Question: Is it normal to take a vacation with male friends as a woman? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 05:07 PM PDT I don't have many close female friends. |
Question: What does "a surprise when the time is right" mean? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 04:40 PM PDT He said he will surprise me next month or early June "when the right time will comes". I think it will be a good surprise because he was in a good mood when he said that. Do you think he means engagement? I doubt it because he said before he will buy rings in July. |
Question: Should I leave my current friend group? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 04:33 PM PDT I have..some group of friends, They joke around a lot make memes, but will sometimes make fun of you because of the things you like because they find it weird cause its popular, some people seem to gang up on me if I have a different opinion and they think that i'm wrong and stuff. But they're really nice/sweet/ fun to be around...But lately I feel left out or felt like they were being toxic. Should I leave the friend group? |
Question: My roommate won't self-quarantine? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 04:28 PM PDT So the coronavirus outbreak is pretty bad where I live. I know people who have tested positive. We've been told to stay home and everything is closed. I've been self-quarentining for about a month. My roommate on the other hand goes out (to be outside, to visit friends, hang out with her boyfriend) every single day. She's had friends and other people over at our place a few times a week too. I wasn't too bothered at first but it kinda scares me a little. We share a space and it feels a little unfair that she isn't taking this seriously. My uncle tested positive for the virus and died, so it hits close. Can I say something ? And how do I bring it up without being confrontational? |
Question: Why did she drift apart??? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 04:11 PM PDT I was friends with this girl from work, we both worked across the hall from eachother. But we would talk all the time, i had feelings for her but she was married. She would stare at me like crazy but we never talked innapropriate to eachother. She told one of my close friends, that she is falling for me and that she cares for me. But she begged my friend to never tell me. She would always talk highly about me, and i made her blush later on some coworkers began talking bad about me and her, they kept reporting us to management saying that we're always flirting, and other people began making rumours. so later my manager told me to stop talking to my friend, so the drama could stop. she would still talk to me behind everyone's back because she missed my presence, But eventually I noticed she had become really weird with me, and was giving me the cold shoulder. she was still staring at me like crazy but, but would look down. one day for her birthday I gave her a gift card, but days later she gave the manager the gift card and told him that my presence was affecting her. my manager moved me from the floor far away from her, One week later she left work and took an entire year off, and she blocked me completely off Facebook. She came back to work early February after 1 year of being gone. She looks down when she sees me, and she avoids areas i go too. Why did she push me away this way?? She knew i respected her |
Question: Anyone ghosted colleagues since lockdown? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:53 PM PDT I work in a hair salon, a place full of backstabbing, gossip and rude people. Since lockdown, I have loved life again and realised that i.need a career change. I have however ghosted everyone at work, or given them polite excuses that I'm busy or rushed off my feet. Everyone else is chatting 3 times a week and the salon is having a weekly meeting. Has anyone else just not cared? |
Question: What's wrong with my friend ? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:43 PM PDT My friend just got a divorce from her husband of 7 years they have 4 young kids she's only 23. Since he came out to her as gay she's now a lesbian they just filed for divorce a couple days ago she's got a girlfriend already. I don't know if she's jealous of him or mad at him or what. What's going on with her ? |
Question: Why can’t I just be ? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:35 PM PDT Don't know why people always try to include me in their drama. I'm at work for one reason and that's to get paid. I don't care about who is screwing who, who doesn't get along. These people are just background noise during my work shift. Why can't I just do my job and go home. I never entertain their problems i just look and walk away. The more i do that the more people want me to care about their problems. Any one else relate or am I just an asshole ? |
Question: I seem to have everything in my life except family and friends PART 5 (please help me)? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:34 PM PDT I feel so alone especially if I don't get to talk to my boyfriend because I feel like he's all I have left and the money my mom left me. When he is unavailable due to work, I feel so sad. I don't get to experience going out in town because I feel everyone hates me. Ironically, when these coworkers have problems, they sometimes turn to me for help. 😒 Can you give me advice please? My mom was my only bestfriend and now she's gone. I feel I'm going to go crazy from loneliness. |
Question: I seem to have everything except family and friends PART 3 (please help me)? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:19 PM PDT There were shifts that I was the only one at work so I was the only one doing everything until I time out. My sadness turned to frustration at this point. One day, higher management came down and asked for our opinion on the management style. I said don't get me wrong I love my supervisor I think he's a great friend but I think I'd rather have someone else as my supervisor. I explained to him why. My supervisor was terminated after this and blamed me why he was let go from the company. My workmates got mad at me because the new management had a different styke they didn't like. You see, in the old management, they were always late and absent and they ALWAYS got away with it. With new management, they were always getting infractions which led them to point their fingers at me why they were always being scolded by the new management. I couldn't take it anymore so I quit. At my new work, it was much better. It was a higher paying job and management cares so much about its employees. Got along well with almost everyone except an incident. This incident happened so long ago but people still talk about it at the office that's why whenever I'm around, all I see are fake smiles. I like my new work especially since the management is so caring about the employees unlike my previous job. Because of that, I like to work my *** off. It's also a way for me to take my mind off of the sadness I feel. *Character limit reached. Please see part 4 |
Question: If me and my friends wear n95 masks and not touch each other, can we hang out? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:09 PM PDT I've been completely on my own in my flat for over a month now and I honestly feel like I'm going crazy my mental health is so bad and the only thing that helps me is meeting up with friends and keeping my mind occupied but obviously I can't... the rules in the uk are to stay 6ft apart and not meet up with anymore but if me and my friends wear the super protective masks and not touch can we hang out or is that still wrong of us to do?? |

Question: Would I be a hypocrit for this? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 12:37 PM PDT So my mom and dad stopped smoking like 5years ago, after my brother and I practically begged them to. They then told me that if I would smoke while being under 18 that I would have to pay my driver license lessons(like 1000euros), easy(I thought) because I was(/still am) anti-smoking. I actually did experiment smoking 4 times while being under 18, but never told them. Now I'm 19 and I caught my mom smoke, nobody knows it and I'm disappointed in her. She isn't planning to tell anyone. But I don't want to walk around like nothing happened, like she does right now. By not telling others, did she therefor lie to us? If so, would I be lying if I wouldn't tell anyone? And if so, is it hypocrit of me to go tell others about it? |
Question: Do you find life worth living anymore? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 12:36 PM PDT I sure don't. No friends to visit, no mall shopping, no beauty salons, nothing worth going to anymore. |
Question: In want to be popular in high school, how do I become popular? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 11:49 AM PDT I'm sick of having no friends |
Question: Is my friend's wife flirting with his friend? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 11:46 AM PDT Several months ago we had a gathering at a restaurant. My friend was on his way to the restaurant. His wife was already there and she was sitting next to his friend at a big table. I was sitting at the bar area. I noticed she was sitting very close to the guy and their legs were touching. A little later she puts her hand on his knee. Other friends sitting at the table were busy drinking and socializing and I guess they didn't notice. She left her hand on his knee forever but he didn't do anything. Is that appropriate? Is my friend's wife flirting with his friend? |

Question: What usually happens to girls like this after high school ? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 09:52 AM PDT I remember back in high school that here was this chubby girl that wore braces and glasses. Her skin was so clear, she had fair skin, blue eyes, brown hair, perfect small nose, and an oval shaped face but she was so quiet. Some of the girls on our cheer squad made fun of her for having big breasts (I think she was a DD) and she had a big butt too. I was a cheerleader and unlike most squad members I was nice to her but she was so quiet and never played any sports and kids made fun of her a lot. She was on the A&B honor roll a few times and she was so good in science class. She had almost no signatures in her yearbook at the senior yearbook party and so many kids have her weird looks when she walked around and so many kids thought she was weird for some reason but she was really nice and she was so smart whenever we spoke. I signed her yearbook and I recently discovered that she made a Facebook and we graduated in 2016. I heard that she is about to become an RN and she lost 40-50 pounds and had breast reduction surgery. Her teeth are very white and straight but she has friends that I don't recognize and she lives 400 miles away from where our high school is. Is it normal for the quiet kids to just be different after high school? |

Question: I have a conflict with a meetup member. Is this a good way to handle the situation? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 02:49 AM PDT I started a meetup group in July 2019. It's a small group of women looking for friends w/ same interests. I'm clashing with one member. She always has something negative to say about stuff that's to do with me. At dinner, we're talking about astrological signs, when I shared I'm a Leo, she said in a gasp, Leo's are so controlling! In a Zoom meeting, someone asked who among us is still going to the office during the lockdown, I said "I'm in real estate and staying home". She said, "the real estate business will not be doing well, people will think twice where to invest their money etc." She went onto say other reasons why. While there's some truth in that, I don't think it was necessary to bring it up if not to put down my job? She is oppositional only towards me, not with the others. Another time I brought up the need to share with meetup fees, $19 per person that would cover 6 months. Everyone else was agreeable except her. She asked why should there be fees? I said meetup.com is a business and member fees are inevitable. She later contributed but made a sarcastic comment "well, let's hope we get some members!" I feel negative vibes between us, its awkward. It's best to remove her from the group. The membership expires in July, I'll renew it & pay the organizer fees myself. Should I inform the others of why I removed her? They have her contact number to find out. Am I a villain in this situation? What do you think of my plan to remove her? Only serious answers pls. Thanks |
Question: When a girl says 'I don't want you to get in trouble because of me'? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 02:10 AM PDT What would you do? I'd genuinely ignore it and protect her even with fists from a guy who hassles her all the time. It's not her boyfriend, it's a stupid guy from eastern europe who winks at her, says bad things about her in his language and doesn't let her pass and forces her to say some words before. Sometimes he has other two guys that help him with this. She gets mad about it and starts to work nervously..she is NOT in love with him, she hates him. I told her I can deal with him but she is afraid they will beat me, becausw they are three, that's why she said that. |

Question: My best friend likes my brother.. how do I handle/cope with this? Posted: 16 Apr 2020 11:47 PM PDT Me and her have been friends for years and just recently got super close. Ive never had a best friend before and I was so excited to have someone so close to me. We hung out and had sleepovers all the time and shopped together, ect. Until all a sudden my brother hung out with us one night and she and him talked all night.. while I was just there. I felt so un-included and it hurt. I brushed it off and we continued to hangout and i never mentioned anything. She kept coming over but then all she would talk about is my brother and how cool he is and he isnt like any other guy shes talked to before. again, i could care less because hes my brother and just didn't care to talk about him. but it never stopped. until it got to the point where it felt like she was only coming over to see/talk to him. she disliked just hanging out with me and always asked where he was and why he wasnt hanging out with us. it really got on my nerves because it was like she didnt care about me at all anymore. and i felt really used. one night, we decided to sleep in my brothers room because we were having a small party with just my fam and her, but when i fell asleep, i saw her in his bed - keep in mind they were just talking and not like that at all - but i hated the fact that she was even in his bed. the next night, same thing happened. and a couple days later, she refused to sleep in my room anymore and only wanted to sleep in his because it was more "comfortable." i really feel used here. |

Posted: 16 Apr 2020 08:53 PM PDT Hey i'm 21 years old and so is my friend.my friend always wants me to spend the night at her house when i say all the time literally all the time. And if i refuse to not spend the night she will get mad or say things like i don't love her for real or i don't wanna spend time with her. Now we're both adults but i feel like i shouldn't always spend the night at her house like why, I honestly like laying in my own bed and being comfortable and most of the time i never really wanna spend the night. I never tell her no because she will get mad about it or think i'm acting different. She throws sleepovers like we're children. She also says she wants me to spend the night because she be bored. But when i do stay the night it don't seem like shes that excited. Even her own mother told me thats not a good idea thats how germs spread and its good to lay in your own bed. My friend still doesn't listen she keeps wanting me to stay the night when her mother complained about it. And even my mother gets mad and asks me things like is i'm gay? Why i always want to lay with another girl it annoys me. I still want us to hang out with out sleepovers all the time she wants me 24/7 to stay the night with her what can i do help ? And she gets offensive if i say no. |
