Question: Thoughts on visiting one of my friends during quarantine? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 05:46 PM PDT Just one friend, he invited me over his house but both of us feel like it might be too risky right now. Meanwhile, my roommate is out at his girlfriend s house and they have at least 5-6 people there. Theyre social distancing, but still... |

Question: Rude customers in grocery stores? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 05:09 PM PDT My friend sent a group message me and another friend of ours and apparently shes mad that people are treating her brother bad at the moment (she said hes been dealing with rude customers he works at a grocery store) Is there anything she can do about this? Shes asking for advice on what she can do but I am not sure how to reply to her. Thank you for any advice. I understand why shes upset (she doesnt live here she moved like 2 years ago to a different state but her mom and brother still live here) This grocery store is in NYC if that helps. Can she do anything about this? Yeah probably but according to an update she wrote us apparently her brother is fuming and not very happy at the moment and has to cool down. Probably a bad day at work im guessing. |
Question: Will this couple last? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 05:04 PM PDT My friend is in a relationship with a girl. Her and the girl been friends for about 3 years. Throughout their friendship, they have argued alot physically fought and still stayed as friends Their has been times were i was out with them in public, and theyd argue for hours, ruining the plans we had. Fast forward a year later. They got an apartment together. Their apartment has damage all around if from fights and things being thrown My friends car has a dent on the side from it being kicked, and her partner hopped on the front of her car and cracked her windshield as well There has been times were i came over to their house in the midst of a fight, then they spent 6 hours arguing about the same thing its to the point that they cant hang out with other people because they always have an issue. last year the broke up for a few days. throughout those days my friend was crying a lot, saying she doesnt want to live without her partner and if they get back together things will change. I stayed to comfort my friend So they decided they love eachother but the relationship isnt healthy and someone will get hurt real bad. A few days later they went back to normal my friends partner came back, and BOOM another fight this time the cops came because the neighbors complained. Of course, they got back together The same things keep happening and my friend keeps going back I care for my friend more than ANYTHING in this world. But IDK what to do in this sitaution because she keeps going back |
Question: What am I going to do with my friends? ? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 01:54 PM PDT So baisicly. One of my friends (male, we can call him ben) talked about how he thinks all our female friends hate him and especially this one girl (he was joking, we usually don't take him seriously) , let's call her Nellie. "Nellie" is a longtime friend of mine, but another friend (call her Riley) took what Ben said a little to seriously and she said "yeah, I hate Nellie aswell". Nellie found out she said this and is very angry. I feel as if Riley will turn this back to me and say I have said I hate Nellie before. I have had problems with Nellie in the past and I do not remember ever saying I hate her, but it may have slipped and anything like that I cannot remember. Nellie will give me **** if Riley does do this. I am an anxiety sufferer and get anxiety attacks. My anxiety is making me over think this. Any tips? What do I do if what I think happens? |
Question: How can I make friends? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 01:35 PM PDT Hello all! Before you try to answer my question, let me give you some background information :) I am currently 18. I used to have plenty of friends and I am a very social person. I have no problem trying to build relationships with people and in fact, I enjoy social interaction. I recently went through some tough times, and as a result I wanted to change my lifestyle for the better. This past year, I have been trying to be the best possible version of myself. For the first time in my teenage years, I have been truly happy and enjoying life. In the process of this, I discontinued my friendships with many people. The reason being is that these people were not very good friends, and did not encourage positive behavior. The saying "you are the company you keep" is true, and this was evident. Currently, I am now truly happy with my life. Everything is going absolutely wonderful for me except for the fact that I am very lonely. I have completely changed my life for the better, and now I am ready to make new and *good* friends; however, I am struggling. I am currently stuck in quarantine and who knows how long this will last. I tried making friends In my college classes but all my classes just require listening to the teacher the whole time. I have tried reaching out to some people after class but nobody seemed at all interested and more so had a "why are you talking to me" attitude. I have been friendless for a year now and I am lonely. All I want is to have somebody to talk to. |
Question: If you live alone, how do you not get miserable and lonely? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 01:33 PM PDT especially in these coronavirus times and this self isolation where you are restricted when you can go out and what you can do? and have to stay at home.. essential information about me in order to get better answers; i'm a man aged 42, ive had long term mental problems and had a hard life and ive never achieved any adult relationships and never had a female partner...the only support i have are my elderly mum and dad who are divorced, who both live far away...............i have lived by myself in a council flat for 15 years now....i live an isolated/lonely existence. so, what do i do in this time in forced isolation, when i live alone, get lonely and have no one but my distant elderly parents, who can no longer get up to see me due to the situation? |

Question: What’s wrong with my friend? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 09:28 AM PDT Recently My friend has been acting a little strange. Well it's happened for a while now but not to the scale it's on now. She's been bouncing around disappearing for maybe a day or two only to sometimes turn up in my kitchen making a fried egg sandwich. Then the next month she won't move out of bed for a long time. Then the whole cycle happens again. She's making dangerous choices and it makes me concerned. But she is my best friend so I'd like to help her through whatever she has going on with her right now. I'd like to add in that she recently found out that her mother would smoke an excessive amount of cigarettes and take a ton of medication. She told me about it but doesn't say how she feels about it. She's afraid of me leaving her to the point she'll give me chocolate and flowers every now and then. Sorry if this isn't the best writing. I'd just like to know what's wrong with my best friend. Thanks in advance. |
Question: Why do I keep dreaming about my ex best friend? ? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 08:50 AM PDT I don't want to get into the entire situation on why she's not my best friend anymore, but she was my "ride or die" since high school and we even walked together when we graduated. Then suddenly, she betrayed me and then ditched me after all of the things I did for her. I'm still mad and hurt over that situation and I hate her. If she tried to make things go back to the way they were again, it wouldn't happen because things couldn't be the same after what she did. I keep dreaming about her though and it's starting to kill my mood. In the dreams I have about her, she ends up talking to me again and I end up feeling happy because I wanted her to. Then we end up hanging out and talking again like we used to. I literally don't want anything to do with her at all and I don't want her to talk to me. I can forgive her eventually, but I couldn't ever trust her again. I know it's better for me and my happiness if she isn't in my life because she became toxic towards the end. She did try to get my attention like a few weeks ago, but I ignored her and pretended she didn't exist because I don't want any drama anymore. |

Question: My so called friends are starting to annoy me ? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 05:56 AM PDT So, to begin with, two friends always act like I am incompetent, and it's really starting to bug me. They act like I can't put a new shower curtain together, or blend fruit, ice, and yogurt in the blender. When they aren't there, I am always doing this myself with absolutely no problems. I have brought this up to them and they say I am not the smartest bulb out there, in the nicest way possible. I am the one with the four year degree, graduated in three years with being on the honor roll and Dean's List. Went to a private college and excelled there too. One friend couldn't even finish college and I had a better GPA than him, oh, and always had to stay in a mental hospital to get out of being an adult. And the other didn't even graduate college and but said he probably did better than me and was a B-average student. My junior year in high school, I was done with my credits and could have graduated, so I took AP courses and also did my first year of college in high school my senior year. I know smartness shouldn't define this situation, but I am a smart, independent woman. I know they are guys and maybe they think they are a superior over women, I don't know, but I know I can have better friends that won't drag me down and be like you can't do this, or you need this. Both I don't see living by themselves, as I am and financially supporting myself. Both have been dependent upon their parents. Ah, I just want them out of my life, but then they try to manipulate me over and over. |
Question: Why are the women around where I live physically violent? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 03:00 AM PDT Most of them talks in Ebonics around where I live. They tend to be very masculine and don't carry feminine traits, and most looks like lesbians. They seem to like bleaching their hair red and wearing hairstyles typically worn by Black women. They all would shake their finger and roll their head and say 'I come from a family that takes nothing off of nobody! Start s h I t with me get s h I t back!'If you confront them they would start trying to fight you physically. They seem to get more stupid when you report them as them and their friends and family are like a mini mafia gang and will come after you. |
Question: What would you call this guy? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 01:20 AM PDT A man born to Egyptian parents but they moved to England when they were in their 30s and he was conceived and born and raised in England. Is he A) British B) British-Egyptian C) Not British. He's Egyptian ****He's never been to Egypt |
Question: Do I have the right to feel betrayed? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 10:03 PM PDT My best friend since birth hooked up with my brother when she always swore she wouldn't. Do I have the right to feel betrayed? Because I do completely. |
Question: Why do people make fun of me by mimicking me? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 08:42 PM PDT I was with some friends the other day, I cleared my throat and another friend decides to mimick the same noise I made. I know for a fact he wasn't clearing his throat but making fun of me. This also happened to me growing up. People would mimick the way I chuckle. Is it because I am nice to people or something? |
