Question: Should I be friends with a girl I’m attracted to? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 04:36 PM PDT I'm a 21 year old guy and I'm friends with a 22 year old girl. Back in 2017, she was in my suggested on Facebook, we had a friend in common. So I sent her a friend request. I thought she looked like a cool person and a pretty girl. As the years went on over interacting on social media, we learned we had more in common than we originally thought. It turns out our dads know each other through work. So this past fall I asked her to meet me for ice cream. We never called it a date or anything. And we had a nice friendly time, but it was very platonic. Haven't seen her since. She's back in town, and I messaged her if she'd like to meet up after the pandemic to catch up over dinner. She said yes. Here's the deal. We have many connections to each other, and I'm friends with her mom over social media too. I'm unable to angle this as anything romantic. Should I just be friends with her and stop trying to make a romantic angle?? She's never hinted she likes me any more than a friend. And I don't want to make things awkward. I just don't know if I can be friends with a girl I like romantically. Can I handle that?? I know, it's a unique situation. We've only met each other in person the one time, over ice cream. Otherwise, we interact mostly by liking each other's posts on social media |
Question: Friend keeps bringing up her religion and plays victim card? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 04:24 PM PDT So I belong to Religion A, and my friend belongs to Religion B. My friend is always talking about her religion, almost as if she's showing off how great it is, despite being aware I don't follow it. At the same time, she did tell me 'these are only religion B beliefs and you don't have to believe it'. She has a very nice personality, but it's just that she's ALWAYS bringing her religion into things. She also plays the victim card and says so many bad things are happening to those of her religion, despite the fact that her religion's people have done and are doing terrible things to the people of my religion. Yet she talks like the world has a problem with only her people and there's oh so much cruelty happening to them. So...what can I do about this? I avoid these topics as I want the friendship. Does she genuinely not know about her religion's atrocities? She even shared an fb post on her page that contained something against my religion, and she gave it a like. I'm confused...what do I do? Thank you. |

Posted: 19 Apr 2020 03:08 PM PDT Basically, me and my boyfriend have been dating for about 6 months, and the beginning of our relationship was weird. There wasn't really any effort being put in from both parts so it was just a relationship with a label, if that makes sense. Neither of us cheated, however, there was this one girl that he was talking to before we went out. Apparently they were about to go out but that's when i decided to tell him that i liked him and he started talking to me. We started dated and like i said there wasn't any effort being put in and he remained friends with the girl. I didn't have a problem with that (honestly because i didn't know ALL of their history, just that they used to talk), but then she started doing little stuff. Looking at me weird, touching him weirdly, all that and i never said anything, i just distanced myself from my boyfriend (dumb, ik) so he ended the relationship and i accepted it but i just couldn't let how i felt go unspoken so i told him and we talked about it and we got back together. Later (at like month 3) he cut her off after i started a riot because of something she did (that was the last straw for me so he had no choice). Now (3 months later), even though it ended i still feel some type of way and idk what i'm feeling or even what to do about the feeling. I just feel like something more happened during our relationship between them (which he has denied and i trust him) and it's just making me feel...idk what it is! idk if it's jealousy or anger or resentment, and it's really taking a toll on my life since i'm constantly feeling it but I can't really say anything because idk how i feel! Just today he told me EVERYTHING about their past and it wasn't anything bad, it was just that he was "emotionally attached" and didn't want to cut her off for nothing (in the beginning of our relationship) and it was more difficult to cut her off because of that. And i can understand that but letting her do stuff and get away with it was unacceptable and even when i brought those things up in the past he would kinda brush them off. but any advice? |
Question: Am I right to call this rape? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 02:26 PM PDT So last night my friends came over and we were all drinking. Me and one of my girl friends got really drunk but my girl friend the most. At one point I was having problems so I was having another friend help me. During this a guy friend who was there told my girl friend to go to the bathroom. I find out this morning that she says she hardly remembers but remembers enough to know that they had sex. The girl who was helping me and the guy are married. I obviously told his wife because she's my friend and she bringing up the conversation to him tonight (they're waiting until tonight because they have kids and want them to be asleep first). But anyways, am I right to say that he raped her? Because he was also hardly drunk. He had a few drinks but his tolerance is really high so he was barely buzzed. But he took advantage of my friend while knowing she was extremely drunk. No I don't know if she consented. The fact is that she was off her *** drunk and couldn't even stand up. He knew how drunk she was and he took advantage of that. Even if she initiated or said yes, she was under the influence and he was wrong to sleep with her knowing that |
Posted: 19 Apr 2020 02:15 PM PDT Hung out with college friend in Georgia(state we live in go to college to). Live in different towns. Drove to his area. We went to restaurant in my car. I got really drunk lol. He drive us back to his house and let me sleep in his house in his room for 5 hours till I sobered up. His parents aren't fans of driving but we made up something so they wouldn't get mad. Good friend right? |
Question: Did I pick a really stupid name for my website? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 01:51 PM PDT I wanted to start a blog about getting active when your not used to it and I called it Divan Spud (couch potato). It's mostly an informational website and I was hoping to make a little money to cover the costs of maintaining the website with affilate ads and by suggesting a few products. Several of my friends looked at what I had and told me it was really stupid. I registered divanspud.com, divanspud.net and divanspud.org. Since it's not possible to change the URL of a website, I'd have to delete the website and start over which I don't want to do. Just so everyone knows, the website is still under construction, it is NOT ready so if you try to go there it will just say "under construction". I just want to know if it's a stupid idea so I can stop before I put any more into it. |
Question: Please help with this? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 01:08 PM PDT Why do some people stop talking to their friends? Because this has happened to me and I really don't know why unless they are going through something because I don't do anything to them |
Question: Why did the loss of my mother make me an anti-social? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 01:04 PM PDT I was usually a friendly person, that guy who always smiles at people and greet them but now I feel like I just want to go straight home and not talk to people. My friends would often hug me but it feels like i really don't want to be with them. I dont even want to talk to my dad and he keeps bugging me and he just wants to talk about random stuff i don't really care about. I just want to be left alone and I feel peace when I am alone. I still cry myself to sleep but i dont think sharing about my pain will make me feel any better. Is this something normal? I am not in the US. |
Question: Is my friend using me?? ? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 10:47 AM PDT So i have a friend that lives like 2 minutes away from me and she always calls me to take her grocery shopping or to go with her and she is always texting or talking on the phone with men and her other friends and well other people have told me that she just uses me for my pickup truck and on april 1st she crashed for texting and the hot was on my side and now my arm hurts when i move it and like in the beginning of march her car battery died and she told me to go pass her cables so there i go from my house all the way to the store and even my dad went to help her out and because of me helping her my battery messed up and i had to buy a new one and well the way things are now with the virus i told her that i could not go out that much anymore that my parents told me to not go out so much and she has not talked to me sinse.. so is she using me?? Question: Should I tell my friend that I think her son is going to grow up to be gay? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 09:05 AM PDT He's 6 and acts girly, likes barbies, puts a towel on his head to pretend it's long hair, etc. should I tell her? |
Posted: 19 Apr 2020 09:01 AM PDT Well. Basically after everything that happened. I pretty much feel like I was disposable as a friend from the start. The girl that I ended my friendship with didnt even want to preserve our friendship. How painful. |
Posted: 19 Apr 2020 08:34 AM PDT They care more about looking cute for snapchat or instagram or their social media image than their actual character in real life and being a good person and care more about getting stuff at Sephora than being a good sister or friend |
Question: Why my best friend always trying to destroy my mood and my self esteem? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 07:54 AM PDT Well she had many issues with me(idk why i had never done somethibg bad to her)But her big issue is my appereanceFor sone strange reasin she hates when i feel confidence and she tries too hard to convince me that i am ugly...One day i told her that i like a guy and she told me in a rude way that i am too ugly for himOne other day she told me that a girl called me ugly behind my back only to make me feel like crapShe also tries to make me feel jealous of other girls(thats funny because i dont feel jealous of anyone)by compliment another girl for her beauty and while she do that she look at me to see my reactionBtw i had heard that she used to hate me by the first time she saw me before she became my friend and she used to insult me all the time...Wtf????i had never done something bad to her??Why does she hate me? |
Question: How to deal with a friend that has mental illness? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 07:13 AM PDT Hello, so i'm 16 and i've started becoming close to these girls that i've known all throughout high school and middle school because of quarantine, and theres this one girl ill call her avery i'm concerned for. I have moderate depression but nothing compared to hers. Well so what happened is that avery is always saying how shes obese and shes going to die from it, ofc i reassure her and try to help but she keeps saying it. And then she apologized for "lashing out" at me before when I didn't even know she lashed out at me. And then heres what happened that really made me annoyed. She was asking for advice on how to deal with her depression and i was like im always here to talk if you need me and told her to take one step at a time and all that but she didnt even say thank you but just complained how hard it would be. What really annoyed me is that avery said the other girl who im friends with was "check your other messages" so was she talking about me? At least do it behind my back. I understand where her depression is coming from, but does that give her a right to be annoyed at me? She has such a negative attitude and isnt even trying to get better |

Question: I want to jerk off with my best friend. Is that weird? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 06:38 AM PDT Growing up I never had many friends, and he and I lost contact in high school. I'm now in college and am home because of the coronavirus. We were talking about grabbing lunch and hanging out at his place for the night, but when I think about it, I think about what it would be like to jerk off with him. I'm just curious how big he is compared to me, and I've thought about what it might be like to do that. I don't think I'm gay but I've heard some friends jack off together and I was wondering if it was normal and how we might go about doing that together? |

Question: Friends in the workplace? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 12:00 AM PDT So just recently I was offered a job by my best friends Dad to work for him in a food truck. I don't know if it's a good idea to work for my friends family or not. I work at a fast food place rn but I'm tired of the same routine of making fries all day. I feel like working in a food truck will give me the kind of freedom that I think I'm missing. As I've said before I haven't decided yet so I would like to have some input on people's experiences working for someone else's family. I don't think that me and the Dad are friends, but he does seem to like me as a person since I'm "laid back". What should I do? |
Question: What is a "snenis"?? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 10:24 PM PDT My friends at school keep talking about "snenises" and I don't know what they mean??? is it a kind of drug? a food or animal? If it helps, one time my friend said that "Hey do you wanna hang out after school and do snenises" I'd very much appreciate any helpful tips or advice |

Question: How would you respond? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 09:58 PM PDT Late tonight a truck drove down my cove. It's not unusual but none of my neighbors had visitors and I live at the end of a cove. It slowed down in front of my house. A few minutes later, my friend texted me saying someone just drove by his house and threw a bunch of trash in his yard. The description of the truck matched the one I had seen. I'm thinking my friend told one of his friends to drive by my house as a joke. He even told me he was watching TV in a front room of his house which is exactly what I was doing. And he asked me if I had a neighbor with a fire pit out front which I do. Weird |
Question: How do I go about this? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 08:34 PM PDT I'm 17, my parents had been gone for about 1 month, stuck in Europe because of coronavirus, and they walked in on me and my friend smoking weed, they walked in and my friend took the blame, she knew I was doing it too I think, she hasn't talked to me all day, what should I do? |
Question: Why did she turn her back on me???? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 06:42 PM PDT I was friends with this girl from work, we both worked across the hall from eachother. But we would talk all the time, i had feelings for her but she was married. She would stare at me like crazy but we never talked innapropriate to eachother. She told one of my close friends, that she is falling for me and that she cares for me. But she begged my friend to never tell me. She would always talk highly about me, and i made her blush later on some coworkers began talking bad about me and her, they kept reporting us to management saying that we're always flirting, and other people began making rumours. so later my manager told me to stop talking to my friend, so the drama could stop. she would still talk to me behind everyone's back because she missed my presence, But eventually I noticed she had become really weird with me, and was giving me the cold shoulder. she was still staring at me like crazy but, but would look down. one day for her birthday I gave her a gift card, but days later she gave the manager the gift card and told him that my presence was affecting her. my manager moved me from the floor far away from her, One week later she left work and took an entire year off, and she blocked me completely off Facebook. She came back to work early February after 1 year of being gone. She looks down when she sees me, and she avoids areas i go too. Why did she push me away this way?? She knew i respected her |
Question: No friends, no girlfriend, no life? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 06:07 PM PDT Looking through Facebook (under a fake name) and finding people I work with, as well as people I went to high school with, has left me in a state of massive depression. Playing on the internet and watching tv nonstop in my free time has clouded the reality of just how crappy my life is. I must be the only 27 year old in the United States without a Facebook account. Why you ask? I would just humiliate myself if I signed up now because of the no friends no girlfriend thing. Some of these people have over 400 friends and I have none. I've had friends before, but lost touch with them years ago. I have never had anything close to a girlfriend, or even a friend that was a girl. I found everyone I work with at my job at the grocery store was friends with each other. I want to be liked and loved by other people, but I don't know how to achieve that. I really am a sweet person. I do nice things for people all the time, but it still doesn't get me any friends. I am looking for advice on how to improve my social life. |
Question: Is it normal that i've never been bullied? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:41 PM PDT Everyone always talks about how they got picked on in high school but i've never experienced any of it. Is that weird? |
