Question: What do I do if my parents order me quarantine for Christmas? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 01:03 PM PDT They've been paranoid about coronavirus |

Question: Why do my parents not use condoms during sex? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 12:17 PM PDT They are 34 and 36 and they don't use them even though they have told me to use them a million time. There is no point in this stuff honestly. |
Question: When will quarantine end ? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 10:50 AM PDT My sisters boyfriend said he's been feeling miserable and saying that its driving him crazy not being able to see her its been almost 2 months since he's seen her. We can't risk my sister getting sick because of her asthma and weak immune system she can't be around people right now. He said even face timing her is starting to get boring. She's starting to worry about him. If she gets sick shell have to go to the hospital alone she couldn't handle that. She hopes to see him sometime the end of May or June but were not sure when it'll be safe for her. Also she just had a new heart valve put in last year through cath lab this time if she gets the virus they'll have to do open heart she can't go through with that I don't want her too. It would hurt me and scare me knowing she's in the hospital alone going through that. I know its driving them crazy not being able to see each other she thinks they're the only couple going through this because his brothers girlfriend can live with him my boyfriend lives with us but he has to for a reason. Probably the same with them. She wants to know when will quarantine be over and it be safe for them to see each other again ? |
Question: Can I keep my last name if my mom marries another guy? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 10:49 AM PDT my dad died a couple years ago and my mom is engaged to him. I want to keep my dads last name. |
Question: Do you take pictures of casket at burial? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 10:45 AM PDT My grandfather was only able to have a burial with a few family members present because of the Corona Virus. During the prayer before they put him in the ground. I was crying and just looking at his casket. I was very close to my grand dad and he raised me. My friend was there consoling me. Then my mother kept saying " Take a picture ! Take a picture ! , Take a picture ! It was annoying the heck out of me. She only wanted a picture taken to post on facebook. Taking a picture of my grandfather casket or taking a picture standing by his casket never crossed my mind. I guess I'm strange dor not thinking about taking a picture of a casket. I honestly dont want that visual memory stored in my phone. I would like to come across pictures in my phone of him laughing and smiling. My friend asked did I want a picture of us by his casket I said no. Am I weird for not being anxious to take a photo at a burial? Or is that normal for photos to be taken at a burial. His casket was closed at the burial site. And she wanted a picture of his casket. I was crying and sad and wasnt thinking about taking a photo. It really annoyed me. |
Posted: 26 Apr 2020 08:57 AM PDT She's mad at my mom's friend and so she won't speak to us and this doesn't make sense to me as we're not my mom's friend. She also won't let her children come over unless it's a holiday. |
Posted: 26 Apr 2020 08:55 AM PDT I'm scared of conflict but some of his lies really hurt. Like last winter I made plans for a trip based on a promise he made and of course he broke it and now I can't travel because of COVID-19. Another example was when he made promises for a Christmas visit and he knew it was really important to me and then he broke up, this was six years ago. It was a visit to my grandmother who was dying at the time. My dad as always was negligent. |

Question: How would you deal with a weird roommate situation? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 07:11 AM PDT Hello guys. I have had a roommate that I've been living with for a few months and he's never asked me one question. No exaggeration not one. And when we do talk it's about himself. We have had a good 20-30 conversations and he kept it all about him every single time. He also appears kind of nervous when talking to me. He's the pothead gamer dyed hair type and he does have a few friends but they appear to be just like him. I get that a lot of people in this country tend to be all about themselves but I think that's a bit overkill. He's 35 and I'm 33. I gave up and just stopped talking to him I only say hello and keep moving. Even if he starts talking about himself randomly I just say ok that's nice and move on. I do that because every time he talks about himself it will just stay about himself the entire convo and I cannot stand self centered people. How would you guys handle it? And no, I never tried to talk the guy to death just basic short convos to try and get to know him and get him comfortable. He's had friends over and all they do is talk about garbage for hours and smoke so I'm not sure what it is. Just wanted to get some other opinions. Thanks For anyone that thinks I'm looking for a friendship with this guy I'm not. We are cut differently and could never be friends. My thing was if it's just a roommate situation and we don't talk on a personal level that's fine by me. But don't bring up your personal life when I'm going to the kitchen to grab a snack. I tried being nice when he would do that and would try to show interest in the convo but he just kept it on himself the whole time and this happened every time. |
Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:57 AM PDT My parents disinherited me because in their own words, "because we can", so a year later since then, when they decided to visit my house again, I told them that I've decided to kill myself and leave this world behind. And then they say "How do you think we'd feel if you were to die? How do you think that would affect us? Do you have any idea what that would do to us?" And I said "Yeah.........so what? If you grieve, you grieve. It's not my problem. Too bad, so sad." And my parents got angry and called me "a selfish @$$" and I said "It's MY life! Just like you're free to do with your stuff as you will as in give it to charity, I am free to smoke, drink, do drugs, get body piercings, abuse my body, even throw myself off of a cliff if I want to. I'm selfish but you aren't? Double standards, man. Get the Hell out of my house!" |
Question: My Dad told me to grow a pair, what does this mean? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:51 AM PDT He said it after I stole I am 18 now but was 13 at the time he told me it. I had stolen from my sister. |

Question: How can I ruin my stepdaughters relationship with her mom? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:25 AM PDT I don't want my step daughter to have a relationship with her mother I want to ruin it what is the best way to stop my step daughter from having a relationship with her I don't like her mother |
Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:12 AM PDT For example currently my Dad has ordered me not to speak to my Mom's sister. He says she is mean and if I see her she will think everything is okay since I am nice. I am to defend another aunt that this sister is mean to. Also my mother has gotten angry because I was nice and chatty when I ran into my uncle's ex-wife who wronged him by leaving him. They get me enmeshed in these conflicts. I hate conflict and so I don't stand up to my parents and say STOP. As a kid I was used at age 9 to manipulate an alcoholic into recovery. While I understood the need to leave early if I get scared by the alcoholic's behavior, banning me from going to any family celebration so this person would get help was wrong of my parents and cost me an important part of my childhood for 7 years. Plus, the alcoholic never got help. So how do I stop being enmeshed in these adult conflicts that usually involve adults acting like 7 year olds? Lili: yes, the shrink knows. I come on here because I cannot in real life as people all around me get me enmeshed in these conflicts. Some questions on here people answering this is me and it is not, I ask about 2 or 3 times a week. |

Question: Can not stand dads new gf? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 03:17 AM PDT Hi everyone. I have a serious question regarding my mental health and sanity dealing with my dads gf. She's been in my life for about 2 years now and she still find ways to make me dislike her even more. Basically my dad cheated on my mom with her (my mom showed me a P.I. video of him making out with her while they were still married) and she moved in the day after my mom moved out. As you can imagine me, being 15 at the time was not too fond of her. I am 17 now, and you would think things have somewhat simmered down, but that is not the case. I am always nice to her, no matter what. I try to be respectful for my dads sake but apparently it's not good enough. Also, I live with my dad most of the time due to the fact that it's close to my school and it was the house I grew up in (I have trouble with change). Anyways, so she gets mad at me for EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. Making too much noise at night (when I am not even being loud), not doing something I was never even told to do, etc. I just have a problem with the fact that she acts like the house belongs to her and only her. Oh and also her 14 year old son who lives with us as well. Things are drastically different with her compared to my mom. Friends, parties, everything. She just got mad at me and my friends because we were "extremely rude and slamming doors" and texted me an essay about it. It's just upsetting because my mom and my dad were never like that (my dad still isnt). But if she doesn't like it, it's over |
Question: Why does my stepdad love my mom but not me? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 01:28 AM PDT It's very apparent and their child together too. Yesterday we went to out new house that is under construction. He opened the door and my mom went in first, then their child and then he just went in and I went last. He always wants me to stay in my room so I don't have too much influence on their child. They are about 36-37 and their child is 2 and I'm 17 and moving out in a year or two. |
Question: Are you close to your siblings? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 10:47 PM PDT I have one sibling and I used to be close to her but I had to stop. She has about 3 kids and being close to her meant that I had to help her cook and clean. Being close to her meant there was trust enough to where maybe I can babysit her children for free. Being close to her meant if I had an extra couple hundred dollars she wanted to borrow some. When she started a barber business I had to get a haircut with her even if I didn't want to. Eventually I had to keep my distance otherwise I would be stuck helping and helping when I'm only 23 years old and instead of doing all that I would like to go hang out with friends. Is this selfish of me? |
Posted: 25 Apr 2020 08:59 PM PDT Just backstory on me: I'm 24, have my masters, and I'm a full time elementary school teacher... I can't do much honestly since I already put the deposit and signed all the papers but I'm basically scared now. I was super excited planning it (for a year) and thinking about my future. My parents are mentally and emotionally abusive people. Living at home isn't the best situation for my wellbeing. I always feel like I'm doing something wrong, I'm a failure, like I don't matter, because of the things they say and do. It's gotten to a point where it's affected my job ( I have my masters but no credential yet and my parents always throw in my face that I'm not qualified so I go into work with extreme anxiety). I'm dating someone who is extremely loving and kind. I feel bad when he comes over because my parents don't talk to him or give him dirty looks. My parents got mad that I made the choice to move out and they started telling me I have no money and I need at least 20k in my savings account, that I'm wasting my money on rent and should've bought a house, that if I waited they could've thrown my a house warming party, how I'm going to fail at building a good life for myself, I'm just scared now. I have consistent pay and only plan to move up in life (become a university professor). Idk why I'm so scared now and what to do about it. A lot of my friends have mediocre jobs and live in cute rich apartments with no parents help. So I think I can do it. |

Question: Siblings keep doing this without permission....? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 07:22 PM PDT so my family used to vlog a little when I was in middle school. didn't enjoy it. luckily we never really made it big on YouTube. Now during quarantine, my sister and brother are starting to post on their small channels again (ugh) and they film me (without my permission) and lie that they will delete it. I don't know why it bothers me so much but it does. My parents really don't care... I wish they did. but I'm tired of all ready being all over the internet (kinda) when I was younger. (I'm the oldest sibling btw) why does no one in my family listen to me? |

I haven't gone to college yet because i dont know what to study. I doo have 2 jobs. I have 3 sibling but apperantly im my dads biggest disappointment in life. All my dads friends tell me about how my dad is disappointed in me because im a failure. My brothers and sisters are older than m, e but they don't judge my life. They're always by my side no matter what. One day I heard my dad's wife talking about me. she said that I'm a failure and I'm a big disappointmen. Question: I'm worried about my younger sister.. ? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 06:56 PM PDT • picks at her food • looks really pale • seems kind of depressed • goes to bed early • always hogging the bathroom and yelling at me to go away (never happened before) • doesn't want to strength condition with me any more (we are both gymnasts) and prefers to go for walks (but won't have me walk with her)? • mood changes quickly We have never been super close, but normally she is really sweet. she is 14 (almost 15) and I am 13. My parents (who have 5 kids including me and my sister) have noticed this. Whenever I ask what's wrong, she refuses to tell me? She doesn't look very well and doesn't have a ton of energy. I am really worried. help. I meant older sister. this has been going on for 2 weeks. my parents say give her time, but I'm wondering if there's something she's not telling me. but she's always so cheerful and open idk.. I just googled anorexia (not super familiar with it) and it sounds like she could have it. I think my mom said she herself used to have a bad relationship with food (possibly anorexia maybe). so should I let my mom help her or should I tell my mom? it seems like my parents are aware... idk... |
Question: Why do people have children in this bad world? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 06:48 PM PDT The suffering of this world is very great. I don't want a person to suffer the same or worse than me. I will never have children for that. |
Question: Forgive and forget? OR forgive and move on? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 05:18 PM PDT Should you forgive a person who keeps making the same mistakes they already said they were sorry for and can't promise any change? Does that make you stupid to forgive? Or would it be the right thing to do but move on without that person? Forgive for yourself not for them? This person also expects things to be "normal" like nothing happened after he apologizes |
Question: How do I get my crush to unblock me on snapchat? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 03:56 PM PDT he blocked me when i tried adding him |
Question: My little sister only uses me for rides? what should i do? ? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 03:44 PM PDT ok so i'm 23 and my little sister is 20. she has a job and license but she doesn't have a car because she blows all her money on weed. she can't use my moms car because my mom doesn't let her and my mom works the same hours she does. my sister works first shift and i work second so i'm usually able to give her rides but lately it's been getting a little annoying. the only time she ever talks to me is so she can get rides to and from work. i live 15 minutes away from her and my moms place so it's annoying having to drive all the way out there to get her. plus she has the worst attitude. she always acts like she doesn't wanna be around me and she gets mad whenever i ask for gas money. whenever i try and make plans with her just for bonding purposes she completely blows me off to hang with friends which i don't mind but i just wonder why aren't these friends able to take her to and from work? idk what to do because she's my sister and i love her but it's also hella annoying |
Question: Was I right to cut ties with my dad? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 03:09 PM PDT I recently found out that my dad got divorced with my mom and remarried with another woman. The woman is now preganant. All of that was done without me knowing a damn thing. I didn't react right away and waited for 3 months and before finally cutting ties with him. By the way, he's been very proud of me until now and I didn't make a scene out of this whole situation. Just sent him an email and that was it. I'm wondering what he must've been feeling right now. And what to expect next? The main point is, I'm doing perfectly fine on my own. I just see this as some sort of revenge. I'd feel glad if he's feeling horrible What I'm mad about is not because of the remarrige, but because my dad didn't tell me anything. The divorce, the remarriage, the new baby. I found out about all of those things by myself. Besides, my dad also tried to contact me multiple times and said he's sad and stuff. But for me, he didn't even bother telling me about those three big events that concern me (the divorce, the remarriage, the baby), so I don't want to reply either. And knowing him, I guess he'll be devastated. |
