No, im not really an awkward person, and i try to be as nice as possible. Actually. i am probably too nice to people most of the time. Anyways. My point here is that lately my "friends" havent been inviting me places like they used to. For example. i texted my friend today saying " Hey are you busy tonight? Im stuck at home, its okay if i cant come but just answer when you can. " and she says " okay ill tell you when we leave " but she never tells me anything, and i wind up seeing on social media a ton of pics of her at that place, without me. Heres one other quick story. I ask my friend to come with me to a place, and she says she cant. but i see later on social media shes there with everyone but me. I dont know what to do to be honest, i thought they were my only real friends but lately ive been questioning it. Since then, he said it has ruined his life as he still has nightmares over what happened and he essentially has no friends other than me. As far as I know I am the only one he has ever told about this. He is also just starting counseling after I told him he really needs to. This week he has an appointment to talk to a therapist and he invited me to come. He says the reason is that he is scarred that they may hurt him and he wants someone there that he can trust. I really do not want to go as this has been too much for me to hear from him. Should I go though? |

In 6th grade she started to ignore me for random reasons & ignore me. I tried to be there for her (she said she was depressed) but she just pushed me away. She ended up bad-talking me to my other friends at the time. In 7th grade on a social media thing, she constantly bullied me on it. Last summer, she sent me a long text saying I had backstabbed her, etc etc (which I hadn't). I was really nervous and scared because at that point I hadn't talked to her in over a year. She recently started to follow me on insta... I had no idea at first. Where I live, everyone is at different highschools so on insta you list your hs and then you just follow people, etc etc... (it's not "weird" it just helps us all stay in contact/meet new people, etc). I didn't recognize the school she listed at first, but I googled it and I'm certain its her. I'm really scared, especially because I feel like she's somewhat obsessed with me... I mean... she was a complete jerk/bully to me in 6 & 7 grade, I totally quit talking to her mid-7th grade & all of 8th grade, but then right as I get into high school she texts me this whole rant? Now she's following me on instagram? I know she had to really search me out to find my instagram because I don't have a lot of followers (just made my account). I'm really concerned.... any advice on how I should handle this? This situation is delicate b/c she knows people here where I live (she moved) This is kind of a repost because nobody answered... Posted: 26 Nov 2016 01:51 PM PST I recently found out my 14 year old daughter hangs out with a 19 year old from a local college that's 5 minutes away from her high school by bus. We don't have the same laws as US citizens and here in Canada any individual 19 or older can legally buy drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. The thing is that some Canadian schools send kids to high school as early as 6th or 7th grade so they have more freedom during free time. I can imagine some bad things they could be doing during lunch time when my daughter is allowed to go out then. I haven't met her but my kid just told me about her yesterday. |

In my music lesson last week, we didn't have a 1 girl in our group because she was at a netball tournament so we were down to 3 or 4 people in our group. And we and to practise our drum songs that we learnt last week and we couldn't remember ours so we had to make a new one up. We had trouble doing it and I then had to go to the toilet and whilst I was gone the others added something new to it which I didn't know about. When we performed it wasn't good at all but we had tried our best and then he said how that wasn't good enough and just because we are down a player doesn't mean that we can perform like that. I'm new to secondary school so we now get detentions. We didn't get one but i have to go to his lesson on Tuesday (it's Saturday night) We might doing the same thing and I don't want to get in trouble again 😣 |

I love living in the city and I definitely take full advantage of city life. I always used to have a good social life as I went to a tiny high school with only 200 students where we just all became friends. We would go out on the weekends and just talk during the week. I never really had to learn how to make friends, as an adult at least. Now although I am class representative for my small university class and interact a lot during the week, I have absolutely no social life outside of that and am starting to turn into a total loner who does everything by himself. I pretend towards my parents that my social life is better as I just feel too ashamed to tell them what it really looks like, as this is not who I am. I love people. At the start of the university year people invited me to things but I always had to work and used to live in a bad neighbourhoud which stopped me going out at night. Now they only talk amongst themselves about social activities and I have become the guy they talk to during the week about the not fun stuff such as exams or university calendars... Has anybody else been stuck in this situation and got out? I just can't imagine being 25 and still living like this. And how do I make friends as an adult? With people that I already know? |

SHIIT. so help me, do I have anything to worry about, is it all just in my mind? and how can I feel better about it? please help me |

She refused to stay at my house. Only took me around her family. She was never willing to meet mine. Then there were our beliefs and our personalities. Where I was shy and I only talked to people I was familiar with, she was outgoing and didn't care what people thought. Where I believed that interracial relationships were okay, she wasn't so open-minded. In fact, she wasn't open-minded at all. Constantly judging and 'playfully' insulting me on basically everything that I did. That's where our problems started. Flash forward. I make another close friend. One who isn't so critical. She stays at my house. I stay at hers. And so on. My "bestfriend" can't stand it. Not too long ago though, she started messing around with a teacher at our school. We got into a huge fight over it. And we stopped talking for a couple months During these months, I was angry and I spilled the beans about the teacher to my other close friend, who, might I mention, lives in a different town. I knew it wasn't right. But I honestly didn't give a single sh*t. On the DAY that we finally started talking again, she found out. There was a whole crapload of drama. A couple people got involved. My "bff" told me that she felt betrayed and asked me why I would do that to her and yeah. But I genuinely don't care. And I'm just wondering if I should. |

When summer ended we went back to school (we're in the same school) and I was lonely the first few weeks Because I was depressed and I couldn't talk to anyone. *On the 12th week of school* I miss Mira so much but I hate Lara so bad and I know that Mira won't leave Lara I texted Mira asking her if she misses me she said MORE THAN ANYTHING and she misses me so bad. I brought it up in a nice way told her I didn't wanna fight but she went off on me and said some really mean things. she ended up apologizing but everyday after that didn't wanna talk to me and replied w one word answers, ignored me, etc. one day she wouldn't answer and I kept asking her what I did& that it is only fair that she tell me so I don't sit here all night wondering what I did. she finally replied and said she was done with me and didn't wanna talk to me and that she was "tired of fighting all the time" , even though we never got into any huge fights like this only little arguments that would last an hour tops. I tried to fix it but she got more pissed I said some mean things out of anger and she blocked me. I had my other friend text her but only made things worse again. her other bff called me & said to just leave it bc I'm only making it worse& that she won't be mad forever. the last time I tried talking to her was 2weeks ago, how long should I wait before trying to say sorry again w out making things worse so we can be on good terms? |

AT ALL!! like i can t remember the last time i was allowed to hang out with one of my friends.. every time i ask them about hanging out with a friend they say, "i don t know them that well" or "you ll get in trouble." For instance, last weekend my YOUTH GROUP my CHURCH YOUTH GROUP were going to the movies, so i asked if i could go & they kept saying yes & then last minute they flaked on me and said, "i don t trust youth groups, you can t go." They got me so excited, i really thought i was able to go, in fact i had told all my friends & then they just changed their minds 5 mins before i was about to head out the door.. They also don t do anything with me.. Like it s thanksgiving break, and i have not even left the house. I wasn t allowed to see my family this year because apparently i m "not allowed" to talk to them? It s depressing because i m forced to see all of these people having a fun time, getting new things, going places over break &i just being happy when i can t and never have had that for myself.. I really wanted to go black friday shopping since i ve never been, but of course, it s "dangerous" so i couldn t go... YET MY DAD WENT SHOPPING WITH MY OLDER BROTHER BUT I WASNT INVITED! i ve never even left my own state before.. barely left my county.. i m falling in a state of depression due to this and i don t know what to do |

They also would make fun of my hair because it looked different from theirs & told me I needed a perm. At first, I felt that the reason why I don't have many friends now was because I wasn't being myself by acting desperate for friends, but I really think women can't stand my guts. I can try to greet them and they would just ignore me or would pretend to be interested in a conversation with me. Some would say I was their friend, and then stop talking to me out of nowhere and delete me off of social media. Other girls would end up hating & backstabbing me out of nowhere. I also find it annoying how only middle-aged men are interested in being friends with me. I need to bond well with my own gender because I don't feel like I have much in common with middle aged men. I feel like I'm too young for them. |

Posted: 26 Nov 2016 06:59 AM PST I'm currently 1/3 through my 3rd year of the Irish equivalent of high school (freshman year) and recently I've started to feel really unhappy with my group of friends, because they're all rather quite and clingy. I'm friendly with at least one person per "group" in my year, so transitioning into a different one wouldn't be impossible, but I have a few qualms about leaving them; 1.I struggle with severe anxiety problems and they're always there to support me and never look down their noses at me. 2.Because of the anxiety, the thought of moving groups entirely makes me extremely nervous, because I won't know how things are going to fare out until I've left the group and can't go back. Also, next year I have the option of progressing into 5th year (Junior Year), whilst all my "group" are doing Transition Year (Sophomore Year). Should I stay in the group, leave or wait 'til next year to leave? |

| Question: Please help I need advice on a argument? Posted: 26 Nov 2016 06:31 AM PST I moved schools a year ago, and I still keep in contact with my old friends and meet up. During that year a new girl joined my old school and became friends with my old friends. I wasn t very keen on her as she created a lot of drama all ready within the group they ve spilt into two because half of my friends didn t like her. Anyway, she arranged for all of them to go out. My friend who was chatting to me a week ago told me about it, we haven t always gotten on as she created drama between me and best friend. Anyway I said I d like to go but she later went on to say I couldn t go to the rest of my friends. They told me yesterday why couldn t I come and I said I could go? But my ex friend had told them all I couldn t. Obviously I confronted her and asked her why d she do that. And she said because she could only ask three friends when I know there are 7 of them going. We both argued no one was innocent I admit I may of gotten too mad. I felt bad and tried to apologise and sent her numerous text asking for her to forgive me (I now realise how naive I sounded). She said she never wants to talk to me again. Then I got a text from the new girl asking why i was sad and I said I didn t want to talk about it and she was quite rude. Then they both got their guy friend to text me and he said quite horrible things to me and I said that I m sorry and he kept being horrible. I don t know what to do? Should I try and sort it out or move on? Please help I am quite upset by it x |

Posted: 26 Nov 2016 06:08 AM PST We've been friends althroughout high school (But we didn't talk for a year for this exact same reason). We always seem to connect & relate to each other so well. I always try to make sure she's happy & im one of the few friends she has that will talk to her about her problems & encourage her. But even though I do all these things for her she seems to enjoy making me jealous. For example she'll try to rub her other friends in my face & "accidentally" send texts to me that was meant for her other friend (Very immature). Then on some occasions she'll get angry at me for the smallest things out of nowhere. But when I'm angry over something that's pretty logical, she acts like I have no right to be mad. It seems like only SHE can be angry with me, 'not the other way around. I value our relationship, but I am DONE playing these immature games with her. I thought we were going to be chill this year because graduation is around the corner, but this girl just enjoys putting me down for no reason. How do you deal with jealous people? Just ignoring her doesn't help. What will? |

Since I did not get out of my car and I came right back home I drove barefoot and did not bring my shoes. I hate wearing shoes and I only wear them if I have to and I did not need shoes for a 30 minute drive since I did not go in anyplace. |

She has helped me so much through my problems and is always calling to check on me or send messages (vise versa). She called weeks ago saying sorry for not being on social media as much and that she's been overwhelmed and stressed. But Recently she's gotten very quiet, she always blowing up my notifications with "likes" on my posts but she hasn't been talking to me as much. I sent her a Thanksgiving message thanking her for helping me all the time and how thankful I was for her being a friend etc. I wasn't expecting a huge response but all she put was "Happy Thanksgiving also" Do you think I've annoyed her? I wanted to send a Christmas gift hoping it would lift her spirits but If I am annoying her I don't want to send it and be more of a bother. What do you think is up? Like I can't tell if we're distancing or just become very busy. I would ask but if I am annoying her, then that would just be more annoying. |

Actually i dont talk to them and i blocked them on fb and i had private insta and one of them sent me a direct msg , she said unblock me on fb and i refused that it was me i said this account doesnt belong anymore to me and i introduced me as another girl and she didnt believe me she said i know it is u unblock me on fb why did u block me and i said it was not me and today i was out and went to home and on the street i meet them and they were giggling and that ***** who sent me the direct msg she said hi whats up and i said nothing i go home and she had sarcastic smile 😒 I rly dont know how to get rid of them they are always gossiping me and my life and they are insulting me like all the time behind my back and i just dont wanna be friends anymore with these people they are horrible everytime im walking to home im paranoic what if i meet them what will happen and idk what to do:S the worst is that they are my neighbours:S help idk what to do i want they to stop talking about me because i rly hate them.. idk what to do to distance them from me:S give me some advice:S thanks |

Posted: 26 Nov 2016 03:32 AM PST I find it very hard to talk about myself which is quite the opposite of my friends who can babble on for hours about themselves. We had a friendships and communication talk at school recently and the speaker asked us to name a couple of interesting things about our friends and they couldn't say anything about me but I could name more than ten for each of them. They don't know I'm a gamer, or I won a national award for something, or I like a certain boy, or I have depression and insomnia, or that I was (and still am) a child genius but I can tell you exactly who ate what at which month, day and time while wearing what and sitting what and how they felt eating it. Back to my question, they just attacked me with a wave of curiosity and I'm just now learning how to open up to a psychologist, how do I even talk to them about me? Where do I start? Should I tell them or will they tell everyone about my sh!t then have my stuff being tossed around school? How much can I trust someone really? I'm 16F, btw and these are my first set of three best friends, we've known each other for about 3-4 yrs now. |
