuff I did when I was younger. I don't know, what should I do about it. ? |

I don't really like hanging out with people because I fear messing up or doing something that will embarrass me which happens a lot when I say something trying to start a conversation or joking. It makes me feel bad when people have to tell me I'm doing too much or doing something weird and it just makes me feel better to be alone; when your alone u can't screw up. I've been trying to change for a while now. Getting a car, switching part time jobs and graduating colllege in two weeks but I still feel like the odd one out. I'm still a virgin at 23, no boyfriend, not the best looking person, but I'm trying to be successful. This whole post comes after I was sitting in the den with my uncle watching the football game and I mentioned one of the family is a referee, to which he laughed and told me it was no big deal and I get excited over stuff that's just life and I do it a lot. Needless to say I'm getting my stuff now to go home so I don't screw up again. This isn't a way to live, fearing being around people but being lonely. The rest of my family is happy, they didn't go to college, I did, they had sex and kids by my age, I don't. I constantly remember the bad things people have said to me, and it's a lot and it keeps happening, so obviously I'm the problem. Every time I mess up I get upset, the tiniest thing making me want to be alone because that's where I'm best at. |

She called weeks ago saying sorry for not being on social media as much and that she's been overwhelmed and stressed. But Recently she's gotten very quiet, she always blowing up my notifications with "likes" on my posts but she hasn't been talking to me as much. I sent her a Thanksgiving message thanking her for helping me all the time and how thankful I was for her being a friend etc. I wasn't expecting a huge response but all she put was "Happy Thanksgiving also" Do you think I've annoyed her? I wanted to send a Christmas gift hoping it would lift her spirits but If I am annoying her I don't want to send it and be more of a bother. What do you think is up? Like I can't tell if we're distancing or just become very busy. I would ask but if I am annoying her, then that would just be more annoying. |

Now, I admit I found her attractive but I ignored her as I had a bad experience at a previous workplace. So I ignored it. Eventually she stopped staring at me and staying late, and she took up with a boyfriend. We started talking and the worst thing happened- I found myself liking her more and more. She has a Fine Arts Degree and is a bit of a nerd (like me) as well as being very feminine and attractive, bubbly and positive. I really enjoy every time we talk. Funny thing is when we chat we get on well but somehow we're cagey with each other. She ignored me and was hostile for an entire week before abruptly being warm now she's reserved again. But we pass glances. Still, I know I could only ever be second best to someone her own age. I know this is wrong and it could never happen between work and age but I just feel she is the most likable girl I've met in years. I'm flattered but looking at her reminds me that, as a middle aged bachelor, she represents something I could never hope to have. Her being there plays on my mind yet I dread the thought of her leaving. I feel like a sad fool and am terrified of being seen as an office 'creeper' although I make a point of never doing anything to make her uncomfortable as to her this is a career. So I get there and I see another girls blue SUV parked in his friends driveway parked behind my bfs truck and I went to the garage to get in and he and this girl idk who she was were hanging out together in the garage and having a alcoholic root beer drink together. my BF told me to leave and stay the night at a motel and pushed me out of the garage and closed the garage door. He told me he wasn't cheating and THT she was just there for one night and he helped her bc her SUV needed to be jump started and was stopped on the side of the road. why would he let her stay but not me when I'm his gf and she isn't? I was recently have a conversation with my cousin about her relationship problems and when she said ''I just feel like I'm falling for guys too fast", because she had had like 15 guys this year, I said this (as a joke) "Just be like me because no guy wants to date me (fake cry)", she basically just said after that "You would get more guys if you weren't so boring"...well dang...and she wasn't kidding either. I would invite some of them over but my house is always messy because I have 7 people in my family and that would only embarrass me. The school i go to has a lot of rich kids, and its not like i'm poor, but being in a family of 7 means we don't have extra money for cool things to buy or do. They are also always on social media and stuff and i don't even know how that stuff works.
