Question: What is the point of texting someone if you are barely going to say anything? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 05:33 PM PDT Don't text me wanting to chat if you aren't going to say anything but 2-3 words. When people do this I just stop texting. Especially after trying to make an effort to keep the conversation going. Example conversation Person: hey Me: hi what's up? Person: nothing Me: oh ok. What did you think of the movie last night? Person: It was good Me: Yea my favorite part was when (....) Person: Yea lol Me: What was yours? Person: Not sure Me: Oh ok Person: Yea This happens with certain people I text and I don't understand why people do this
Question: I need help with this ? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 04:24 PM PDT I am a 28 year old female and I have a best friend that's much older then me and actually she told me she is my BFF and I do feel the same way but I have met someone else that has become my friend and I have been talking to her a lot more instead of my BFF that I used to talk to so is that bad? I know a lot of people probably do this though

Posted: 12 Apr 2020 02:53 PM PDT Some of the questions she's asked me in the past couple weeks include:who are you voting for this year, if you could live in any state what would it be? After I said Texas, she immediately said let's go on a road trip. She's also been asking weird questions like who are you voting for this year and really trying to figure out my political opinions (which is something I don't discuss). And this one really baffled me, she asked me if we move to Texas, do you think we'll have an accent like Blake Shelton. What's her deal.
Question: My straight female friend..as I am too just called me ? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 02:14 PM PDT Babygirl?! How should I take that here?!?!
Question: Why won’t my bestfriend talk to me? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 11:45 AM PDT Me and my bestfriend stopped talking to each other back in January, she has me blocked on everything, just a few weeks ago she asks my other friend if she had talk to me lately, my bestfriend then proceeds to tell her that she misses me but doesnt think things will be the same between me & her. Why won't she just unblock me & talk to me myself ?
Posted: 12 Apr 2020 10:56 AM PDT I am trying to be happy, by myself, but its hard to. I have no one to email me either
Question: Does this friend want to stay connected? ? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 10:04 AM PDT I have a friend who isn't great about texting first but does occasionally, but when I text her always replies and not one word answers usually several lines. I was concerned that it was one sided so I asked if my texts bothered. She said "text me anytime I will always answer." I then told her that I valued our friendship even if it was over text with the social distancing and to please stay :) " She replied "I'm not going anywhere! I need your words of encouragement also!" So... should I not get so wrapped around The Who texts first rule in this situation?
Question: Should it hurt my feelings? ? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 08:37 AM PDT Should it hurt my feelings that a friend only tells me she misses me in a group message? The message says "I miss you" sent to all in thread But never responds I miss you too or sends it just to me.

Question: Why do they always fight each other? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 05:50 AM PDT My husband and my brother cannot coexist peacefully and must always fight each other upon meeting. It doesn't matter where it is or when, it's even happened at Thanksgiving dinner. The first thing they do is they get really mad and yell each other's names then start fighting. They destroy each other's clothes and make a huge mess wherever it happens, but rarely hurt each other. It scares people. I'm afraid that someone will call the cops eventually since it happens every time they meet without fail. I don't even know why they do it. It's like they have this irresistible urge to fight.

Posted: 12 Apr 2020 01:38 AM PDT Since young, I had been the one seeking this so-called friend. Had a good time as buddy tho. 9 out of 10 times I am the one reaching out . As I grew weary , I realise something not normal. I just stopped having this friend suddenly. If that person feels I am important ?
Question: Serious answers only for guys. How much time do you spend with your best friend? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:02 AM PDT So I recently got reconnected with my best friend and he seems to have different views of what a best friend is than I do. I wanted to hangout and talk often, he seems to want to talk once a month and hang out once a month. Sometimes he'll ignore my texts and make plans with other people. I think he's even lied to me about some stuff, but I love him like a literal brother. How much time do you spend with your best friend and how often do you text/talk on the phone?

Question: Does not wanting to talk about personal stuff make me a bad friend? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 11:11 PM PDT I'm a 17-year-old guy living in the US. I have a friend who I've known for over 5 years, but somehow I don't really feel close to her. She's okay to hang out with but I don't think we really share a personal connection. I never really told her this because I don't want to hurt her feelings. A couple of months back I had to take a break from the friendship because she was getting more and more manipulative and clingy. I don't really want to go into the details but we recently started talking again and I can tell that she wants to talk about something that's been bothering her. She keeps acting noticeably bothered, but every time I ask her about it she just says that she's fine, which we all know means that something's up. Am I scared to talk about personal stuff because I think that it'll cross a threshold and will become closer? I don't really want to be closer. I'm good with this level of friendship. Does this make me a bad friend? What do I do?

Question: Why does my sister avoid eye contact with me? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 06:57 PM PDT I'm her 30 year old brother and she's 32. So onetime I texted her telling her that if I look at her, it's not that I intend to stare. I told her that I often look at people to see if they will say hi to me so I can reciprocate. So when my family and I skype, she turns her head away quickly when I try to see my nephew. It's like she's avoiding eye contact with me. Her and I have socialized a lot in the past via texting, nothing overly personal just friendly stuff. Does she see me as being overbearing maybe? She's told me she loves me even though she's bad at showing it so I don't think she hates me.
| Question: Why is my bestfriend still ignoring me? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 06:28 PM PDT Me and my bestfriend stopped talking to each other back in January, she has me blocked on everything, just a few weeks ago she asks my other friend if she had talk to me lately, my bestfriend then proceeds to tell her that she misses me but doesnt think things will be the same between me & her. | Posted: 11 Apr 2020 11:12 AM PDT So..my freind told he made a mistake with a close freind of his the didn't talk for a month and he sincerely apologize to her she said she will forgive but she will never forget but she still needs space and he said does forgiving someone mean instantly going back to normal... I told him no it takes time is this true what I'm telling him. And he known her for years Oh and he promised her he would never do it again |
