Now I'm by no means a dummy I still attend college and do have my jounreymans plumbing licenlicense I wish to go to Tennessee and start my own business however it's very hard under my circumstances and my mother constantly telling me I can't do it because it goes against her self interest she wants me to move West of my state to a area that I KNOW I wouldn't be able to find work she's even offering to pay me 40 hours as long as I'm trying to find work shell even let me take a brand new work truck which cost 800 a month in financial fees. However she would not help with a dime if I move to a different state I think this is because my sister moved West of my state and shes stuck and regrets it with her new husband's and my mom wants someone to be there for her. The thing is she tells my wife absolute bs, she's printed out things like business, health and car insurance quotes she got from her "friend" that are clearly way off, I got the true prices which are doable however health insurance is a issue bexuase my wife is pregnant so it's a little pricey. Without a job money is super-tight so I'm a little limited in what I can do to get out to meet new people too. As said voluntary work hasn't been an option, I've tried part-time college courses too, so far nothings worked. I literally have no friends and I'm very socially isolated, which is causing depression, not sure what to do. |

Posted: 15 Nov 2016 02:37 PM PST I am in a French class with my friends and our teacher is super awesome and she lets us play Word Relays for candy, a Word Relay is when you take a French verb and the first person tranlates the word then writes 1 conjugation, pass it to the person next to you, once all 6 conjugations are written you pass it back. Anyway we were having a little trouble because it was this word we never heard and the kid (who thinks he's a genius) writes it down in like half a second, as everyone else is writing he goes COME ON YOU IDIOTS!!! Super super loud. I write my conjugation down and pass it to my friend and she writes it down in pen because that's all she had handy, then he goes "YOU IMBECILE (He literally said that) USE A PENCIL!!!!" we lost the first round and he got incredibly angry and started yelling at us and the teacher quiets him down saying if she gets through all the verbs we were studying everyone gets candy and that shut him up. We did the next round and I let my friend borrow the pencil and we got everything right that round. Our teacher announced us the winner of that round and the kid gets up and starts making this horrific screeching noises getting in everyone's faces screaming and pounding his chest. The teacher once again calmed him down, at the end we didn't win so we got got 1 piece of candy which everyone was fine with except the kid went on the floor and he started sitting criss cross on the floor and started WAILING! Why is he so rude? |

We didn't have that many things in common (our hobbies and activities like hiking and travelling) other than memes and this game called Fire Emblem. Keep in mind that I don't really have the ability to form emotional connections cuz of my childhood and I'm terrified at the thought of people knowing about me and my thoughts. Because of this I never really opened up to her and told her about my past or what's on my mind. And usually, I'm the one who invites her to go places and to go out, but she's usually such a stickler who wants to stay home and watch netflix (the complete opposite of me). For the first time in two years, she invited me to this lake cabin with her family. I had to decline because I have a job and I've already requested time off too much, but she doesn't have a job and I don't think she understands how an actual job works. And now she sent me a long *** text about how mad she is at me and how much I've changed (cuz I started going to a different school this year) and how she hates how I smoke weed (like what do you expect I go to highschool and college and live in Seattle...?? I can host events that draw a significant number of people and feel others respect and trust my choices. I thought that doing this would put me into contact with people who, if I saw them often enough, might eventually become friends. This hasn't happened. People come to my events and seem to take advantage of the generosity of the option but don't seem to reciprocate invitations or seem interested in deeper connections. I am mistakenly assuming friendship pre-maturely on a number of occasions. How can I bridge this gap and encourage friendships to build out of this? |

So all my fellow first years from last year are now second years whilst I'm now all means and purposes a first year student, having classes/lectures with the new first years. Normally when I see people I knew from first year I say hi to them and it's all very normal, but there's this one girl from one of my classes (it was a small class of 4 people meeting every week so I don't think she could have forgotten me) who ignores my existence. I've seen her walking around campus a few times and I've always looked in her direction and smiled but she's refused to make eye contact with me every time. Today there was specifically an incident where she was standing a few metres away from me and I was looking in her direction. She however was pretty much looking every direction that wasn't at me! I've thought about approaching her and actually saying hi, but it would be so awkward to do so if she really doesn't remember me, although I can't see how that's possible!!! Some additional information is that I had a small crush on her last year and asked her out, she turned me down and that was that. We got over that and our relationship was normal from that point on until the end of the year. What do you think? Do you think it's because I've essentially been held back a year that she thinks I'm some kind of bad influence maybe and so she's avoiding me for that reason? |

She has always been a nobody but has been known for sleeping around with a lot of people. One day she realized she was pregnant. She had no idea who the father was but the stress must've been killing her or something but she claimed it was my popular friend. Rumors quickly spread and everyone seemed to believe the girl. He soon went from being at the top of everything to having the most deprived character and it was sad because he wasn't a cocky guy either. He told everyone she was crazy but nobody seeemed to believe him. He told his closest friends like myself that he had never even talked to her (there was actually no messages between the two ever found). Anyways she made him get a paternity test which brought him to the lowest of low I've never seen someone so upset. The results eventually came back as negative but he never rejoiced. He felt like his character was deprived forever and to this day is not the same and is not known as the same by others. Should women like this face some sort of charge? She called to check up @ Of course she asked how I was, if I was okay etc.. then she started skipping around subjects talking about her family, troubles, problems occurring, stories of when she was little, about how she misses her parents etc. her procedure. it was a great long talk, I listened and gave her all my attention. I understand people need to vent or need advice but why come to me? That day I sent her flowers to show my love and support. It's been stressing me seeing her go through so much, I want her to be alright and have great health. She's always so supportive to me. We both always send encouraging texts, she's always liking all of my social media posts, we send inspirational stuff to each other, etc.. We're very close. She's a very blunt lady and will tell you like it is. She's always giving me compliments, telling me how amazing I am, so I take it to heart. But she's never really said if I've helped her. I do all things with love and expect nothing in return but I wish I knew if I was a help to her or if I am doing something good. Sometimes I feel useless like I've done nothing good for her. It was also the day of the funeral. He decided to go to the funeral instead of being with his family and celebrating with his sister. She is pretty upset right now but I don't know how to comfort her. Did her brother do right or what????? |

| Question: Why is he giving me space? Posted: 15 Nov 2016 10:18 AM PST My guy friend and i had a fight because I told him that he was being really sweet and I couldn't accept it. I told him that he's so sweet and educated and told him to be nice to other girls, but then he said he likes being nice to me and being around me. It made me smile, but I hung up and began to cry. I didn't respond to any of his messages and calls. I saw him later at work and in class, but he completely ignored me. He looks sad, with his eyes being droopy. He used to be so nice to me. You have no idea. He bought me medicine when I couldn't even afford it. He went to my apartment to check up on me, because I was feeling depressed. Now he just stopped, but I miss him. |

| Posted: 15 Nov 2016 09:56 AM PST on and off, tried to hide it but couldn't help it we obviously liked each other. Over time his sister and I became best friends then I started to notice this certain jealousy. They went through a tragic death of their dad when she was 15 and he was 18 with an unstable mother so obviously they've been through A LOT and deserve to be very very close with each other. Everywhere we go people think they are dating, Many mutual friends think that something weird is going on between them...they touch each other in weird ways, always live together or get a house together and share everything, meals house friends clothes, it's like they're the same person and all each other really care about. I counted one day they called each other 32 times....they call each other at least 10 times a day even when they're both at home... I brought up the fact that now my boyfriend is 23 and his sister won't let me stay at THEIR house and has a rule I can't be there....he kicks me out whenever she's home but as soon as she leaves he begs me to come stay with him. I told him we should just get our own place and he agreed but now he's sending his sister to put her name on the lease and I'm afraid that nothing will change and he will always only want his sister to be the only chick in his life. Ps: I am the 3rd long term girlfriend she has driven away while I've known them. Shes been making things up to drive him away and acting like a jealous 3 year old now she's not even my friend anymore HELP!!! :( |

I'm sitting in study hall and she texted me "I'm gonna give you a letter at lunch. Please don't be mad" followed up with "rip it up after you read it so no one accidentally finds it if you loose it" The last 2 weeks she stopped sitting with me at lunch and has been talking to me less and less Can someone help me make sense of this situation?? |

| Question: Teammate just started being a jerk? Posted: 15 Nov 2016 09:22 AM PST So I am in college and on the swim team there. As a freshman, I am required to live in the dorms. Another important note here, I do not have a car because my family only has one and they need it at home. Luckily, I live with my teammates. I think of myself as a person who always puts others before himself, and as such I never ask anyone to go out of their way to drive me anywhere. I only go to the store, restaurants, etc. when they do so that I am not making anyone do any extra work. So the way swim team works in college is that each group (sprint, distance, etc.) practices at a different time. It just so happens that all my roommates are in the same group except me, and they finish workout 2 hours before I do. This means the dining hall on campus is closed when I get out. Basically we had all agreed that everyone plus one teammate who walked on late from another room would all get food together after our practices. (they are different times and the dining hall is closed after mine) However about a week ago, they all started going out without me. Last night, after this happened for the 8th time in a row, I asked the teammate from the other room why the plan fell apart, and he went off on me saying I "need to learn to take care of myself," he's "tired of babysitting me," and even threatened to punch me. I didn't do anything to him and I haven't requested anything unreasonable of anybody. What can I do to be sure I'm still able to maintain my relationship with my teammates? |

So i started talking to her and she told me that all our classmates tease her because she likes a teacher ( let's call her Ms.G). So all the other kids say that she is gay and bully her no one talks to her because all she talks about is how sweet, kind, loving and beautiful is Ms G... She goes to meet that teacher EVERY SINGLE DAY after school and a few days back we were having some practices so she couldn't go and she was literally crying... I mean okay she can like the teacher but this is a little too much. She is obsessed with her! And a few days back she told me it was her " dream to get a kiss from that teacher " and after saying this she said don't you think i am a lesbian... And I didn't even say anything like that... We're in 8th grade btw |
| Question: What if my friend’s friend has my address but I always wanted it to be private? Posted: 15 Nov 2016 08:46 AM PST I had no choice but to give my friend's friend my address because she was driving my friend to my place since my friend doesn't drive and needed to know where I lived so he could GPS it and get directions of how to get to my place. I am a private person and I am weary of giving people my address. However, I realized my friend's friend is a stalker and is insane where he sometimes goes to people's homes and waits for the person to come out so he could bother them. He even said to me: "I know where you live and I already have your address so there is no being private anymore." He wasn't joking either. What should I do if someone already has my address saved in their phone and could come to my place any time to bother me or stalk me? Should I be worried? What should I do? There is no avoiding giving someone my address of whoever needs to know it. I gave it to my friend and her friend that was driving had to put it in his GPS system too and saved it. Is this weird behavior and how should I deal with this privacy issue? |

But, I miss this person and I feel regret for what I did. I tried to reconnect this friend again. But, this friend blocked me. I feel sad again, not because I was blocked. Posted: 15 Nov 2016 08:03 AM PST So there are a few things this sister did, 1. lied during a sisters rape investigation. originally told the sister she would be a witness and say how the guy didn t seem that drunk, but sister did and could testify that the sister had no recalculation of that night and even encouraged the sister to go to campus police, then during the hearing they had a falling out and lied about the above and changed the story to seem like defendant was innocent 2. is HR (head resident of sorority house) and started treating a sister like ****, and turned the house against the one sister because a guy liked the other sister over her. and the job of HR is to keep peace and is to solve problems (not create them) 3. talks **** about every sister behind their back and if she doesn t like a sister, she ll try to get people against that sister |
| Posted: 15 Nov 2016 07:52 AM PST We are performing a song in science,and you do it in groups of four, I went to my friend and we found another 2 people, but suddenly she said she doesn't want to perform today,she wants to perform tomorrow to wait for her absent friend to come back. But the teacher didn't guarantee us that we can do it tomorrow. Should I wait for her or just find another group? |

She's been my friend for about 2 years now and we've talked pretty much everyday, but recently I've been starting to get fed up with her. She always says "you've never seen a pair of t****** have you ha!". Then I'm like "ummm no....". Then whenever I try to leave the conversation she gets angry and tells me not to leave... I was thinking it's her way of making her feel good about herself maybe? Because I'm in college about to graduate and she can't get into a college and she's always stressing out about finding jobs. But one thing is pretty common among those who say it's impossible (mostly men), they say that one of them will start feeling attracted to the other. By their logic, if a man has 5 female friends, he could develop feelings for all of them, but that isn't really love, is it? Could they be mistaking lust for love? |
