Question: why is she so cold with me????? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 05:40 PM PDT so I'm a dude and I met this woman from work. we used to talk alot and I began falling for her. I always noticed she would stare at me all day, and we will flirt with each other in a friendly way. I always made her smile and laugh, the problem was that she was married and she had 3. we NEVER talked inappropriately to each other. One day She told my best friend (a girl ) a big secret. She told my friend that apparently she was falling for me. she begged her to never tell me the truth because she was feeling guilty because she's married Month later the other co-workers began making rumours about us saying how we're always talking. so people thought there was something going on between us, it was a lot of drama at work and I was asked by supervisors to stop talking to her. she had told me she missed talking to me but she wanted things to cool down before we can talk again. weeks later I noticed she began giving me the cold shoulder at work. She was acting very different. one day for her birthday I gave her a gift card, but she told my supervisor about the gift card and he got mad and move me to a different floor far away from her. I feel like that was kind of selfish way throwing me under the bus, and Weeks Later she left work for 1 whole year and blocked me completely on Facebook. she returned early February after one year being absent. she always puts her head down when she sees me why is she acting so cold with me???? |
Question: Why do i still miss her????? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 05:16 PM PDT my name is Kyle, and I used to like this girl Diana. I really like her but she had a boyfriend and they were engaged. she had an amazing personality and I began falling for her more and more. eventually we both stop talking. it's been over a year since we've talked, and deep down I still miss her. sometimes I get tears in my eyes when I think about her, I've never felt this way for anyone before. I've always had such a strong personality but this really messed me up. why is this happening to me? I don't understand, I try to forget and move on with my life but it seems harder. :( |
Question: How to say no without ruining the friendship? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 05:13 PM PDT My friend wants to set me up with his sister. Not only am I not looking for a relationship right now, I'm honestly not into her. She's not a bad girl, I just don't see it happening. I don't want to tell my friend because I'm afraid he'll get the wrong idea and think I'm saying something's wrong with his sister. What do I do?? |
Question: Family friend stole from me? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 03:27 PM PDT Hello. So a few years ago my aunt (not biological a close family friend) offered to help me clean my bedroom since my mom had been complaining to her that my room was super messy. She came and helped me clean my room a lot. I had a lot of shower gels and body sprays. I went a few months later to check my collection and say that I had two left when I probably had 10 before. Also my body sprays and some nice perfumes were missing and nail polish. I think she was jealous because I was a young girl w really nice products. Bath and body works and expensive fragrances. I know she stole my stuff and gave them to her kids. When she came to my house a few months ago she asked to see my bedroom and shook my head no I feel like she knows that I know. I didn't care as much back then tho I was upset but now that I'm older I realized that was messed up. Her kids are grown and kind of want nothing to do with her but I can't completely cut her out because she's a family friend. I want my stuff back but I know it's not feasible. I have nicer stuff now but I'm still pissed. Why the hell would a grown woman in her 50s steal from a 16 year? What should I do? |
Posted: 26 Apr 2020 02:29 PM PDT She's in the 9th grade and hangs out with 6-7th graders and she doesn't have any friends in her grade. She also seems to like 12-year-old boys too instead of boys ages 14-17. |
Question: Is what I did necessary? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 01:32 PM PDT My friend invited a few people over for "social distancing" but I told him until the stay at home order is lifted, I'm playing it safe. Now I'm borderline being made fun of? Did I do the right thing or am I playing it too safe? |

Question: Anyone else like having the type of friends who are mildly annoying? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 11:29 AM PDT I like having friends who are somewhat obnoxious. The type of friends who will text you 50 times in a row to get you to answer, and they never run out of things to talk about. Friends who aren't dull to be around and will talk about anything and everything. Anyone else have this preference when it comes to friends? 😂 |
Question: Should I stress over getting my first set of zeros? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 11:07 AM PDT In the semester for a class I got two zeros. One for not completing a hw and another one for missing all questions on 3 question quiz. I am upset because those 2 zeros pulled me down to a B but part of me don't want to wory about it because my gpa is a 3.8 and it is my first 2 zeros in college. |
Question: I don't like socializing. How to decline an invite without offending anyone? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 10:40 AM PDT I do hang out occasionally and I do enjoy if it involves alcohol. However if I am sober I really want to go home and spend time by myself. Even the bar event, I don't wanna go regularly. I rather stay home most of the weekends. I just don't understand why my friends want to meet up so often and talk about almost same thing over and over. Sometime I feel like I am a heartless person but the fact is that I just don't like fake relationship. I know friends are supposed to be there to support each other and have fun together but I feel like sometime they take advantage of each other. I should just get out of the group but I don't wanna be rude. Should I just keep declining their offer? |

Question: How do I get my roommate to leave me alone?! ? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 07:44 AM PDT My best friend & I are roommates, we've been living together for a few months now. Her boyfriend recently broke up with her after learning the news that she's pregnant. Since their split she's been sleeping in my room every night, even though she has your own room & bed. At first I was okay with it because I felt bad that she's going through this situation, but now it's starting to get real annoying. She keeps the windows open & the curtain up. (we live in a really cold place) She unplugs my air freshener because she can't stand the smell & told me it gives her morning sickness. Also she leaves a bunch of trash in my room. I'll go to work & come home to find her still in my bed from all day.. (i'm an essential worker, she isn't so she's on quarantine) she complains to me every night about her problems but doesn't care to listen to mine. We're not sexually romantic in anyway if you're wondering. I just want her to leave me alone! How do I tell her to get out in a nice mature way? |
Question: How to deal with socially awkward roommate? ? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:14 AM PDT Hello guys. So I have a weird dilemma. I have had a roommate that I've been living with for a few months and he's never asked me one question. No exaggeration not one. And when we do talk it's about himself. We have had a good 20-30 conversations and he kept it all about him every single time. He also appears kind of nervous when talking to me. He's the pothead gamer dyed hair type and he does have a few friends but they appear to be just like him. I get that a lot of people in this country tend to be all about themselves but I think that's a bit overkill. He's 35 and I'm 33. Every time I even tried to have a convo with him it's like he looks for an exit and goes back to his computer. That pissed me off so I gave up and just stopped talking to him I only say hello and keep moving. How would you guys handle it? And no, I never tried to talk the guy to death just basic short convos to try and get to know him and get him comfortable. He's had friends over and all they do is talk about garbage for hours and smoke so I'm not sure what it is. Just wanted to get some other opinions. Thanks |
Question: Why do I push people away? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 01:50 AM PDT I recently deleted my long distance friends number and then changed my number. We were more like penpals. Anyways, I will never be able to talk to this person again as I don't remember their number and they don't have my number. I planned it that way. I am also tempted to block another friend for almost no reason. Why am I doing this? I feel I *have* to get rid of them and push them away from me, but I know I will eventually be sitting alone with nobody to talk to wondering "Is this what I wanted?" Why am I like this? I feel like I don't want anyone getting too close but then I feel lonely?? |
Question: I cant stop thinking about this even though it was so long ago~! T^T? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 10:52 PM PDT I went over to my best friend's (also my boyfriend?) house for his birthday and it was him, me, and another friend of ours. We ended up going swimming and I didn't have a bathing suit that covered everything (I'm stupidly self-conscious) so I just wore a shirt and a bathing suit bottom, the shirt went down to my mid thigh but.. I wasn't wearing a bra or anything. When we got to the pool I had to take off the pants I was wearing on the ride there and both of them just kinda... stared at me for a second. What does that mean!? Was it because I wasn't wearing pants!? They NEVER see me bare legged, I'm always wearing pants or leggings and shorts. I'm much confusion. I'm probably over thinking this but they weren't saying anything when I first came out of the dressing room either! Is this stupid? Am I just being dumb and immature? These guys are my best friends by the way so we are decently close I'd say, though they do argue. Can someone please help its been over a month but it's driving me nuts. T~T Oh and the entire ride I had been using my jacket to cover my top half because I was embarrassed/uncomfortable being bra less around them. T^T |
Question: Why are Indian women so socially awkward around men? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 09:44 PM PDT I notice a lot of indian women are very quiet, socially awkward, and strange socially. They avoid eye contact, look around frantically in social situations, panic, stutter, are very shy, and very hesitant around men. I imagine most of them are virgins and need arranged marriages to other socially awkward indian men because they can't meet the opposite sex organically in a social setting Getting them to say more than 10 words is like pulling teeth |
Posted: 25 Apr 2020 09:38 PM PDT They are totally destroted. it was a big poop! |
Posted: 25 Apr 2020 09:10 PM PDT I'm 22. My 2 best friends, who live an hour away from my family's house, were aware that a month ago I faced the worst domestic violence in my household that I'd ever faced. I reached out to them both. I got slow/lackluster responses from both of them, but didn't let it bother me. They both honestly tried to have me come to their houses, but due to social distancing their families said no. I understood, and told them I'd probably stay at a hotel. That didn't seem to concern one of them. The other friend said that if I isolated for a week, I could maybe stay with him. He never followed up on that. That was the last time we'd spoken. Luckily, a family friend that lives near my friends let me come and stay. I've been with the family friend for the last month. However, for weeks neither of my friends reached out. I could see them on social media, breaking social distancing by hanging out/eating ice cream together and having a great time, laughing. It took 2 weeks for one of them to talk to me, and that's because she noticed on Snapchat that I was in town. She was very Shocked and excited that I was in town, and wanted to hangout. But if she never found out I was in town, i just wonder how long it would have taken her to say something. And my other friend only just spoke to me this last Monday. He said nothing noteworthy. I'm relocating in a week to begin my career, and I'm seriously doubting my desire to keep in touch with them. Thoughts? Gypsy: so a best friend can't even call to check in? What are friends for exactly, if they can't even call you during a rough time? Do you have friends? |

Question: Is it possible that an adult could be bullying my 15-year-old daughter on Instagram ? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 08:18 PM PDT This person has their hair in a ponytail in their profile pic and the photo look so edited. This person calls my daughter ugly, unaboob, fat, and even messages a friend of hers and makes fun of them too. She also claims that my child fantasizes about burgers and makes fun of my daughters breast size and weight constantly. Because if covid-19 the school is completely closed but this person keeps making accounts after being blocked just to harass my child and a friend of hers. Is this what a teen would do or could this be some 20 something year old doing this? |
Question: Long distance best friend came out as bi... ? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 07:07 PM PDT First of all, I am 100% supportive of him. (lets call him Ben) We have been best friends since first grade. I moved away in 6th grade, and we still chatted basically everyday. Now we've been zooming and stuff. I've gone back to visit him. he's my best friend ever. the nicest guy. he came out on social media that he was bi and we talked about it, too. I guess I maybe suspected it a little, but not really... I was really glad to have this conversation with him. then we carried on talking about our usual. anyways, one of my other friends (from where I used to live) texted me saying this: you know Ben likes you. Just wanted to give you a heads up. I don't think he likes me in this kind of way, but I guess it could be true? but I don't want to ask him. (I am a boy and straight). but if he likes me in that way, I don't want it to ruin our really good friendship (bc I just really like him as a friend).. Could anyone please offer me advice? |
