Question: What should I do when my grandparents pass away ? ? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 02:09 PM PDT I've been thinking lately that one of these days one of my grandparents won't wake up and I'm truthfully going to be confused. I'm the baby so I watch them but once they leave Idk if I'll have a idea of who I really am or what life changing moves I wanna make. There's too much to think about. |

Question: Why Is My Little Brother So Unmotivated? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 12:15 PM PDT My brother is 11 years old. According to his x-ray scans, he will grow anywhere from 6'6" to 6'9" by the age of 21, so naturally I introduced him to basketball and football. He didn't like those too much. Any workout or drill that required the least bit of effort, he gave up on because it was "hard". Now, I know how this sounds, but I've never tried to force anything on him or live through him. However, if he finds himself to be passionate about a sport, there might be a shot at him getting a free eduction if he hones that skill early on, not having to struggle to pay his way through school. So he didn't like sports which is fine. He plays the flute in his free time but never takes it seriously. Whenever I try to work with him he gets frustrated and quits. We've done this with a multitude of things. The only thing he likes is video games, and he doesn't want to become a streamer or record gameplay. By no means do I want to monetize my brother, but I want to open his avenues a bit and see what he is really passionate about. He's extremely socially awkward and feels "meh" about anything besides his xbox. Any time that he faces the slightest bit of duress on any task, he quits. I really want to change the narrative a bit since my parents are lazy too. Being lazy in the hood is no good. I just want to help him find something that he's passionate about before he ends up in my spot, paying his way through college while piling massive amounts of debt because my parents said so. |
Question: How do I deal with my mother? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 11:55 AM PDT Some background info: I'm a college student in the process of pursuing a degree that I chose for myself. I'm already halfway through with completing it and if I turn back now, all the years that I've dedicated towards this field of study would be wasted. However, there's not a single day that goes by without my mother pestering me to become a lawyer instead. I don't understand her obsession with this field of work but I'm assuming it's because of the prestige and money. (And she keeps telling me that I would be able to "help her" in her future business-related activities, aka she won't have to spend money on an actual lawyer and just use me instead). I keep telling her that I don't want to go this route mostly because 1) I have no interest, 2) I'm not good at arguing with people or public speaking in general, and 3) I just can't see myself wasting money to go to law school because I already know I would be absolutely miserable there if I did. However, my mother never listens and keeps guilt tripping me and telling me that she raised me so why can't I just do what she says and help her in the future? That I'm a bad daughter for not wanting to help her and for what did she work so hard for that I won't even do this much for her? I do love my mother but I refuse to just throw away my entire life to a career that I have no interest in. Besides, I can see myself earning a good amount of money with my current degree so I don't understand why my mother isn't satisfied. |
Question: What should I do now? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 11:48 AM PDT Last night my daughter and I had a discussion about our relationship and it was a waste of time in her opinion. She is 27 and we have not been getting along for 6 mos now. She just moved back home. She was very upset that I did not try and talk with her for a few mins again before sleeping. I got up and went for a walk today. She feels that I have not made this relationship a priority and tried to move things forward by even inches. She says that I am a loser and avoid conflict. I hide and do not face issues head on. She says that we are now divorced. How can I make it up to her? |
Question: I hate my father. He hates me what do I do? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 11:46 AM PDT My dad's doesn't leave the house. He doesn't work and hasn't for over 12 years. My mom literally worked herself to a heart attack. His mother never cared about me she never spent one birthday with me my entire life. She never comes around. He won't let my mom have any friends. He pushes them all away. He won't let me see my mom's family at all. I've basically spent my whole life alone in my room. He won't let me have any friends either. He treats me like crap. Hes super paranoid about everything. He makes me look him up on the internet to see if anyone is talking about him. He basically takes everything out on me. Hes kicked me out a few times. Which is usually me walking 4 or 5 miles sometimes in the rain or snow. I can't have anything a family , friends. A house I can never have what normal people have. |

Question: Do you need an apartment before a house ? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 10:05 AM PDT Im a 26 y/o with a child who still lives at home. I have a promising career as a registered nurse. But I'm ready for a change and ready to be on my own. I afraid of dropping the bomb on my mother because i know she is gonna be upset and refuse to help me with my child because of me wanting to leave. To be honest I'm extremely stressed and ready to let go of my childhood room and move on to full privacy. The only issue is my lack of support my child's father is completely absent in her life so if I'm working 12 hrs at a hospital i'll need help during those hours. I am currently saving up money but i am not sure of the steps to take to go about purchasing my own home. And certainly right now with the pandemic it is not a good time. I am extremely thankful for all my mothers support i pay loads of cash and also maintain certain bills. I think the issue is that she is a widow and afraid of maintaining the mortgage alone. But i cannot live how i want to with her i would like to have company and privacy of my own. Any advice is helpful. |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 09:10 AM PDT My mom and dad don't understand quarantine. Maybe if they get it, they'll learn. |
Question: Kid wants to spend more time at dad’s house, any advice? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 09:04 AM PDT My son really likes his dad and his dad is a good guy. He's never been late on child support and his wife treats our son like her own. He's more financially well off then we are so he has a bigger house, pool and all the kids channels. I just think he's bored and wants to be with his siblings |
Question: My father told me he got a contract from my mom in case one of them died. Is this normal? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 08:33 AM PDT The contract promised that if one of them died then its okay for the live one, ""live their life."" My father also took a Will from me that when I died (I am sick)he could have my stuff (I made it out) Is this morbid that my dad would even request my mom to do such a thing? My father has no will |
Question: My whole family but me has COVID-19. What do I do if they all die? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 07:29 AM PDT By my whole family I mean my Mom and siblings, not every single cousin or anything. And no I am not a troll. I have no Dad so that is why I left him out, he left us |
Question: Should I set up a GoFundMe page for Justin Timberlake's daughter? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 06:25 AM PDT Justin is being overworked by being a dad 24 hours a day. I think that is just horrible what he's going through. |

Question: Would you ever let your son watch you having sex with your partner if he really wanted to? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 04:07 AM PDT So your son is 16 so it's all legal and he is a virgin and wants to watch you guys. Let's say you had him young so u are around 40. Would you let him watch you guys just once? |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 01:53 AM PDT I actually fought a tweaker in the parking lot. He was running his mouth, talking about my mom.. Trying to intimidate me because I called the police. He was skinny as a rail, physically hollow.. He was nothing.. There was nothing to him. He died from covid 19 a few months afterwards. By comparison.. I'm a brick wall. I'm 6 ft 6, 260 pounds and a power athlete. I kicked covid 19.. He spent a month in the hospital recovering from all the broken bones I gave him. So if you're a drug addict and want to fight me.. Just know that the very thing you defend.. Is your downfall. :) |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 12:30 AM PDT My grandma is 75 and I'm 28. I have been living with her ever since my parents died from an accident when I was 16. My grandma has enough money to go gamble and eat out. She is retired. I really think she needs to start taking over all the payments. I shouldn't have to be responsible. I even hit another car and I demanded that my grandma pay for all of the damages since it would mean that a claim would be filed against her. I even take $800 from her savings account each month without telling her. |
Question: Should I give up on my alcholic mother? Posted: 10 Apr 2020 11:40 PM PDT My mother has a drinking problem. Sometimes shell go a couple weeks without drinking, then shell start back up again. She knows how I feel about her drinking. I have depression, and she begged me to go to counseling once. She went with me to my first session, and willing brought up that she drinks too much, and that she knows Its not helping me. I straight told me that her drinking makes me deeply depressed, and makes me not want to be here. She just got mad, and said "dont you dare say that to me!" Another thing is she has 2 elder pets. I'm afraid that one day when I'm not hear, that something will happen, and shell be too drunk to drive to the vet. I told her how I feel about that, and she agreed that I'm right, and shell stop doing it. Well, shes been drunk for the past 2 days. I've urged her many times to go to rehab, but she brushes me off. Idk what else to do. I'm about ready to rehome her animals, and just leave my mother by herself, and whatever happens happens. I hate her. |
Posted: 10 Apr 2020 10:22 PM PDT I've been with my boyfriends for about 5-6 years now. I love him but his ways sometimes make me really wonder smh. he lived with me & ended moving to another state where his brother lives. Once he moved He started getting disrespectful & stuff.I ended up moving in with him as time went by (stupid) We would do laundry together food shopping clean the house, I even cooked for him almost every night.. i put my all into the meals too but He didn't appreciate it his brother lived there too & his brother would always have his friends over like everyday drinking beers getting high, it was so annoying to me. his brother friends became his friends. I told him how i felt about the company & sometimes he felt the same but he was such a coward. He even told his brother too but his brother never respected his relationship . His friends would literally over stay their welcome. I ended up having to move back to where i was because nothing was changing & it was driving me insane to the point i was so stressed & wasn't eating properly i lost about 30 pounds. Later finding out i was pregnant (great). I literally had to struggle from being there to sleeping on my grandmother's couch to finding a program that provided a shelter for pregnant moms. It was so hard & hurtful at the same time because he should be here with his family instead he's still with his little brother. At this point i give up. My child is 1month. i can't force him to be here with us. He cares too much about how ppl view him |

Posted: 10 Apr 2020 09:04 PM PDT So my teacher posted today on google classroom that he wants to put all of us in a group chat and attatched a form to put our numbers in and i put mine in and he actually made the group chat with everyone in it and everyday hes messaging us nice notes about quarantine and talking to everyone and he also wants to do a huge zoom call us with the whole class to talk about quarantine |
Question: Am I overreacting? Or is this serious? Posted: 10 Apr 2020 08:44 PM PDT My boyfriend's mother she says she wants my daughter's first words to be Mamaw towards her. Like grandma to be her first word when I want mama to be her first word towards her biological parent. I want her to not grow up resenting me or seeing my boyfriend's mom as her mother. She also "playfully" argues with me when I say she is my baby she would say back to me, "No, she is my baby." But, this makes me strongly uncomfortable like she wants to take my baby away from me where I am not in her life anymore. I just think I am over reacting but, if it is something serious I need to keep my guard up at all times. |
Question: Is my mother emotionally abusing me or am I overreacting? ? Posted: 10 Apr 2020 08:10 PM PDT To start out, I've never really had a good relationship with my mom. I was raised by my grandparents since I was a baby (I'm a college student now, currently living with grandparents due to corona) because she was unable to care for me. But I've always found that she always get extremely angry over small little things that I wouldn't think even twice about. Today, I told her that I didn't want her to continue to feed one of my animals because what she was feeding him was making him very sick. She continued to push the issue and frankly I got very annoyed and she could very easily tell that I was annoyed (I know I should have done better with being patient). She called me later this evening and asked if I was mad at her. I said that I wasn't mad, but that she honestly just aggravated me a little because she wouldn't stop. I wasn't rude or anything about it but I was honest. She then got very angry at me and asked me if I was "in a mood" and hung up. She called me back several times (12 to be exact) and said that I always treated her horribly and that I would regret how I treated her when I was older. She then called my grandparents and told them how horrible I was to everyone. And whenever I ask her to help me with something, she uses it against me when we argue ("I loaned you money a few months ago for a housing payment and you treat me like this?"). I just want someone to tell me honestly if I'm crazy for thinking that I'M the one being mistreated or not. |
